1The point mutation of p53 gene exon7 in hepatocellular carcinoma from Anhui Province,a non HCC prevalent area in China显示文摘AIM:In hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)prevalent areas of China,the point mutation of p53 exon7 is highly correlated with hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection and aflatoxin B intake While in non-HCC_prevalent areas of China,these factors are not so important in the etiology of HCC.Therefore,the point mutation of p53 exon7 may also be different than that in HCC-pervalent areas of China.The aim of this study is to investigate the status and carcinogenic role of the point mutation of p53 gene exon7 in hepatocellular carcinoma from Anhui Province,a non-HCC-prevalent area in China.METHODS:RCR,PCR-SSCP and PCR-RFLP were applied to analyze the homozygous deletion and point mutation of p53 exon7 in HCC samples from Anhui,which were confimed by DNA sequencing and Genbak comparison.RESULTS:In the 38 samples of hepatocellular carcinoma,no homozygous deletion of p53 exon7 was detected and point mutations of p53 exon7 were found in 4 cases,which were found to be heterozygous mutation of codon 249 with a mutation rate of 10.53%(4/38).The third base mutation(G→T)of p53 codon 249 was found by DNA sequencing and Genbank comparison.CONCLUSION:The incidence of point mutation of p53 codon 249 is lower in hepatocellular carcinoma and the heterozygous mutation of p53 exon7 found in these patients only indicate that they have genetic susceptibility to HCC p53 codon 249 is a hotspot of p53 exon7 point mutation suggesting that the point mutation of p53 exon 7 may not play a majuor role in the carcinogenesis of HCC in Anhui Province,a non-HCC-prevalent area in China.LiuH WangY2002World Journal of Gastroenterology2002,8,3:13
2Pollution characteristics of the recent sediments in the Hangzhou section of the Grand Canal,China显示文摘Spatial distribution of heavy metals, arsenic and organic matter in recent sediments in the Hangzhou section of the Grand Canal and their relationships were analyzed. The results showed that the concentrations of heavy metals and organic matters varied widely along the canal, and the average geological accumulation factors decreased in the following orders: organic carbon(2.6), zinc(2.1), cadmium(2.0), copper(1.5), lead(1.1), nitrogen(0.9), mercury (0.8), phosphorus(0.4), arsenic(0.2) and chromium(0). Content of heavy metals and organic carbon in the top 10 cm layer were lower than that of lower layers, except for mercury and organic carbon in the S9 section. Contents of organic carbon in the top 50 cm layer of the mud sediments are significantly higher than those underneath. In the bottom mud layer, there is a concentration peak of the pollutants. 15Ratiometric fluorescent detection of acidic pH in lysosome with carbon nanodots显示文摘It is significant for cell physiology to keep the homeostasis of p H, and it is highly demanded to develop ratiometric fluorescent sensors toward p H. In this work, under mild condition, through the electrostatic interaction between carbon nanodots(CDs) and organic molecules, two novel ratiometric fluorescence hybrid nanosensors were fabricated for sensing acidic p H. These nanohybrid systems possess dual emission peaks at 455 and 527 nm under a single excitation wavelength of 380 nm in acidic p H condition.With the increasing of p H, the fluorescence of the 1,8-naphthalimide derivative completely quenches,while the blue fluorescence of CDs keeps constant. Furthermore, the CDsàorganic molecular nanohybrids exhibit excellent anti-disturbance ability, reversible p H sensing ability, and a linear response range in wide p H range respectively.
