2Selective electrochemical production of hydrogen peroxide at zigzag edges of exfoliated molybdenum telluride nanoflakes显示文摘The two-electron reduction of molecular oxygen represents an effective strategy to enable the green,mild and on-demand synthesis of hydrogen peroxide.Its practical viability,however,hinges on the development of advanced electrocatalysts,preferably composed of non-precious elements,to selectively expedite this reaction,particularly in acidic medium.Our study here introduces 2H-MoTe2 for the first time as the efficient non-precious-metal-based electrocatalyst for the electrochemical production ofhydrogen peroxide in acids.We show that exfoliated 2H-MoTe2 nanoflakes have high activity(onset overpotential〜140 mV and large mass activity of 27 A g^-1 at 0.4 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode),great selectivity(H2O2 percentage up to 93%)and decent stability in 0.5 M H2SO4.Theoretical simulations evidence that the high activity and selectivity of 2H-MoTe2 arise from the proper binding energies of HOO*and O*at its zigzag edges that jointly favor the two-electron reduction instead of the four-electron reduction of molecular oxygen.Xuan Zhao Yu Wang Yunli Da Xinxia Wang Tingting Wang Mingquan Xu Xiaoyun He Wu Zhou Yafei Li Jonathan NColeman Yanguang Li 2020National Science Review2020,7,8:3

20Crohn's disease and clinical management today:How it does?显示文摘Crohn’s Disease(CD)is an Inflammatory Bowel Disease and is characterized by an immune-mediated nature.Its etiology results from the interaction between genetic,enviromental and microbial factors.Regarding pathophysiology,it involves high levels of interleukin(IL)-12,IL-17,and Th1 profile,along with loss of tolerance mechanisms,an increase in pro-inflammatory interleukins,beyond the possibility to affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract.Its symptoms include abdominal pain,chronic diarrhea,weight loss,anorexia,and fatigue,as well as blood in the stool or rectum.Additionally,conditions comprising musculoskeletal,cutaneous,ocular,hepatic,and hematological alterations may be associated with this scenario and extra-intestinal presentation,such as erythema nodosum,anterior uveitis,osteoporosis,and arthritis can also occur.Today,clinical history,exams as fecal calprotectin,ileocolonocopy,and capsule endoscopy can be performed in the diagnosis investigation,along with treatments to induce and maintain remission.In this sense,anti-inflammatory drugs,such as corticosteroids,immunomodulators,and biological agents,as well as surgery and non-pharmacological interventions plays a role in its therapy.The aim of this review is to bring more current evidence to clinical management of CD,as well as to briefly discuss aspects of its pathophysiology,surveillance,and associated disorders.Ronaldo Teixeira da Silva Júnior Jonathan Santos Apolonio Jessica Oliveira de Souza Nascimento Bruna Teixeira da Costa Luciano Hasimoto Malheiro Marcel Silva Luz Lorena Sousa de Carvalho Cleiton da SilvaSantos Fabrício Freire de Melo 2023World Journal of Methodology2023,13,5:0
