1HYD-PEP06 suppresses hepatocellular carcinoma metastasis,epithelial-mesenchymal transition and cancer stem cell-like properties by inhibiting PI3K/AKT and WNT/β-catenin signaling activation显示文摘HYD-PEP06,an endostatin-modified polypeptide,has been shown to produce effective anticolorectal carcinoma effects through inhibiting epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT).However,whether HYD-PEP06 has similar suppressive effect on hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) remained unknown.In this study,HYD-PEP06 inhibited metastasis and EMT but not proliferation in vitro.Cignal finder pathway reporter array and Western blot analysis revealed that HYD-PEP06 suppressed HCCLM3 cell metastasis and EMT by inhibiting the PI3 K/AKT pathway.Moreover,HYD-PEP06 exerted antimetastasis effects in HepG2 cancer stem-like cells(CSCs) via suppressing the WNT/β-catenin signaling pathway.Finally,in HCCLM3 tumor-bearing BALB/c nu/nu nude mice,HYD-PEP06 substantially suppressed tumor growth,lung metastasis and HCC progress.Our results suggest that HYD-PEP06 inhibits the metastasis and EMT of HCC and CSCs as well,and thus has the potential as an agent for HCC treatment.Wei Tian Jiatong Li Zhuo Wang Tong Zhang Ying Han Yanyan Liu Wenfeng Chu Yu Liu Baofeng Yang 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,6:5
2Multifunctional aramid nanofibers reinforced RGO aerogels integrated with high-efciency microwave absorption, sound absorption and heat insulation performance显示文摘Although lightweight and three-dimensional(3 D) graphene aerogels are highly desirable for microwave absorption(MA) due to their high porosity,specific surface area,and 3 D conductive network,it still remains a large challenge to construct a multifunctional application framework to quickly adapt to the complex practical environment,making it to be efficiently applied in a variety of complex situation.Herein,multifunctional aramid nanofibers(ANFs) reinforced reduced graphene oxide aerogels(RGO@ANF) have been achieved by in-situ gel reaction,freeze-drying,and thermal annealing processes.The introduced ANFs in RGO aerogels can prevent the graphene sheets from over-stacking and enhance the connectivity of cell walls,thus leading to excellent compression resistance,MA,sound absorption,and thermal insulation performance.Under 70% strain,the maximum compressive stress of RGO@ANF aerogel reaches78.8 kPa,and reversible compressibility with reliable resistance to fatigue for 100 compressive cycles at20% strain.Further,the RGO@ANF aerogel exhibit a minimum reflection loss(RL_(min)) of-56.5 dB and a maximum effective absorption bandwidth(EAB) of 7.0 GHz at a thickness of 2.8 mm,basically covering the X and Ku bands.Moreover,the hybrid aerogel exhibited excellent sound absorption with an average absorption coefficient> 0.56 at 2-6 kHz and good thermal insulation performance with low thermal conductivity of about 49.18 mW m-1K-1.The integrated graphene aerogels with such multifunctional performances hold a great promise for applications such as MA,sound absorption,and heat insulation.Qian Liu Liang Tang Jinzhe Li Yao Chen Zhengkang Xu Jiatong Li Xinyu Chen Fanbin Meng 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,35:4

4Exploration about superior anti-counterfeiting ability of Sm^(3+) doped KSr_(2)Nb_(5)O_(15) photochromic ceramics:Origin and atomic-scale mechanism显示文摘Reversible luminescence modulation behavior upon the photochromic effect endows the photochromic ceramics with 3reat potential in anti-counterfeiting and data storage applications.Here,Sm^(3+)-doped KSr_(2)Nb_(5)O_(15) photochromic ceramics exhibit superior anti-counterfeiting ability:good covertness and considerable modulation ratio of luminescent emission intensity after photochromic reaction.The results show that the photochromism originated from oxygen and cation vacancies,which were directly identified by electron paramagnetic resonance and positron annihilation lifetime spectra.Unexpectedly,oxygen vacancies work more effectively than cation vacancies during photochromic reactions.Moreover,the extraordinary anti-counterfeiting ability was attributed to the high energy transfer rate,which was particularly caused by the short mean distance below 1 nm between the Sm^(3+) and vacancies.The work here has provided atomic-scale structural evidence and made a progress in understanding the photochromic origins and mechanism in color-center theory.Shuyao Cao Jiatong Zhu Qian Chen Junting Liu Changying Wu Leilei Li Jie Xu Haixue Yan Feng Gao 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,1:1
5Diagenesis and reservoir quality of the Upper Triassic Chang 6 member in Jingan Oilfield, Ordos Basin, China显示文摘The Chang 6 reservoir of Yanchang formation in Jingan oilfield has relatively poor quality:the porosity ranges mainly from 8 to 14%,and permeability ranges from 0.018 to 10.48 md,with a mean of 1.10 md,categorized as low porosity and low permeability reservoir type with strong heterogeneity.Petrographic and geochemical analyses of various components in these sandstones have provided clues of diagenesis.The sandstones at the early stage of diagenesis are characterized by non-ferroan calcite cementation,grain-coating,pore-lining clay minerals,and initial dissolution of detrital grains.Authigenic quartz,porefilling and grain-replacive laumontites,albitized detrital plagioclase,authigenic K-feldspar,illite and late ferroan calcite cement dominate the late diagenesis.Reservoir quality is influenced by products of late diagenesis stage,the cement(calcite,albite,quartz,illite,and laumontite)occluded primary and secondary porosity.The organic acidic fluid derived from organic matter in the source rocks during the late diagenesis,which results in the dissolution of detrital plagioclase and laumontite cement and was the main reason for the enhancement of reservoir-quality.As a result of that,the residual primary pore and dissolution pore comprised the main accumulation space for oil and gas,and thus become important targets for hydrocarbon exploration.Bin Li Jun Peng Qingsong Xia Jiatong Xie Meijianzi Han 2018Petroleum2018,4,2:1
6Aggregation-enabled alkene insertion into carbon–halogen bonds显示文摘Molecular aggregation affects the electronic interactions between molecules and has emerged as a powerful tool in material science.Aggregate effect finds wide applications in the research of new physical phenomena;however,its value for chemical reaction development has been far less explored.Herein,we report the development of aggregation-enabled alkene insertion into carbon–halogen bonds.The spontaneous cleavage of C–X(X=Cl,Br,or I)bonds generates an intimate ion pair,which can be quickly captured by alkenes in an aggregated state.Additional catalysts or promoters are not necessary under such circumstances,and solvent quenching experiments indicate that the aggregated state is critical for achieving such sequences.The ionic insertion mode is supported by mechanistic studies,density functional theory calculations,and symmetry-adapted perturbation theory analysis.Results also show that the non-aggregated state may quench the transition state and terminate the insertion process.Meng-Yao Li Xiao-Mei Nong Han Xiao Ao Gu Shuyang Zhai Jiatong Li Ge Zhang Ze-Jian Xue Yingbin Liu Chunsen Li Guo-Qiang Lin Chen-Guo Feng 2023Aggregate2023,4,5:0
7Mitochondrial dysfunction and quality control lie at the heart of subarachnoid hemorrhage显示文摘The dramatic increase in intracranial pressure after subarachnoid hemorrhage leads to a decrease in cerebral perfusion pressure and a reduction in cerebral blood flow.Mitochondria are directly affected by direct factors such as ischemia,hypoxia,excitotoxicity,and toxicity of free hemoglobin and its degradation products,which trigger mitochondrial dysfunction.Dysfunctional mitochondria release large amounts of reactive oxygen species,inflammatory mediators,and apoptotic proteins that activate apoptotic pathways,further damaging cells.In response to this array of damage,cells have adopted multiple mitochondrial quality control mechanisms through evolution,including mitochondrial protein quality control,mitochondrial dynamics,mitophagy,mitochondrial biogenesis,and intercellular mitochondrial transfer,to maintain mitochondrial homeostasis under pathological conditions.Specific interventions targeting mitochondrial quality control mechanisms have emerged as promising therapeutic strategies for subarachnoid hemorrhage.This review provides an overview of recent research advances in mitochondrial pathophysiological processes after subarachnoid hemorrhage,particularly mitochondrial quality control mechanisms.It also presents potential therapeutic strategies to target mitochondrial quality control in subarachnoid hemorrhage.Jiatong Zhang Qi Zhu Jie Wang Zheng Peng Zong Zhuang Chunhua Hang Wei Li 2024Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,4:0

9DCX and CRABP2 are candidate genes for differential diagnosis between pre-chemotherapy embryonic and alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma in pediatric patients显示文摘Importance Rhabdomyosarcoma(RMS)is the most common soft tissue sarcoma in children.More than 90%of cases are classified as embryonic RMS(ERMS)or alveolar RMS(ARMS).ERMS has a worse prognosis than ARMS.Early differential diagnosis is of paramount importance for optimization of treatment.Objective To identify genes that are differentially expressed between ARMS and ERMS,which can be used for accurate rhabdomyosarcoma classification.Methods Three Gene Expression Omnibus datasets composed of ARMS and ERMS samples were screened and 35 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified.Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis and area under the curve analysis was performed for these 35 DEGs and seven candidate genes with the best differential expression scores between ARMS and ERMS were determined.The expression of these seven candidate genes was validated by immunohistochemical analysis of pre-chemotherapy ARMS and ERMS specimens.Results The levels of DCX and CRABP2 were confirmed to be remarkably different between paraffin-embedded ARMS and ERMS tissues,while EGFR abundance was only marginally different between these two RMS subtypes.Interpretation DCX and CRABP2 are potential biomarkers for distinguishing ARMS from ERMS in pre-chemotherapy pediatric patients.Nian Sun Yeran Yang Shengcai Wang Jie Zhang Jingang Gui Jun Tai Lejian He Jiatong Xu Yanzhen Li Xuexi Zhang Qiaoyin Liu Zhiyong Liu Yongli Guo Xin Ni 2021Pediatric Investigation2021,5,2:0
10Presence of Rare Variants is Associated with Poorer Survival in Chinese Patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis显示文摘Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS)is a fatal neurodegenerative disorder with phenotypic and genetic heterogeneity.Recent studies have suggested an oligogenic basis of ALS,in which the co-occurrence of two or more genetic variants has additive or synergistic deleterious effects.To assess the contribution of possible oligogenic inheritance,we profiled a panel of 43 relevant genes in 57 sporadic ALS(sALS)patients and eight familial ALS(fALS)patients from five pedigrees in east China.We filtered rare variants using the combination of the Exome Aggregation Consortium,the 1000 Genomes and the HuaBiao Project.We analyzed patients with multiple rare variants in 43 known ALS causative genes and the genotype–phenotype cor-relation.Overall,we detected 30 rare variants in 16 different genes and found that 16 of the sALS patients and all the fALS patients examined harbored at least one variant in the investigated genes,among which two sALS and four fALS patients harbored two or more variants.Of note,the sALS patients with one or more variants in ALS genes had worse survival than the patients with no variants.Typically,in one fALS pedigree with three variants,the family member with three variants(Superoxide dismutase 1(SOD1)p.V48A,Optineurin(OPTN)p.A433V and TANK binding kinase 1(TBK1)p.R573H)exhibited much more severe disease phenotype than the member carrying one variant(TBK1 p.R573H).Our findings suggest that rare variants could exert a negative prognostic effect,thereby supporting the oligogenic inheritance of ALS.Siqi Dong Xianhong Yin Kun Wang Wenbo Yang Jiatong Li Yi Wang Yanni Zhou Xiaoni Liu Jiucun Wang Xiangjun Chen 2023Phenomics2023,3,2:0

12Mutually testing source-device-independent quantum random number generator显示文摘Quantum random numbers have an incomparable advantage over pseudo-random numbers since randomness originates from intrinsic property of quantum mechanics.The generation rate and the security of quantum random numbers are two significant indicators of a quantum random number generator(QRNG)for practical applications.Here we propose a mutually testing source-device-independent QRNG by simultaneously measuring a pair of conjugate quadratures from two separate parts of an untrusted continuous-variable quantum state.The amounts of randomness of the quadratures can be mutually estimated by each other via entropic uncertainty principle.Instead of randomly toggling between the conjugate quadratures of one state for collecting different types of data,two quadratures can generate check data and raw bits simultaneously and continuously in this mutually testing manner,which enhances the equivalent generation rate of private random bits to around 6 Gbit/s with a 7.5 mW laser beam.Moreover,the overall security is also improved by adjusting the conditional min-entropy in real time according to the continually monitored fluctuations of the local oscillator and the randomly measured electronic noise of homodyne detectors.Jialin Cheng Jiliang Qin Shaocong Liang Jiatong Li Zhihui Yan Xiaojun Jia Kunchi Peng 2022Photonics Research2022,10,3:0
13Environment and COVID-19 incidence: A critical review显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic is an unprecedented worldwide health crisis.Many previous research studies have found and investigated its links with one or some natural or human environmental factors.However,a review on the relationship between COVID-19 incidence and both the natural and human environment is still lacking.This review summarizes the inter-correlation between COVID-19 incidence and environmental factors.Based on keyword searching,we reviewed 100 relevant peer-reviewed articles and other research literature published since January 2020.This review is focused on three main findings.One,we found that individual environmental factors have impacts on COVID-19 incidence,but with spatial heterogeneity and uncertainty.Two,environmental factors exert interactive effects on COVID-19 incidence.In particular,the interactions of natural factors can affect COVID-19 transmission in micro-and macro-ways by impacting SARS-CoV-2 survival,as well as human mobility and behaviors.Three,the impact of COVID-19 incidence on the environment lies in the fact that COVID-19-induced lockdowns caused air quality improvement,wildlife shifts and socio-economic depression.The additional value of this review is that we recommend future research perspectives and adaptation strategies regarding the interactions of the environment and COVID-19.Future research should be extended to cover both the effects of the environment on the COVID-19 pandemic and COVID-19-induced impacts on the environment.Future adaptation strategies should focus on sustainable environmental and public policy responses.Jiatong Han Jie Yin Xiaoxu Wu Danyang Wang Chenlu Li 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,2:0

16Heterogeneous integrated phase modulator based on two-dimensional layered materials显示文摘Silicon nitride,with ultralow propagation loss and a wide transparency window,offers an exciting platform to explore integrated photonic devices for various emerging applications.It is appealing to combine the intrinsic optical properties of two-dimensional layered materials with high-quality optical waveguides and resonators to achieve functional devices in a single chip.Here we demonstrate a micro-ring resonator-based phase modulator integrated with few-layer MoS_(2).The ionic liquid is employed directly on the surface of MoS_(2) to form a capacitor configuration.The effective index of the composite MoS_(2)–SiN waveguide can be modulated via adjusting bias voltages to achieve different charged doping induced electro-refractive responses in MoS_(2) film.The maximum effective index modulation of the composite MoS_(2)–SiN waveguide can be achieved to 0.45×10^(−3).The phase tuning efficiency is measured to be 29.42 pm/V,corresponding to a V_(π)L of 0.69 V·cm.Since the micro-ring resonator is designed near the critical coupling regime,the coupling condition between the bus waveguide and micro-ring resonator can also be engineered from under-coupling to over-coupling regime during the charged doping process.That can be involved as a degree of freedom for the coupling tailoring.The ability to modulate the effective index with two-dimensional materials and the robust nature of the heterostructure integrated phase modulator could be useful for engineering reliable ultra-compact and low-power-consumption integrated photonic devices.HAO CHEN ZEXING ZHAO ZIMING ZHANG GUOQING WANG JIATONG LI ZHENYUAN SHANG MENGYU ZHANG KAI GUO JUNBO YANG PEIGUANG YAN 2022Photonics Research2022,10,6:0
17Influence of order-disorder transition on the mechanical andthermophysical properties of ABOhigh-entropy ceramicsInfluence of order-disorder transition on the mechanical and thermophysical properties of A_(2)B_(2)O_(7)high-entropy ceramics 1显示文摘The order–disorder transition(ODT)of A_(2)B_(2)O_(7)compounds obtained enormous attention owing to the potential application for thermal barrier coating(TBC)design.In this work,the influence of ODT on the mechanical and thermophysical properties of dual-phase A_(2)B_(2)O_(7)high-entropy ceramics was investigated by substituting Ce^(4+)and Hf^(4+)with different ionic radii on B-sites(Zr^(4+)).The X-ray diffraction(XRD),Raman,and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)results show that rA3+/rB^(4+)=1.47 is the critical value of ODT phase boundary with different doping B-site ion contents,and the energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)results further indicate the uniform distribution of elements.Interestingly,owing to the high intrinsic disorder derived from high-entropy effect,the A_(2)B_(2)O_(7)high-entropy ceramics exhibit unreduced modulus(E0≈230 GPa)and enhanced mechanical properties(HV≈10 GPa,KIC≈2.3 MPa·m^(0.5)).A_(2)B_(2)O_(7)high-entropy ceramics exhibit excellent thermal stability with relatively high thermal expansion coefficients(TECs)(Hf_(0.25),11.20×10-6 K-1,1000℃).Moreover,the matching calculation implied that the ODT further enhances the phonon scattering coefficient,leading to a relatively lower thermal conductivity of(La_(0.25)Eu_(0.25)Gd_(0.25)Yb_(0.25))2(Zr_(0.85)Ce_(0.15))_(2)O_(7)(1.48–1.51 W/(m·K),100–500℃)compared with other components.This present work provides a novel composition design principle for high-entropy ceramics,as well as a material selection rule for high-temperature insulation applications.Jiatong ZHU Mingyue WEI Jie XU Runwu YANG Xuanyu MENG Ping ZHANG Jinlong YANG Guangzhong LI Feng GAO 2022Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,8:0
