1A new approach based on PSO algorithm to find good computational encoding sequences显示文摘Computational encoding DNA sequence design is one of the most important steps in molecular computation. A lot of research work has been done to design reliable sequence library. A revised method based on the support system developed by Tanaka et al. is proposed here with different criteria to construct fitness function. Then we adapt particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to our encoding problem. By using the new algorithm, a set of sequences with good quality is generated. The result also shows that our PSO-based approach could rapidly converge at the minimum level for an output of the simulation model. 2Tissue P systems with cell separation: attacking the partition problem显示文摘Tissue P systems are distributed parallel and non-deterministic computing models in the framework of membrane computing, which are inspired by intercellular communication and cooperation between neurons. Recently, cell separation is introduced into tissue P systems, which enables systems to generate an exponential workspace in a polynomial time. In this work, the computational power of tissue P systems with cell separation is investigated. 3Design and Synthesis of Cu@CuS Yolk–Shell Structures with Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity显示文摘Non-spherical Cu@Cu S yolk–shell structures are successfully obtained using Cu_2 O cube templates in a process combining rapid surface sulfidation followed by disproportionation of the Cu_2 O core upon treatment with a hydrochloric acid solution. By employing the above method,Cu@Cu S yolk–shell structures with different morphologies,including octahedral, truncated octahedral, and cuboctahedral shapes, can be synthesized. The void space within the hollow structures provides a unique confined space, where the metallic copper present in the core of a shell can be protected from agglomeration and oxidation. Furthermore,the presence of metal copper in these hollow structurescontributes to improvement in the photocatalytic properties of these materials. 4Characterization of a Lacustrine Shale Reservoir and the Evolution of its Nanopores: A Case Study of the Upper Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation in the Songliao Basin, Northeastern China显示文摘The Songliao Basin is one of the most important petroliferous basins in northern China. With a recent gradual decline in conventional oil production in the basin, the exploration and development of unconventional resources are becoming increasingly urgent. The Qingshankou Formation consists of typical Upper Cretaceous continental strata, and represents a promising and practical replacement resource for shale oil in the Songliao Basin. Previous studies have shown that low-mature to mature Qingshankou shale mainly preserves type Ⅰ and type Ⅱ1 organic matter, with relatively high total organic carbon(TOC) content. It is estimated that there is a great potential to explore for shale oil resources in the Qingshankou Formation in this basin. However, not enough systematic research has been conducted on pore characteristics and their main controlling factors in this lacustrine shale reservoir. In this study, 19 Qingshankou shales from two wells drilled in the study area were tested and analyzed for mineral composition, pore distribution and feature evolution using Xray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), low-pressure nitrogen gas adsorption(N2-GA), and thermal simulation experiments. The XRD results show that clay, quartz, and feldspar are the dominant mineral constituents of Qingshankou shale. The clay minerals are mostly illite/smectite mixed layers with a mean content of 83.5%, followed by illite, chlorite, and kaolinite. There are abundant deposits of clay-rich shale in the Qingshankou Formation in the study area, within which many mineral and organic matter pores were observed using SEM. Mineral pores contribute the most to shale porosity;specifically, clay mineral pores and carbonate pores comprise most of the mineral pores in the shale. Among the three types of organic matter pores, type B is more dominant the other two. Pores with diameters greater than 10 nm supply the main pore volume;most are half-open slits and wedge-shaped pores. The total pore volume had no obvious linear relationship with TOC content, but had some degree of positive correlation with the content of quartz + feldspar and clay minerals respectively. However, it was negatively correlated with carbonate mineral content. The specific surface area of the pores is negatively related to TOC content, average pore diameter, and carbonate mineral content. Moreover, it had a somewhat positive correlation with clay mineral content and no clear linear relationship with the content of quartz + feldspar. With increases in maturity, there was also an increase in the number of carbonate mineral dissolution pores and organic matter pores, average pore diameter, and pore volume, whereas there was a decrease in specific surface area of the pores. Generally, the Qingshankou shale is at a low-mature to mature stage with a TOC content of more than 1.0%, and could be as thick as 250 m in the study area. Pores with diameters of more than 10 nm are well-developed in the shale. 10Dual functions of PsmiR172b-PsTOE3 module in dormancy release and flowering in tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa)显示文摘MicroRNAs(miRNAs)are non-coding RNAs that interact with target genes and are involved in many physiological processes in plants.miR172-AP2 mainly plays a role in the regulation of f lowering time and floral organ differentiation.Bud dormancy release is necessary for forcing culture of tree peony in winter,but the mechanism of dormancy regulation is unclear.In this study,we found that a miR172 family member,PsmiR172b,was downregulated during chilling-induced bud dormancy release in tree peony,exhibiting a trend opposite to that of PsTOE3.RNA ligase-mediated(RLM)5-RACE(rapid amplification of cDNA ends)confirmed that miR172b targeted PsTOE3,and the cleavage site was between bases 12(T)and 13(C)within the complementary site to miR172b.The functions of miR172b and PsTOE3 were detected by virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS)and their overexpression in tree peony buds.PsmiR172b negatively regulated bud dormancy release,but PsTOE3 promoted bud dormancy release,and the genes associated with bud dormancy release,including PsEBB1,PsEBB3,PsCYCD,and PsBG6,were upregulated.Further analysis indicated that PsTOE3 directly regulated PsEBB1 by binding to its promoter,and the specific binding site was a C-repeat(ACCGAC).Ectopic expression in Arabidopsis revealed that the PsmiR172b-PsTOE3 module displayed conservative function in regulating f lowering.In conclusion,our results provided a novel insight into the functions of PsmiR172-PsTOE3 and possible molecular mechanism underlying bud dormancy release in tree peony.Yuxi Zhang Linqiang Gao Yanyan Wang Demei Niu Yanchao Yuan Chunying Liu Xinmei Zhan Shupeng Gai 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,4:0
11Blue LED promotes the chemosensitivity of human hepatoma to Sorafenib by inducing DNA damage显示文摘Background:Phototherapies based on sunlight,infrared,ultraviolet,visible,and laser-based treatments present advantages like high curative effects,small invasion,and negligible adverse reactions in cancer treatment.We aimed to explore the potential therapeutic effects of blue light emitting diode(LED)in human hepatoma cells and decipher the underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms.Methods:Wound healing and transwell assays were employed to probe the inhibition of the invasion and migration of hepatocellular carcinoma cells in the presence of blue LED.The sphere-forming test was used to evaluate the effect of LED blue light irradiation on cancer stem cell properties.Immunofluorescence and western blotting were used to detect the changes inγ-H2AX.The Cell Counting Kit-8 assay,5-ethynyl-2′-deoxyuridine staining,and colony formation assay were used to detect the combined effect of blue LED and sorafenib on cell proliferation inhibition.Results:We demonstrated that the irradiation of blue LED light in hepatoma cells could lead to cell proliferation reduction along with the increase of cell apoptosis.Simultaneously,blue LED irradiation also markedly suppressed the migration and invasion ability of human hepatoma cells.Sphere formation analysis further revealed the decreased cancer stemness of hepatoma cells upon blue LED irradiation.Mechanistically,blue LED irradiation significantly promoted the expression of the phosphorylation of the core histone protein H2AX(γ-H2AX),a sensitive molecular marker of DNA damage.In addition,we found that the combined treatment of blue LED irradiation and sorafenib increased cancer cell sensitivity to sorafenib.Conclusion:Collectively,we demonstrated that blue LED irradiation exhibited anti-tumor effects on liver cancer cells by inducing DNA damage and could enhance chemosensitivity of cancer cells,which represents a potential approach for human hepatoma treatment.TONG WANG JINHUAN HONG JIAJIE XIE QIAN LIU JINRUI YUE XUTING HE SHIYU GE TAO LI GUOXIN LIU BENZHI CAI LINQIANG LI YE YUAN 2023BIOCELL2023,47,8:0
12Identification of potential sex-related genes in Siniperca chuatsi显示文摘Mandarin fish(Siniperca chuatsi)is an economically important freshwater fish cultured in China.In this species,females grow faster than males.However,due to the lack of available genomic and transcriptome information,the mechanisms of sex differentiation remain poorly understood.In this study,Illumina high-throughput sequencing technology was used to sequence four cDNA libraries;the tissues examined included hypothalamus,pituitary gland,ovary,and testis.A total of 134124 high-quality unigenes were obtained on average length of 1361 bp and N50 of 3312 bp.A search of all-unigene sequences against NR,NT,SwissProt,KOG,KEGG,GO,and InterPro databases resulted in 59688(44.50%),76329(56.91%),50432(37.60%),45741(34.10%),48760(36.35%),5241(3.91%),and 46099(34.37%)annotations,respectively.In a comparison of ovarian and testicular libraries,15289 ovary-biased genes and 10035 testis-biased genes were identified,including a series of genes related to sex determination and differentiation,such as cyp19a1a,foxl2,sox9,dmrt1,amh,and others.In addition,49495 SSRs and 85899 SNPs were detected in transcriptome data.Quantitative real-time PCR results of 15 sex-related functional genes indicated that RNA-seq data was reliable.This study will contribute to a better understanding of the molecular mechanisms of sex differentiation and development in Mandarin fish.Qiaoying ZHU Chong HAN Cheng PENG Xingni ZHOU Chongwei WANG Linqiang HAN Shuisheng LI Guifeng LI Haoran LIN Yong ZHANG 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,4:0

14H_(2)S-releasing adhesive hydrogel as oral radioprotectant for gastrointestinal tract radioprotection显示文摘Radiation damage can cause a series of gastrointestinal(GI)tract diseases.The development of safe and effective GI tract radioprotectants still remains a great challenge clinically.Here,we firstly report an oral radioprotectant Gel@GYY that integrates a porous gelatin-based(Gel)hydrogel and a pH-responsive hydrogen sulfide(H2S)donor GYY4137(morpholin-4-ium 4 methoxyphenyl(morpholino)phosphinodithioate).Gel@GYY has a remarkable adhesion ability and long retention time,which not only enables responsive release of low-dose H2S in stomach and subsequently sustained release of H2S in the whole intestinal tract especially in the colon,but also ensures a close contact between H2S and GI tract.The released H2S can effectively scavenge free radicals induced by X-ray radiation,reduce lipid peroxidation level,repair DNA damage and recover vital superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase activities.Meanwhile,the released H2S inhibits radiation-induced activation of nuclear factorκB(NF-κB),thus reducing inflammatory cytokines levels in GI tract.After treatment,Gel@GYY displays efficient excretion from mice body due to its biodegradability.This work provides a new insight for therapeutic application of intelligent H2S-releasing oral delivery system and potential alternative to clinical GI physical damage protectant.Peng Shan Jing Liao Jiayi Li Chengyan Wang Jie Zhou Linqiang Mei Yunlu Dai Qiang Wang Wenyan Yin 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,1:0
15Mn^(2+)-doped ZrO_(2)@PDA nanocomposite for multimodal imaging-guided chemo-photothermal combination therapy显示文摘Developing low toxicity and multifunctional theranostic nanoplatform is the key for precise cancer diagnosis and treatment.Herein,an inorganic-organic hybrid nanocomposite is designed by modifying zirconium dioxide(ZrO_(2)) with polydopamine(PDA) followed by doping Mn^(2+) ions and functionalizing with Tween 20(Tween-ZrO_(2)@PDA-Mn2+) for multimodal imaging and chemo-photothermal combination therapy.The as-prepared nanocomposite exhibits good biocompatibility in vitro and in vivo.Specifically,it can be employed as a multifunctional platform not only for computed tomography(CT)imaging and T1-weighted magnetic resonance(MR) imaging,but also for efficient chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin hydrochloride(DOX) loading.Importantly,because of the pronounced photothermal conversion performance and controllable DOX release ability triggered by the near-infrared(NIR)irradiation and acidic pH,the synergistic effect between photothermal the rapy and chemotherapy results in an enhanced cancer treatment efficacy in vivo.Our work provides a high-performance inorganicorganic hybrid nanotheranostic platform for chemo-photothermal cancer therapy guided by CT and MR imaging.Ning Chen Wenhui Fu Jie Zhou Linqiang Mei Jimin Yang Yang Tian Qiang Wang Wenyan Yin 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,8:0
