1The Reference Genome of Tea Plant and Resequencing of 81 Diverse Accessions Provide Insights into Its Genome Evolution and Adaptation显示文摘Tea plant is an important economic crop,which is used to produce the world's oldest and most widely consumed tea beverages.Here,we present a high-quality reference genome assembly of the tea plant(Camellia sinensis var.sinensis)consisting of 15 pseudo-chromosomes.LTR retrotransposons(LTR-RTs)account for 70.38%of the genome,and we present evidence that LTR-RTS play critical roles in genome size expansion and the transcriptional diversification of tea plant genes through preferential insertion in promoter regions and introns.Genes,particularly those coding for terpene biosynthesis pro-teins,associated with tea aroma and stress resistance were significantly amplified through recent tandem duplications and exist as gene clusters in tea plant genome.Phylogenetic analysis of the sequences of 81 tea plant accessions with diverse origins revealed three well-differentiated tea plant populations,support-ing the proposition for the southwest origin of the Chinese cultivated tea plant and its later spread to western Asia through introduction.Domestication and modern breeding left significant signatures on hundreds of genes in the tea plant genome,particularly those associated with tea quality and stress resis-tance.The genomic sequences of the reported reference and resequenced tea plant accessions provide valuable resources for future functional genomics study and molecular breeding of improved cul-tivars of tea plants.Enhua Xia Wei Tong Yan Hou Yanlin An Linbo Chen Qiong Wu Yunlong Liu Jie Yu Fangdong Li Ruopei Li Penghui Li Huijuan Zhao Ruoheng Ge Jin Huang Ali Inayat Mallano Yanrui Zhang Shengrui Liu Weiwei Deng Chuankui Song Zhaoliang Zhang Jian Zhao Shu Wei Zhengzhu Zhang Tao Xia Chaoling Wei Xiaochun Wan 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,7:51

5Preparation and Corrosion Resistance of Anodic Oxidation Coatings on 2198 and 5A90 Al-Li Alloys显示文摘2198 and 5A90 Al-Li alloys were anodized with a constant DC potential in 18%H_2SO_4solution(Solu.A) and the mixture solution of 18%H_2SO_4+5%C_2H_2O_4(Solu.B) at room temperature. 12 and 11 V was optimized as the applied oxidation potential for 2198 and 5A90 alloys, respectively. Cross-sectional morphology, surface morphology and elements distribution of anodic oxidation coatings were observed by scanning electron microscope equipped with energy dispersive X-ray analysis(SEM/EDX). Corrosion resistance was tested by potentiodynamic polarization plot in 3.5%NaCl solution. The results showed that the thicknesses of coatings obtained at the selected potential in Solu.A and Solu.B were about 50 μm/110 μm for 2198 alloy and 80 μm/110 μm for 5A90 alloy. In both solutions, anodic oxidation coatings of 2198 alloy were primarily composed of Al oxides; those of 5A90 alloy were mainly consisted of Al oxides and a small amount of Mg oxides. 8Synthesis of ZSM-5 with the silica source from industrial hexafluorosilicic acid as transalkylation catalyst显示文摘A new effective process to improve the utilization of industrial fluorosilicic acid of phosphate fertilizer by-product has been investigated to comprehensive application of the silicon and fluorine source. Two-step ammoniation was applied to recover high-quality silica. The recovered silica can be used to hydrothermal synthesize ZSM-5 zeolite without impurity phase contamination, which was confirmed by XRD, TG, SEM, BET and EDS characteristic techniques. It was found that with the increase of SiO_2/Al_2O_3 ratio and the extension of reaction time, the crystal type transform from the orthorhombic to the monoclinic phase. The impurity fluorine content of the recovered SiO_2 from H_2SiF_6 has great influence on the hydrothermal process for ZSM-5 crystal structure formation.Moreover, the increase of fluorine ions content in the hydrothermal process can control the crystal morphology and size of synthesized ZSM-5. Catalytic properties of synthesized HZSM-5 with different SiO_2/Al_2O_3 ratio in transalkylation of toluene and 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene show good and stable catalytic performance. 14Highly active CoP-CO_(2)N confined in nanocarbon enabling efficient electrocatalytic immobilizing-conversion of polysulfide targeting high-rate lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur batteries suffer from poor cycling stability because of the intrinsic shuttling effect of intermediate polysulfides and sluggish reaction kinetics,especially at high rates and high sulfur loading.Herein,we report the construction of a CoP-CO_(2)N@N-doped carbon polyhedron uniformly anchored on three-dimensional carbon nanotubes/graphene(CoP-CO_(2)N@NC/CG)scaffold as a sulfur reservoir to achieve the trapping-diffusion-conversion of polysulfides.Highly active CoP-CO_(2)N shows marvelous catalytic effects by effectively accelerating the reduction of sulfur and the oxidation of Li_(2)S during the discharging and charging process,respectively,while the conductive NC/CG network with massive mesoporous channels ensures fast and continuous long-distance electron/ion transportation.DFT calculations demonstrate that the CoP-CO_(2)N with excellent intrinsic conductivity serves as job-synergistic immobilizing-conversion sites for polysulfides through the formation of P…Li/N…Li and Co…S bonds.As a result,the S@CoP-CO_(2)N@NC/CG cathode(sulfur content 1.7 mg cm^(-2))exhibits a high capacity of988 mAh g^(-1)at 2 C after 500 cycles,which is superior to most of the electrochemical performance reported.Even under high sulfur content(4.3 mg cm^(-2)),it also shows excellent cyclability with high capacity at 1 C.Xiaojun Zhao Tianqi Gao Wenhao Ren Chuan Zhao Zhi-Hong Liu Linbo Li 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,,12:1

16Carbon storage of a subtropical forest ecosystem: a case study of the Jinggang Mountain National Nature Reserve in south-eastern China显示文摘The carbon cycle of forest ecosystems plays a key role in regulating CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere. Research on carbon storage estimation of forest ecosystems has become a major research topic. However, carbon budgets of subtropical forest ecosystems have received little attention. Reports of soil carbon storage and topographic heterogeneity of carbon storage are limited. This study focused on the Jinggang Mountain National Nature Reserve as an example of a mid-subtropical forest and evaluated soil and vegetation carbon storage by field sampling combined with GIS, RS and GPS technology. We classified the forest into nine forest types using ALOS high-resolution remote sensing images. The evergreen broad-leaved forest has the largest area, occupying 26.5% of the total area, followed by coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests and warm temperate coniferous forest, occupying 24.2 and 22.9%, respectively. The vegetation and soil carbon storage of the whole forest ecosystem were 1,692,344 and 5,514,707 t, with a carbon density of 7.4 and 24.2 kg/m^2, respectively, which suggests that the ecosystem has great carbon storage capacity. The topographic heterogeneity of the carbon storage was also analysed. The largest vegetation storage and soil storage is at 700–800 and 1000–1100 m, respectively. 17Temporal dynamic changes of connexin 43 expression in C6 cells following lipopolysaccharide stimulation显示文摘Connexin 43,a gap junction protein,is expressed mainly in glia in the central nervous system.Neuroinflammation plays an important role in central nervous system injury.Changes to glial connexin 43 levels and neuroinflammation may trigger brain injury and neurodegenerative diseases.To illustrate the relationship between connexin 43 and neuroinflammation,this study investigated how connexin 43 expression levels change in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated rat C6 glioma cells.C6 cells were treated with 0.05,0.25,0.5,1,2.5 and 5 μg/mL lipopolysaccharide for 24 hours.The nitrite estimation-detected nitric oxide release level was elevated substantially after lipopolysaccharide stimulation.To test the transcriptional level changes of inducible nitric oxide synthase,tumor necrosis factor-α and connexin 43 mRNA,C6 cells were treated with 5 μg/mL lipopolysaccharide for 3-48 hours.Reverse transcription-PCR showed that the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase and tumor necrosis factor-α mRNA increased over time,but connexin 43 mRNA levels increased in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated C6 cells at 3 and 6 hours,and then decreased from 12 to 48 hours.Connexin 43 protein expression was detected by immunofluorescence staining,and the protein levels matched the mRNA expression levels.These results suggest that connexin 43 expression is biphasic in lipopolysaccharide-induced neuroinflammation in C6 cells,which may be correlated with the connexin 43 compensatory mechanism.Ling Liu Zhenping Gao Linbo Zhang Lue Su Guojun Dong Haiyang Yu Jiayi Tian Hang Zhao Yanyan Xu Haiyan Liu 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,25:1

20Cenozoic plants from Tibet:An extraordinary decade of discovery,understanding and implications显示文摘Plant fossils play an important role in understanding landscape evolution across the Tibetan Region,as well as plant diversity across wider eastern Asia.Within the last decade or so,paleobotanical investigations within the Tibet Region have led to a paradigm shift in our understanding of how the present plateau formed and how this affected the regional climate and biota.This is because:(1)Numerous new taxa have been reported.Of all the Cenozoic records of new plant fossil species reported from the Tibet(Xizang)Autonomous Region 45 out of 63(70%)were documented after 2010.Among these,many represent the earliest records from Asia,or in some cases worldwide,at the genus or family level.(2)These fossils show that during the Paleogene,the region now occupied by the Tibetan Plateau was a globally significant floristic exchange hub.Based on paleobiogeographic studies,grounded by fossil evidence,there are four models of regional floristic migration and exchange,i.e.,into Tibet,out of Tibet,out of India and into/out of Africa.(3)Plant fossils evidence the asynchronous formation histories for different parts of the Tibetan Plateau.During most of the Paleogene,there was a wide east-west trending valley with a subtropical climate in central Tibet bounded by high(>4 km)mountain systems,but that by the early Oligocene the modern high plateau had begun to form by the rise of the valley floor.Paleoelevation reconstructions using radiometrically-dated plant fossil assemblages in southeastern Tibet show that by the earliest Oligocene southeastern Tibet(including the Hengduan Mountains)had reached its present elevation.(4)The coevolution between vegetation,landform and paleoenvironment is evidenced by fossil records from what is now the central Tibetan Plateau.From the Paleocene to Pliocene,plant diversity transformed from that of tropical,to subtropical forests,through warm to cool temperate woodland and eventually to deciduous shrubland in response to landscape evolution from a seasonally humid lowland valley,to a high and dry plateau.(5)Advanced multidisciplinary technologies and novel ideas applied to paleobotanical material and paleoenvironmental reconstructions,e.g.,fluorescence microscopy and paleoclimatic models,have been essential for interpreting Cenozoic floras on the Tibetan Region.However,despite significant progress investigating Cenozoic floras of the Tibetan Region,fossil records across this large region remain sparse,and for a better understanding of regional ecosystem dynamics and management more paleobotanical discoveries and multidisciplinary studies are required.Zhekun ZHOU Jia LIU Linlin CHEN Robert A.SPICER Shufeng LI Jian HUANG Shitao ZHANG Yongjiang HUANG Linbo JIA Jinjin HU Tao SU 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,2:0
