Laboratory investigation on mechanisms of stress wave propagations in porous media显示文摘A number of porous models having the similar statistical characteristics of pores and physical properties with natural sandstones have been produced using reactive powder concrete(RPC) and polystyrenes.Spit-Hopkinson-Pressure-Bar tests and CT scans have been carried out on the models with the various porosities to probe the performance of wave propagations and the responses of pores and the matrix during wave propagations. It is shown that porosities significantly influence wave propagations. For an identical impact strain rate, the greater the porosity is,the larger the amplitude of the reflected wave appears, the more the peak in the reflected wave presents, and the smaller the amplitude of the trans-mitted wave turns out.A single peak emerges in the reflected wave when the porosity falls down to 5%.The larger the impact strain rate, the much remarkable the phenomena. The energy-dissipated ratio of porous models,i.e.,WJ /WI,linearly increases with the increment of porosities. The ratio is sensitive to the impact strain rate.Differences in the performance of wave propagations and energy dissipation result from the varied mechanisms that pores response to impacts. For the porosity less than 10%,the mechanism appears to be a process fracturing the matrix to generate new surfaces or pores.Energy has primarily been dissipated in creating new surfaces or pores. No apparent pore deformation takes place. The impact strain rate takes little effect on pore geometry. For the porosity of 15% or more, the mechanism works depending on the impact strain rate. When a low impact strain rate applies, the mechanism still appears to crack the matrix to generate surfaces or pores, but the amount is lower as compared to the case with a low porosity. If a large impact stain rate applies, the mechanism combines both fracturing the matrix and deforming the pores, with the deforming pores predominating. The vast majority of energy has been dissipated to deform pores.Only high porosity and impact strain rate can bring significant deformation to the pores. The proposed eccentricity of pores is capable of character-izing the geometry of pores and its change during wave propagations.JU Yang YANG YongMing MAO YanZhe LIU HongBin WANG HuiJie 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,5:13
Investigation on thermophysical properties of reactive powder concrete显示文摘The thermophysical properties, such as thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, specific heat capacity and linear thermal expansion of reactive powder concrete(RPC) with different steel fiber volumetric fractions are investigated by means of high temperature tests. The thermophysical characteristics of RPC with different fiber volumes under different temperatures are analyzed and compared with those of the common high-strength concrete and high-performance concrete. The empirical relationships of thermophysical properties with temperature and fiber volume are identified. By the heat transfer and solid physics methods, the microscopic physical mechanism of heat transfer process and heat conduction properties of RPC are investigated, and the theoretical formulas of specific heat capacity and thermal expansion coefficient are derived, respectively. The effects of temperature and steel fibers on the specific heat capacity and the thermal expansion coefficient are quantitatively analyzed and the discriminant conditions are provided. It is shown that the experimental results are consistent with the theoretical prediction.JU Yang LIU HongBin LIU JinHui TIAN KaiPei WEI Song HAO Song 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,12:13
An experimental investigation of the thermal spalling of polypropylene-fibered reactive powder concrete exposed to elevated temperatures显示文摘Polypropylene fibers are embedded to prevent reactive powder concrete(RPC) from spalling failure under high temperatures. This paper probes the influence of embedded fibers at various volumetric dosages on the thermomechanical properties of polypropylene-fibered reactive powder concrete(PPRPC) exposed to high temperatures up to 350 °C and on the spalling performance and characteristics up to 600 °C. The thermomechanical properties include the characteristic temperature for spalling, and residual strengths, such as the compressive strength, split tensile strength, and flexural tensile strength. A highdefinition charge-coupled device camera and scanning electron microscope technology were employed to capture the spalling processes and to detect the microstructural changes in the materials with various fiber dosages. To understand and characterize the mechanism by whichpolypropylene fibers influence the thermal spalling of RPC,a numerical model to determine the moisture migration and vapor pressure transmission during spalling was developed in this paper. It showed that there was an optimal volumetric dosage of fibers to prevent PPRPC from explosive spalling. The relationships between the mechanical characteristics of PPRPC and the fiber dosages were derived based on experimental data.Yang Ju Li Wang Hongbin Liu Kaipei Tian 2015Science Bulletin2015,60,23:10
Mesomechanism of steel fiber reinforcement and toughening of reactive powder concrete显示文摘Reactive powder concrete (RPC) is a novel cement-based composite material with ultra-high strength. Embedding a certain amount of short steel fibers in the matrix can improve the RPC’s toughness and overcome the disadvantage of high brittle- ness. In this paper, a number of direct uniaxial tension tests have been carried out with ‘8-shape’ RPC200 specimens. The bond-slip process, mesoscopic structural variation and mechanical characteristics of a fiber pullout of the matrix have been investigated using the real-time SEM loading system and CCD observation tech- niques. The influence of the volume of embedded short steel fibers in matrix on the mesoscopic morphology of attachments on the surface of a pulled individual fiber, the initial cracking force, the ultimate pullout force, interfacial bond strength and the pullout rupture energy have been analyzed. A general formulation relating these quantities to the volume of fibers in matrix has been proposed. The components comprising the interfacial bond strength have been outlined. In addition, the con- tribution that fibers make to enhance and toughen the reactive powder concrete has been discussed. It is shown that there exists an optimal threshold of fiber volume ρv, opt =1.5% at which the bond performance of a fiber pullout of RPC be- haves best.JU Yang JIA YuDan LIU HongBin CHEN Jian 2007Science China(Technological Sciences)2007,50,6:9
An investigation on micro pore structures and the vapor pressure mechanism of explosive spalling of RPC exposed to high temperature显示文摘Reactive powder concrete(RPC) is vulnerable to explosive spalling when exposed to high temperature. The characteristics of micro pore structure and vapor pressure of RPC are closely related to the thermal spalling.Applying mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) techniques, the authors probed the characteristics of micro pore structures of plain RPC200 when heated from 20-350℃.The pore characteristics such as specific pore volume, threshold pore size and most probable pore size varying with temperatures were investigated.A vapor pressure kit was developed to measure the vapor pressure and its variation inside RPC200 at various temperatures.A thin-wall spherical pore model was proposed to analyze the thermo-mechanical mechanism of spalling,by which the stresses varying with the vapor pressure q(T) and the characteristic size of wall(K) at any point of interest were determined. It is shown that the pore characteristics including specific pore volume, average pore size, threshold pore size and most probable pore size rise significantly with the increasing temperature.200℃ appears to be the threshold temperature above which the threshold pore size and the most probable pore size climb up dramatically. The increase in the specific pore volume results from the growth both in quantity and in volume of the transition pores and the capillary pores. The appearance of the explosive spalling in RPC200 is mainly attributed to being unable to form pathways in favor of releasing water steam in RPC and to the rapid accumulation of high vapor pressures as well. The thin-wall sphere domain where the vapor pressure governs the spalling is bounded through the pore model.JU Yang LIU HongBin TIAN KaiPei LIU JinHui WANG Li GE ZhiShun 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,2:8
Toughness and characterization of reactive powder concrete with ultra-high strength显示文摘A number of three-point bending and fracture tests of 200 MPa-level reactive powder concrete (RPC) with the various fiber contents have been conducted to probe the nature and characteristics of tough- ness of RPC200. The contribution of the embedded fibers to improving the crack-resistant capacity, energy absorption capacity and toughness with various deformation mechanisms has been analyzed. Taking account of that the first-crack deformation, peak-load deformation and their improvement varied with the fiber contents and that the deformation mechanism affected differently the performance at the first crack and the peak load, we took the peak-load deformation of plain RPC200 as the reference de- formation to measure the toughness of fibered RPC200. Two toughness indices T2(n?1)(n) and FT2(n?1)(n) have been formulated based on P-δ responses and P-CMOD responses. The indices quantify the tough- ness of RPC200 with the various deformation mechanisms relative to perfectly elastoplastic materials by setting the toughness level 2(n?1) as the initial reference. It is shown that the toughness index T2(n?1)(n) reflects the function of fibers to improve the toughness of RPC with the deformation throughout specimens, but overestimates the contribution to enhancing the toughness in post-peak periods. It underestimates, on other hands, the contribution to improving the toughness in the period from the first crack to the peak load. In contrast, the toughness index FT2(n?1)(n) properly presents the capability that fibers absorb energy and constrain crack propagation in the matrix when the deformation is con- centrated on the open crack. The proposed index unveils the contribution of fibers to toughening RPC200 both in the period from the first-crack to the peak load and in the period of post peak. This characterization method not only reveals the nature of toughness but also levels the toughness of RPC200. It could provide a way to establish an objective toughness characterization for RPC200 and facilitate its applications.Yang Ju HongBin Liu Jian Chen YuDan Jia PeiHuo Peng 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,4:7

Honeycomb-like polyaniline for flexible and folding all-solid-state supercapacitors显示文摘Porous polyaniline (PANI) was prepared through an efficient and costeffective method by polymerization of aniline in the NaCl solution at room temperature. The resulting PANI provided large surface area due to its highly porous structure and the intercrossed nanorod, resulting in good electrochemical performance. The porous PANI electrodes showed a high specific capacitance of 480 F·g^-1, 3 times greater than that of PANI without using the NaCl solution. We also make chemically crosslinked hydrogel film for hydrogel polymer electrolyte as well as the flexible supercapacitors (SCs) with PANI. The specific capacitance of the device was 234 F·g^-1 at the current density of 1 A·g^-1. The energy density of the device could reach as high as 75 W·h·kg^-1 while the power density was 0.5 kW·kg^-1, indicating that PANI be a promising material in flexible SCs.Ge JU Muhammad Arif KHAN Huiwen ZHENG Zhongxun AN Mingxia WU Hongbin ZHAO Jiaqiang XU Lei ZHANG Salma BILAL Jiujun ZHANG 2019Frontiers of Materials Science2019,13,2:1

LPCAT1 functions as a novel prognostic molecular marker in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the relationships between LPCAT1 expression and clinicopathologic parameters of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),further,to explore the effect of LPCAT1 on overall survival(OS)in patients with HCC,and its possible mechanism.Bioinformatics analysis using high throughput RNA-sequencing data from TCGA was utilized to explore the differential expression of LPCAT1 between normal and tumor tissues, and the associations between LPCAT1 expression and clinicopathological parameters.Survival analyses and subgroup survival analyses were utilized to elucidate the effect of LPCAT1 on OS in patients with HCC.Univariate analysis and multivariate analysis were used to investigate the prognostic factors.Potential LPCAT1 related tumor genes were identified by the methodology of differentially expressed genes(DEGs)screening.GO term enrichment analysis,KEGG pathway analysis and the PPI network were used to explore the potential mechanism.LPCAT1 was significantly overexpressed in HCC tumor tissues compared with normal tissues. The LPCAT1 expression was related to tumor grade,ECOG score,AFP and TNM stage, with P values of 0.000,0.000,0.007 and 0.000,respectively.Multivariate analysis demonstrated that LPCAT1 expression was independently associated with OS,with an HR of 1.04(CI:1.01–1.06,P=0.003).The KEGG pathway enrichment analyses showed that overlapped DEGs mainly participate in the cell cycle. Finally,we identified a hub gene,CDK1,which has been reported to act on the cell cycle, consistent with the result of KEGG enrichment analysis.Collectively, these data confirmed LPCAT1 was upregulated in HCC,and was an independent predictor of the prognosis.Hongbin Zhang Ke Xu Qin Xiang Lijuan Zhao Benxu Tan Ping Ju Xiufu Lan Yi Liu Jian Zhang Zheng Fu Chao Li Jinzhi Wang Jixiang Song Yun Xiao Zhaobo Cheng Yan Wang Shu Zhang Tingxiu Xiang 2022Genes & Diseases2022,9,1:0

A novel Mo-based oxide β-SnMoO4 as anode for lithium ion battery显示文摘Recently, the development of new electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)has received intensive attention. As an important family of inorganic materials, mixed Mo-based transition metal oxides system is focused as anode materials. In the present work,a simple route has been adopted for the synthesis of layered-flake-likeβ-SnMo04 Nano-assemblies,which have been explored as potential anode materials for the first time in lithium-ion battery(LIB).Overall, the current reports on metal molybdate as anode materials are still rarely. As the anode material for LIBs,it was observed that the fabricated anode is capable of delivering a steady state capacity of almost 400 mAh/g up to 300 cycles under the influence of200 mA/g current density.Further, the anode material is suitable for use as a rated capacity anode because of its high current density tolerance. The present study can be further extended for the generation of a wide variety of other novel materials for multidisciplinary energy related applications.Huiwen Zheng Hailin Zhang Yu Fan Ge Ju Hongbin Zhao Jianhui Fang Jiujun Zhang Jiaqiang Xu 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,1:0
