1Anti-inflammatory and anti-thrombogenic effects of atorvastatin in acute ischemic stroke显示文摘Atorvastatin decreases inflammation and thrombogenesis in patients with carotid artery plaque. Atorvastatin is administered to lower lipid levels, but its anti-inflammatory and anti-thrombogenic effects remain unclear. Eighty-nine patients from northeastern China with acute ischemic stroke caused by large-artery atherosclerosis were randomly divided into the study and control groups. All patients received routine treatment, including antiplatelet therapy, circulatory support, and symp-tomatic treatment. The study group (n=43) also received daily atorvastatin 20 mg/d, and the control group (n=46) received daily placebo pills containing glucose. After 4 weeks, the levels of C-reactive protein, fibrinogen, and D-dimer were significantly lower in the study group than in the control group. Decreases in the levels of C-reactive protein, fibrinogen, and D-dimer were not associated with de-creases in the levels of triacylglycerol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. 2Depositional architecture of the late Ordovician drowned carbonate platform margin and its responses to sea-level fluctuation in the northern slope of the Tazhong region, Tarim Basin显示文摘The Tazhong Uplift of the late Ordovician is a drowned rimmed carbonate platform. The carbonate rock of the late Ordovician Lianglitage Formation in the northern slope of the Tazhong region is one of the significant petroliferous intervals. Based on petrofacies, depositional cycles, natural gammaray spectrometry and carbon/oxygen isotope data from the Lianglitage Formation, one 2nd-order, three 3rd-order and several 4th-order sequences have been recognized, and the late Ordovician relative sealevel fluctuation curve has been established. The sequences O 3 l-1 and O 3 l-2 on the platform are composed of highstand and transgressive systems tracts, but lack the lowstand systems tract. The sequence O 3 l-3 is a drowning sequence. The sequence O 3 l-1 overlapped the eroded slope and pinched out to the northwest and landward. The highstand systems tract in the sequence O 3 l-2 consists of low-angle sigmoid and high-angle shingled progradation configuration. Major sedimentary facies of the Lianglitage Formation include reef and shoal in the platform margin and lagoon, which can be subdivided into coral-sponge-stromatoporoid reef complex, sand shoal, lime mud mound, and intershoal sea. Reefs, sand shoals and their complex are potential reservoir facies. The reefs and sand shoals in the sequence O 3 l-1 developed in the upper of its highstand systems tract. In the sequence O 3 l-2, the highstand systems tract with an internal prograding configuration is a response to the lateral shifting of the complex of reef and sand shoal. The transgressive systems tract, in particular the sand shoals, developed widely on the slope of the platform margin and interior. The reefs in the sequence O 3 l-3 migrated towards high positions and formed retrograding reefs in the western platform and low relief in the platform interior. Basinward lateral migration of the reefs and pure carbonate rock both characterize highstand systems tract and show that the rise of the relative sea-level was very slow. Shingled prograding stacking pattern of the 4th-order sequences and reefs grow horizontally, which represents the late stage of highstand systems tract and implies relative sealevel stillstand. Reefs migrating towards high land and impure carbonate rock both indicate transgressive systems tract and suggest that the relative sea-level rose fast. Erosional truncation and epidiagenetic karstification represent a falling relative sea-level. The relative sea-level fluctuation and antecedent palaeotopography control the development and distribution of reef complexes and unconformity karst zones. 4In vivo degradation and endothelialization of an iron bioresorbable scaffold显示文摘Detection of in vivo biodegradation is critical for development of next-generation medical devices such as bioresorbable stents or scaffolds(BRSs).In particular,it is urgent to establish a nondestructive approach to examine in vivo degradation of a new-generation coronary stent for interventional treatment based on mammal experiments;otherwise it is not available to semi-quantitatively monitor biodegradation in any clinical trial.Herein,we put forward a semi-quantitative approach to measure degradation of a sirolimus-eluting iron bioresorbable scaffold(IBS)based on optical coherence tomography(OCT)images;this approach was confirmed to be consistent with the present weight-loss measurements,which is,however,a destructive approach.The IBS was fabricated by a metal-polymer composite technique with a polylactide coating on an iron stent.The efficacy as a coronary stent of this new bioresorbable scaffold was compared with that of a permanent metal stent with the name of trade mark Xience,which has been widely used in clinic.The endothelial coverage on IBS was found to be greater than on Xience after implantation in a rabbit model;and our well-designed ultrathin stent exhibited less individual variation.We further examined degradation of the IBSs in both minipig coronary artery and rabbit abdominal aorta models.The present result indicated much faster iron degradation of IBS in the rabbit model than in the porcine model.The semi-quantitative approach to detect biodegradation of IBS and the finding of the species difference might be stimulating for fundamental investigation of biodegradable implants and clinical translation of the next-generation coronary stents.Wenjiao Lin Hongjie Zhang Wanqian Zhang Haiping Qi Gui Zhang Jie Qian Xin Li Li Qin Haifeng Li Xiang Wang Hong Qiu Xiaoli Shi Wei Zheng Deyuan Zhang Runlin Gao Jiandong Ding 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,4:3

7Precise robust motion control of cell puncture mechanism driven by piezoelectric actuators with fractional-order nonsingular terminal slidingmode control显示文摘A novel robust controller is proposed in this study to realize the precise motion control of a cell puncture mechanism(CPM)driven by piezoelectric ceramics(PEAs).The entire dynamic model of CPM is constructed based on the Bouc–Wen model,and the nonlinear part of the dynamic model is optimized locally to facilitate the construction of a robust controller.A model-based,nonlinear robust controller is constructed using time-delay estimation(TDE)and fractional-order nonsingular terminal sliding mode(FONTSM).The proposed controller does not require prior knowledge of unknown disturbances due to its real-time online estimation and compensation of unknown terms by using the TDE technology.The controller also has finite-time convergence and high-precision trajectory tracking capabilities due to FONTSM manifold and fast terminal sliding mode-type reaching law.The stability of the closed-loop system is proved by Lyapunov stability theory.Computer simulation and hardware-in-loop simulation experiments of CPM verify that the proposed controller outperforms traditional terminal sliding mode controllers,such as the integer-order or model-free controller.The proposed controller can also continuously output without chattering and has high control accuracy.Zebrafish embryo is used as a verification target to complete the cell puncture experiment.From the engineering application perspective,the proposed control strategy can be effectively applied in a PEA-driven CPM.Shengdong Yu Hongtao Wu Mingyang Xie Haiping Lin Jinyu Ma 2020Bio-Design and Manufacturing2020,3,4:2
8Magnetic resonance (MR) safety and compatibility of a novel iron bioresorbable scaffold显示文摘Fully bioresorbable scaffolds have been designed to overcome the limitations of traditional drug-eluting stents(DESs),which permanently cage the native vessel wall and pose possible complications.The ultrathin-strut designed sirolimus-eluting iron bioresorbable coronary scaffold system(IBS)shows comparable mechanical properties to traditional DESs and exhibits an adaptive degradation profile during target vessel healing,which makes it a promising candidate in all-comers patient population.For implanted medical devices,magnetic resonance(MR)imaging properties,including MR safety and compatibility,should be evaluated before its clinical use,especially for devices with intrinsic ferromagnetism.In this study,MR safety and compatibility of the IBS scaffold were evaluated based on a series of well-designed in-vitro,ex-vivo and in-vivo experiments,considering possible risks,including scaffold movement,over-heating,image artifact,and possible vessel injury,under typical MR condition.Traditional ASTM standards for MR safety and compatibility evaluation of intravascular devices were referred,but not only limited to that.The unique time-relevant MR properties of bioresorbable scaffolds were also discussed.Possible forces imposed on the scaffold during MR scanning and MR image artifacts gradually decreased along with scaffold degradation/absorption.Rigorous experiments designed based on a scientifically based rationale revealed that the IBS scaffold is MR conditional,though not MR compatible before complete absorption.The methodology used in the present study can give insight into the MR evaluation of magnetic scaffolds(bioresorbable)or stents(permanent).Dong Bian Li Qin Wenjiao Lin Danni Shen Haiping Qi Xiaoli Shi Gui Zhang Hongwei Liu Han Yang Jin Wang Deyuan Zhang Yufeng Zheng 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,2:2

10Deactivation study of unsupported nano MoS_(2) catalyst显示文摘The stability of catalyst is of great importance for a long-term operation.In this paper,the hydrodesulfurization stability and deactivation mechanism of unsupported nano MoS_(2) catalyst was examined with light cycle oil as feedstock under an extreme hydrotreating condition for 160 h.A typical supported catalyst was also studied for comparison purpose.The results show that the activity of nano MoS_(2) can be well maintained after initial deactivation in the first 60 h time-on-stream.Less coke was found on spent nano MoS_(2) than on the spent supported catalyst,though coke deposition is identified as the main cause of deactivation for the nano catalyst.Without acidic supports,only soft coke is formed on the surface of catalyst.Unlike the supported catalyst,decomposition of active phase played a minor role in the deactivation of nano MoS_(2).Haiping Zhang Hongfei Lin Ying Zheng 2020Carbon Resources Conversion2020,3,1:2
11Melatonin antagonizes ovarian aging via YTHDF2-MAPK-NF-κB pathway显示文摘Cellular senescence is closely associated with age-related diseases.Ovarian aging,a special type of organ senescence,is the pathophysiological foundation of the diseases of the reproductive system.It is characterized by the loss of integrity of the surface epithelium and a gradual decrease in the number of human ovarian surface epithelial cells(HOSEpiCs).To contribute to the research on delaying ovarian aging,we aimed to investigate the novel epigenetic mechanism of melatonin in protecting HOSEpiCs.We discovered that melatonin has antagonistic effects against the oncogene-induced senescence(OIS)of HOSEpiCs.Mechanistically,the oncogene Ras decreased the expression of YTHDF2,which is the reader of RNA-m6A,by stimulating the generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS).Moreover,we found that the suppression of YTHDF2 increased the expression of MAP2K4 and MAP4K4 by enhancing the stability of the transcription of their mRNAs,thereby upregulating the expression of the senescence-associated secretory phenotype(SASP)through the activation of the MAP2K4 and MAP4K4-dependent nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)signaling pathways.We further determined that melatonin has antagonistic effects against the OIS of HOSEpiCs by inhibiting the ROS-YTHDF2-MAPK-NF-κB pathway.These findings provide key insights into the potential avenues for preventing and treating ovarian aging.Ruigong Zhu Xian Ji Xuan Wu Jiajing Chen Xuesong Li Hong Jiang Haiping Fu Hui Wang Zhe Lin Xin Tang Shixiu Sun Qingguo Li Bingjian Wang Hongshan Chen 2022Genes & Diseases2022,9,2:2
12An improved YOLOv3-tiny algorithm for vehicle detection in natural scenes显示文摘YOLO(You Only Look Once),as a target detection algorithm with good speed and precision,is widely used in the industry.In the process of driving,the vehicle image captured by the driving camera is detected and it extracts the license plate and the front part of the vehicle.Compared with the network structure of YOLOv3-tiny algorithm,the acquisition method of anchor box is improved by combining the Birch algorithm.In order to improve the real-time performance,the original two-scale detection is added to the multi-scale prediction of three-scale detection to ensure its accuracy.Finally,the experimental results show that the improved YOLOv3-tiny network structure proposed in this study can improve the performance of mean-average-precision,intersection over union and speed by 5.99%,17.52%and 48.4%,respectively,and the algorithm has certain robustness.Bingqiang Huang Haiping Lin Zejun Hu Xinjian Xiang Jiana Yao 2021IET Cyber-Systems and Robotics2021,3,3:2

17Synthetic poly-dioxolane as universal solid electrolyte interphase for stable lithium metal anodes显示文摘Lithium (Li) metal is a promising anode for the next generation high-energy–density batteries. However, the growth of Li dendrites, low coulombic efficiency and dramatic volume change limit its development. Here, we report a new synthetic poly-dioxolane (PDOL) approach to constructing an artificial 'elastic' SEI to stabilize the Li/electrolyte interface and the Li deposition/dissolution behavior in a variety of electrolytes. By coating PDOL with optimized molecular weights and synthetic routes on Li metal anode, the 'elastic' SEI layer could be maintained on top of the Li metal anode to accommodate the Li deposition/dissolution. No dendrite formation was observed during the cycling process, and the interfacial side reactions were reduced significantly. Consequently, we successfully achieved 330 cycles with a CE of 98.4% in ether electrolytes and 90 cycles with a CE of 94.3% in carbonate electrolytes. Simultaneously, the Li-metal batteries with LiFePO_(4) as cathodes also exhibited improved cycling performance.
