| 2 | Multitarget therapeutic strategies for Alzheimer's disease显示文摘Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Huntington's and Parkinson's diseases have multifaceted nature because of the different factors contributing to their progression. The complex nature of neurodegenerative diseases has developed a pressing need to design multitarget-directed ligands to address the complementary pathways involved in these diseases. The major enzyme targets for development of therapeutics for Alzheimer's disease are cholinesterase and β-secretase enzymes. In this review, we discuss recent advances in profiling single target inhibitors based on these enzymes to multitarget-directed ligands as potential therapeutics for this devastating disease. | 3 | Yield and tillering response of super hybrid rice Liangyoupeijiu to tillage and establishment methods显示文摘Tillering is an important agronomic trait for rice grain production. To evaluate yield and tillering response, Liangyoupeijiu(super hybrid rice) was grown in Hunan, China during 2011–2012 under different methods of tillage(conventional and no-tillage system) and crop establishment methods(transplanting at a spacing of 20 cm × 20 cm with one seedling per hill and direct seeding at a seeding rate of 22.5 kg ha-1). Our results revealed that, at maximum tillering(Max.) and at maturity(MA) stages, direct seeding(DS) resulted in 22% more tillers than transplanting(TP) irrespective of tillage system. Tiller mortality reached a peak between panicle initiation(PI) and booting(BT) stages, and was 16% higher under conventional tillage(CT) than under no-tillage(NT). Transplanting required 29% more time for the completion of tillering and less for DS. Tillering rate was 43% higher in DS than TP under either CT or NT. There was a positive correlation between panicle number per m2and maximum tiller number per m2, but not panicle-bearing tiller rate. The panicle bearing tiller rate was higher under DS than TP and higher under NT than CT. Tiller dry weight gradually increased up to heading(HD) stage, and was 14% higher under TP than DS. Leaf area(cm2tiller-1) gradually increased from Max. to HD stage and then decreased by 34% in conventional tillage transplanting(CTTP) and 45% in no-tillage transplanting(NTTP) from 12DAH–24DAH(days after heading), but was similar(35%) under DS under either CT or NT. | 6 | Highly transmitted silver nanowires-SWCNTs conductive flexible film by nested density structure and aluminum-doped zinc oxide capping layer for flexible amorphous silicon solar cells显示文摘Indium tin oxide(ITO)is widely used in transparent conductive films(TCFs);however,several disadvan-tages,such as high cost and toxicity of indium,limit its applications.Therefore,it is necessary to develop other materials that can replace ITO.Silver nanowires or single walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)have attracted considerable interest owing to their unique electrical,optical,and thermal stabilities,and thus,they are ideal for transparent electrodes for flexible or stretchable devices.In this study,we develop a novel architecture of composite TCFs on a polyethylene naphthalate(PEN)flexible substrate.Herein,the silver nanowires-SWCNTs films with nested density structure were fabricated through ultrasonic spraying technology by varying the spraying width.For achieving enhanced transmittance,we combined the larger irregular grids and holes with fewer nanowires stacked in the longitudinal direction,more optical chan-nels,and good carrier transport.Thereafter,aluminum-doped zinc oxide(AZO)was used as capping to the structure for enhancing the optical properties of the TCFs.The silver nanowires-SWCNTs/AZO(ASA)bilayer was obtained in the optimized architecture,which showed superior optoelectronic performance to that shown by commercial ITO with a high optical transmittance of 92%at the wavelength of 550 nm and low sheet resistance of 17/sq.In the specially structured conductive film,the significant improvement in the transmittance and uniformity of the sheet resistance was attributed to the effective nanowire junc-tion contact compared to that in ordinary structure of silver nanowires,which reduced the mean density of small clusters of nanowires.Compared with the silver nanowires-SWCNTs films,the ASA bilayer film exhibited excellent resistance to boiling,mechanical bending(10,000 cycles),and CO_(2)plasma.Moreover,the sheet resistance of ASA changed slightly after the tape tests,thereby illustrating a strong adhesion to the PEN substrate after the enclosure of AZO.Meanwhile,the AZO capping layer can enhance the op-tical transmittance between 600 and 1500 nm.In addition,the amorphous silicon photovoltaic devices with flexible ASA TCFs exhibited a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 8.67%.After bending for 3000 times,the PCE was decreased to 8.20%,thereby demonstrating the potential of developed films to replace traditional ITO. | Shunliang Gao Xiaohui Zhao Qi Fu Tianchi Zhang Jun Zhu Fuhua Hou Jian Ni Chengjun Zhu Tiantian Li Yanlai Wang Vignesh Murugadoss Gaber A.M.Mersal Mohamed M.Ibrahim Zeinhom M.El-Bahy Mina Huang Zhanhu Guo | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,31: | 2 |

| 11 | Efficacy of postoperative short-term therapy of topical bevacizumab in recurrent pterygium surgery显示文摘Background:The study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of postoperative short-term therapy(for 2 weeks)of topical bevacizumab in recurrent pterygium surgery regarding to corneal vascularization and pterygium recurrence.Methods:This prospective randomized comparative study included two groups of patients with recurrent pterygium,all eyes were subjected to pterygium excision with conjunctiva auto graft,and group A(30 eyes of 30 patients)was treated with postoperative topical tobramycine and dexamethazone for 2 weeks.Group B(30 eyes of 30 patients)was treated also with postoperative topical tobramycine and dexamethazone in addition to topical bevacizumab 5 mg/mL 4 times daily for 2 weeks.Follow-up of cases up to 6 months was performed recording corneal vascularization and pterygium recurrence.Results:The results revealed that after 6 months,group A treated with postoperative tobramycine and dexamethazone reported 5 eyes of recurrence(16.7%)which not significantly(P=0.44726)(P>0.05)different from group B treated with the addition of topical bevacizumab which reported 3 eyes of recurrence(10%).But group B showed significantly different in decreasing corneal neovascularization than group A(P=0.000805)(P<0.05).Conclusions:Postoperative short-term therapy of topical bevacizumab in recurrent pterygium surgery by conjunctiva auto graft showed lower recurrence rate but not statistically significant,But it reduced significantly corneal neovascularization. | Waled M.Nada Basem M.Ibrahim | 2017 | Annals of Eye Science2017,,1: | 0 |

| 17 | Improving Date Fruit Classification Using Cycle GAN-Generated Dataset显示文摘Dates are an important part of human nutrition.Dates are high in essential nutrients and provide a number of health benefits.Date fruits are also known to protect against a number of diseases,including cancer and heart disease.Date fruits have several sizes,colors,tastes,and values.There are a lot of challenges facing the date producers.One of the most significant challenges is the classification and sorting of dates.But there is no public dataset for date fruits,which is a major limitation in order to improve the performance of convolutional neural networks(CNN)models and avoid the overfitting problem.In this paper,an augmented date fruits dataset was developed using Deep Convolutional Generative Adversarial Networks(DCGAN)and CycleGAN approach to augment our collected date fruit datasets.This augmentation is required to address the issue of a restricted number of images in our datasets,as well as to establish a balanced dataset.There are three types of dates in our proposed dataset:Sukkari,Ajwa,and Suggai.After dataset augmentation,we train our created dataset using ResNet152V2 and CNN models to assess the classification process for our three categories in the dataset.To train these two models,we start with the original dataset.Thereafter,the models were trained using the DCGAN-generated dataset,followed by the CycleGAN-generated dataset.The resulting results demonstrated that when using the ResNet152V2model,the CycleGAN-generated dataset had the highest classification performance with 96.8%accuracy,followed by the CNN model with 94.3%accuracy. | Dina M.Ibrahim Nada M.Elshennawy | 2022 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,4: | 0 |

| 20 | HLR-Net: A Hybrid Lip-Reading Model Based on Deep Convolutional Neural Networks显示文摘Lip reading is typically regarded as visually interpreting the speaker’s lip movements during the speaking.This is a task of decoding the text from the speaker’s mouth movement.This paper proposes a lip-reading model that helps deaf people and persons with hearing problems to understand a speaker by capturing a video of the speaker and inputting it into the proposed model to obtain the corresponding subtitles.Using deep learning technologies makes it easier for users to extract a large number of different features,which can then be converted to probabilities of letters to obtain accurate results.Recently proposed methods for lip reading are based on sequence-to-sequence architectures that are designed for natural machine translation and audio speech recognition.However,in this paper,a deep convolutional neural network model called the hybrid lip-reading(HLR-Net)model is developed for lip reading from a video.The proposed model includes three stages,namely,preprocessing,encoder,and decoder stages,which produce the output subtitle.The inception,gradient,and bidirectional GRU layers are used to build the encoder,and the attention,fully-connected,activation function layers are used to build the decoder,which performs the connectionist temporal classification(CTC).In comparison with the three recent models,namely,the LipNet model,the lip-reading model with cascaded attention(LCANet),and attention-CTC(A-ACA)model,on the GRID corpus dataset,the proposed HLR-Net model can achieve significant improvements,achieving the CER of 4.9%,WER of 9.7%,and Bleu score of 92%in the case of unseen speakers,and the CER of 1.4%,WER of 3.3%,and Bleu score of 99%in the case of overlapped speakers. | Amany M.Sarhan Nada M.Elshennawy Dina M.Ibrahim | 2021 | Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,8: | 0 |
