1莲子壳提取物中黄酮类物质的抗氧化活性及结构初探显示文摘目的:研究莲子壳中的黄酮类化学成分及抗氧化活性。方法:莲子壳的60%乙醇提取物经过大孔树脂初步分离之后,采用Toyopearl HW-40S凝胶柱进一步分离得到了6个组分(LF-F1~LF-F6),再采用高效液相以及液质联用系统对其中的组分2(LF-F2)组成及结构进行分析,并采用化学发光法等方法研究了LF-F2的抗氧化活性。结果:莲子壳黄酮粗提物中总黄酮为94.1%;LF-F2中黄酮甙元是由槲皮素、杨梅黄酮、山奈酚、异鼠李素等组成的。LF-F2对超氧阴离子自由基、羟自由基以及对双氧水的清除作用的IC50分别为420、40、0.6μg/ml。结论:从莲子壳中鉴定出LF-F2中有芦丁存在。LF-F2具有很好的抗氧化效果,并存在剂量效应关系。黄迪惠 胡崇琳 Husam M Credy 谢笔钧 何慧 杨尔宁 2009食品科学2009,30,23:11
2Spatial landslide susceptibility assessment using machine learning techniques assisted by additional data created with generative adversarial networks显示文摘In recent years,landslide susceptibility mapping has substantially improved with advances in machine learning.However,there are still challenges remain in landslide mapping due to the availability of limited inventory data.In this paper,a novel method that improves the performance of machine learning techniques is presented.The proposed method creates synthetic inventory data using Generative Adversarial Networks(GANs)for improving the prediction of landslides.In this research,landslide inventory data of 156 landslide locations were identified in Cameron Highlands,Malaysia,taken from previous projects the authors worked on.Elevation,slope,aspect,plan curvature,profile curvature,total curvature,lithology,land use and land cover(LULC),distance to the road,distance to the river,stream power index(SPI),sediment transport index(STI),terrain roughness index(TRI),topographic wetness index(TWI)and vegetation density are geo-environmental factors considered in this study based on suggestions from previous works on Cameron Highlands.To show the capability of GANs in improving landslide prediction models,this study tests the proposed GAN model with benchmark models namely Artificial Neural Network(ANN),Support Vector Machine(SVM),Decision Trees(DT),Random Forest(RF)and Bagging ensemble models with ANN and SVM models.These models were validated using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUROC).The DT,RF,SVM,ANN and Bagging ensemble could achieve the AUROC values of(0.90,0.94,0.86,0.69 and 0.82)for the training;and the AUROC of(0.76,0.81,0.85,0.72 and 0.75)for the test,subsequently.When using additional samples,the same models achieved the AUROC values of(0.92,0.94,0.88,0.75 and 0.84)for the training and(0.78,0.82,0.82,0.78 and 0.80)for the test,respectively.Using the additional samples improved the test accuracy of all the models except SVM.As a result,in data-scarce environments,this research showed that utilizing GANs to generate supplementary samples is promising because it can improve the predictive capability of common landslide prediction models.Husam A.H.Al-Najjar Biswajeet Pradhan 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,2:5
3Photo-assisted electrochemical hydrogen evolution by plasmonic Ag nanoparticle/nanorod heterogeneity显示文摘Transition metal sulfide-based hydrogen evolution electrocatalysts still lag in catalytic activity due to the zero-deviated free energy of*H adsorption.Plasmonic metals bridge the gap between light utilization and plasmon-mediated redox reactions for substantially enhanced electrocatalytic activity.In this work,a strategic broadband light utilization heterostructure,composed of two distinct Ag nanostructures(discontinuous Ag nanorods and monodispersed nanoparticles),is achieved through in situ sulfurization and metal leaching.The heterostructure benefits the electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reactivity thanks to the localized surface plasmon resonance induced hot electrons injection and inter-gap electric fields revealed by the finite-difference time-domain simulation.Experimentally,the prudent heterostructured catalyst exhibits a significantly improved overpotential(at 10 mA cm−2)from 151 to 95 mV along with a Tafel slope from 74 to 45 mV dec−1 toward hydrogen evolution.Significantly,this instructional study sheds light on the design of hybrid photo-assisted electrocatalysts with cooperative effect of solar energy toward sustainable electrocatalysis.Hao Wu Husam N.Alshareef Ting Zhu 2019InfoMat2019,1,3:3

5LES-DEM simulations of sediment transport显示文摘In this work, a fully-coupled Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) model and Discrete Element Method(DEM) are used to simulate a unidirectional turbulent open-channel flow over the full range of sediment transport regimes. The fluid and particles are computed on separate grids using a dual-grid formulation to maintain consistency and avoid instability issues. The results of coupling the dispersed phase to a multiphase flow solver that uses volume-averaged Navier-Stokes equations are compared to those obtained from coupling through drag to a single flow solver. The current work also examines the applicability and limitations of lumping particles as a representative particle to reduce the cost of simulations. Insight to the impact of different turbulent events to the entrainment of particles is also given. The simulation results of sediment transport from both coupling techniques show good agreement with empirical formulas in the bedload regime, but under-predict sediment transport in the suspended load regime. In the suspended load regime, using partial coupling, the rate of sediment transport was found to be under-predicted as compared to full-coupling. The deviation in results in the suspended load regime was found to increase with increases in the applied shear stress. Both coupling methods revealed the same effect on the friction factor where friction increases in the bedload regime and decreases in the suspended load regime reaching a maximum at the transition between regimes. This result is contrary to past studies which have shown a discrete jump in the friction factor at the transition. Lumping particles as representative particles is shown to reduce the simulation cost by more than a factor of 5 when using a scaling factor of 2. 6Analytic Hierarchy Process for Evaluating Flipped Classroom Learning显示文摘In reality,the flipped classroom has gained popularity as a modern way of structuring teaching,where lectures move from in-class procedures to digitally-based assignments,freeing up the debate,and practice exercises class time.Therefore,it is essential to implement and analyze a way of teaching that will improve student performance.The paper aims to develop a model of the method of teaching science in Iraqi schools,and to assess whether teaching flipped classroom affects the achievement,motivation,and creative thinking of students by using the methodology of Multi-Criteria Decision Making(MCDM)in the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP).The AHP approach includes several steps,including setting assessment criteria and their weights,and by assessing the methodology of the flipped classroom as compared to the conventional cognitive learning process.An experiment was carried out in Iraqi secondary schools to examine the attitude of the students towards the subject of Chemistry.The findings have indicated that the students and teachers favored flipped classroom learning more than conventional cognitive learning.The study took the following parameters compared to the traditional approach:teaching techniques,learning flexibility,teaching aids effectiveness,student participation and working environment.This paper indicates that the teachers in Iraqi schools will be able to improve and do more preparation to shift towards flipped learning in the classroom.Husam Jasim Mohammed Hajem Ati Daham 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,3:2
7Design and development of a high-performance Ni-based superalloy WSU 150 for additive manufacturing显示文摘This research proposes a design and development strategy of a new nickel-based superalloy for additive manufacturing.A new Ni-based superalloy has been developed by the application of the combinatorial alloy development technique coupled with CALPHAD based solidification modeling by effectively suppressing the precipitation kinetics.The suppression of precipitation during processing paved a way for prevention of cracks during deposition.The new alloy 'WSU 150' revealed excellent room temperature mechanical properties with a yield strength of 867 MPa,an ultimate tensile strength of 1188 MPa,and an elongation of 27.9% in the as-deposited condition.The mechanical properties of the heat-treated alloy were improved significantly to 1114 MPa yield strength,1396 MPa ultimate tensile strength,and an elongation of 16.1%.Improvement in the mechanical properties is attributed to the additional precipitation and coarsening of γ’ and carbides during heat-treatment.Microstructural investigation of the alloy revealed spherical γ’ with a rippled size distribution from the center to the interdendritic region.The average size of the γ’ particles in the as-deposited condition was found to be around 48 nm in the interdendritic region.Heat-treatment promoted the coarsening of γ’ which is explained in the paper.Praveen Sreeramagiri Ajay Bhagavatam Abhishek Ramakrishnan Husam Alrehaili Guru Prasad Dinda 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,12:2

18Utility of recognizing early electrocardiogram changes in bronchogenic Takotsubo cardiomyopathy: A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Takotsubo cardiomyopathy(TCM) is a transient reversible systolic dysfunction,estimated to be the culprit in 1%-2% of patients presenting with clinical symptoms of acute coronary syndrome(ACS). TCM was previously thought to be indistinguishable from ACS on the basis of electrocardiogram(EKG) findings;many authors now describe specific EKG changes that distinguish TCM from ACS as well as aid in early recognition of TCM.CASE SUMMARY This unique case presentation illustrates an uncommon subtype of TCM, and very clearly exemplifies the specific EKG changes meant to aid in distinguishing TCM from ACS. A bronchogenic subtype of TCM has been proposed, given its prevalence and distinguishing features from TCM without pulmonary pathology;this case exemplifies that notion. The specific EKG changes of low QRS voltage and attenuation of the amplitude of the QRS complex are now being noted in the EKGs of TCM patients. This patient presented for worsening shortness of breath and increased productive cough; her EKG revealed ST elevations in leads V3-V6,and low voltage QRS complexes when compared to previous EKG from 12 wk ago; troponin peaked at 5.16 ng/mL. Left heart catheterization did not reveal significant lesions and left ventriculogram findings were consistent with TCM.Patient was treated for COPD exacerbation, her symptoms improved significantly; she was sent home on the appropriate medications.CONCLUSION This case exemplifies EKG changes noted in TCM patients who may aid in early detection and appropriate treatment of TCM.Maria Khan Husam Watti Khagendra Dahal Paari Dominic 2019World Journal of Cardiology2019,11,3:1
