1Precise nanomedicine for intelligent therapy of cancer显示文摘Precise nanomedicine has been extensively explored for efficient cancer imaging and targeted cancer therapy, as evidenced by a few breakthroughs in their preclinical and clinical explorations. Here, we demonstrate the recent advances of intelligent cancer nanomedicine, and discuss the comprehensive understanding of their structure-function relationship for smart and efficient cancer nanomedicine including various imaging and therapeutic applications, as well as nanotoxicity. In particular, a few emerging strategies that have advanced cancer nanomedicine are also highlighted as the emerging focus such as tumor imprisonment, supramolecular chemotherapy, and DNA nanorobot. The challenge and outlook of some scientific and engineering issues are also discussed in future development. 2New yellow Ba_(0.93)Eu_(0.07)Al_(2)O_(4) phosphor for warm-white light-emitting diodes through single-emitting-center conversion显示文摘Phosphor-converted white light-emitting diodes for indoor illumination need to be warm-white(i.e.,correlated color temperature,4000 K)with good color rendition(i.e.,color rendering index.80).However,no single-phosphor,single-emitting-center-converted white light-emitting diodes can simultaneously satisfy the color temperature and rendition requirements due to the lack of sufficient red spectral component in the phosphors’emission spectrum.Here,we report a new yellow Ba_(0.93)Eu_(0.07)Al_(2)O_(4) phosphor that has a new orthorhombic lattice structure and exhibits a broad yellow photoluminescence band with sufficient red spectral component.Warm-white emissions with correlated color temperature,4000 K and color rendering index.80 were readily achieved when combining the Ba_(0.93)Eu_(0.07)Al_(2)O_(4) phosphor with a blue light-emitting diode(440–470 nm).This study demonstrates that warm-white light-emitting diodes with high color rendition(i.e.,color rendering index.80)can be achieved based on single-phosphor,single-emitting-center conversion.Xufan Li John D Budai Feng Liu Jane Y Howe Jiahua Zhang Xiao-Jun Wang Zhanjun Gu Chengjun Sun Richard S Meltzer Zhengwei Pan 2013Light(Science & Applications)2013,2,1:11

4Multilocular Cystic Renal Cell Carcinoma:A Series of 8 Cases and Review of the Literature显示文摘OBJECTIVE To study the clinical,pathologic and imaging features of multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma(MCRCC)and to review the diagnosis and treatment of this subtype of renal cell carcinoma(RCC). METHODS The data from 8 cases(mean age,49.4;5 men and 3 women) who had been treated from 2004 to 2006,were reviewed retrospectively. Radiologic and pathologic documents were evaluated.For treatments,radi- cal nephrectomy was conducted in 4 patients,partial nephrectomy in 2 and laparoscopic nephrectomy in 2. RESULTS Postoperative pathological findings confirmed the diagnosis of MCRCC.The stage of al 8 cases was pT1.For pathologic grade,7 cases were G1 and 1 case was G2.Seven patients available for follow-up had sur- vived tumor-free during the mean time of 8 months. 8The influence of different underlying surface on sand-duststorm in northern China显示文摘In thispaper,a quantitative research on the relationship between differentunderlying surface and sand-duststorm has been made by using 40 years meteorologicaldata offive differenttypes of underlying surface in northern China,which include farmland,grassland,sandland,gobiand saltcrust. These metrologicaldata comprise sand-duststorm days and strong wind days.By analyzing,we can find that there are certain correlations between the days of sand-dust storm and strong wind for differentunderlying surface,which has greatinfluence on sand-duststorm.Butthere are pronounced differences in differenttypes ofunderlying surface.The sand-duststorm days ofgrassland,gobiand saltcrust,with smallerinterannualvariation are obviously less than strong wind days.On the other hand,the sand-duststorm days offarmland and sandland increase evidently,even in many years,are much more than strong wind days.The differencesare mainly induced by the influencing mechanism of different underlying surface on sand-dust storm. Grassland, gobi and salt crust with stable underlying surface are not prone to sand-dust storm under strong wind condition. 9Preparation of genuine Yeo-Chua entangled state and teleportation of two-atom state via cavity QED显示文摘We first propose a scheme for preparing the genuine Yeo-Chua 4-qubit entangled state via cavity QED. Using the genuine Yeo-Chua atomic state, we further propose a cavity QED scheme for teleporting an arbitrary two-atom state. In two schemes the large-detuning is chosen and the necessary time is designed to be much shorter than Rydberg-atom’s lifespan. Both schemes share the distinct advantage that cavity decay and atom decay can be neglected. As for the interaction manipulation, our preparation scheme is more feasible than a recent similar one. 10Toxicity of manufactured nanomaterials显示文摘Manufactured nanomaterials with unique properties have been extensively applied in various indus-trial,agricultural or medical fields.However,some of the properties have been identified to be closely related to nanomaterial toxicity.The'nano-paradox'has aroused concerns over the use and develop-ment of nanotechnology,which makes it difficult for regulatory agencies to regulate nanomaterials.The key to fulfilling proper nanomaterial regulation lies in the adequate understanding of the impact of nanomaterial properties on nano-bio interactions.To this end,we start the present work with a brief intro-duction to nano-bio interactions at different levels.Based on that,how key toxicity-associated properties of manufactured nanomaterials(i.e.,size,shape,chemical composition,surface properties,biocorona formation,agglomeration and/or aggregation state,and biodegradability)impact their toxicokinetics,cel-lular uptake,trafficking and responses,and toxicity mechanisms is deeply explored.Moreover,advanced analytical methods for studying nano-bio interactions are introduced.Furthermore,the current reg-ulatory and legislative frameworks for nanomaterial-containing products in different regions and/or countries are presented.Finally,we propose several challenges facing the nanotoxicology field and their possible solutions to shed light on the safety evaluation of nanomaterials.Yaping Liu Shuang Zhu Zhanjun Gu Chunying Chen Yuliang Zhao 2022Particuology2022,20,10:3
11Near infrared light triggered nitric oxide releasing platform based on upconversion nanoparticles for synergistic therapy of cancer stem-like cells显示文摘Near infrared(NIR) light-driven nitric oxide(NO) release nano-platform based on upconversion nanoparticles(UCNPs) and light sensitive NO precursor Roussin's black salt(RBS) was fabricated to generate NO upon 808 nm irradiation. The application of 808 nm laser as the excitation source could achieve better penetration depth and avoid overheating problem. The combination of UCNPs and RBS could realize the on-demand release of NO at desired time and location by simply controlling the output of NIR laser.Cellular uptake results showed that more nanoparticles were internalized in cancer stem-like cells(CSCs)rather than non-CSCs. Therefore, a synergistic cancer therapy strategy to eradicate both CSCs and nonCSCs simultaneously was developed. Traditional chemo-drug could inhibit non-CSCs but has low killing efficiency in CSCs. However, we found that the combination of NO and chemotherapy could efficiently inhibit CSCs in bulk cells, including inhibiting mammosphere formation ability, decreasing CD44^+/CD24^- subpopulation and reducing tumorigenic ability. The mechanism studies confirmed that NO could not only induce apoptosis but also increase drug sensitivity by declining drug efflux in CSCs. 13Efficient and high-fidelity base editor with expanded PAM compatibility for cytidine dinucleotide显示文摘Cytidine base editor(CBE),which is composed of a cytidine deaminase fused to Cas9 nickase,has been widely used to induce C-to-T conversions in a wide range of organisms.However,the targeting scope of current CBEs is largely restricted to protospacer adjacent motif(PAM)sequences containing G,T,or A bases.In this study,we developed a new base editor termed“nNme2-CBE”with excellent PAM compatibility for cytidine dinucleotide,significantly expanding the genome-targeting scope of CBEs.Using nNme2-CBE,targeted editing efficiencies of 29.0%-55.0%and 17.3%—52.5%were generated in human cells and rabbit embryos,respectively.In contrast to conventional nSp-CBE,the nNme2-CBE is a natural high-fidelity base editing platform with minimal DNA off-targeting detected in vivo.Significantly increased efficiency in GC context and precision were determined by combining nNme2Cas9 with rationally engineered cytidine deaminases.In addition,the Founder rabbits with accurate single-base substitutions at Fgf5 gene loci were successfully generated by using the nNme2-CBE system.These novel nNme2-CBEs with expanded PAM compatibility and high fidelity will expand the base editing toolset for efficient gene modification and therapeutic applications.Zhiquan Liu Siyu Chen Yingqi Jia Huanhuan Shan Mao Chen Yuning Song Liangxue Lai Zhanjun Li 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,8:2
14Microstructures and Phase Transition in Omphacite: Constraints on the P-T Path of Shuanghe Eclogite (Dabie Orogen)显示文摘Omphacite microstructures are important to decipher the metamorphic pressuretemperature(P-T)conditions of eclogite during subduction and exhumation processes.Here we present a systematic microstructural investigation of omphacite using transmission electron microscopy(TEM)in an ultrahigh-pressure(UHP)eclogite sample from Shuanghe,Dabie orogen,China.The omphacite can be divided into two phases:(1)Omp-1,exhibits as the main part of omphacite with P2/n space group containing small amount of dislocations and numerous antiphase domains(APDs).(2)Omp-2,shows as banded subgrains with C2/c space group containing large amount of dislocations.These two phases of omphacite have almost the same crystallography orientation and bounded by dislocation walls.Along these dislocation walls,we found some barroisite and albite microcrystals.The barroisite microcrystals contain large amount of dislocations and show a topological relation with host omphacite.While the albite microcrystals contain small amount of dislocations and does not show topological relation with host.These microstructures could give us the following metamorphic information to constrain the P-T path of eclogite:Firstly,this two omphacite space groups should be evolved from the same precursor C2/c omphacite,which had been underwent strongly plastic deformation during the syn-to late-peak metamorphic stage.Secondly,the precursor C2/c omphacite began to be retrograded and altered by small amount of barroisite microcrystals along its dislocation walls under the P-T condition of 2.2–2.6 GPa and 650–700℃ at the early amphibole eclogite stage.Thirdly,large amount of Na and other elements were exsolved from some precursor C2/c omphacite subgrains and crystallized numerous albite microcrystals at their boundaries,which is the necessary for the space group of C2/c surviving under the lower P-T conditions(1.7–1.9 GPa and 630–690 C)during the middle amphibole eclogite stage.Lastly,the rest of precursor C2/c omphacite subgrains were transformed into P2/n polymorph and formed the APDs structures under the P-T condition of^1.5 GPa and 650–680℃ during the late amphibole eclogite stage.Zhanjun Xie Xiangwen Liu Zhenmin Jin Zhuoyue Li 2020Journal of Earth Science2020,31,2:2

20Effects of Cure Pressure Induced Voids on the Mechanical Strength of Carbon/Epoxy Laminates显示文摘This work aims at designing a set of curing pressure routes to produce laminates with various void contents. The effects of various consolidation pressures resulting in different void contents on mechanical strength of carbon/epoxy laminates have been examined. Characterization of the voids, in terms of void volume fraction, void distribution,size, and shape, was performed by standard test, ultrasonic inspection and metallographic analysis. The interlaminar shear strength was measured by the short-beam method. An empirical model was used to predict the strength vs porosity.
