1Graphene-and Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes-Coated Tapered Plastic Optical Fiber for Detection of Lard Adulteration in Olive Oil显示文摘A rapid and high-performance sensor for lard adulterant in edible oil was developed using the tapered plastic optical fiber(POF)coated with graphene and multi-walled carbon nanotubes.The coating material was deposited onto a tapered POF with a taper waist diameter and a taper length of 0.45 mm and 1 cm,respectively.The addition of the coating material was used to increase the sensitivity and selectivity coefficient of the tapered POF toward the lard substance.The sensing mechanism is based on a simultaneous interaction of lard substance and an evanescent wave of tapered POF with the coating layers.The results showed that graphene coating on the tapered POF increased the selectivity coefficient of the tapered POF towards lard substance from 33.54 to 324.19,and it gave a sensitivity of 0.427 dBm/%.In comparison,multi-walled carbon nanotubes coating increased the selectivity coefficient to 71.65 and increased its sensitivity to 1.189 dBm/%.Thus,the proposed configuration of the tapered POF with the coating material offered a simple configuration for a rapid,high sensitivity and selectivity detection of lard adulterant in edible oils.Ika PUSPITA Ninik IRAWATI Kartika Anoraga MADURANI Fredy KURNIAWAN Sekartedjo KOENTJORO Agus Muhamad HATTA 2022Photonic Sensors2022,12,4:2

17Heart Rate Monitoring Sensor Based on Singlemode-Multimode-Singlemode Fiber显示文摘The singlemode-multimode-singlemode(SMS)fiber structure for a heart rate monitoring is proposed and developed.An artificial electrocardiogram(ECG)signal is used to simulate the heart pulse at different rates ranging from 50 beats per minute(bpm)to 200 bpm.The SMS fiber structure is placed at the center of a loudspeaker and it senses the vibration of the pulse.The vibration of the pulse signal applied to the SMS fiber structure changes the intensity of the optical output power.The proposed sensor shows a linear frequency of the heart rate sensing range that matches well with the relevant heart rate from the artificial ECG.This work shows the capability of the SMS fiber structure monitoring the heart rate frequencies for a long term,high stability realization,and reproducibility,and being suitable for the observation in hospitals as well as in other environments.Ninik IRAWATI Agus Muhamad HATTA Yoseph Gita Yhun YHUWANA SEKARTEDJO 2020Photonic Sensors2020,10,2:0
18Impact of the virtual anti-hypertensive educational campaign towards knowledge,attitude,and practice of hypertension management during the COVID-19 pandemic显示文摘BACKGROUND One of the efforts to reduce hypertension rates in the community is through an educational campaign that refers to the NIH's National Heart,Lung,and Blood Institute curricula or abbreviated as NHLBI.However,during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,one of the hardest hit areas is health promotion,and there is a significant obstacle regarding the most effective way to transfer knowledge,attitude and practice towards society without transmitting the virus.AIM To evaluate the impact of the virtual anti-hypertensive educational campaign towards knowledge,attitude,and the practice of hypertension management in the primary care setting during the COVID-19 pandemic.METHODS An online action research with a randomized crossover-controlled trial using a pretest-posttest control group design.The study was conducted in October 2020-April 2021.The population in this study were patients with hypertension who were treated in the Mojo primary health care setting.A purposive sampling technique was done to receive 110 participants using an online questionnaire and invitation letter.RESULTS A total of 110 participants were included in the analysis,55 in the intervention group and 55 in the control group.Following the Virtual Anti-Hypertensive Educational Campaign implementation,the only parameter that showed significant improvement was knowledge and attitude(P<0.001).There is no significant change in the practice parameters(P=0.131).CONCLUSION The Virtual Anti-Hypertensive Educational Campaign implementation in our study population seems to be effective to improve knowledge and attitude of participants,nevertheless,this program seems to be ineffective to improve the practice of hypertension management aspect in participants.Future study with longer durations and more comprehensive programs need to be done to scrutinize the clinical impact of this program nationwide.Andrianto Andrianto Meity Ardiana Ricardo Adrian Nugraha Alqi Yutha Bagus Putra DharmaKhrisna Tony Santoso Putra Achmad Rizal Shahab Henny Andrianto Irawati Hajar Kikuko A'rofah Nurlina Puspitasari Maltadilla Ratu Hajjrin 2022World Journal of Cardiology2022,14,12:0
19Predictive value and applicability of ocular trauma scores and pediatric ocular trauma scores in pediatric globe injuries显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the predictive value and applicability of Ocular Trauma Score(OTS) and Pediatric Ocular Trauma Score(POTS) for closed and open globe injuries in the pediatric group.METHODS: A retrospective study of closed and open globe injuries in children age of 0-18-year-old between 2012-2019 was conducted.Medical records were collected,and injuries were classified using Birmingham Eye Trauma Terminology System(BETTS).The predictive value and applicability of both OTS and POTS to final visual acuity(VA) were analyzed.RESULTS: Of 84 patients,59(70.2%) presented with closed globe injuries(CGI) and 25(29.8%) with open globe injuries(OGI).The mean of initial VA was 0.832±0.904 log MAR.OTS and POTS was calculated.Initial VA(P<0.001) and traumatic cataract(P<0.001) were significantly associated with visual outcome,followed by organic/unclean wound (P=0.001),delay of surger y(P=0.001),iris prolapse(P=0.003),and globe rupture(P=0.008).A strong correlation between OTS and POTS and final VA(r=-0.798,P<0.001;r=-0.612,P<0.001) was found.OTS was more applicable in all age group of pediatric and in contrast to POTS,it was designed for 0-15 years old.POTS requires eleven parameters and OTS six parameters.Even though initial VA was not available,we could still calculate into POTS equation.CONCLUSION: OTS and POTS are highly predictive prognostic tools for final VA in CGI and OGI's in children.Yunia Irawati Lily Silva Ardiani Tjahjono Darminto Gondhowiardjo Annette K.Hoskin 2022International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2022,15,8:0
20CD4 cell activation with the CD8 marker and metallothionein expression in the gills of cadmium-exposed mosquito fish(Gambusia affinis Baird and Girard 1853)juveniles显示文摘This experiment aimed to determine how Cd exposure impacts CD4 cell activation,macrophage cells,pinocytosis activity,metallothionine expression,and Cd levels in juvenile Gambusia affinis gills.Four treatment groups were used,with one control and treatments A,B,C,and D at dosages of 0.03 mg/L,0.023 mg/L,0.015 mg/L,and 0.008 mg/L,respectively.The results showed that the number of CD4 with CD8 cell markers differed significantly from each treatment compared to the control(0.33%).The value in A,namely 0.54%,was the highest,followed by B,C,and D of 0.46%,0.44%,and 0.42%,respectively.The number of macrophages increased as the Cd level of the medium increased,as did the activity of pinocytosis.Furthermore,the immunofluorescence test on the gills with the Anti-MT Mouse and goat IgG fluoresce in Rhodamine on the gills showed that luminescence increased with increasing Cd levels in the gills.Similarly,the MT intensity increased at Cd-exposed gills as compared to the control.As the Cd level in the gills increased,the MT levels ascended significantly.Moh Awaludin Adam Agoes Soegianto Carolyn Melissa Payus Ach Khumaidi Ramli Ramli Ernawati Ernawati Irawati Mei Widiastuti Era Insivitawati Yenny Risjani 2022Emerging Contaminants2022,8,1:0
