1Geochemistry and regional distribution of ophiolites and associated volcanics in Mianlüe suture, Qinling-Dabie Mountains显示文摘Systematic studies of the ophiolites and associated volcanics stretching more than 1500 km from the Derni-Nanping-Pipasi-Kangxian area in the west to the Qingshuihe area of the south Dabie Mountains in the east indicate the existence of a suture zone (the Mianl黣 suture) and a vanished paleo-ocean basin (the Mianl黣 paleo-ocean basin) in the region. From west to east, ophiolitic mlange associations distribute discontinuously along the suture. Rock assem-blages include ophiolite, island arc and oceanic island rock series. The Mianl黣 paleo-ocean basin experienced its major formation and expending episode during the Carboniferous-Permian period. 3Inhibitory Effects of Propolis Water Extract on the Proliferation of Cervical Cancer Cells显示文摘[Objectives]To investigate the effects of propolis extract on HeLa cells to provide theoretical guidance for facilitating clinical treatment.[Methods]The effects of propolis on inflammation,and proliferation were analyzed based on the levels of DNA transcriptional regulation and mRNA and protein expression levels.[Results]Propolis water extract(PWE)could inhibit the cell proliferation and production of DNA damage in a dosedependent manner.Moreover,the propolis water extract could significantly downregulate the expression of iNOS-Luc,PTGS-2-Luc,and IL-8-Luc,and that it was related to the expression of the NF-κB family protein.After the induction of HeLa cells by propolis,the expression of the cell cycle inhibitor gene p21 was increased,while that of the cell proliferation gene Ki67 was decreased.[Conclusions]Propolis water extract could significantly inhibit the cell proliferation and production of DNA damage,suggesting propolis as a potential candidate for the development of adjunctive therapy against cervical cancer.Wenbin XU Yimeng GAO Nailong LIANG Ling ZHANG Shuang XING Wensong HAO Shaocong LI 2023Medicinal Plant2023,14,2:0

6Mitomycin C enhanced the efficacy of PD-L1 blockade in non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Programmed death ligand 1(PD-L1)immune checkpoint inhibitors are promising therapeutic agents for treating cancers but the response rate is<20%.Some chemotherapeutic drugs could also activate an anticancer immune response to kill cancer cells,apart from their direct cytotoxicity.Our study investigated the combination of chemotherapeutic drugs with PD-L1 antibody to enhance the response rate of PD-L1 blockade.Non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)cells were pre-treated with mitomycin C(MMC)and then co-cultured with peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)to investigate the effect of the combination of MMC with PD-L1 antibody.The drug combination was also evaluated in vivo in Lewis lung cancer(LLC)cells-bearing C57BL/6 mice.MMC increased the expressions of PD-L1 and MHC-I in NSCLC cells in vitro and in vivo and enhanced the cytotoxic effect of lymphocytes on NSCLC in vitro.In LLC-bearing mouse model,the combination of MMC and PD-L1 antibody was found to be more effective in retarding tumor growth and prolonging overall survival than either single treatment alone,which was associated with increased lymphocyte infiltration and granzyme B release.Mechanistically,MMC activated the ERK pathway,which subsequently enhanced the binding of c-JUN to the PD-L1 promoter and recruited its co-factor STAT3 to increase PD-L1 expression.The upregulated ERK pathway was shown to activate p65 to increase the MHC-I expression.MMC was shown to enhance the efficacy of PD-L1 blockade in NSCLC cells.Further study is warranted to translate the findings to clinical application.Min Luo Fang Wang Hong Zhang Kenneth KWTo Shaocong Wu Zhen Chen Shaobo Liang Liwu Fu 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:0
7Mutually testing source-device-independent quantum random number generator显示文摘Quantum random numbers have an incomparable advantage over pseudo-random numbers since randomness originates from intrinsic property of quantum mechanics.The generation rate and the security of quantum random numbers are two significant indicators of a quantum random number generator(QRNG)for practical applications.Here we propose a mutually testing source-device-independent QRNG by simultaneously measuring a pair of conjugate quadratures from two separate parts of an untrusted continuous-variable quantum state.The amounts of randomness of the quadratures can be mutually estimated by each other via entropic uncertainty principle.Instead of randomly toggling between the conjugate quadratures of one state for collecting different types of data,two quadratures can generate check data and raw bits simultaneously and continuously in this mutually testing manner,which enhances the equivalent generation rate of private random bits to around 6 Gbit/s with a 7.5 mW laser beam.Moreover,the overall security is also improved by adjusting the conditional min-entropy in real time according to the continually monitored fluctuations of the local oscillator and the randomly measured electronic noise of homodyne detectors.Jialin Cheng Jiliang Qin Shaocong Liang Jiatong Li Zhihui Yan Xiaojun Jia Kunchi Peng 2022Photonics Research2022,10,3:0
