| 1 | Combined and interactive effects of interference fit and preloads on composite joints显示文摘The combined and interactive effects of the bolt-hole fit conditions and the preloads of the fasteners on the load carrying capacity of single-lap composite-to-titanium bolted joints have been investigated both experimentally and numerically. Quasi-static tests of the hybrid joints with different fit conditions are implemented, and a three dimensional finite element progressive failure analysis model is proposed to predict the influences of the bolt-hole fit conditions and fastener's preloads on the mechanical behaviors of the joints. Based on the experimental validated simulation method, a multi-factor, mixed levels orthogonal design table and the analysis of variance method are used to arrange the simulation conditions and to further study the interactive effects of preloads and fit conditions. Through the analysis of the results, for the researched double bolt, single-lap composite-titanium joints, it is found that: the effects of both the interference fit and the preloads change from positive into negative mode with the increase of the interference fit values or preload values; appropriate bolt-hole fit conditions and preloads can improve the bolt-hole contact conditions of the loaded joints, and then retard the fiber failures around the fastener holes, and increase the load carrying capacity of the joints eventually; the interactive effect of the bolt-hole interference fit conditions and preloads cannot be ignored and the parameters need to be considered together and synthetically as the joints are being optimized. | Liu Longquan Zhang Junqi Chen Kunkun Wang Hai | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2014,27,3: | 13 |
| 2 | An improved artificial bee colony algorithm for steelmaking–refining–continuous casting scheduling problem显示文摘Steelmaking–refining–Continuous Casting(SCC) scheduling is a worldwide problem, which is NP-hard. Effective SCC scheduling algorithms can help to enhance productivity, and thus make significant monetary savings. This paper develops an Improved Artificial Bee Colony(IABC) algorithm for the SCC scheduling. In the proposed IABC, charge permutation is employed to represent the solutions. In the population initialization, several solutions with certain quality are produced by a heuristic while others are generated randomly. Two variable neighborhood search neighborhood operators are devised to generate new high-quality solutions for the employed bee and onlooker bee phases, respectively. Meanwhile, in order to enhance the exploitation ability, a control parameter is introduced to conduct the search of onlooker bee phase. Moreover, to enhance the exploration ability,the new generated solutions are accepted with a control acceptance criterion. In the scout bee phase, the solution corresponding to a scout bee is updated by performing three swap operators and three insert operators with equal probability. | 3 | BMPR2 and HIF1-α overexpression in resected osteosarcoma correlates with distant metastasis and patient survival显示文摘Objective: Bone morphogenetic protein receptor 2(BMPR2) and hypoxia-inducible factor 1-α(HIF1-α) existed abnormal expression in several types of cancer. However, their expressions and related roles in osteosarcoma are largely unknown.Methods:To investigate the clinical significance of BMPR2 and HIF1-αin osteosarcoma,we analyzed their expression levels in 103 osteosarcoma specimens by immunochemistry.Meanwhile,we conducted a follow-up to examine the metastatic behavior and overall survival(OS)of osteosarcoma patients.Results:Among 103 tissues,61 cases had BMPR2-positive expression and 57 cases had HIF1-αpositive expression.A significant correlation was noticed between BMPR2 and HIF1-αexpression in osteosarcoma specimens(P=0.035).Receiver-operating characteristic(ROC)curves were calculated to investigate the predictive value of the two markers in tumor metastasis.By means of univariate and multivariate analysis,BMPR2 and HIF1-αexpression,as well as higher tumor grade,were identified as significant risk factors for OS in patients with osteosarcoma.Kaplan-Meier survival analysis revealed that the patients with BMPR2 and HIF1-αpositive expression had worse OS compared with patients with BMPR2-negative or HIF1-α-negative staining.Conclusions:It can be concluded that BMPR2 and HIF1-αexpression is highly correlated with metastatic behavior in patients with osteosarcoma and can serve as predictive markers for metastasis and OS of these patients. | Shidong Wang Tingting Ren Yi Huang Xing Bao Kunkun Sun Danhua Shen Wei Guo | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,5: | 7 |

| 5 | Overexpression of the CmJAZ1-like gene delays flowering in Chrysanthemum morifolium显示文摘Chrysanthemum(Chrysanthemum morifolium)is one of the four major cut-flower plants worldwide and possesses both high ornamental value and cultural connotation.As most chrysanthemum varieties flower in autumn,it is costly to achieve annual production.JAZ genes in the TIFY family are core components of the jasmonic acid(JA)signaling pathway;in addition to playing a pivotal role in plant responses to defense,they are also widely implicated in regulating plant development processes.Here,we characterized the TIFY family gene CmJAZ1-like from the chrysanthemum cultivar‘Jinba’.CmJAZ1-like localizes in the nucleus and has no transcriptional activity in yeast.Tissue expression pattern analysis indicated that CmJAZ1-like was most active in the root and shoot apex.Overexpressing CmJAZ1-like with Jas domain deletion in chrysanthemum resulted in late flowering.RNA-Seq analysis of the overexpression lines revealed some differentially expressed genes(DEGs)involved in flowering,such as the homologs of the flowering integrators FT and SOC1,an FUL homolog involved in flower meristem identity,AP2 domain-containing transcription factors,MADS box genes,and autonomous pathway-related genes.Based on KEGG pathway enrichment analysis,the differentially transcribed genes were enriched in carbohydrate metabolic and fatty acid-related pathways,which are notable for their role in flowering in plants.This study preliminarily verified the function of CmJAZ1-like in chrysanthemum flowering,and the results can be used in molecular breeding programs aimed at flowering time regulation of chrysanthemum. | Yunxiao Guan Lian Ding Jiafu Jiang Yuanyue Shentu Wenqian Zhao Kunkun Zhao Xue Zhang Aiping Song Sumei Chen Fadi Chen | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 3 |
| 6 | Experimental realization of a quantum image classifier via tensor-network-based machine learning显示文摘Quantum machine learning aspires to overcome intractability that currently limits its applicability to practical applications.However,quantum machine learning itself is limited by low effective dimensions achievable in stateof-the-art experiments.Here,we demonstrate highly successful classifications of real-life images using photonic qubits,combining a quantum tensor-network representation of hand-written digits and entanglement-based optimization.Specifically,we focus on binary classification for hand-written zeroes and ones,whose features are cast into the tensor-network representation,further reduced by optimization based on entanglement entropy and encoded into two-qubit photonic states.We then demonstrate image classification with a high success rate exceeding 98%,through successive gate operations and projective measurements.Although we work with photons,our approach is amenable to other physical realizations such as nitrogen-vacancy centers,nuclear spins,and trapped ions,and our scheme can be scaled to efficient multi-qubit encodings of features in the tensor-product representation,thereby setting the stage for quantum-enhanced multi-class classification. | KUNKUN WANG LEI XIAO WEI YI SHI-JU RAN PENG XUE | 2021 | Photonics Research2021,9,12: | 2 |

| 11 | Effect of extrusion on the microstructure and mechanical properties of a low-alloyed Mg-2Zn-0.8Sr-0.2Ca matrix composite reinforced by TiC nano-particles显示文摘A low-alloyed Mg-2Zn-0.8Sr-0.2Ca matrix composite reinforced by TiC nano-particles was successfully prepared by semi-solid stirring under the assistance of ultrasonic,and then the as-cast composite was hot extruded.The results indicated that the volume fraction of dynamical recrystallization and the recrystallized grain size have a certain decline at lower extrusion temperature or rate.The finest grain size of~0.30μm is obtained in the sample extruded at 200℃ and 0.1 mm/s.The as-extruded sample displays a strong basal texture intensity,and the basal texture intensity increases to 5.937 mud while the extrusion temperature increases from 200 to 240℃.The ultra-high mechanical properties(ultimate tensile strength of 480.2 MPa,yield strength of 462 MPa)are obtained after extrusion at 200℃ with a rate of 0.1 mm/s.Among all strengthening mechanisms for the present composite,the grain refinement contributes the most to the increase in strength.A mixture of cleavage facets and dimples were observed in the fracture surfaces of three as-extruded nanocomposites,which explain a mix of brittle-ductile fracture way of the samples. | Zedong Wang Kaibo Nie Kunkun Deng Jungang Han | 2022 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,11: | 1 |

| 17 | Radial Permeability Measurements for Shale Using Variable Pressure Gradients显示文摘Shale gas is becoming an important component of the global energy supply, with permeability a critical controlling factor for long-term gas production. Obvious deviation may exist between helium permeability determined using small pressure gradient(SPG) methods and methane permeability obtained under actual field production with variable pressure gradients(VPG). In order to more accurately evaluate the matrix permeability of shale, a VPG method using real gas(rather than He) is established to render permeability measurements that are more representative of reservoir conditions and hence response. Dynamic methane production experiments were performed to measure permeability using the annular space in the shale cores. For each production stage, boundary pressure is maintained at a constant and the gas production with time is measured on the basis of volume change history in the measuring pump. A mathematical model explicitly accommodating gas desorption uses pseudo-pressure and pseudo-time to accommodate the effects of variations in pressuredependent PVT parameters. Analytical and semi-analytical solutions to the model are obtained and discussed. These provide a convenient approach to estimate radial permeability in the core by nonlinear fitting to match the semi-analytical solution with the recorded gas production data. Results indicate that the radial permeability of the shale determined using methane is in the range of 1×10-6– 1×10-5 mD and decreases with a decrease in average pore pressure. This is contrary to the observed change in permeability estimated using helium. Bedding geometry has a significant influence on shale permeability with permeability in parallel bedding orientation larger than that in perpendicular bedding orientation. The superiority of the VPG method is confirmed by comparing permeability test results obtained from both VPG and SPG methods.
