1high-entropy silicide:(Mo_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)Ti_(0.2)W_(0.2))Si_(2)显示文摘A high-entropy metal disilicide,(Mo_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)Ti_(0.2)W_(0.2))Si_(2),has been successfully synthesized.X-ray diffraction(XRD),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX),and electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)collectively show the formation of a single high-entropy silicide phase.This high-entropy(Mo_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)Ti_(0.2)W_(0.2))Si_(2) possesses a hexagonal C40 crystal structure with ABC stacking sequence and a space group of P6222.This discovery expands the known families of high-entropy materials from metals,oxides,borides,carbides,and nitrides to a silicide,for the first time to our knowledge,as well as demonstrating that a new,non-cubic,crystal structure(with lower symmetry)can be made into highentropy phase.This(Mo_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)Ti_(0.2)W_(0.2))Si_(2) exhibits high nanohardness of 16.7±1.9 GPa and Vickers hardness of 11.6±0.5 GPa.Moreover,it has a low thermal conductivity of 6.9±1.1Wm^(-1) K^(-1),which is approximately one order of magnitude lower than that of the widely-used tetragonal MoSi_(2) and ~1/3 of those reported values for the hexagonal NbSi_(2) and TaSi_(2) with the same crystal structure.Joshua Gild Jeffrey Braun Kevin Kaufmann Eduardo Marin Tyler Harrington Patrick Hopkins Kenneth Vecchio Jian Luo 2019Journal of Materiomics2019,5,3:27
2卒中相关性肺炎的诊断卒中肺炎共识小组的推荐意见显示文摘背景和目的下呼吸道感染常并发于卒中并对转归造成不利影响。对于并发于卒中的下呼吸道感染性疾病,目前尚无公认的专业术语或诊断金标准,这导致临床诊疗和研究受到影响。本共识旨在提出急性卒中并发下呼吸道感染的标准化术语和可操作性诊断标准。方法对多个文献数据库进行系统检索,经过证据回顾和2轮讨论,最后于2014年9月在英国曼彻斯特召开共识会议,经75%以上共识小组成员达成一致意见后形成共识。结果达成的共识如下:(1)推荐使用卒中相关性肺炎(stroke-associated pneumonia, SAP )作为卒中发病后7 d内发生的下呼吸道感染性疾病的专业术语。(2)提议对 SAP 使用经过改良的美国疾病控制预防中心(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC)诊断标准:①很可能的 SAP:符合 CDC 诊断标准,但复查或动态监测胸部 X 片仍缺乏典型改变;②确诊的 SAP:符合 CDC 诊断标准,且胸部 X 片有典型改变。(3)关于白细胞计数或 C反应蛋白在 SAP 诊断中的作用证据有限。(4)其他生物学标记物(如降钙素原)的证据不足。结论提议根据 CDC 诊断标准对 SAP 的术语和诊断制定可操作性的共识标准,需要在卒中患者中进行前瞻性研究来确定其信度、效度以及对医生行为(包括抗生素选择)和临床转归的影响。Craig J. 6Teracluster LSSC-II--Its designing principles and applications in large scale numerical simulations显示文摘The teracluster LSSC-II installed at the State Key Laboratory of Scientific and Engineering Computing, Chinese Academy of Sciences is one of the most powerful PC clusters in China. It has a peek performance of 2Tflops. With a Linpack performance of 1.04Tflops, it is ranked at the 43rd place in the 20th TOP500 List (November 2002), 51st place in the 21st TOP500 List (June 2003), and the 82nd place in the 22nd TOP500 List (November 2003) with a new Linpack performance of 1.3Tflops. 8Microarray,SAGE and their applications to cardiovascular diseases显示文摘The wealth of DNA data generated by the human genome project coupling with recently invented high-throughput gene expression profiling techniques has dramatically sped up the process for biomedical researchers on elucidating the role of genes in human diseases. One powerful method to reveal insight into gene functions is the systematic analysis of gene expression. Two popular high-throughput gene expression technologies, microarray and Serial Analysis of Gene Expression (SAGE) are capable of producing large amounts of gene expression data with the potential of providing novel insights into fundamental disease processes, especially complex syndromes such as cardiovascular disease, whose etiologies are due to multiple genetic factors and their interplay with the environment. Microarray and SAGE have already been used to examine gene expression patterns of cell-culture, animal and human tissues models of cardiovascular diseases. In this review, we will first give a brief introduction of microarray and SAGE technologies and point out their limitations. We will then discuss the major discoveries and the new biological insightsthat have emerged from their applications to cardiovascular diseases. 11Safety and efficacy of ledipasvir/sofosbuvir on hepatitis C eradication in hepatitis C virus/human immunodeficiency virus co-infected patients显示文摘AIM To evaluate the safety and efficacy of ledipasvir/sofosbuvir on hepatitis C eradication in patients with hepatitis C virus(HCV)/human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) co-infection in an urban HIV clinic.METHODS A retrospective cohort study of 40 subjects co-infected with HIV-1 and HCV treated with the fixed-dose combination of ledipasvir and sofosbuvir for 12 wk from 2014 to 2016.All patients included were receiving antiretroviral therapy(ART) with HIV RNA values of 100 copies/m L or fewer regardless of baseline HCV RNA level.The primary end point was a sustained virologic response of HCV at 12 wk(SVR12) after the end of therapy.RESULTS Of the 40 patients enrolled,55% were black,22.5% had been previously treated for HCV,and 25% hadcirrhosis.The patients were on a wide range of ART.Overall,39 patients(97.5%) had a SVR 12 after the end of therapy,including rates of 97.1% in patients with HCV genotype 1 a and 100% in those with HCV genotype 1 b.One patient with HCV genotype 3 a was included and achieved SVR12.Rates of SVR12 were similar regardless of previous treatment or the presence of compensated cirrhosis.Only 1 patient experienced relapse at week 12 following treatment and deep sequencing didn't reveal any resistance associated mutation in the NS5A or NS5B region.Interestingly,7(17.5%) patients who were adherent to ART experienced HIV viral breakthrough which resolved after continuing the same ART regimen.Two(5%) patients experienced HIV-1 virologic rebound due to noncompliance with HIV therapy,which resolved after resuming the same ART regimen.No severe adverse events were observed and no patient discontinued treatment because of adverse events.The most common adverse events included headache(12.5%),fatigue(10%),and diarrhea(2.5%).CONCLUSION This retrospective study demonstrated the high rates of SVR12 of ledipasvir/sofosbuvir on HCV eradication in patients co-infected with HCV and HIV,regardless of HCV baseline levels,HCV treatment history or cirrhosis condition.The oral combination of ledipasvir/sofosbuvir represents a safe and well tolerated HCV treatment option that does not require modification for many of the common HIV ART.Occasional HIV virologic rebound occurred but later resolved without the need to change ART.Xiaoping He Lynne Hopkins George Everett Willie M Carter Cynthia SchroppDyce Khalid Abusaada Vincent Hsu 2017World Journal of Hepatology2017,9,30:2
12Update on novel endoscopic therapies to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease: A review显示文摘Endoscopic treatments for gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD) have become increasingly popular in recent years. While surgical intervention with the Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication remains the gold standard, two endoscopic interventions, specifically, are gaining traction in clinical use(Esophy X and Stretta). The Esophy X(Endo Gastric Solutions, Inc., Redmond, WA, United States) was developed as a method of restoring the valve at the GE junction through an endoluminal fundoplication(ELF) technique. Long-term data suggests that transoral incisional fundoplication(TIF) with Esophy X may be effective for symptom control and proton pump inhibitor reduction or cessation for up to 2-6 years. There is no evidence that Esophy X is more effective than surgical intervention. TIF may be most effective for patients with HH < 2 cm and Hill Grade I/II valves. Stretta(Mederi Therapeutics, Greenwich, CT, United States) was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2000. It delivers radiofrequency energy to the lower esophageal sphincter and gastric cardia. Published reviews of the literature are conflicted in their recommendations of Stretta in the management of GERD. The literature suggests that the Stretta procedure has an acceptable safety profile and may be effective in reducing symptom burden and quality of life scores up to 8 years post-intervention. However, there does not appear to be any sustained improvement in objective outcomes and there is no evidence that Stretta results in improved outcomes as compared to surgical intervention. Treatment modalities for GERD, as a field, suffer from a lack of standardization in primary and secondary outcomes. Although many studies have looked at health related quality of life, the tools used to do so are markedly heterogeneous.
