Mesenteric lymph reperfusion may exacerbate brain injury in a rat model of superior mesenteric artery occlusion shock显示文摘BACKGROUND:The intestinal lymphatic pathway and intestinal ischemia/reperfusion are mainly involved in mesenteric lymph duct ligation or drainage;moreover, intervention by reducing the lymph liquid reflux might relieve lung and other organ dysfunction induced by intestinal ischemia/reperfusion;however,research addressing mesenteric lymph reperfusion (MLR) and brain injury has not yet to be reported.OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of MLR on brain tissue in a rat model of superior mesenteric artery occlusion (SMAO) shock, and to explore the molecular mechanism of MLR.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized, controlled, animal experiment at a neuro-pathophysiology level was performed at the Institute of Microcirculation,Hebei North University;Department of Pathophysiology,Basic Medical College;Department of Pathology, the First Hospital of Hebei North University between December 2007 and March 2009.MATERIALS:Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) standard was provided by the National Institute for the Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products;lactic acid (LA),superoxide dismutase (SOD),malonaldehyde (MDA),nitrogen monoxidum (NO),nitric oxide synthase (NOS),myeloperoxidase (MPO) and ATPase assay kits were provided by Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Institute,China.METHODS:A total of 24 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups. In the sham-surgery group (n=6),both the mesenteric lymph duct and the superior mesenteric artery were not blocked;in the MLR group (n=6),the mesenteric lymph duct was occluded for 1 hour followed by 2-hour reperfusion;in the SMAO group (n=6),the superior mesenteric artery was occluded for 1 hour followed by 2-hour reperfusion;in the MLR + SMAO group (n=6),both the mesenteric lymph duct and superior mesenteric artery were occluded for 1 hour followed by 2-hour reperfusion.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Mean arterial blood pressure prior to and following ischemia/reperfusion;brain tissue morphology levels of LA,MDA,SOD,NO,NOS,MPO,ATPase and ATP following reperfusion.RESULTS:MLR did not cause changes in mean arterial blood pressure, brain tissue morphology,LA,MDA,NO,ATP,SOD,NOS,MPO and ATPase. However,SMAO caused a rapid decrease and gradual increase of mean arterial blood pressure.Neuronal necrosis, degeneration and swelling were observed in brain tissue.Contents of MDA,NO,LA and ATP as well as activities of NOS and MPO were significantly increased (P < 0.05),but activities of SOD and Na+-K+-ATPase were significantly decreased (P < 0.05).MLR aggravated neuronal damage in a rat model of SMAO shock.Following MLR,mean arterial blood pressure was significantly decreased (P < 0.05),contents of MDA and NO as well as activities of NOS and MPO were significantly increased (P < 0.05),but activities of Ca2+-ATPase,Mg2+-ATPase and Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase as well as ATP content were significantly decreased (P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:MLR aggravates brain injury in a rat model of SMAO shock, which correlates with oxygen-derived free radical injury,NO synthesis and release, sequestration of neutrophilic granulocytes, decreasing activity of cell membrane pumps and energy metabolism dysfunction.Pathogenesis of the intestinal lymphatic pathway should be thoroughly investigated to prevent ischemia/reperfusion injury.Zigang Zhao Chunyu Niu Aimin Shang Jiaming Tian Rui Han Chunhui Zhang Yuping Zhang Jing Zhang 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,9:7
Influence of mesenteric lymph reperfusion on neurotransmitter expression in brain tissue of a superior mesenteric artery occlusion shock rat model显示文摘BACKGROUND: Previous studies have shown that mesenteric lymph reperfusion (MLR) exacerbates brain injury in a rat model of superior mesenteric artery occlusion (SMAO) shock. However, little is known about the influence of MLR on neurotransmitter expression in brain tissue. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of MLR on brain tissue injury by measuring monoamine and cholinergic neurotransmitter levels. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A randomized, controlled, animal experiment was performed at the Institute of Microcirculation, Hebei North University, China; Research Room of Microcirculation and Laboratory of Biochemistry, Department of Pathophysiology, Basic Medical College, Hebei North University between December 2007 and March 2009. MATERIALS: Choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) and acetylcholine esterase (AChE) kits were provided by Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Institute, China; dopamine (DA) and noradrenalin (NE) standards were provided by the National Institute for the Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products; HP1100 chromatograph of liquid was provided by Agilent, USA. METHODS: A total of 24 male, Wistar rats were randomly assigned to 4 groups: sham-surgery, MLR, SMAO, and MLR + SMAO groups, with 6 rats in each group. In the MLR or SMAO groups, the mesenteric lymph duct or superior mesenteric artery was blocked for 1 hour. In the MLR + SMAO group, the mesenteric lymph duct and superior mesenteric artery were occluded for 1 hour, followed by 2-hour reperfusion. ChAT and AChE levels were measured using the synthesized and hydrolyzed acetylcholine method, respectively. Liquid chromatography was employed to quantitatively analyze DA and NE levels, using relative retention time and the external standard method. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ChAT, AChE, DA, and NE levels. RESULTS: AChE levels were significantly increased, but ChAT levels were significantly decreased in the MLR and MLR + SMAO groups following 2-hour reperfusion (P < 0.01). However, AChE activity in the MLR + SMAO group was greater than in the MLR group (P < 0.05). DA and NE levels were significantly decreased in the SMAO and MLR + SMAO groups (P < 0.01), while DA levels in the MLR + SMAO group were less than in the SMAO group (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: MLR exacerbated brain injury in a rat model of SMAO shock, which correlated with the intestinal lymphatic pathway. MLR decreased DA levels, but increased AChE activity, in a rat model of SMAO shock.Chunyu Niu Zigang Zhao Aimin Shang Jiaming Tian Chunhui Zhang Rui Han Yuping Zhang Jing Zhang 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,11:2
Biomarkers of aging显示文摘Aging biomarkers are a combination of biological parameters to(i)assess age-related changes,(ii)track the physiological aging process, and(iii)predict the transition into a pathological status.Although a broad spectrum of aging biomarkers has been developed, their potential uses and limitations remain poorly characterized. An immediate goal of biomarkers is to help us answer the following three fundamental questions in aging research:How old are we?Why do we get old?And how can we age slower? This review aims to address this need. Here,we summarize our current knowledge of biomarkers developed for cellular, organ, and organismal levels of aging, comprising six pillars:physiological characteristics, medical imaging, histological features, cellular alterations, molecular changes, and secretory factors. To fulfill all these requisites,we propose that aging biomarkers should qualify for being specific, systemic, and clinically relevant.Aging Biomarker Consortium Hainan Bao Jiani Cao Mengting Chen Min Chen Wei Chen Xiao Chen Yanhao Chen Yu Chen Yutian Chen Zhiyang Chen Jagadish K Chhetri Yingjie Ding Junlin Feng Jun Guo Mengmeng Guo Chuting He Yujuan Jia Haiping Jiang Ying Jing Dingfeng Li Jiaming Li Jingyi Li Qinhao Liang Rui Liang Feng Liu Xiaoqian Liu Zuojun Liu Oscar Junhong Luo Jianwei Lv Jingyi Ma Kehang Mao Jiawei Nie Xinhua Qiao Xinpei Sun Xiaoqiang Tang Jianfang Wang Qiaoran Wang Siyuan Wang Xuan Wang Yaning Wang Yuhan Wang Rimo Wu Kai Xia Fu-Hui Xiao Lingyan Xu Yingying Xu Haoteng Yan Liang Yang Ruici Yang Yuanxin Yang Yilin Ying Le Zhang Weiwei Zhang Wenwan Zhang Xing Zhang Zhuo Zhang Min Zhou Rui Zhou Qingchen Zhu Zhengmao Zhu Feng Cao Zhongwei Cao Piu Chan Chang Chen Guobing Chen Hou-Zao Chen Jun Chen Weimin Ci Bi-Sen Ding Qiurong Ding Feng Gao Jing-Dong JHan Kai Huang Zhenyu Ju Qing-Peng Kong Ji Li Jian Li Xin Li Baohua Liu Feng Liu Lin Liu Qiang Liu Qiang Liu Xingguo Liu Yong Liu Xianghang Luo Shuai Ma Xinran Ma Zhiyong Mao Jing Nie Yaojin Peng Jing Qu Jie Ren Ruibao Ren Moshi Song Zhou Songyang Yi Eve Sun Yu Sun Mei Tian Shusen Wang Si Wang Xia Wang Xiaoning Wang Yan-Jiang Wang Yunfang Wang Catherine CL Wong Andy Peng Xiang Yichuan Xiao Zhengwei Xie Daichao Xu Jing Ye Rui Yue Cuntai Zhang Hongbo Zhang Liang Zhang Weiqi Zhang Yong Zhang Yun-Wu Zhang Zhuohua Zhang Tongbiao Zhao Yuzheng Zhao Dahai Zhu Weiguo Zou Gang Pei Guang-Hui Liu 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,5:2
Reasons for Reverse Flow of Expired Foods and Discussions on Solutions显示文摘In recent years, food safety accidents resulted from reverse flow of expired foods is of frequent occurrence. Therefore, finding out reasons for reverse flow of expired foods and taking effective measures to avoid reverse flow of expired foods are greatly significant to safeguard China's food safety. From analysis on current recovery processing situations and related regulations of expired foods in China,it is found that reverse flow of expired food is mainly resulted from no law to comply with,no regulation to follow in recovery processing of expired foods, enterprises lacking good faith, and imperfect accountability system and supervision system. In view of these factors,it comes up with following recommendations:( 1) Improving legal regulations on processing of expired foods;( 2) Making clear responsibility investigation of supervision and law enforcing departments;( 3) Setting up ' Four in One' supervision mode integrating enterprise self-discipline,market supervision, social monitoring, and information platform;( 4) Improving the supervision system for recovery processing of expired foods.Li SHEN Jiaming RUI 2014Asian Agricultural Research2014,6,1:1
Optimisation method for carbon black distribution of polypropylene-based semi-conductive screen materials and its effect on charge emission behaviour at screen/insulation interface显示文摘The semi-conductive(SC)screen materials used in polypropylene(PP)-based cables are usually multi-component composites.Polypropylene shows poor compatibility with carbon black(CB),and CB particles tend to disperse in the elastomer phase, which results in CB non-uniform dispersion in screen materials. The non-uniform distribution of CB will cause abnormal electric fields at the screen/insulation interface and affect insulation performance. This paper prepared modified PP grafted by molecule maleic anhydride, and four PP-based SC shielding materials were blended in combination with PP,PP-g-MAH,and thermoplastic elastomer(POE)as matrix resin. The CB distribution, electrical conductivity, and basic physical properties of the shielding material were characterised.Different screen materials were served as electrodes to test their effects on the space charge and conductivity characteristics of insulation. The relationship between the macroscopic properties and the distribution characteristics of CB was discussed. Results show that the selective dispersion of CB in screen material was improved by PPg-MAH and the surface electric potential distribution was homogenised.Charge emission at the screen/insulation interface and conductivity can be reduced by homogenising the CB distribution.CB/PP-g-MAH/POE prepared in this paper exhibits relatively uniform CB distribution, which can reduce the charge emission from the screen/insulation interface.Jiaming Yang Rui Zhang Xu Yang Zhi Sun Xindong Zhao Hong Zhao Xuan Wang Lin Li Heqian Liu 2023High Voltage2023,8,2:1
Unique and complementary suppression of cGAS-STING and RNA sensing- triggered innate immune responses by SARS-CoV-2 proteins显示文摘The emergence of SARS-CoV-2 has resulted in the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to millions of infections and hundreds of thousands of human deaths. The efficient replication and population spread of SARS-CoV-2 indicates an effective evasion of human innate immune responses, although the viral proteins responsible for this immune evasion are not clear. In this study,we identified SARS-CoV-2 structural proteins, accessory proteins, and the main viral protease as potent inhibitors of host innate immune responses of distinct pathways. In particular, the main viral protease was a potent inhibitor of both the RLR and cGAS-STING pathways.Viral accessory protein 0RF3a had the unique ability to inhibit STING,but not the RLR response. On the other hand, structural protein N was a unique RLR inhibitor.0RF3a bound STING in a unique fashion and blocked the nuclear accumulation of p65 to inhibit nuclear factor-KB signaling.3CL of SARS-CoV-2 inhibited K63-ubiquitin modification of STING to disrupt the assembly of the STING functional complex and downstream signaling.Diverse vertebrate STINGs,including those from humans, mice, and chickens, could be inhibited by 0RF3a and 3CL of SARS-CoV-2.The existence of more effective innate immune suppressors in pathogenic coronaviruses may allow them to replicate more efficiently in vivo.Since evasion of host innate immune responses is essential for the survival of all viruses, our study provides insights into the design of therapeutic agents against SARS-CoV-2.Yajuan Rui Jiaming Su Si Shen Ying Hu Dingbo Huang Wenwen Zheng Meng Lou Yifei Shi Meng Wang Shiqi Chen Na Zhao Qi Dong Yong Cai Rongzhen Xu Shu Zheng Xiao-Fang Yu 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,4:1

Injectable cartilage matrix hydrogel loaded with cartilage endplate stem cells engineered to release exosomes for non-invasive treatment of intervertebral disc degeneration显示文摘Low back pain, mainly caused by intervertebral disc degeneration(IVDD),is a common health problem;however, current surgical treatments are less than satisfactory. Thus,it is essential to develop novel non-invasive surgical methods for IVDD treatment. Here,we describe a therapeutic strategy to inhibit IVDD by injecting hydrogels modified with the extracellular matrix of costal cartilage(ECM-Gels)that are loaded with cartilage endplate stem cells(CESCs).After loaded with CESCs overexpressing Sphk2(Lenti-Sphk2-CESCs)and injected near the cartilage endplate(CEP)of rats in vivo,ECM-Gels produced Sphk2-engineered exosomes(Lenti-Sphk2-Exos).These exosomes penetrated the annulus fibrosus(AF)and transported Sphk2 into the nucleus pulposus cells(NPCs).Sphk2 activated the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)/p-AKT pathway as well as the intracellular autophagy of NPCs,ultimately ameliorating IVDD.This study provides a novel and efficient non-invasive combinational strategy for IVDD treatment using injectable ECM-Gels loaded with CESCs that express Sphk2 with sustained release of functional exosomes.Liwen Luo Junfeng Gong Zhouguang Wang Yao Liu Jiaming Cao Jinghao Qin Rui Zuo Hongyu Zhang Shuai Wang Ping Zhao Di Yang Mengjie Zhang Yanqiu Wang Junfeng Zhang Yue Zhou Changqing Li Bing Ni Zhiqiang Tian MingHan Liu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,9:1

Large photovoltaic effect with ultrahigh open-circuit voltage in relaxor-based ferroelectric Pb(In_(1/2)Nb_(1/2))O_(3)-Pb(Mg_(1/3)Nb_(2/3))O_(3)-PbTiO_(3)ceramics显示文摘Recently,the anomalous photovoltaic effect of ferroelectric materials has attracted considerable attention in the construction of efficient solar cells owing to the above-bandgap photovoltage of these materials. In this study,we investigate the anomalous photovoltaic effect of relaxor-based ferroelectric Pb(In_(1/2)Nb_(1/2))O_(3)-Pb(Mg_(1/3)Nb_(2/3))O_(3)-PbTiO_(3)(PIMN-PT)ceramics with large remnant polarization and a narrow optical bandgap.Excellent photovoltaic performance with an ultrahigh open-circuit voltage of 23 V(575 V/cm)is achieved, which is higher than the open-circuit voltages of all reported polycrystalline materials with similar thickness. The phase structure, microstructure morphology, domain structure, ferroelectric and optical characteristics are analyzed, which could provide clues to the origin of the ultrahigh open-circuit voltage of PIMN-PT ceramics. The results suggest that the relaxor-based ferroelectric PIMNPT system is a potential candidate for photovoltaic solar energy conversion devices.Xudong Qi Kai Li Enwei Sun Bingqian Song Da Huo Jiaming Li Xianjie Wang Rui Zhang Bin Yang Wenwu Cao 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,9:0
Peptide-Conjugated AggregationInduced Emission Fluorogen:Precise and Firm Cell Membrane Labeling by Multiple Weak Interactions显示文摘The cell membrane is a vital barrier that protects the cell from external damage and is involved in many biochemical processes. Thus,it is of great significance to label the cell membrane to explore its function. However, due to its complex and dynamic nature, precise and firm cell membrane labeling simultaneously is still a challenge.Herein,we report the fabrication of a peptide-conjugated aggregationinduced emission fluorogen(AIEgen),RTP,consisting of three main components:(1)An integrin-targeting peptide(RGD,R),which could bind specifically to integrinαvβ3 on cell membranes through ligand–receptor interaction.(2)An AIE-active tetraphenylethene derivative(T-MY,T)for fluorescent imaging.(3)Palmitic acid-modified peptide(Pal-RRRR,P),in which Pal isinserted into the lipid on the cellmembrane by hydrophobic interaction, and RRRR interacted with the negatively charged cell membrane components(proteins and lipids)through electrostatic forces.RTP could precisely label tumor cells with high integrinαvβ3 expression andfirmly trace the cellmembrane for up to 4 h;it also has a strong resistance to photobleaching. Moreover,RTP achieved in vivo tumor-specific imaging via cell membrane labeling.Thereby, utilizing multiple weak interactions between the fluorescent probe and the cell membrane provided a new strategy for precise and firm imaging of the cell membrane simultaneously.Juliang Yang Jing-Jing Hu Jiaming Wei Jun Dai Rui Liu Fan Xia Xiaoding Lou 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,2:0
TRAF3 activates STING-mediated suppression of EV-A71 and target of viral evasion显示文摘Innate immunity represents one of the main host responses to viral infection.1,2,3 STING(Stimulator of interferon genes),a crucial immune adapter functioning in host cells, mediates cGAS(Cyclic GMP-AMP Synthase)sensing of exogenous and endogenous DNA fragments and generates innate immune responses.4 Whether STING activation was involved in infection and replication of enterovirus remains largely unknown. In the present study,we discovered that human enterovirus A71(EV-A71)infection triggered STING activation in a cGAS dependent manner.EV-A71 infection caused mitochondrial damage and the discharge of mitochondrial DNA into the cytosol of infected cells. However, during EV-A71 infection,cGAS-STING activation was attenuated.EV-A71 ^(pro)teins were screened and the viral ^(pro)tease 2A^(pro) had the greatest capacity to inhibit cGAS-STING activation. We identified TRAF3 as an important factor during STING activation and as a target of 2A^(pro).Supplement of TRAF3 rescued cGAS-STING activation suppression by 2A^(pro).TRAF3 supported STING activation mediated TBK1 phosphorylation. Moreover,we found that 2A^(pro) ^(pro)tease activity was essential for inhibiting STING activation.Furthermore,EV-D68 and CV-A16 infection also triggered STING activation. The viral ^(pro)tease 2A^(pro) from EV-D68 and CV-A16 also had the ability to inhibit STING activation. As STING activation prior to EV-A71 infection generated cellular resistance to EV-A71 replication, blocking EV-A71-mediated STING suppression represents a new anti-viral target.Wenwen Zheng Zhenbang Zhou Yajuan Rui Runxin Ye Fengyan Xia Fei Guo Xiaoman Liu Jiaming Su Meng Lou Xiao-Fang Yu 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,3:0
Genome transfer for the prevention of female infertility caused by maternal gene mutation显示文摘Poor oocyte quality is associated with early embryo developmental arrest and infertility.Maternal gene plays crucial roles in the regulation of oocyte maturation, and its mutation is a common cause of female infertility. However, how to improve oocyte quality and develop effective therapy for maternal gene mutation remains elusive. Here,we use Zar1 as an example to assess the feasibility of genome transfer to cure maternal gene mutationecaused female infertility. We first discover that cytoplasmic deficiency primarily leads to Zar1-null embryo developmental arrest by disturbing maternal transcript degradation and minor zygotic genome activation(ZGA)during the maternal-zygotic transition. We next perform genome transfer at the oocyte(spindle transfer or polar body transfer)and zygote(early pronuclear transfer or late pronuclear transfer)stages to validate the feasibility of preventing Zar1 mutationecaused infertility. We finally demonstrate that genome transfer either at the oocyte or at the early pronuclear stage can support normal preimplantation embryo development and produce live offspring. Moreover, those pups grow to adulthood and show normal fertility. Therefore, our findings provide an effective basis of therapies for the treatment of female infertility caused by maternal gene mutation.Dandan Bai Jin Sun Yanping Jia Jiqing Yin Yalin Zhang Yanhe Li Rui Gao Xiling Du Kunming Li Jiaming Lin Zhifen Tu Yu Wang Jiaping Pan Shanshan Liang Yi Guo Jingling Ruan Xiaochen Kou Yanhong Zhao Hong Wang Cizhong Jiang Fengchao Wang Xiaoming Teng Wenqiang Liu Shaorong Gao 2020Journal of Genetics and Genomics2020,47,6:0
Joint mission and route planning of unmanned air vehicles via a learning-based heuristic显示文摘Unmanned air vehicles(UAVs) have been regularly employed in modern wars to conduct different missions. Instead of addressing mission planning and route planning separately, this study investigates the issue of joint mission and route planning for a fleet of UAVs. The mission planning determines the configuration of weapons in UAVs and the weapons to attack targets, while the route planning determines the UAV’s visiting sequence for the targets. The problem is formulated as an integer linear programming model. Due to the inefficiency of CPLEX on large scale optimization problems, an effective learningbased heuristic, namely, population based adaptive large neighborhood search(P-ALNS), is proposed to solve the model. In P-ALNS, seven neighborhood structures are designed and adaptively utilized in terms of their historical performance. The effectiveness and superiority of the proposed model and algorithm are demonstrated on test instances of small, medium and large sizes. In particular, P-ALNS achieves comparable solutions or as good as those of CPLEX on small-size(20 targets)instances in much shorter time.SHI Jianmai ZHANG Jiaming LEI Hongtao LIU Zhong WANG Rui 2023Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2023,34,1:0
