An improved social force model (ISFM)-based crowd evacuation simulation method in virtual reality with a subway fire as a case study显示文摘Crowd evacuation simulation using virtual reality(VR)is significant for digital emergency response construction. However, existing evacuation simulation studies suffer from poor adaptation to complex environments, inefficient evacuations, and poor simulation effects and do not fully consider the impacts of specific disaster environments on crowd evacuation. To more realistically express the crowd evacuation results obtained under the influence offire environments and the subjective consciousness of pedestrians in subway stations,we designed a dynamic pedestrian evacuation path planning method under multiple constraints, analysed the influences of an‘environmental role’and a‘subjective initiative’on crowd evacuation, established an improved social force model(ISFM)-based crowd evacuation simulation method in VR,developed a prototype system and conducted experimental analyses. The experimental results show that the crowd evacuation time of the ISFM is affected by the disaster severity. In simulation experiments without disaster scenarios, the improved model’s crowd evacuation efficiency improved by averages of 12.53%and 15.37%over the commercial Pathfinder software and the original social force model, respectively. The method described herein can effectively support real-time VR crowd evacuation simulation under multiexit and multifloor conditions and can provide technical support for emergency evacuation learning and management decision analyses involving subwayfires.Jinbin Zhang Jun Zhu Pei Dang Jianlin Wu Yuxuan Zhou Weilian Li Lin Fu Yukun Guo Jigang You 2023International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1:1
Risk-averse Robust Interval Economic Dispatch for Power Systems with Large-scale Wind Power Integration显示文摘This paper presents a robust interval economic dispatch(RIED)model for power systems with large-scale wind power integration.Differing from existing interval optimization(IO)approaches that merely rely on the upper and lower boundaries of random variables, the distribution information retained in the historical data is introduced to the IO method in this paper.Based on the available probability distribution function(PDF),wind power curtailment and load shedding are quantified as the operational risk and incorporated into the decision-making process. In this model,we need not rely on the forecasted value of wind power, which is randomly fluctuating and quite unpredictable.Furthermore, when the PDFs of wind power are taken into account, the resulting dispatch solution makes a good tradeoff between the generation cost and the operational risk. Finally, the RIED model yields an optimal dispatch solution for thermal units and the allowable intervals of wind power for the wind farms, which efficiently mitigates the uncertainty in wind power generation and provides more practical suggestions for system operators.Simulation studies are conducted on a modified IEEE-118 bus system and the results verify the effectiveness of the proposed RIED model.Zhenjia Lin Haoyong Chen Jinbin Chen Jianping Huang Mengshi Li 2024CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2024,10,1:0
A Mechanoelectrical Coupling Model of Neurons under Stretching显示文摘Introduction Neurons are situated in a microenvironment composed of various biochemical and biophysical cues, where stretching is thought to have a major impact on neurons. For instance, during a moderate traumatic brain impact, the injury region in axons exhibits significant longitudinal strain;and in a rat model of spinal cord injury, the most severe axonal injury is located in the largest strain region.Stretching may result in microstructural changes in neural tissue and further leading to abnormal electrophysiological function.Hence,it is of great importance to understand the coupled mechanoelectricalbehaviors of neurons under stretching. In spite of significant experimental efforts, the underlying mechanism remains elusive, more works are needed to provide a detailed description of the process that leads to the observed phenomena.Mathematical modeling is a powerful tool that offers a quantitative description of the underlying mechanism of an observed biological phenomenon, including mechanical and electrophysiological behaviors of neurons. Thus,we developed a mechanoelectrical coupling model of neurons under stretching in this study.Mathematical model The mathematical model consists of three submodels,i.e.,the mechanical submodel, the mechanoelectrical coupling submodel and the electrophysiological submodel. The mechanical submodel deals with the relationship between stretching and the deformation of axons, which has specially considered the plastic deformation of axons. The electrophysiological submodel characterizes the feature of neuronal action potential(AP),which is based on the classical H-H model and the cable theory. The mechanoelectrical coupling submodel links the mechanical and electrophysiological submodels through strain-induced equivalent circuit parameter alteration and ion channel injury.Besides,we have discussed a more general deformation condition, where an expanded model coupling the axonal deformation and electrophysiology alteration was explored. As the most essential parameters in an electrophysiological assessment, the amplitude of the AP,the neuronal firing frequency and the electrophysiological signal conduction velocity, which could be affected by stretching, were used as outputs of the model. Results&discussion To understand the mechanoelectrical coupling of neurons under stretching,we developed a mechanoelectrical coupling model. To verify the model,we simulated a slow stretching on an axon following the experimental study in the literature,we observed that as the strain increases, the peak AP declines faster, which is consistent with the experimental data. Moreover, the reduced AP cannot be restored to the original peak, implying that the damage is irreversible. The simulation results also predict that strain induces a more frequent neuronal firing and a faster conduction. In a realistic situation,in addition to stretching, the loading condition is very complicated, which may induce complex axonal deformation(e.g., necking and swelling along the axons). We also simulated such necking deformation impairment and observed that the AP amplitude decreases at the necking region and recovers after that, indicating a blockage of the AP;and the conduction velocity decreases with the increase in deformation degree. Conclusions In this study,we developed a mechanoelectrical coupling model of neurons under stretching with consideration of axonal plastic deformation. With the model,we found that the effect of mechanical loading on electrophysiology mainly manifests as decreased membrane AP amplitude,a more frequent neuronal firing and a faster electrophysiological signal conduction. The model predicts not only stretch-induced injury but also a more gene ral necking deformation case, which may someday be revealed in future by experiments, providing a reference for the prediction and regulation of neuronal function under mechanical loadings.Jin Tian Guoyou Huang Min Lin Jinbin Qiu Baoyong Sha Tian Jian Lu Feng Xu 2019医用生物力学2019,34,A01:0
A Highly Selective and Turn-on Fluorescent Probe for Fe^(3+) Ion Based on Perylene Tetracarboxylic Diimide显示文摘We have demonstrated a turn-on fluorescent sensor 6 for detection of Fe^(3+) based on photo-induced electron transfer(PET)mechanism. The probe comprises a perylene tetracarboxylic diimide(PDI)fluorophore and two bis((1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)methyl)amine(DTA)moieties as the metal ion receptors. It exhibits high selectivity toward Fe^(3+) over various other metal ions in CH_(3)CN/H_(2)O(1∶1,V/V).The binding stoichiometry for 6-Fe^(3+) complexes has been determined to be 1∶2 by a Job plot of fluorescence. The association constant between 6 and Fe^(3+) was estimated to be 1.04×10^(10)(mol/L)^(−2) by Benesi-Hildebrand equation.Jinbin Lin Chunhui Zhu Xiaoqiong Liu Bo Chen Yiyang Zhang Jinping Xue Jianyong Liu 2014Chinese Journal of Chemistry2014,32,11:0
Numerical Analysis of Residual Strength in the Perforated Casing of Ultra Deep Wells显示文摘A three-dimensional model for the numerical simulation of casing-cement behavior is used to investigate residual strength in the perforated casing of ultra deep wells. The influence of the hole diameter, hole density and phase angle on the residual strength of the casing under non-uniform stress and fracturing conditions is revealed through the consideration of different perforation parameters. It is shown that the residual strength of the casing increases with the hole diameter and periodically changes with the hole density;the phase angle is the main factor that affects the residual strength of the perforated casing, and the perforation should be avoided in the direction of the minimum principal stress to reduce stress concentration at the perforation hole. Moreover,as shown by a companion orthogonal experiment, the descending order of influence of the different influential parameters is:phase angle, hole diameter, hole density and the thickness of casing.Yanxian Wu Shouming Zhong Zhigang Guan Lin Song Kun Li Jiarui Sun Yuqiang Xu Maochuan Tu Chaobin Fan Jinbin Yang 2023Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2023,19,1:0
Effects of Different Cultivation Patterns of Wheat on Population Structure of Puccinia striiformis West.f. sp. tritici显示文摘The paper was to study the effects of different cultivation patterns( mix cultivation and monocultivation) of wheat on population structure of Puccinia striiformis West. f. sp. tritici in the fields. Five race-specific-markers( CY32,CY31,CY29,CY23 and Shuiyuan pathotype) were used to survey 113 infected samples collected from two cultivation patterns. The results indicated that frequency of race-specific-markers under monocultivation was higher than that under mix cultivation; the dominant race-specific-markers were CY32 and CY29 under monocultivation, and the frequency of detection were 81. 5% and 78. 5%,respectively. The dominant race-specific-markers were CY29 and Shuiyuan pathotype under mix cultivation, and the frequency of detection are 41. 7% and 18. 8%,respectively.Several race-specific-markers were detected in single infected leaf, and 41. 7% of infected single leaf were detected with more than two race-specific-markers,58. 3% of infected single leaf were detected with one race-specific-marker under mix cultivation pattern, while there were 75. 0% infected leaves with more than two race-specific-markers and 25. 0% infected single leaf detected with one race-specific-marker under monocultivation pattern. The results indicated that mix cultivation pattern of wheat can reduce races on single leaf, affect the distribution of races in infected leaves, and suppress the occurrence frequency of dominant races of P. striiformis in the fields significantly, subsequently reduced severity and prevalence of the disease.Li Jinbin Liu Lin Yang Jing Lan Mingqing Chen Mengqi Yang Jincheng Chen Xiangdong Li Yueqiu Zhu Youyong Li Chengyun 2014Plant Diseases and Pests2014,5,2:0
A dynamic holographic modelling method of digital twin scenes for bridge construction显示文摘Holographic projection technology can provide a more intuitive and efficient visualization effect for a digital twin bridge construction scene.However,pre-rendering methods in the existing research work are usually used to implement holographic visualization, which is static display. The above-mentioned methods for static display have many shortcomings, such as poor adaptability, low rendering efficiency and lack of real-time.A dynamic holographic modelling approach is proposed for the augmented visualization of digital twin scenes for bridge construction.Firstly,a dynamic segmentation algorithm with adaptive screen size was designed to high-efficiently generate holographic scenes.Secondly,a motion blur control method was designed to improve the rendering efficiency of holographic scenes according to human visual characteristics. Finally,a prototype system was developed, and the corresponding experimental analysis was completed. The experimental results show that the method proposed in this article can support adaptive screen size image segmentation and real-time generation of holographic scenes for bridge construction. The amount of scene data can be reduced to more than 30%,which significantly improves rendering efficiency and reduces glare.Jianlin Wu Jun Zhu Jinbin Zhang Pei Dang Weilian Li Yukun Guo Lin Fu Jianbo Lai Jigang You YaKun Xie Ce Liang 2023International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1:0
