| 1 | Major advances in studies of the physical geography and living environment of China during the past 70 years and future prospects显示文摘The natural environment provides material essentials for human survival and development. The characteristics,processes, regional differentiation and forcing mechanisms of the elements of the natural environment(e.g. geomorphology,climate, hydrology, soil, etc.) are the main objects of research in physical geography. China has a complex natural environment and huge regional differentiation and therefore it provides outstanding reserach opportunities in physical geography. This review summarizes the most important developments and the main contributions of research in the physical geography and human living environment in China during the past 70 years. The major topics addressed are the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the evolution of its cryosphere, the development of fluvial systems, the acidification of the vast arid region of the Asian interior, variations in the monsoon and westerly climate systems on multiple timescales, the development of lakes and wetlands, the watershed system model, soil erosion, past human-environment interactions, biogeography, and physical geographic zonality. After briefly introducing international research developments, we review the history of research in physical geography in China, focusing on the major achievements and major academic debates, and finally we summarize the status of current research and the future prospects. | 2 | SHY2 as a node in the regulation of root meristem development by auxin, brassinosteroids, and cytokinin显示文摘In multicellular organisms,the balance be-tween cell division and differentiation determines organ size,and represents a central unknown in devel-opmental biology.In Arabidopsis roots,this balance is mediated between cytokinin and auxin through a reg-ulatory circuit converging on the IAA3/SHORT HYPO-COTYL 2(SHY2)gene.Here,we show that crosstalk between brassinosteroids(BRs)and auxin occurs in the vascular transition zone to promote root meristem de-velopment.We found that BR increases root meristem size by up-regulating expression of the PINFORMED 7(PIN7)gene and down-regulating expression of the SHY2 gene.In addition,BES1 could directly bind to the pro-moter regions of both PIN7 and SHY2,indicating that PIN7 and SHY2 mediate the BR-induced growth of the root meristem by serving as direct targets of BES1.Moreover,the PIN7 overexpression and loss-of-function SHY2 mutant were sensitive to the effects of BR and could partially suppress the short-root phenotypes associated with deficient BR signaling.Interestingly,BRs could inhibit the accumulation of SHY2 protein in response to cytokinin.Taken together,these findings suggest that a complex equilibrium model exists in which regulatory interactions among BRs,auxin,and cytokinin regulate optimal root growth. | Taotao Li Xinke Kang Wei Lei Xiuhong Yao Lijuan Zou Dawei Zhang Honghui Lin | 2020 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,10: | 5 |

| 5 | An improved Landsat Image Mosaic of Antarctica显示文摘A revised Landsat Image Mosaic of Antarctica (LIMA) is presented, using the 1073 multi-band scenes of the original Landsat-7 ETM+ LIMA image collection available at the United States Geological Survey (USGS: http://gffzza64998f73d704ee0hcuk596uk09uq69wo.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/). Three improvements have been applied during the data processing: (1) DN saturation is adjusted by adopting a linear regression, which has a lower root mean square error than the ratio regression used by LIMA; (2) solar elevation angle is calculated using pixel-level latitude/longitude and the acquisition time and date of the central pixel of the scene, improving slightly upon the bilinear interpolation of the solar elevation angles of scene corners applied in LIMA; and (3) two additional image bands, Band 5 and Band 7, are sharpened using the panchromatic band (Band 8) and a Gram-Schmidt Spectral Sharpening algorithm to more easily distinguish snow, cloud and exposed rocks. The final planetary reflectance product is stored in 16-bit bands to preserve the full radiometric content of the scenes. | 9 | Numerical Simulation of Solidification of Work Roll in Centrifugal Casting Process显示文摘A program on the solidification process of horizontal centrifugal casting coupled with eutectic carbides segregation has been developed in this paper.Due to the geometrical features of work roll,a cylindrical coordinate system was used.The temperature field of the outer layer at the end of filling process was imported as the initial temperature condition for the solidification process.The model of eutectic carbides segregation caused by different densities between eutectic MC and the molten steel was coupled in the program.The temperature field of the outer layer of work roll during horizontal centrifugal casting process was investigated.Results show that the outer layer has a 'sandwich shape' solid fraction manner.Results also indicate that the segregation of eutectic MC is quite severe during centrifugal casting process.It forms four zones of different content of carbides in radial direction.The simulated results of MC carbides segregation phenomenon agree with the experimental observations. | Nannan Song Yikun Luan Yunlong Bai Z.A.
