| 1 | Prediction of rockhead using a hybrid N-XGBoost machine learning framework显示文摘The spatial information of rockhead is crucial for the design and construction of tunneling or underground excavation.Although the conventional site investigation methods(i.e.borehole drilling) could provide local engineering geological information,the accurate prediction of the rockhead position with limited borehole data is still challenging due to its spatial variation and great uncertainties involved.With the development of computer science,machine learning(ML) has been proved to be a promising way to avoid subjective judgments by human beings and to establish complex relationships with mega data automatically.However,few studies have been reported on the adoption of ML models for the prediction of the rockhead position.In this paper,we proposed a robust probabilistic ML model for predicting the rockhead distribution using the spatial geographic information.The framework of the natural gradient boosting(NGBoost) algorithm combined with the extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)is used as the basic learner.The XGBoost model was also compared with some other ML models such as the gradient boosting regression tree(GBRT),the light gradient boosting machine(LightGBM),the multivariate linear regression(MLR),the artificial neural network(ANN),and the support vector machine(SVM).The results demonstrate that the XGBoost algorithm,the core algorithm of the probabilistic NXGBoost model,outperformed the other conventional ML models with a coefficient of determination(R2)of 0.89 and a root mean squared error(RMSE) of 5.8 m for the prediction of rockhead position based on limited borehole data.The probabilistic N-XGBoost model not only achieved a higher prediction accuracy,but also provided a predictive estimation of the uncertainty.Thus,the proposed N-XGBoost probabilistic model has the potential to be used as a reliable and effective ML algorithm for the prediction of rockhead position in rock and geotechnical engineering. | Xing Zhu Jian Chu Kangda Wang Shifan Wu Wei Yan Kiefer Chiam | 2021 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,6: | 3 |

| 7 | Geochronology and Petrogenesis of Granitoid Intrusions in the Feidong District, Southern Tan-Lu Fault Zone, China显示文摘The Feidong district is located in the southern segment of the Tan-Lu fault zone that separates the South China Block(NCB)from the North China Craton(NCC).We report zircon U-Pb geochronology and Hf isotope data,as well as whole-rock geochemistry for Xishanyi granodiorite and Jianshan granite in the Feidong district.Zircon U-Pb dating results show that the emplacement ages of the Xishanyi and Jianshan intrusions are 124±3 Ma and 130±1 Ma respectively,coeval with magmatic events linked to large-scale lithospheric thinning in eastern China.The whole-rock geochemistry of the Xishanyi and Jianshan intrusions demonstrate that they are peraluminous,high potassium calc-alkaline I-type granites with adakitic characteristics.Both intrusions underwent weak crustal assimilation during emplacement.The in situ zirconε(Hf)(t)values of the Xishanyi granodiorites range from-26.4 to-21.8,with T(DM2)model ages of 2552 to 2841 Ma.The in situ zirconε(Hf)(t)values of the Jianshan granite are from-27.5 to-23.0 with T(DM2)model ages of 2632 to 2904 Ma.The peak age of inherited zircon grains from the Xishanyi granodiorite and the Jianshan granite were^2.07 Ga and^1.94 Ga,respectively.After compared with the regional magmatism,we suggest that both the Xishanyi and Jianshan granitoid intrusions were derived from partial melting of the NCC lower crust. | FU Xiang ZHANG Dayu YAO Ziwei REN Kangda DENG Yufeng LI Jiahao JIANG Ren YUAN Feng | 2020 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,6: | 1 |
| 8 | Underground blast effects on structural pounding显示文摘In the present study,actual three-dimensional structures are converted into a stick model of multi degree of-freedom(MDOF)systems for understanding the macro-behavior of structures.The study investigates the performance of three closely spaced,adjacent G+10,fixed-base MDOF systems with the mass aligned at the same levels and subjected to accidental underground blast loading.The acceleration time history of underground blast loading is generated based on past empirical relationships.The blast charge weight varies from 10 to 75 t while keeping the charge distance constant(R=100 m).The entire formulation is solved with the MATLAB solver,using the state space form solution.Three cases are considered,based on changing the position of the three stick systems.The first case considered left building rigid,middle building moderate rigid,and right building flexible.The second assumed left building flexible,middle building rigid,and right building moderate rigid.The third examined the left building as moderate rigid,the middle building as flexible,and the right building rigid.An analysis of the results shows that the arrangement with low stiffness,high stiffness,and moderately stiff buildings placed to the left,middle,and right side,respectively,yields minimum structural response when compared to the other two combinations. | Muhammed Zain Kangda Nilesh Mate Sachin Bakre | 2022 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2022,21,3: | 0 |
| 9 | Method of Monitoring Three-dimensional Mining Surface Deformation Based on InSAR显示文摘In order to solve the problems of small monitoring range,long time and high cost of existing sedimentation observation methods,based on two-view sentinel No.1 radar images of Guqiao mining area in Huainan City from November 4,2017 to November 28,2017,surface change information was obtained in combination with D-InSAR,and the three-dimensional surface deformation was monitored by two-pass method and single line of sight D-InSAR method.The results show that during the research period of 24 d,the maximum deformation of the mining area reached 71 mm,and the southern subsidence was the most obvious,which was in line with the mining subsidence law.The maximum displacement from the north to the south was about 250 mm,while the maximum displacement from the east to the west was about 80 mm,and the maximum subsidence in the center was 110 mm.It is concluded that D-InSAR technique has a good effect on the inversion of the mining subsidence,and this method is suitable for three-dimensional surface monitoring in areas with similar geological conditions.The monitoring results have certain reference value. | Ling QUAN Zijie LONG Zongyao MA Kangda CHEN Xueliang CHEN Yuanping XU Jiale LIU | 2024 | Meteorological and Environmental Research2024,15,1: | 0 |
