1A threshold effect of coupling delays on intra-layer synchronization in duplex networks显示文摘This paper investigates the impact of inter-layer coupling functions and intra-layer coupling delays on intra-layer synchronization regions and sychronizability. It is found that the inter-layer coupling functions have great influence on intra-layer synchronization regions, as well as on the intra-layer synchronizability. In particular, there exists an inter-layer coupling function such that the inter-layer coupling strength neither improves nor weakens the intra-layer synchronizability. Furthermore, no matter which one of three inter-layer coupling functions is chosen, a small intra-layer delay always keeps the intra-layer synchronized regions almost unchanged, implying that the small delay neither enhances nor suppresses the intra-layer synchronizability. At the same time the delay greatly frustrates the synchronizability in each layer when it is greater than some threshold. 3Real-time observation of vortex mode switching in a narrow-linewidth mode-locked fiber laser显示文摘Temporal and spatial resonant modes are always possessed in physical systems with energy oscillation.In ultrafast fiber lasers,enormous progress has been made toward controlling the interactions of many longitudinal modes,which results in temporally mode-locked pulses.Recently,optical vortex beams have been extensively investigated due to their quantized orbital angular momentum,spatially donut-like intensity,and spiral phase front.In this paper,we have demonstrated the first to our knowledge observation of optical vortex mode switching and their corresponding pulse evolution dynamics in a narrow-linewidth mode-locked fiber laser.The spatial mode switching is achieved by incorporating a dual-resonant acousto-optic mode converter in the vortex mode-locked fiber laser.The vortex mode-switching dynamics have four stages,including quiet-down,relaxation oscillation,quasi mode-locking,and energy recovery prior to the stable mode-locking of another vortex mode.The evolution dynamics of the wavelength shifting during the switching process are observed via the time-stretch dispersion Fourier transform method.The spatial mode competition through optical nonlinearity induces energy fluctuation on the time scale of ultrashort pulses,which plays an essential role in the mode-switching dynamic process.The results have great implications in the study of spatial mode-locking mechanisms and ultrashort laser applications.Jiafeng Lu Fan Shi Linghao Meng Longkun Zhang Linping Teng Zhengqian Luo Peiguang Yan Fufei Pang Xianglong Zeng 2020Photonics Research2020,8,7:2

10Factors of Fetal Origin in the Regulation of Labor Initiation and Preterm Birth显示文摘Preterm birth is the leading cause of mortality and morbidity in newborns and children under 5 years-of-age.In order to improve the survival rate and quality of preterm infants,there is critical need to identify the specific mechanisms underlying the initiation of labor.Pregnancy represents a period of constant interactive dialog between mother and fetus.A disturbance in the pattern of maternal-fetal communication can induce physiological or pathological labor.Although a number of studies have investigated the contributions of maternal factors to the initiation of labor,the concept that fetal organ development and maternal adaptation are coordinated has emerged over recent years,thus emphasizing that factors of fetal origin may serve as hormonal signals for the initiation of labor.In this review,we summarize and discuss several specific mechanisms by which factors of fetal origin may influence parturition during term or preterm labor,including the specific regulation of fetal organs,including the lungs and accessory organs during pregnancy.Future research may focus on the specific pathways by which signals from the fetal lungs and other fetal organs interact with the maternal system to initiate eventual labor.Longkun Ding Lu Gao 2023Maternal-Fetal Medicine2023,5,4:0

12Efficient Algorithms for Maximizing Group Influence in Social Networks显示文摘In social network applications,individual opinion is often influenced by groups,and most decisions usually reflect the majority’s opinions.This imposes the group influence maximization(GIM) problem that selects k initial nodes,where each node belongs to multiple groups for a given social network and each group has a weight,to maximize the weight of the eventually activated groups.The GIM problem is apparently NP-hard,given the NP-hardness of the influence maximization(IM) problem that does not consider groups.Focusing on activating groups rather than individuals,this paper proposes the complementary maximum coverage(CMC) algorithm,which greedily and iteratively removes the node with the approximate least group influence until at most k nodes remain.Although the evaluation of the current group influence against each node is only approximate,it nevertheless ensures the success of activating an approximate maximum number of groups.Moreover,we also propose the improved reverse influence sampling(IRIS) algorithm through fine-tuning of the renowned reverse influence sampling algorithm for GIM.Finally,we carry out experiments to evaluate CMC and IRIS,demonstrating that they both outperform the baseline algorithms respective of their average number of activated groups under the independent cascade(IC)model.Peihuang Huang Longkun Guo Yuting Zhong 2022Tsinghua Science and Technology2022,27,5:0
13Data Fusion with Genetic Algorithm Based Lifetime Prediction for Dependable Multi-Processor System-on-Chips显示文摘With the prevalence of big-data technology,intricate,nanoscale Multi-Processor System-on-Chips(MP-SoCs)have been used in various safety-critical applications.However,with no extra countermeasures taken,this widespread use of MP-SoCs can lead to an undesirable decrease in their dependability.This study presents a promising approach using a group of Embedded Instruments(EIs)inside a processor core for health monitoring.Multiple health monitoring datasets obtained from the employed EIs are sampled and collated via the implemented experiment and thereafter used for conducting its remaining useful lifetime prognostics.This enables MP-SoCs to undertake preventive self-repair,thus realizing a zero mean downtime system and ensuring improved dependability.In addition,a principal component analysis based algorithm is designed for realizing the EI data fusion.Subsequently,a genetic algorithm based degradation optimization is employed to create a lifetime prediction model with respect to the processor.Yong Zhao Longkun Guo Xiaoyan Zhang 2023Tsinghua Science and Technology2023,28,6:0

15Multi-componential metal intercalated graphite hybrids synthesized by co-intercalation polymerization towards highefficient microwave absorptions显示文摘Magnetic expanded graphite(EG)hybrids were synthesized by co-intercalation polymerization of aniline together with transition metal ions.Experimental results show that metal ions(Fe,Co,Ni,Cu)and even their mixtures can co-intercalate into graphite interlayers with flexibly controllable ratios and contents.Among these co-intercalation compounds,Fe/Ni-intercalated graphite with a predesigned mole ratio of 1:3 transforms into NiFe_(2)O_(4)/FeNi_(3)@EG during the annealing process.The synthesized magnetic EG hybrids present multiband microwave absorption in C and X bands due to improved impedance match as well as significantly enhanced interfacial polarization relaxation induced by multi-componential metals.The reflection values of−39.1 dB at 6.95 GHz and−25.7 dB at 9.4 GHz are achieved with an ultra-low loading of 5 wt.%.This work provides a flexible approach for tuning the components and structures of magnetic EG hybrids,which may contribute to the development of microwave absorption materials with superior performances.Junhua Su Qinbo Ma Longkun Que Hunan Jiang Xiaoling Xu Yong Wang Yifan Guo Zuowan Zhou 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
16PD-1/L1 inhibitors can improve but not replace chemotherapy for advanced urothelial carcinoma:A systematic review and network meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Programmed cell death-1/ligand 1 inhibitors are a new treatment strategy for advanced urothelial carcinoma.Therefore,a comparative evaluation of their efficacy and toxicity compared with chemotherapy is necessary.Methods:We comprehensively searched PubMed,Web of Science,Embase,and Cochrane Library databases and performed a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials up to July 2021.We considered overall survival as the primary outcome,and progression-free survival,objective response rate,and treatment-related adverse events as secondary outcomes.Results:Overall,3584 patients from five studies were evaluated.Compared with first-line chemotherapy,programmed cell death-1/ligand 1 inhibitors were significantly associated with worse progression-free survival(p<0.001)and adverse objective response rates(p<0.001).However,the treatments were not significantly different in terms of overall survival(p=0.33).Compared with second-line chemotherapy,programmed cell death-1/ligand 1 inhibitors significantly improved overall survival(p<0.001),and there was no statistically significant difference in progression-free survival(p=0.89)or objective response rate(p=0.34).Compared with chemotherapy,programmed cell death-1/ligand 1 inhibitors were well tolerated(first-line chemotherapy:p<0.001;second-line chemotherapy:p<0.001).Conclusions:The efficacy of programmed cell death-1/ligand 1 inhibitors in patients with advanced urothelial carcinoma is not superior to that of first-line platinum-based chemotherapy but is better than second-line chemotherapy;however,programmed cell death-1/ligand 1 inhibitors are safer than first-and second-line chemotherapy and have a broader prospect for use in combination therapy.Longkun Mao Meihua Yang Xinxiang Fan Wenjie Li Xiaodong Huang Wang He Tianxin Lin Jian Huang 2023Cancer Innovation2023,2,3:0
17Viologens-based redox mediators with tunable HOMO–LUMO energy gap for highly effective hydrogen peroxide electrosynthesis显示文摘In comparison with the developing nano-carbon catalysts,some small organic molecules are also emerging as catalysts with typical features,however,their working mechanism is still unclear.Here,we synthesized a series of viologen-based heterogeneous catalysts with the same molecular skeleton but different substituent groups through anion exchange engineering.These viologen-based molecules were used as a model catalyst to investigate the underlying structure–function relationship for small molecules-based H_(2)O_(2) electrosynthesis.Differing from the commonly reported carbon-based electrocatalysts,viologens can produce H_(2)O_(2) in a synergistic manner,which means that viologens can not only directly catalyze oxygen reduction but also serve as a redox mediator.We found that the ring current and H_(2)O_(2) selectivity of viologens deliver an increasing trend with the increase of the alkyl chain length of alkyl-substituted viologens and further increase when using benzyl as the substituent group.As a result,a benzyl-substituted viologen(BV)delivers the best electrocatalytic performance among the samples,including the highest H_(2)O_(2) selectivity of 96.9%at 0.6 V and the largest ring current density of about 13.6 mA·mmol-1.Furthermore,density functional theory(DFT)calculations disclose that the carbon atoms bonded with positively charged N are the active sites and the small highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO)–lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO)energy gap of BV is beneficial to the synergistic mechanism for H_(2)O_(2) production.This work sheds new insight into the efficient H_(2)O_(2) production in a synergistic manner for small molecules-based electrocatalysts.Yang Gao Xiaohui Xu Yue Niu Xinran Hu Zeyu Li Longkun Yang Linjie Zhi Bin Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,12:0
18A Two-Stage Method for Routing in Field-Programmable Gate Arrays with Time-Division Multiplexing显示文摘Emerging applications widely use field-programmable gate array(FPGA)prototypes as a tool to verify modern very-large-scale integration(VLSI)circuits,imposing many problems,including routing failure caused by the limited number of connections among blocks of FPGAs therein.Such a shortage of connections can be alleviated through time-division multiplexing(TDM),by which multiple signals sharing an identical routing channel can be transmitted.In this context,the routing quality dominantly decides the performance of such systems,proposing the requirement of minimizing the signal delay between FPGA pairs.This paper proposes algorithms for the routing problem in a multi-FPGA system with TDM support,aiming to minimize the maximum TDM ratio.The algorithm consists of two major stages:(1)A method is proposed to set the weight of an edge according to how many times it is shared by the routing requirements and consequently to compute a set of approximate minimum Steiner trees.(2)A ratio assignment method based on the edge-demand framework is devised for assigning ratios to the edges respecting the TDM ratio constraints.Experiments were conducted against the public benchmarks to evaluate our proposed approach as compared with all published works,and the results manifest that our method achieves a better TDM ratio in comparison.Peihuang Huang Longkun Guo Long Sun Xiaoyan Zhang 2022Tsinghua Science and Technology2022,27,6:0
