1Pollution characteristics and health risk assessment of benzene homologues in ambient air in the northeastern urban area of Beijing, China显示文摘Ambient benzene homologues were measured at a site in the northeastern urban area of Beijing, China, from August 24 to September 4, 2012 by SUMMA canister sampling followed by laboratory determination using cryogenic cold trap pre-concentration-GC-MS/FID, and their health risks were also assessed. Daily total benzene homologues ranged from 0.99 to 49.71 μg/m3with an average of 11.98 μg/m3. Benzene homologues showed higher concentrations in the morning and evening than that at noontime. Comparison with previous studies revealed a trend of decrease for ambient benzene homologues probably due to the efective emission control in Beijing in recent years. Vehicular exhaust was the main source while volatilization of paints and solvents also made substantial contributions. Health risk assessment showed that BTEX(benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, o-xylene, m-xylene and p-xylene) and styrene had no appreciable adverse non-cancer health risks for the exposed population, while benzene has potential cancer risk of 1.34E-05. 3Crystal structure determining of 7-ADCA based on X-ray powder diffraction显示文摘Optimum resolution data of X-ray pow- der diffraction for 7-amino desacetoxy cephalospo- ranic acid(7-ADCA) were collected from an X′ Pert Pro MPD diffractometer with the setup of 0.01°/s and 0.01° per step. Indexing to the crystal system and searching space group from the diffraction data were conducted by means of the computational crystal- lography method. The pilot crystal models of 7-ADCA were then refined by Rietveld method to obtain the exact three-dimensional structure. The results show that the crystal structure of 7-ADCA is monoclinic, space group P21 with unit cell dimensions a=13.50 ?, b=6.01 ?, c =5.91 ?, α= γ =90.00°, β =101.96°, Z=2 and V =469.10 ?3. 4Long-term surface water changes and driving cause in Xiong'an,China:from dense Landsat time series images and synthetic analysis显示文摘China's government statement recently reported the plan of constructing Xiong'an New Area, which aims to phase out some extra capital functions from Beijing and to explore an innovative urban development mode with the priority in eco-environmental protection. The New Area is located in the semi-arid North China Plain(NCP) and is home to NCP's largest natural freshwater wetland, Baiyangdian Lake. A comprehensive realization of surface water dynamics would be crucial for policy-makers to outline a sustainable environment development strategy for New Area. In this study, we used a total of 245 time slices of cloud-free Landsat images to document the continuous changes of water bodies within Xiong'an City during 1984-2016 and to provide detailed evidence of water presence and persistency states and changes under the influences of climate change and human actions. Our results reveal that the New Area water body areas varied dramatically during the past 33 years, ranging from 0.44 km^2 in April 1988 to317.85 km^2 in February 1989. The change of surface water area was not characterized by a monotonically decreasing tendency. The evolution processes can be divided into four sub-stages: the first extreme desiccation in mid-1980 s, the wet stage with the most extensive inundation areas and strong inter-annual fluctuations from late-1988 to late 1999, another desiccation stage in early 2000 s, and the overall recovering stage between 2007 and 2016. We also mapped the maximum water inundation extents and frequencies of all-season, pre-wet season(February-May) and post-wet season(September-December) for the 33 years and different sub-periods. Although there is good agreement between time series of surface water area evolution in the New Area and station-based precipitation and evaporation variations, multiple lines of evidences reviewed in previous research indicate that the degraded Baiyangdian Lake was also tightly associated with human activities from various aspects, including dam construction, groundwater extraction, agricultural irrigation, etc. We highlighted the current status of exploring the driving mechanism of surface water changes and existing problems, and then offer recommendations.Chunqiao Song Linghong Ke Hang Pan Shengan Zhan Kai Liu Ronghua Ma 2018Science Bulletin2018,63,11:6

6Monte Carlo simulation fused with target distribution modeling via deep reinforcement learning for automatic high-efficiency photon distribution estimation显示文摘Particle distribution estimation is an important issue in medical diagnosis. In particular, photon scattering in some medical devices extremely degrades image quality and causes measurement inaccuracy. The Monte Carlo(MC) algorithm is regarded as the most accurate particle estimation approach but is still time-consuming, even with graphic processing unit(GPU) acceleration. The goal of this work is to develop an automatic scatter estimation framework for high-efficiency photon distribution estimation. Specifically, a GPU-based MC simulation initially yields a raw scatter signal with a low photon number to hasten scatter generation. In the proposed method, assume that the scatter signal follows Poisson distribution, where an optimization objective function fused with sparse feature penalty is modeled. Then, an over-relaxation algorithm is deduced mathematically to solve this objective function. For optimizing the parameters in the over-relaxation algorithm, the deep Q-network in the deep reinforcement learning scheme is built to intelligently interact with the over-relaxation algorithm to accurately and rapidly estimate a scatter signal with the large range of photon numbers.Experimental results demonstrated that our proposed framework can achieve superior performance with structural similarity >0.94, peak signal-to-noise ratio >26.55 d B, and relative absolute error <5.62%, and the lowest computation time for one scatter image generation can be within 2 s.Jianhui Ma Zun Piao Shuang Huang Xiaoman Duan Genggeng Qin Linghong Zhou Yuan Xu 2021Photonics Research2021,9,3:5
7Effect of Al_2O_3 addition on the non-isothermal crystallization kinetics and long-term stability of BCABS sealing glass for IT-SOFCs显示文摘Owing to adjustable thermal expansion performance, BaO–CaO–Al_2O_3–B_2O_3–SiO_2(BCABS) glass has a promising commercialization prospect for intermediate temperature-solid oxide fuel cells(IT-SOFCs) sealing. Herein, Al_2O_3 with two different contents was added into the same glass formulation, referred to as A and B glass, respectively. In terms of the non-isothermal crystallization kinetic behavior, the effect of Al_2O_3 as the unique intermediate was innovatively studied on the long-term performance of BCABS sealing glass. After the heat treatment at 1023 K for 100 h, the change of the network structure and the expansion coefficient of the glass were characterized. The results showed that the addition of Al_2O_3 as a network forming body could enhance the structure of glass, and increase the activation energy for glass transition, which could effectively inhibit the crystallization ability of sealing glass. 8A new acyclic peroxide from Aspergillus nidulans SD-531,a fungus obtained from deep-sea sediment of cold spring in the South China Sea显示文摘A new acyclic peroxide derivative asperoxide A(1),along with 13 known compounds,namely,microperfuranone(2),9-hydroxymicroperfuranone(3),gibellulin A(4),lecanoric acid(5),terrequinone A(6),sterigmatocystin(7),isosecosterigmatocystin(8),arugosin C(9),curvularin(10),3,3'-diindolylmethane(11),austinol(12),austin(13),and dehydroaustin(14),were isolated and identified from the culture extract of Aspergillus nidulans SD-531,a fungus obtained from the deep-sea sediment of cold spring in the South China Sea.Their structures were determined based on detailed interpretation of nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)spectroscopic and mass spectrometry data analysis.All the isolated compounds were evaluated for antimicrobial activities against human and aquatic bacteria as well as plant pathogenic fungi.Compounds 1–8,10,and 11 exhibited antimicrobial activities against some of the tested strains with minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)values ranging from^2 to 64μg/mL.Compounds 4 and 6 displayed strongest activities among the tested samples and might be used as promising molecules for the development of natural antimicrobial agents.LÜFengyi LI Xiaoming CHI Luping MENG Linghong WANG Bingui 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,4:4
9Long noncoding RNA UC.98 stabilizes atherosclerotic plaques by promoting the proliferation and adhesive capacity in murine aortic endothelial cells显示文摘Pathological studies have shown that the vulnerability of plaques affects outcomes in patients with atherosclerosis(AS),a chronic inflammatory disease and common cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide.Although emerging technologies have enabled early diagnosis of AS with high-risk vulnerable plaques,more accurate and noninvasive diagnostic methods are urgently required.To this end,molecules involved in genetic or epigenetic regulation of the vulnerability of atherosclerotic plaques have been extensively studied.Here,we evaluated long noncoding RNA(IncRNA)variability by microarray assay in murine aortic endothelial cells(MAECs)bearing wulnerable plaques and identified the novel functional IncRNA UC.98,whose expression pattern was associated with the vulnerability of atherosclerotic plaques.Consisient with this,clinical statistics comparing the peripheral blood specimens from sets of patients with AS with or without vulnerable plaques confirmed the linear relationship between the expression pattern of UC.98 and plaque instabilty.Moreover,MTT assays and western blot analysis showed that silencing of intrinsic UC 98 in MAECs not only suppressed cell proliferation but also decreased the expressions of vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 and intercellular adhesion molecule-1,thereby inactivating the nuclear factorkB pathway.In conclusion,our results highlighted the pivotal role of UC.98 in regulating the vulnerability of plaques during AS progression and suggested that UC.98 may be a biomarker of the early diagnosis and prognosis of AS with vulnerable plaques and a potential therapeutic target for slowing AS progression.Zixu Fan Ying Zhang Danrui Xiao Jianwei Ma Hua Liu Linghong Shen Min Zhang Ben He 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,2:3

12An injectable conductive hydrogel restores electrical transmission at myocardial infarct site to preserve cardiac function and enhance repair显示文摘Myocardial infarction(MI)leads to massive cardiomyocyte death and deposition of collagen fibers.This fibrous tissue disrupts electrical signaling in the myocardium,leading to cardiac systolic and diastolic dysfunction,as well as arrhythmias.Conductive hydrogels are a promising therapeutic strategy for MI.Here,we prepared a highly water-soluble conductive material(GP)by grafting polypyrrole(PPy)onto non-conductive gelatin.This component was added to the gel system formed by the Schiff base reaction between oxidized xanthan gum(OXG)and gelatin to construct an injectable conductive hydrogel.The prepared self-healing OGGP3(3 wt%GP)hydrogel had good biocompatibility,elastic modulus,and electrical conductivity that matched the natural heart.The prepared biomaterials were injected into the rat myocardial scar tissue 2 days after MI.We found that the cardiac function of the rats treated with OGGP3 was improved,making it more difficult to induce arrhythmias.The electrical resistivity of myocardial fibrous tissue was reduced,and the conduction velocity of myocardial tissue was increased.Histological analysis showed reduced infarct size,increased left ventricular wall thickness,increased vessel density,and decreased inflammatory response in the infarcted area.Our findings clearly demonstrate that the OGGP3 hydrogel attenuates ventricular remodeling and inhibits infarct dilation,thus showing its potential for the treatment of MI.Linghong Zhang Tao Li Yan Yu Kun Shi Zhongwu Bei Yongjun Qian Zhiyong Qian 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,2:2
13Preparation of Ti-based Yb-doped SnO_(2)-RuO_(2) electrode and electrochemical oxidation treatment of coking wastewater显示文摘In this study,the Ti/SnO_(2)-RuO_(2) electrodes with different Yb contents were prepared by sol-gel method and thermal decomposition method,and the surface morphology and crystal structure of the electrodes were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),atomic force microscopy(AFM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD),the electrochemical properties of the electrodes were tested by linear sweep voltammetry(LSV) and cyclic voltammetry(CV).The electrochemical oxidation device was constructed with Yb-doped Ti/SnO_(2)-RuO_(2) electrode as the anode and titanium plate as the cathode,and the electrochemical oxidation effect and product changes of the anode on co king wastewater were investigated.The results show that the surface of the electrode is flat with high crystallinity of SnO_(2) and RuO_(2) crystals at1.5% Yb doping,and the LSV and CV curves indicate that the Yb doping of 1.5% increases the oxygen precipitation potential and electrocatalytic oxidation activity of the electrode.When the electrode with Yb doping of 1.5% is the anode with current density of 10 mA/cm^(2) electrochemical oxidation time of 30 min,the electrode can remove chemical oxygen demand(COD) up to 85.06%,total organic carbon(TOC) up to 60.59% and UV_(254) from 1.594 to 0.507 for coking wastewater.Gas chromatography(GC-MS),UV-vis and three-dimensional fluorescence results of coking wastewater before and after treatment show that large toxic substances in coking wastewater are degraded to low toxic organic substances,and most soluble organic substances are degraded and transformed.This study provides the possibility of basic research for the engineering practice of electrochemical oxidation for the treatment of coking wastewater.Weida Wang Ke Wang Wenting Hao Tingting Zhang Yijie Liu Linghong Yu Weiping Li 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,5:2

16Crystal structure determination of Jatrorrhizine chloride显示文摘Optimum resolution data of powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) for Jatrorrhizine (Jat) were collected by an X’ Pert Pro MPD diffractometer with an X’celerator detector under the stepwise scanning condition as 8.255 ms and 0.00836° per step, 2θ range of 5°―80° and total scanning period of 8―10 min. Indexing of the crystal system and a search of the space group from the powder X-ray diffraction data were conducted by the computational crystallography method. The pilot crystal models of Jat were globally optimized with Monte Carlo method and then refined with the Rietveld method. In parallel with PXRD test, single crystals of Jat were cultured in an aqueous solution by a slow-decreasing temperature method, then its crystal structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD). Both crystal structures from PXRD and SCXRD are identical. The results show that the crystal structure of Jat belongs to a monoclinic system and the space group P21/c.
