| 1 | Surface free energy of copper-zinc alloy for energy-saving of boiler显示文摘Cu-Zn, Cu-Zn-Sn, Cu-Zn-Ni alloys were melted by vacuum smelter. | 9 | Immune‑Ageing Evaluation of Peripheral T and NK Lymphocyte Subsets in Chinese Healthy Adults显示文摘Ageing is often accompanied with a decline in immune system function,resulting in immune ageing.Numerous studies have focussed on the changes in different lymphocyte subsets in diseases and immunosenescence.The change in immune phenotype is a key indication of the diseased or healthy status.However,the changes in lymphocyte number and phenotype brought about by ageing have not been comprehensively analysed.Here,we analysed T and natural killer(NK)cell subsets,the phenotype and cell differentiation states in 43,096 healthy individuals,aged 20–88 years,without known diseases.Thirty-six immune parameters were analysed and the reference ranges of these subsets were established in different age groups divided into 5-year intervals.The data were subjected to random forest machine learning for immune-ageing modelling and confirmed using the neural network analysis.Our initial analysis and machine modelling prediction showed that na.ve T cells decreased with ageing,whereas central memory T cells(Tcm)and effector memory T cells(Tem)increased cluster of differentiation(CD)28-associated T cells.This is the largest study to investigate the correlation between age and immune cell function in a Chinese population,and provides insightful differences,suggesting that healthy adults might be considerably influenced by age and sex.The age of a person's immune system might be different from their chronological age.Our immune-ageing modelling study is one of the largest studies to provide insights into‘immune-age’rather than‘biological-age’.Through machine learning,we identified immune factors influencing the most through ageing and built a model for immune-ageing prediction.Our research not only reveals the impact of age on immune parameter differences within the Chinese population,but also provides new insights for monitoring and preventing some diseases in clinical practice. | Zhenghu Jia Zhiyao Ren Dongmei Ye Jiawei Li Yan Xu Hui Liu Ziyu Meng Chengmao Yang Xiaqi Chen Xinru Mao Xueli Luo Zhe Yang Lina Ma Anyi Deng Yafang Li Bingyu Han Junping Wei Chongcheng Huang Zheng Xiang Guobing Chen Peiling Li Juan Ouyang Peisong Chen Oscar Junhong Luo Yifang Gao Zhinan Yin | 2023 | Phenomics2023,3,4: | 1 |

| 11 | A Hybrid Mathematical Model of Tumor-Induced Angiogenesis with Blood Perfusion显示文摘Angiogenesis, the growth of new blood vessel from existing ones, is a pivotal stage in cancer development,and is an important target for cancer therapy. We develop a hybrid mathematical model to understand the mechanisms behind tumor-induced angiogenesis. This model describes uptake of Tumor Angiogenic Factor(TAF)at extracellular level, uses partial differential equation to describe the evolution of endothelial cell density including TAF induced proliferation, chemotaxis to TAF, and haptotaxis to extracellular matrix. In addition we also consider the phenomenon of blood perfusion in the micro-vessels. The model produces sprout formation with realistic morphological and dynamical features, including the so-called brush border effect, the dendritic branching and fusing of the capillary sprouts forming a vessel network. The model also demonstrates the effects of individual mechanisms in tumor angiogenesis: Chemotaxis to TAF is the key driving mechanisms for the extension of sprout cell; endothelial proliferation is not absolutely necessary for sprout extension; haptotaxis to Extra Cellular Matrix(ECM) gradient provides additional guidance to sprout extension, suggesting potential targets for anti-angiogenic therapies. | Junping Meng Shoubin Dong Liqun Tang Yi Jiang | 2014 | Tsinghua Science and Technology2014,19,6: | 1 |
| 12 | Engineered macrophage-biomimetic versatile nanoantidotes for inflammation-targeted therapy against Alzheimer’s disease by neurotoxin neutralization and immune recognition suppression显示文摘Immune recognition of excessive neurotoxins by microglia is a trigger for the onset of neuroinflammation in the brain,leading to neurodegeneration in Alzheimer’s disease(AD).Blocking active recognition of microglia while removing neurotoxins holds promise for fundamentally alleviating neurotoxin-induced immune responses,but is very challenging.Herein,an engineered macrophage-biomimetic versatile nanoantidote(OT-Lipo@M)is developed for inflammation-targeted therapy against AD by neurotoxin neutralization and immune recognition suppression.Coating macrophage membranes can not only endow OT-Lipo@M with anti-phagocytic and inflammation-tropism capabilities to target inflammatory lesions in AD brain,but also efficiently reduce neurotoxin levels to prevent them from activating microglia.The loaded oxytocin(OT)can be slowly released to downregulate the expression of immune recognition site Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)on microglia,inhibiting TLR4-mediated pro-inflammatory signalling cascade.Benefiting from this two-pronged immunosuppressive strategy,OT-Lipo@M exhibits outstanding therapeutic effects on ameliorating cognitive deficits,inhibiting neuronal apoptosis,and enhancing synaptic plasticity in AD mice,accompanied by the delayed hippocampal atrophy and brain microstructural disruption by in vivo 9.4T MR imaging.This work provides new insights into potential AD therapeutics targeting microglia-mediated neuroinflammation at the source. | Meng Cheng Caihua Ye Chunxiao Tian Dongju Zhao Haonan Li Zuhao Sun Yuyang Miao Qiang Zhang Junping Wang Yan Dou | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,8: | 1 |
| 13 | A comparative study of library and information science education at library and information science institutions of higher learning in contemporary China's Mainland and Taiwan显示文摘In order to have an in-depth understanding of the present education situation of library and information science(hereafter LIS for short)in China’s Mainland and Taiwan,this paper compares the educational situation from the aspects of the purpose of such professional training,subject areas of concentrations,curricular construction,qualifications of faculty and their provisions for continuing education.On the basis of our research analysis,we concluded that,at present,the overall education situation of LIS in China’s Mainland and Taiwan is in many ways similar in their responses to an evolving information environment largely due to the impact of the rapid advancement of information technologies.Such responses include but not limited to the adoption of a new name identity representing their disciplinary study area now undergoing dramatic transformation and an ongoing restructuring of its curriculum in response to the changing information needs and service demands of the contemporary societies on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.Being such is the case,there are also noticeable differences in a few other aspects between them,which are worthy of our attention in our academic pursuit.They include but not limited to their contextual background of education system,the dominant factors that drive their educational reforms and so on.We hope that this paper will make new contributions to a fuller understanding and sound development of LIS education on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. | QIU Junping NI Chaoqun MENG Yuan | 2009 | Chinese Journal of Library and Information Science2009,,1: | 0 |
