| 1 | Generative Adversarial Networks:Introduction and Outlook显示文摘Recently, generative adversarial networks(GANs)have become a research focus of artificial intelligence. Inspired by two-player zero-sum game, GANs comprise a generator and a discriminator, both trained under the adversarial learning idea.The goal of GANs is to estimate the potential distribution of real data samples and generate new samples from that distribution.Since their initiation, GANs have been widely studied due to their enormous prospect for applications, including image and vision computing, speech and language processing, etc. In this review paper, we summarize the state of the art of GANs and look into the future. Firstly, we survey GANs' proposal background,theoretic and implementation models, and application fields.Then, we discuss GANs' advantages and disadvantages, and their development trends. In particular, we investigate the relation between GANs and parallel intelligence,with the conclusion that GANs have a great potential in parallel systems research in terms of virtual-real interaction and integration. | 2 | Rare earth and transitional metal colloidal supercapacitors显示文摘The search of electrode materials with high electrochemical activity is one of key solutions to actualize both high energy density and high power density in a supercapacitor. Recently, we have developed one novel kind of rare earth and transitional metal colloidal supercapacitors, which can deliver higher specific capacitance than electrical double-layer capacitors(EDLC) and traditional pseudocapacitors. The electrode materials in colloidal supercapacitors are in-situ formed electroactive colloids, which were transformed from commercial rare earth and transitional metal salts in alkaline electrolyte by chemical and electrochemical assisted coprecipitation. In these colloidal supercapacitors, multiple-electron Faradaic redox reactions can be utilized, which can deliver ultrahigh specific capacitance often larger than one-electron capacitance. Multiple-valence metal cations used in our designed colloidal supercapacitors mainly include Ce3+, Yb3+, Er3+, Fe3+, Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Sn2+ and Sn4+. | 4 | Training and Testing Object Detectors With Virtual Images显示文摘In the area of computer vision, deep learning has produced a variety of state-of-the-art models that rely on massive labeled data. However, collecting and annotating images from the real world is too demanding in terms of labor and money investments, and is usually inflexible to build datasets with specific characteristics, such as small area of objects and high occlusion level. Under the framework of Parallel Vision, this paper presents a purposeful way to design artificial scenes and automatically generate virtual images with precise annotations.A virtual dataset named Parallel Eye is built, which can be used for several computer vision tasks. Then, by training the DPM(Deformable parts model) and Faster R-CNN detectors, we prove that the performance of models can be significantly improved by combining Parallel Eye with publicly available real-world datasets during the training phase. In addition, we investigate the potential of testing the trained models from a specific aspect using intentionally designed virtual datasets, in order to discover the flaws of trained models. | 5 | The Formation of the Jiaodong Gold Province显示文摘Gold deposits in Jiaodong,termed Jiaodong-type,are tectonically located in the southeastern margin of the North China Craton.Their major features are reviewed in this paper to highlight the differences between Jiaodong deposits and other genetic types of gold deposits.The mineralization was synchronized with asthenosphere upwelling indicated by synore OIB-like mafic dike and large-scale crustal thinning suggested by decrease of Sr/Y from pre-ore to syn-ore granites.Asthenosphere upwelling induced by the roll-back of Paleo-Pacific Plate drove partial melting of lithospheric mantle and devolatilization,which induced the release of the ore-forming fluids.In concomitant with magmatic records,mineralization migrated from the western Jiaobei terrane(133–127 Ma)to the eastern Sulu orogenic belt(114–108 Ma),corresponding to the eastward roll-back of Paleo-Pacific Plate.Gold mineralization in Jiaodong formed in the transitions of ductile to brittle deformation,rapid to slow crustal uplift,and regional compression to extension.In the regional-scale,the gold deposits in the Jiaobei terrane are mostly situated at intersections between NE-trending faults and EW-trending basement faults,and gold orebodies dominantly controlled by the lithologic contacts between Precambrian metamorphic rocks and Mesozoic granites.The mineralization was dominated by the disseminated-veinlet ores related to quartz–sericite alteration in strong cataclasite-breccia zone,with subsidiary thick quartz-sulfide veins developed in secondary fault zones.The ore-forming fluids belong to a H_(2)O–CO_(2)–NaCl±CH_(4)system and show minor variations in salinity among different types of ore.Structure-fluid feedback involving fluid-rock reaction and hydrofracturing triggered the fluid phase separation and resultant gold deposition.The Jiaodong gold deposits are distinct from orogenic and intrusion-related gold deposits in terms of tectonic setting,origin of ore-forming fluids,and mechanism of gold deposition. | DENG Jun WANG Qingfei LIU Xuefei ZHANG Liang YANG Liqiang YANG Lin QIU Kunfeng GUO Linnan LIANG Yayun MA Yao | 2022 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,6: | 7 |
| 6 | Non-deterministic fatigue life analysis using convex set models显示文摘The non-probabilistic approach to fatigue life analysis was studied using the convex models-interval, ellipsoidal and multiconvex models. The lower and upper bounds of the fatigue life were obtained by using the second-order Taylor series and Lagrange multiplier method. The solving process for derivatives of the implicit life function was presented. Moreover, a median ellipsoidal model was proposed which can take into account the sample blind zone and almost impossibility of concurrence of some small probability events. The Monte Carlo method for multi-convex model was presented, an important alternative when the analytical method does not work. A project example was given. The feasibility and rationality of the presented approach were verified. | 8 | Preparation of Palladium Supported on Ferric Oxide Nano-catalysts for Carbon Monoxide Oxidation in Low Temperature显示文摘Catalytic property of Pd/Fe2O3 catalysts on carbon monoxide(CO) oxidation at low temperature were investigated in this paper. Both the as-prepared and H2-pretreated Pd/Fe2O3 catalysts show catalytic performances on CO oxidation. The CO was completely converted at 333 K for the as-prepared sample,whereas at 313 K for H2-pretreated Pd/Fe2O3-573 catalyst. The catalytic performance of the Pd/Fe2O3 catalyst decreases with increased calcination temperature. This may be due to the increased crystallinity of the support and decreased metal-support interaction. | 9 | Attitude Control of Multiple Rigid Bodies with Uncertainties and Disturbances显示文摘Decentralized attitude synchronization and tracking control for multiple rigid bodies are investigated in this paper. In the presence of inertia uncertainties and environmental disturbances, we propose a class of decentralized adaptive sliding mode control laws. An adaptive control strategy is adopted to reject the uncertainties and disturbances. Using the Lyapunov approach and graph theory, it is shown that the control laws can guarantee a group of rigid bodies to track the desired time-varying attitude and angular velocity while maintaining attitude synchronization with other rigid bodies in the formation. | 10 | Active La-Nb-O compounds for fast lithium-ion energy storage显示文摘Searching for novel complex materials with enhanced lithium-ion battery performances is one of the most challenging efforts.Many kinds of transition metal oxides and polyanionic frameworks were developed with various structures,which can improve the energy density of lithium-ion batteries.In this work,we explored 4d and 4f transition metal La-Nb-O compounds as cathode materials for lithium-ion energy storage.Orthorhombic pyrochlore LaNb_(5)O_(14),orthorhombic perovskite LaNb_(3)O_(9),and monoclinic LaNbO_(4) compounds with different metal cation coordination polyhedra were synthesized using solid-state reaction.The orthorhombic pyrochlore LaNb_(5)O_(14) compound showed the highest capacity among these La-Nb-O compounds owing to its quasi‐2D network for Li‐ion incorporation.According to the electronegativity theory and ionic size,La^(3+)cations can form LaO12 polyhedra and hexahedral LaO_(8) units in different La-Nb-O compounds,which can stabilize octahedral NbO_(6) and/or pentahedral NbO_(7) and their assembled structures,resulting in easy lithium-ion diffusion.This work may provide some structure clues for the design of electrode materials for fast lithium storage. | Kunfeng Chen Shu Yin Dongfeng Xue | 2019 | Tungsten2019,1,4: | 3 |
| 11 | Au-Pd/mesoporous Fe_2O_3:Highly active photocatalysts for the visible-light-driven degradation of acetone显示文摘Three-dimensionally ordered mesoporous Fe_2O_3(meso-Fe_2O_3) and its supported Au, Pd,and Au-Pd alloy(xA uP dy/meso-Fe_2O_3; x = 0.08–0.72 wt.%; Pd/Au molar ratio(y) = 1.48–1.85)photocatalysts have been prepared via the KIT-6-templating and polyvinyl alcohol-protected reduction routes, respectively. Physical properties of the samples were characterized, and their photocatalytic activities were evaluated for the photocatalytic oxidation of acetone in the presence of a small amount of H_2O_2 under visible-light illumination. It was found that the meso-Fe_2O_3 was rhombohedral in crystal structure. The as-obtained samples displayed a high surface area of 111.0–140.8 m^2/g and a bandgap energy of 1.98–2.12 eV. The Au, Pd and/or Au–Pd alloy nanoparticles(NPs) with a size of 3–4 nm were uniformly dispersed on the surface of the meso-Fe_2O_3 support. The 0.72 wt.% AuP d1.48/meso-Fe_2O_3 sample performed the best in the presence of 0.06 mol/L H_2O_2 aqueous solution, showing a 100% acetone conversion within4 hr of visible-light illumination. It was concluded that the good performance of 0.72 wt.%AuPd_(1.48)/meso-Fe_2O_3 for photocatalytic acetone oxidation was associated with its ordered mesoporous structure, high adsorbed oxygen species concentration, plasmonic resonance effect between AuPd_(1.48) NPs and meso-Fe_2O_3, and effective separation of the photogenerated charge carriers. | 13 | Metallogenetic model of Jiaodong-type gold deposits,eastern China显示文摘The genesis of giant gold provinces is an international scientific frontier,in which the source of a huge amount of gold and the drive for mineralization are key challenges.The mineralization intensity of the Jiaodong gold province in eastern China is a rare occasion in the world,because it owns gold reserves of~5500 tons within an area of less than 10,000 km^(2).The Jiaodong gold province formed in the superimposed domain of diverse tectonic regimes in an intracontinental setting.Paleoproterozoic regional peak metamorphism and Triassic continental collision are followed by the tectonic transition and gold mineralization at ca.120 Ma with time intervals of 1.9 billion years and about 100 million years,respectively.The Jiaodong gold deposits are different from orogenic and intrusion-related gold deposits in terms of the tectonic background,types of host rocks,and oreforming mechanism.These gold deposits show close spatial-temporal and genetic relationships to mafic igneous rocks,implying the derivation of ore-forming fluids from the metasomatic mantle domains.Mafic dykes in Jiaodong have negativeε_(Hf)(t)values of-29.9 to-9.1,Os content of 0.002-0.16 ppb,heavyδ^(18)O up to 8.23‰,and high initial^(187)Os/^(188)Os ratios of 0.1352-0.8858.These indicate that the lithospheric mantle was metasomatized by ancient crust-derived components.The lithospheric mantle in the western Jiaodong shows generally more enriched isotope features than that in the eastern part,which is explained to be an important reason for its huge gold resources.The mafic dykes show lighter Mg isotope characteristics(averageδ^(26)Mg of-0.33‰,n=50)and high Ca O content(overall greater than 6.5 wt%),indicating that the lithospheric mantle would also record the metasomatism by the carbonate rocks from the subducting oceanic slab.Under the background of the rollback of the subducting paleo-Pacific slab and the destruction of the North China Craton,partial melting of the lower crust would produce granitic magmas that led to the enrichment of gold in the residual crust.The syn-mineralization asthenosphere upwelling would promote the recycling of the lower crust and the partial melting of the metasomatic mantle domains.Basic magmas,produced by the partial melting,and the mantle itself would degas to form ore fluids.The ore fluids would further leach gold in the lower crust to increase its fertility.The auriferous fluids were transported to the middle to upper crust along the detachment and strike-slip faults.Water-rock interaction and fluid immiscibility,which occurred in and above the ductile-brittle transition zone to induce gold precipitation,formed the Jiaodong gold deposits.Given the unique geological features and genetic model of the Jiaodong gold deposits,they can be defined as“Jiaodong-type”gold deposits. | Jun DENG Qingfei WANG Liang ZHANG Shengchao XUE Xuefei LIU Lin YANG Liqiang YANG Kunfeng QIU Yayun LIANG | 2023 | Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,10: | 2 |
| 14 | A Recurrent Attention and Interaction Model for Pedestrian Trajectory Prediction显示文摘The movement of pedestrians involves temporal continuity,spatial interactivity,and random diversity.As a result,pedestrian trajectory prediction is rather challenging.Most existing trajectory prediction methods tend to focus on just one aspect of these challenges,ignoring the temporal information of the trajectory and making too many assumptions.In this paper,we propose a recurrent attention and interaction(RAI)model to predict pedestrian trajectories.The RAI model consists of a temporal attention module,spatial pooling module,and randomness modeling module.The temporal attention module is proposed to assign different weights to the input sequence of a target,and reduce the speed deviation of different pedestrians.The spatial pooling module is proposed to model not only the social information of neighbors in historical frames,but also the intention of neighbors in the current time.The randomness modeling module is proposed to model the uncertainty and diversity of trajectories by introducing random noise.We conduct extensive experiments on several public datasets.The results demonstrate that our method outperforms many that are state-ofthe-art. | Xuesong Li Yating Liu Kunfeng Wang Fei-Yue Wang | 2020 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2020,7,5: | 2 |
