1Chinese Stroke Center Alliance:a national effort to improve healthcare quality for acute stroke and transient ischaemic attack:rationale,design and preliminary findings显示文摘Background In June 2015,the Chinese Stroke Association(CSA)initiated the Chinese Stroke Center Alliance(CSCA)to establish the national hospital-based stroke care quality assessment and improvement platform.This article outlines its objectives,operational structure,patient population,quality improvement(QI)intervention tools,data elements,data collection methodology and current patient and hospital data.Methods The CSCA is a national,hospital-based,multicentre,voluntary,multifaceted intervention and continuous QI initiative.This multifaceted intervention includes stroke centre development,written care protocols,workshops and a monitoring/feedback system of evidencebased performance measures.The data coordinating centre of the CSCA resides at the China National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases,Beijing Tiantan Hospital.results As of July 2017,1576 hospitals in China have contributed detailed clinical information to serve as a benchmark for the stroke care quality of 433264 patients with acute stroke/transient ischaemic attacks(TIA),including 352572(81.38%)acute ischaemic stroke,30362(7.01%)TIA,42080(9.71%)spontaneous intracranial haemorrhage,5505(1.27%)subarachnoid haemorrhage and 2745(0.63%)not specified stroke.Conclusion The CSCA programme is designed to establish a continuous national stroke registry and help healthcare providers develop stroke centres and treat patients in a consistent manner in accordance with accepted national guidelines and,ultimately,improve patient outcomes.It supports the CSA mission to reduce stroke burden in China.Yongjun Wang Zixiao Li Yilong Wang Xingquan Zhao Liping Liu Xin Yang Caiyun Wang Hongqiu Gu Fuying Zhang Chunjuan Wang Ying Xian David Z Wang Qiang Dong Anding Xu Jizong Zhao Chinese Stroke Center Alliance investigators 2018Stroke & Vascular Neurology2018,3,4:38

3Preparation and characterization of sulfated TiO_2 with rhodium modification used in esterification reaction and decomposition of methyl orange显示文摘A unique Rh/TiO_2 solid acid catalyst modified with H_2SO_4 was synthesized and evaluated in the esterification reaction of propylene glycol methyl ether and decomposition of methyl orange(MO) in aqueous phase under halogen lamp irradiation. For this purpose, rhodium(Rh) nanoparticles were loaded on SO_4^(2-)/TiO_2 via the photo-deposition method. It was found that SO_4^(2-)/Rh–TiO_2 exhibited stronger catalytic activity than SO_4^(2-)/TiO_2. The new catalysts were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET), Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and high-resolution(HRTEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR). Results from XRD and BET show that SO_4^(2-)/Rh–TiO_2 has higher specific surface area and smaller pore size than SO42-/TiO_2. The distribution of loaded Rh was found to be uniform with a particle size of 2–4 nm. Data from XPS reveal that Rh primarily exists as Rh^0 and Rh^(3+)in Rh–TiO_2 and SO_4^(2)-/Rh–TiO_2. These valence forms of Rh likely contribute to the enhanced catalytic activity. Furthermore, FT-IR spectra of the catalysts show an abundance of surface hydroxyl groups, which help the formation of hydroxyl radicals and the enhancement of surface acid density. The results show that more acid sites are formed on the sulfated Rh–TiO_2, and these acidic sites are largely responsible for improving the catalytic performance. 5Auxin signaling module OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF regulates grain yield traits in rice显示文摘Auxin is an important phytohormone in plants, and auxin signaling pathways in rice play key roles in regulating its growth, development, and productivity. To investigate how rice grain yield traits are regulated by auxin signaling pathways and to facilitate their application in rice improvement, we validated the functional relationships among regulatory genes such as OsIAA10, OsSK41, and OsARF21 that are involved in one of the auxin(OsIAA10) signaling pathways. We assessed the phenotypic effects of these genes on several grain yield traits across two environments using knockout and/or overexpression transgenic lines.Based on the results, we constructed a model that showed how grain yield traits were regulated by OsIAA10 and OsTIR1, OsAFB2, and OsSK41 and OsmiR393 in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module and by OsARF21 in the transcriptional regulation of downstream auxin response genes in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module. The population genomic analyses revealed rich genetic diversity and the presence of major functional alleles at most of these loci in rice populations. The strong differentiation of many major alleles between Xian/indica and Geng/japonica subspecies and/or among modern varieties and landraces suggested that they contributed to improved productivity during evolution and breeding. 6Drag Characteristics Prediction for Wet Multi-Disk Brakes显示文摘To improve the characteristics of wet multi-disc brakes (WMDBs), the WMDBs of the drive axles of mining trucks were studied. A model was established to predict the phenomenon of drag characteristics during wet brake non-engagement by considering the combined effect of surface grooves, film shrinkage, and laminar Navier-Stokes (N-S) equations. The model was used to study drag torque and temperature variation of the wet brakes for different volume flows, dynamic viscosities, and friction pair clearances. The simulation results indicated that the peak torque decreased when the clearance of the friction pair increased. Additionally, the peak torque increased when the volume flow increased and when the cooling liquid dynamic viscosity increased. 8Common susceptibility variants of KDR and IGF-1R are associated with poststroke depression in the Chinese population显示文摘Background Depression,one of the most frequent complications after stroke,increases the disease’s burden and physical disability.Poststroke depression(PSD)is a multifactorial disease with genetic,environmental and biological factors involved in its occurrence.Genetic studies on PSD to date have mainly focused on the monoamine system and brain-derived neurotrophic factors.However,understanding is still limited about the influence of the single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)of other neurotrophic factors on PSD.Aims The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between seven vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)family gene variants that occur with PSD.Methods A multicentre candidate gene study from five hospitals in Jiangsu Province from June 2013 to December 2014 involved 121 patients with PSD and 131 patients with non-PSD.Demographic characteristics and neuropsychological assessments were collected.Theχ^(2)test was used to evaluate categorical variables,while the independent t-test was applied to continuous variables.SNPs in seven genes(VEGFA,VEGFB,KDR,FLT-1,IGF-1,IGF-1R and PlGF)were genotyped.Single-marker association for PSD was analysed byχ^(2)tests and logistic regression using SPSS and PLINK software.Results Patients with PSD included more women and those with lower education levels,lower body mass indexes,lower Mini-Mental State Examination scores,and higher scores on the 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale than non-PSD patients.Ninety-two SNPs with seven genes were genotyped and passed quality control.The rs7692791 CC genotypes,the C allele of KDR and the rs9282715 T allele of IGF-1R increased the risk for PSD(χ^(2)=7.881,p=0.019;χ^(2)=4.259,p=0.039;χ^(2)=4.222,p=0.040,respectively).In addition,the SNP rs7692791 of KDR was significantly associated with PSD by the logistic regression of an additive model(p=0.015,OR=9.584,95%CI:1.549 to 59.31).Conclusions Patients with rs7692791 C allele carriers or the CC genotype of KDR and the rs9282715 T allele of IGF-1R may have PSD susceptibility.Findings such as these may help clinicians to identify the high-risk population for PSD earlier and,thus,enable them to provide more timely interventions.Yingying Yue Linlin You Fuying Zhao Kezhong Zhang Yanyan Shi Hua Tang Jianxin Lu Shenghua Li Jinxia Cao Deqin Geng Aiqin Wu Yonggui Yuan 2023General Psychiatry2023,36,1:1

10Two birds with one stone:Amine-functionalized MSNs@Eu(OH)CO_(3) nanoprobe for efficient dissolution-enhanced afterglow bioassay显示文摘ABSTRACT The efficient detection of tumor markers is crucial to early cancer diagnosis and monitoring.Here,we propose a unique“two birds with one stone”dissolution-enhanced afterglow bioassay based on amino-functionalized mesoporous SiO2 nanoparticles(MSNs-NH2)encapsulated Eu(OH)CO_(3)nanoprobes.These nanoprobes(i)stably conjugate to the antibody and(ii)are highly soluble in the acidic enhancer solution,and provide a high Eu3+concentration.The released Eu3+ions further activate the photochemical afterglow system to determine the alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)levels in clinical serum samples.Without the use of a real-time excitation source,the interference of autofluorescence and scattering from blood can be avoided.The demonstrated limit of detection(LOD)for AFP was as low as 0.12 ng·mL^(−1).This covalently connected dissolution-enhanced luminescent bioassay(DELBA)and novel afterglow system shows tremendous potential for ultrasensitive and rapid clinical diagnosis.Fuying Zhang Donghao Hu Xianlong Su Zhengdao Hong Wei Feng Ming Xu Fuyou Li 2022Nano Research2022,15,9:1
11Recent advances of magnesium hydride as an energy storage material显示文摘Energy storage is the key for large-scale application of renewable energy,however,massive efficient en-ergy storage is very challenging.Magnesium hydride(MgH_(2))offers a wide range of potential applications as an energy carrier due to its advantages of low cost,abundant supplies,and high energy storage capac-ity.However,the practical application of MgH_(2) for energy storage is still impeded by its sluggish kinetics,poor cycling stability,etc.Herein,we provide an overview of recent advances of MgH_(2) for enhancing the hydrogen storage,lithium-ion storage,and heat storage performances.For hydrogen storage,a particular emphasis was put on altering the kinetics and thermodynamics of MgH_(2) via catalyzing,alloying,nano-sizing,and compositing.Modifications to MgH_(2) as a battery anode material mainly focus on the effect of additives,electrolytes,and structure configurations.Prototype heat storage apparatus was proposed based on MgH_(2) and coupled with other materials or systems to improve the heat storage and economic efficiency.Besides,prospects of MgH_(2) in these fields are discussed.This review would stimulate more insightful and pioneering research for the design and preparation of MgH_(2) with excellent energy storage performances.Mengchen Song Liuting Zhang Fuying Wu Haoyu Zhang Hu Zhao Lixin Chen Hong Li 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,18:0
12Significant expansion and red-shifting of fluorescent protein chromophore determined through computational design and genetic code expansion显示文摘Fluorescent proteins (FPs)with emission wavelengths in the far-red and infrared regions of the spectrum provide powerful tools for deep-tissue and super-resolution imaging.The development of red-shifted FPs has evoked widespread interest and continuous engineering efforts.In this article, based on a computational design and genetic code expansion,we report a rational approach to significantly expand and red-shift the chromophore of green fluorescent protein (GFP).We applied computational calculations to predict the excitation and emission wavelengths of a FP chromophore harboring unnatural amino acids (UAA)and identify in silico an appropriate UAA,2-amino-3-(6- hydroxynaphthalen-2-yl)propanoic acid (naphthol-Ala).Our methodology allowed us to formulate a GFP variant (cpsfGFP-66-Naphthol-Ala)with red-shifted absorbance and emission spectral maxima exceeding 60 and 130 nm,respectively,compared to those of GFP.The GFP chromophore is formed through autocatalytic post-translational modification to generate a planar 4-(p-hydroxybenzylidene)-5- imidazolinone chromophore.We solved the crystal structure of cpsfGFP-66-naphthol-Ala at 1.3 ■ resolution and demonstrated the formation of a much larger conjugated n-system when the phenol group is replaced by naphthol.These results explain the significant red-shifting of the excitation and emission spectra of cpsfGFP-66-naphthol-Ala.Li Wang Xian Chen Xuzhen GUO liasong Li Qi Liu Fuying Kang Xudong Wang Cheng HU Haiping Liu Weimin Gong Wei Zhuang Xiaohong Liu Jiangyun Wang 2018Biophysics Reports2018,4,5:0
13Bio-oil production from pyrolysis of oil palm biomass and the upgrading technologies:A review显示文摘Oil palm biomass(OPB)represents major portion of the lignocellulosic waste in Malaysia that can be converted into bio-oil.This review aims to provide important insights in OPB-derived bio-oil production by first discussing the chemical compositions of different OPB and their effects to the bio-oil yield and quality obtained from pyrolysis process,followed by discussing the addition of plastics and catalysts into the pyrolysis for bio-oil upgrading,and lastly summarizing the existing technoeconomic and environmental studies and the potential use of process integration and intensification in this topic.Polypropene(PP),low density polyethylene(LDPE),and high density polyethylene(HDPE)have been commonly used in co-pyrolysis of OPB,which can effectively increase the heating value of bio-oil up to 80%that of diesel.Likewise,acidic,basic,and neutral catalysts have been applied to increase the amount of hydrocarbon and phenol in the bio-oil,further improving the heating value to be comparable to diesel.The bio-oil production from OPB is currently still limited to demonstration scale despite the favorable environmental compatibility and technoeconomic feasibility shown by studies focused on empty fruit bunch(EFB).Several promising advanced pyrolysis processes that integrate other processes such as anaerobic digestion,hydrogen production process,and heat and power generation units as well as the advanced reactor designs are also overviewed here as future innovation of the bio-oil production from OPB,which may play more significant role as the technology matures.Liza Melia Terry Claudia Li Jiuan Jing Chew Aqsha Aqsha Bing Shen How Adrian Chun Minh Loy Bridgid Lai Fui Chin Deni Shidqi Khaerudini Nishar Hameed Guoqing Guan Jaka Sunarso 2021Carbon Resources Conversion2021,4,1:0
14Regional unconformities and their controls on hydrocarbon accumulation in Sichuan Basin, sW China显示文摘Based on outcrop,seismic and drilling data,the main regional unconformities in the Sichuan Basin and their controls on hydrocarbon accumulation were systematically studied.Three findings are obtained.First,six regional stratigraphic unconformities are mainly developed in the Sichuan Basin,from the bottom up which are between pre-Sinian and Sinian,between Sinian and Cambrian,between pre-Permian and Permian,between middle and upper Permian,between middle and upper Triassic,and between Triassic and Jurassic.Especially,16 of 21l conventional(and tight)gas fields discovered are believed to have formed in relation to regional unconformities.Second,regional unconformity mainly controls hydrocarbon accumulation from five aspects:(1)The porosity and permeability of reservoirs under the unconformity are improved through weathering crust karstification to form large-scale karst reservoirs;(2)Good source-reservoir-caprock assemblage can form near the unconformity,which provides a basis for forming large gas field;(3)Regional unconformity may lead to stratigraphic pinch-out and rugged ancient landform,giving rise to a large area of stratigraphic and lithologic trap groups;(4)Regional unconformity provides a dominant channel for lateral migration of oil and gas;and(5)Regional unconformity is conducive to large-scale accumulation of oil and gas.Third,the areas related to regional unconformities are the exploration focus of large gas fields in the Sichuan Basin.The pre-Sinian is found with source rocks,reservoir rocks and other favorable conditions for the formation of large gas fields,and presents a large exploration potential.Thus,it is expected to be an important strategic replacement.YANG Weij WEI Guoqi WU Saijun XIE Wuren JIN Hui ZENG Fuying HAO Cuiguo BAI Zhuangzhuang SU Yiqing LI Rong 2023Petroleum Exploration and Development2023,50,3:0
15Co-expression of Clostridium perfringens α and ε Toxins and Their Immunogenicity显示文摘The gene CPA and ETX encoding α and ε toxins were amplified from the standard strain C60-2 of type D Clostridium perfingens by PCR,and then they were inserted into pet-Duet-1 vecto,respectively for the construction of co-expression plasmid p ETDuet-1-CPA-ETX. The co-expression plasmid was transformed into BL21( DE3) competent cells. α and ε toxins proteins were induced by IPTG before analysis by SDS-PAGE. As a result,both of α and ε toxins were detected at 43 and 34 KU by western-blot. Mice immunized with the co-expressed α and ε toxins proteins produced high titers of neutralizing antibodies in the serum,which protected the mice against the attack of type D C. perfringens culture filtrate. In addition,mice immunized with the produced co-expressed α and ε toxins proteins showed significantly higher surviving rate than with ε toxins protein alone when infected with culture filtrate of type D C. perfringens.
