2Spatial patterns and effects of air pollution and meteorological factors on hospitalization for chronic lung diseases in Beijing, China显示文摘Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD), lung cancer(LC) and tuberculosis(TB) are common chronic lung diseases that generate a large disease burden and significant health care resource use in China. The aim of this study was to quantify spatial patterns and effects of air pollution and meteorological factors on hospitalization of COPD, LC and TB in Beijing. Daily counts of hospitalization for 2010 were obtained from the Beijing Urban Employees Basic Medical Insurance(UEBMI) system.Bayesian hierarchical Poisson regression models were applied to identify spatial patterns of hospitalization for COPD, LC and TB at the district level and explore associations with inhalable particulate matter(aerodynamic diameter <10 μm, PM10), sulfur dioxide(SO2), nitrogen dioxide(NO2), mean temperature and relative humidity. There were 18,882, 14,295 and 2,940 counts of hospitalizations for COPD, LC and TB respectively, in Beijing in 2010. Clusters of high relative risk were in different locations for the three diseases. The effect of relative humidity on COPD hospitalization was most significant with a relative risk(RR) of 1.070(95%CI: 1.054, 1.086) per one percent increase. For lung cancer hospitalization, exposure to ambient SO2 was associated with a RR of 1.034(95%CI: 1.011, 1.058) per μg m–3 increase. For tuberculosis, the effect of mean temperature was significant with a RR of 1.107(95%CI: 1.038, 1.180) per °C increase. Risk factors and spatial patterns were different for hospitalization of non-infectious and infectious chronic lung disease in Beijing. 3Salivary microbiota may predict the presence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘The aim is to explore the predictive value of salivary bacteria for the presence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Saliva samples were obtained from 178 patients with ESCC and 101 healthy controls, and allocated to screening and verification cohorts, respectively. In the screening phase, after saliva DNA was extracted, 16S rRNA V4 regions of salivary bacteria were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with high-throughput sequencing. Highly expressed target bacteria were screened by Operational Taxonomic Units clustering, species annotation and microbial diversity assessment. In the verification phase, the expression levels of target bacteria identified in the screening phase were verified by absolute quantitative PCR (Q-PCR). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted to investigate the predictive value of target salivary bacteria. LEfSe analysis revealed higher proportions of Fusobacterium, Streptococcus and Porphyromonas, and Q-PCR assay showed significantly higher numbers of Streptococcus salivarius, Fusobacterium nucleatum and Porphyromonas gingivalis in patients with ESCC, when compared with healthy controls (all P < 0.05). The areas under the ROC curves for Streptococcus salivarius, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Porphyromonas gingivalis and the combination of the three bacteria for predicting patients with ESCC were 69%, 56.5%, 61.8% and 76.4%, respectively. The sensitivities corresponding to cutoff value were 69.3%, 22.7%, 35.2% and 86.4%, respectively, and the matched specificity were 78.4%, 96.1%, 90.2% and 58.8%, respectively. 7A self-similar solution of a curved shock wave and its time-dependent force variation for a starting flat plate airfoil in supersonic flow显示文摘The problem of aeroelasticity and maneuvering of command surface and gust wing interaction involves a starting flow period which can be seen as the flow of an airfoil attaining suddenly an angle of attack. In the linear or nonlinear case, compressive Mach or shock waves are generated on the windward side and expansive Mach or rarefaction waves are generated on the leeward side.On each side, these waves are composed of an oblique steady state wave, a vertically-moving onedimensional unsteady wave, and a secondary wave resulting from the interaction between the steady and unsteady ones. An analytical solution in the secondary wave has been obtained by Heaslet and Lomax in the linear case, and this linear solution has been borrowed to give an approximate solution by Bai and Wu for the nonlinear case. The structure of the secondary shock wave and the appearance of various force stages are two issues not yet considered in previous studies and has been studied in the present paper. A self-similar solution is obtained for the secondary shock wave,and the reason to have an initial force plateau as observed numerically is identified. 9Occurrence Regularity and Life History of Cigarette Beetle Lasioderrma serricorne(Fabricius)in Tobacco Leaf Threshing and Redrying Workshop显示文摘[Objectives]The paper was to study the occurrence regularity and life history of cigarette beetle Lasioderrma serricorne(Fabricius)in tobacco leaf threshing and redrying workshop.[Methods]With the tobacco leaf threshing and redrying workshop as the survey site,the occurrence regularity of L.serricorne was investigated,and the life history table was inferred according to its biological characteristics.The temperature,humidity and duration of tobacco leaf threshing and redrying were simulated in the laboratory to study the survival rate of all states of L.serricorne in this environment.[Results]The lifecycle of L.serricorne in tobacco leaf threshing and redrying workshop was:the overwintering generation pupated in late February;the pupa began to emerge in early March,and reached its peak in late March.The first-generation eggs started hatching in late March,pupated in late May,emerged in early June,and reached the peak eclosion of the first-generation adults in mid-July.The second-generation eggs began to hatch in late July,pupated in mid-August,emerged in late August,and reached the peak eclosion of the second-generation adults in mid-September.The third-generation eggs began to hatch in mid-September;most of the larvae began to overwinter,some pupated in mid-November and survived the winter as pupae,and some pupae emerged to adults.The survival test results of different states of L.serricorne under simulated temperature,humidity and duration in the tobacco leaf threshing and redrying process showed that the mortality rates of eggs in simulated 1,2 and 3 conditions were about 51.22%,90.24% and 100%,and the mortalities of larvae in simulated 1,2 and 3 conditions were about 18.30%,81.25%and 100%,respectively.The mortalities of pupae in simulated 1,2 and 3 conditions were about 69.39%,100% and 100%,and the mortalities of adults in simulated 1,2 and 3 conditions were about 100%,100% and 100%,respectively.[Conclusions]L.serricorne of different states can be killed by appropriately raising the temperature during threshing and redrying.Ding CHEN Yingjie JIANG Zijun ZHAO Chaojun LUO Xingling WANG Jie XIE Pengchao CHEN Fei XU Yongan REN Lin LU Xueqin ZHANG Shunxian LIANG 2022Plant Diseases and Pests2022,13,3:0
10Effects of Sustained-Release Calcium Hydroxide and Sustained-Release Hydrochloric Acid on Nutrient Di-gestion and Absorption of Rabbits显示文摘Rabbits with the body weight of(2. 0 ± 0. 5) kg were chosen,to study the effects of sustained-release calcium hydroxide and sustained-release hydrochloric acid on nutrient digestion and absorption of rabbits. The results showed that sustained-release calcium hydroxide promoted digestion and absorption of nutrients,especially calcium and crude protein. The digestibility of calcium and crude protein was increased from 89. 8% and 93. 8% to 41. 0% and 65. 2%,respectively. Sustained-release hydrochloric acid was adverse to digestion and absorption of nutrients,especially calcium and crude protein. The digestibility of calcium and crude protein were decreased from 55. 5% and 84. 9% to 28. 4% and 68. 7%,respectively. The promotion effects of sustained-release hydrochloride on digestion lasted for 3-4 d. Therefore,sustained-release calcium hydroxide promoted digestion and absorption of calcium and protein,while digestion and absorption of fat remained at a high level no matter what the condition was. Consequently,increasing the intake of fat would cause over nutrition. 12Chiral effect on Aβ fibrillation from molecular-scale to nanoscale显示文摘β-Amyloid(Aβ)peptide fibrillation,one of the characteristic hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease,is determined by many interfacial physical-chemical factors,e.g.,charge,hydrophobicity,etc.Despite extensive research,chiral effect in different-scales on the fibrillation process of Aβremains unclear.Herein,molecular-scale,sub-nanoscale,and nanoscale chiral-structures were constructed to investigate their chiral effect on the fibrillation of Aβ_(40) peptides.Chiral structures from molecular-scale to nanoscale were obtained from the different periods of the chemosynthesis process of chiral ZnS quantum-dots(QDs),confirmed by real-time monitoring of circular dichroism spectra.For molecular-scale,both L-penicillamine(L-P)and D-P ligands accelerated the fibrillation of Aβ_(40),and the speed-up effect of D-P was slightly stronger than L-P.For sub-nanoscale,both two chiral Zncomplexes(L-Zn and D-Zn)induced the agglomeration of Aβ_(40) without chirality discrimination.For nanoscale,both L-ZnS and DZnS QDs inhibited the fibrillation of Aβ_(40),and the inhibition effect of L-ZnS was notably better than that of D-ZnS.In-situ kinetics experiments of Aβ_(40) co-incubated with two chiral QDs demonstrated that L-ZnS completely prevents the misfolding of Aβ_(40) from unfolded toβ-sheet,while D-ZnS cannot achieve this.Further site-replacement experiments and simulation results revealed the underlying molecular mechanisms of the different inhibition efficiency of chiral ZnS QDs on Aβ_(40) fibrillation,which mainly attribute to the stereoselectivity interaction between the chiral ligands of ZnS QDs and electro-positive amino acid residues(R5,K16,and K28)of Aβ_(40).This work offers a microscopic insight of chiral effect on Aβfibrillation exerted by structures in different-scales,and provides a guidance in precise regulation of protein fibrillation via manipulating chiral structures in different-scales.Guanbin Gao Guowei Zhu Liangchong Yu Zijun Zhang Ting Zhang Xinglin Liu Cheng Zhang Lin Zhou Taolei Sun 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:0
138-Oxoguanine DNA glycosylase protects cells from senescence via the p53-p21 pathway显示文摘Cellular senescence is an important factor leading to pulmonary fibrosis.Deficiency of 8-oxoguanine DNA glyco-sylase(OGG1)in mice leads to alleviation of bleomycin(BLM)-induced mouse pulmonary fibrosis,and inhibition of the OGG1 enzyme reduces the epithelial mesenchymal transition(EMT)in lung cells.In the present study,we find decreased expression of OGG1 in aged mice and BLM-induced cell senescence.In addition,a decrease in OGG1 expression results in cell senescence,such as increases in the percentage of SA-β-gal-positive cells,and in the p21 and p-H2AX protein levels in response to BLM in lung cells.Furthermore,OGG1 promotes cell transformation in A549 cells in the presence of BLM.We also find that OGG1 siRNA impedes cell cycle progression and inhibits the levels of telomerase reverse transcriptase(TERT)and LaminB1 in BLM-treated lung cells.The increase in OGG1 expression results in the opposite phenomenon.The mRNA levels of senescence-associated secretory phenotype(SASP)components,including IL-1α,IL-1β,IL-6,IL-8,CXCL1/CXCL2,and MMP-3,in the absence of OGG1 are obviously increased in A549 cells treated with BLM.Interestingly,we demonstrate that OGG1 binds to p53 to inhibit the activation of p53 and that silencing of p53 reverses the inhibition of OGG1 on senescence in lung cells.Ad-ditionally,the augmented cell senescence is shown in vivo in OGG1-deficient mice.Overall,we provide direct evidence in vivo and in vitro that OGG1 plays an important role in protecting tissue cells against aging associated withthep53pathway.Shenglan Gao Lujun Chen Ziying Lin Zhiliang Xu Yahong Wang Huayu Ling Zijun Wu Yu Yin Weimin Yao Keng Wu Gang Liu 2024Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2024,56,2:0

15Does More Trading Lead to Better Market Linkage?Evidence from the Commodity Futures Markets显示文摘In this study,we use eight pairs of commodity futures data to investigate the impact of the recently launched nighttime trading session by Chinese futures exchanges.We conduct a thorough empirical analysis on the cross-market information transmission mechanisms between China and the U.S.We apply various econometric analyses including the co-integration analysis,the forecast error variance decomposition analysis,and the volatility spillover analysis with a bivariate GARCH model.Findings in this study indicate that,after the launching of nighttime-trading hours in China,the price discovery function of the Chinese futures market is noticeably improved,and that the Chinese market began to dominate the U.S.market in the bidirectional volatility spillover process.Thus,the introduction of the nighttime-trading hours appears to be an effective step toward China’s long-term goal of establishing pricing power in key commodities on the global financial market.Hung-Gay Fung Zijun Wang Lin Zhao 2018China Finance and Economic Review2018,7,1:0

17A self-guidance biological hybrid drug delivery system driven by anaerobes to inhibit the proliferation and metastasis of colon cancer显示文摘Colorectal cancer is often accompanied by multiple organ metastasis.Anaerobic Bifidobacterium Infantis(BI)bacterial can selectively grow in hypoxic colorectal tumor microenvironment(TME),to own the natural advantage of preferentially colorectal tumor targeting.Herein,a self-guidance biological hybrid drug delivery system(BI-ES-Fe Alg/DOX)based on BI was constructed to inhibit the proliferation and metastasis of colon cancer.Results demonstrated that BI-ES-Fe Alg/DOX could overcome physical barriers to target and accumulate in colon tumor tissues.Then DOX was released to kill tumor cells along with the phase transition(solid to liquid)of Fe Alg hydrogel,due to Fe3+was reduced to Fe^(2+)by intracellular GSH.Meanwhile,BI-ES selectively colonized into tumors and expressed endostatin(ES)protein to down-regulate VEGF and b FGF expression,exerting anti-angiogenic effect.Moreover,Fe Alg catalyzed H_(2)O_(2)in the local tumor to generate cytotoxic·OH,further enhancing the antitumor effect.The pharmacodynamic result in AOM/DSS model proved that BI-ES-Fe Alg/DOX had the best therapeutic effect,with the final V/V0of 2.19±0.57,which was significantly lower than the other groups.Meanwhile,on CT-26tumor-bearing model,it also showed an outstanding anti-tumor effect with inhibition rate of 82.12%±3.08%.In addition,lung metastases decreased significantly in tumor metastasis model after BI-ES-Fe Alg/DOX treatment.Huijuan Zhang Yaping Wang Mengting Li Kexuan Cao Zijun Qi Ling Zhu Zhenzhong Zhang Lin Hou 2022Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2022,17,6:0

19Distribution and invasion of Spartina alterniflora within the Jiaozhou Bay monitored by remote sensing image显示文摘Spartina alterniflora as an alien invasive plant,poses a serious threat to the ecological functions of the coastal wetland of the Jiaozhou Bay.As of 2019,the distribution area of S.alterniflora in the Jiaozhou Bay has reached more than 500 hm^(2).For this reason,combined with field surveys,remote sensing monitoring of the invasion S.alterniflora in the Jiaozhou Bay has been carried out.To accurately identify S.alterniflora within the Jiaozhou Bay coastal wetland,we used a new method which is an implement of deep convolutional neural network,and by which we got a higher accuracy than the traditional method.Based on distribution of S.alterniflora extracted by the proposed method,the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of S.alterniflora were analyzed.And then combined with environmental factors,the invasion mechanism of S.alterniflora in the Jiaozhou Bay was analyzed in detail.From the monitoring results,it can be seen that S.alterniflora in Jiaozhou Bay is mainly distributed in the beaches near the Yanghe River Estuary and its southern side,the Dagu River Estuary and the Nügukou.Spartina alterniflora first broke out near the Yanghe River Estuary and gradually spread to the tidal flats near the Nügukou.The Dagu River Estuary is dominated by S.anglica,whose area has not changed much over the years,and a small amount of S.alterniflora has invaded later.Jianbu Wang Zhaoyang Lin Yuanqing Ma Guangbo Ren Zijun Xu Xiukai Song Yi Ma Andong Wang Yajie Zhao 2022Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,6:0
