| 1 | Parameter studies and evaluation principles of delamination damage in laminated composites显示文摘Delamination represents one of the most severe failure modes in composite laminates,especially when they are subjected to uniaxial compression loads.The evaluation of the delamination damage has always been an essential issue of composite laminates for durability and damage tolerance in engineering practice.Focusing on the most typical and representative elliptical delamination issue,an analytical model simultaneously considering the conservative buckling process and non-conservative delamination propagation process is implemented.Various computational cases considering different delamination depths,directions,aspect ratios,and areas are established,and the predicted results based on the analytical model are carefully compared.Effects of these geometrical delamination parameters on the buckling,delamination propagation,and failure behaviors of composite laminates are thoroughly analyzed,and innovative evaluation principles of the delamination damage have been concluded.It is found that the delamination area is the key factor that truly affecting the failure behaviors of delaminated composites,and the local/global buckling and failure loads show clear linearity with the delamination area,whilst the delamination depth and direction only have slight effects. | Kangkang WANG Libin ZHAO Haiming HONG Jianyu ZHANG Yu GONG | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,7: | 3 |
| 2 | Effects of heat treatment on mechanical properties and microstructure of tungsten fiber reinforced grey cast iron matrix composites显示文摘In this study,grey cast iron matrix composites reinforced by different volume fractions of tungsten fibers(Vr=0.95%,1.90%,2.85%,3.80%)were investigated in as-cast and under the heat treatment temperatures of 1,000℃and 1,100℃.The microstructure and mechanical properties of the composites were analyzed and tested by means of SEM,micro-hardness tester and three-point bend testing.The results show that with increasing of the volume fraction of tungsten fibers,the composites reinforced by the tungsten fiber have higher flexural strength and modulus than that of cast iron without reinforcement,and the flexural strength increases with the increasing of heat treatment temperatures.Due to diffusion reaction between matrix and reinforcing phases,the process of heat treatment,the number of graphite flakes in the matrix seemingly becomes lower;and some hard carbide particles are formed around the residual tungsten fibers.Not only does the hardness of both matrix and reinforcement change tremendously,but also the region of reinforcement is also extended from the original 0.11 mm to 0.19 mm in radius. | Niu Libin Xu Yunhua Peng jianHong Wu Hong | 2009 | China Foundry2009,6,4: | 3 |
| 3 | Study on in-situ WC particles/tungsten wire reinforced iron matrix composites under electromagnetic field显示文摘By applying electromagnetic field to a system consisting of tungsten wires and grey cast iron melt,the grey cast iron matrix composite reinforced by either in-situ WC particles or the combination ofin-situ WC particles and the residual tungsten wire was obtained.By means of differential thermal analysis(DTA),the pouring temperature ofiron melt was determined at 1,573 K.The microstructures of the composites were analyzed by using of X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM) equipped with an energy dispersive spectrum(EDS) and pin-on-disc abrasive wear test.The obtained results indicated that,with the enhancing frequency of electromagnetic field,the amount ofin-situ WC particles gradually increases,leading to continuous decrease of the residual tungsten wires.When the electromagnetic field frequency was up to 4 kHz,tungsten wires reacted completely with carbon atoms in grey cast iron melt,forming WC particals.The electromagnetic field appeared to accelerate the elemental diffusion in the melt,to help relatively quick formation of a series of small FeW-C ternary zones and to improve the kinetic condition ofin-situ WC fabrication.As compared with the composite prepared without the electromagnetic field,the composite fabricated at 4 kHz presented good wear resistance. | Niu Libin Xu Yunhua Wu Hong | 2010 | China Foundry2010,7,2: | 2 |
| 4 | A joint call for actions to advance taxonomy in China显示文摘Taxonomy plays an important role in understanding the origin, evolution, and ecological functionality of biodiversity. There are large number of unknown species yet to be described by taxonomists, which together with their ecosystem services cannot be effectively protected prior to description. Despite this, taxonomy has been increasingly underrated insufficient funds and permanent positions to retain young talents. Further, the impact factordriven evaluation systems in China exacerbate this downward trend, so alternative evaluation metrics are urgently necessary. When the current generation of outstanding taxonomists retires,there will be too few remaining taxonomists left to train the next generation. | 7 | Thermodynamic assessment of the Al–Dy, Dy–Zr and Al–Dy–Zr systems显示文摘Like Al3Sc,the Al30Dy7Zr3compound has an L12structure,implying that it could probably be used to improve the strength of aluminum alloys at elevated temperatures.Thus,it is extremely important to understand the phase relations of the Al–Dy–Zr system in the Al-rich corner.Firstly,the phase diagram of the Al–Dy binary system was re-assessed with the C15_Laves phase treated as a stoichiometric compound.Then,using the special quasirandom structure containing 16 atoms(SQS_16)to simulate Dy1-xZrx(x=0.25,0.5,and 0.75)hcp_A3 solid solutions,their enthalpies of mixing at 0 K were calculated by the first-principles method.Based on these results and the evaluated phase diagram in literature,the Dy–Zr binary system was optimized thermodynamically.Integrating the thermodynamic descriptions of the three constituent binary systems,the phase diagram of the Al–Dy–Zr ternary system in the Al-rich corner was optimized finally by coupling the first-principles calculation with the CALculation of PHAse Diagram method.A good agreementhas been reached between the calculated phase relations and the experimental results,which indicates that the current thermodynamic description is reasonable. | Hong Bo Libin Liu Xiang Xiong Zhanpeng Jin | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,15: | 1 |

| 9 | UAV search-and-rescue planning using an adaptive memetic algorithm显示文摘The use of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) is becoming more commonplace in search-and-rescue tasks,but UAV search planning can be very complex due to limited response time, large search area, and multiple candidate search modes. In this paper, we present a UAV search planning problem where the search area is divided into a set of subareas and each subarea has a prior probability that the target is present in it. The problem aims to determine the search sequence of the subareas and the search mode for each subarea to maximize the probability of finding the target. We propose an adaptive memetic algorithm that combines a genetic algorithm with a set of local search procedures and dynamically determines which procedure to apply based on the past performance of the procedures measured in fitness improvement and diversity improvement during problem-solving. | 11 | Indocyanine Green Angiographic and Multifocal Electroretinographic Features in the Diffuse and Regional From of Bietti's Cystalline Retinopathy显示文摘Prpose: To observe different features of indocyanine green angiography(ICGA) andtifocal electroretinography (ERG) in the diffuse and regional type of Bieti′sc stalline retinopathy (BCR). Thods: ICGA and the multifocal ERG were performed in two cases of the diffuse andregional type of BCR respectively. These data were compared with fluoresceinangiography (FA), standard Ganzfeld ERG, and visual field testing. Results: In the regional case, ICGA revealed reduced perfusion of the choroidalcirculation in the early phase and multiple hypofluorescent spots in the posterior pole in the late phase, due to choriocapillaris filling defect; the extent of choroiocapillaris losswas shown in early phase of ICGA and there were multifocal hyperfluorescent dotssurrounding hypofluorescent spots in late phase in the diffuse case. The multifocal ERGshowed that the central responses were markedly depressed, corresponding to the visualfield defects, while the findings of Ganzfeld ERG were normal in the regional BCR;however, both the multifocal ERG and Ganzfeld ERG were severely subnormal in thediffuse case.Conclusions: The features of ICGA and multifocal ERG are different between the diffuseand regional BCR.
