1Cold hardiness estimation of Pinus densiflora var. zhangwuensis based on changes in ionic leakage, chlorophyll fluorescence and other physiological activities under cold stress显示文摘Pinus densiflora var. zhangwuensis grows fast,and its drought and salinity resistance are better than Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica. We compared cold hardiness and mechanisms of cold hardiness between the two species, to provide a theoretical basis for promoting and applying P.densiflora var. zhangwuensis in cold regions. A cold stress experiment was carried out on 3-year-old plantlets of P.densiflora var. zhangwuensis and P. sylvestris var. mongolica after hardening at five temperature regimes, 5,-10,-20,-40, and-60℃, respectively. Some indices of needle samples for both species were measured, such as relative conductivity(REL), maximum photochemical efficiency(F_v/F_m), malondialdehyde(MDA), catalase(CAT), proline(Pro), soluble sugar(SS), and stomata density. REL and MDA values of both species after hardening had the same trend of increasing, but the trend was opposite in F_v/F_mvalue with increasing cold stress. Compared with P. sylvestris var. mongolica, the P. densiflora var. zhangwuensis had smaller increases in REL and MDA,and a smaller decline in F_v/F_mduring cold stress. Compared to the control, REL growth of P. densiflora var.zhangwuensis and P. sylvestris var. mongolica at-60℃ were 0.41 and 0.60, and MDA growth was 29.94 mol g^-1FW and 47.80 mol g^-1FW, and F_v/F_mdeclines were 0.08 and 0.27. Half-lethal temperatures(LT_50) calculated by logistic equation for P. densiflora var. zhangwuensis and P.sylvestris var. mongolica were-58.23 and-50.34℃,respectively. These data suggest that cold resistance of P.densiflora var. zhangwuensis is stronger than that of P.sylvestris var. mongolica. Cold-resistance mechanisms of the two species differed. In response to cold stress, P.sylvestris var. mongolica had strong osmotic adjustment ability because of higher Pro and SS content, while P.densiflora var. zhangwuensis had strong antioxidant ability due to stronger CAT activity. Stomata density and diameter of P. densiflora var. zhangwuensis were smaller, as were single leaf area and number of leaves per plant, both characteristics promoting survival in a cold environment.Greater shoot height and total biomass of seedlings of P.densiflora var. zhangwuensis might be another reason for its stronger cold tolerance.Peng Meng Xuefeng Bai Hongdan Li Xiaodong Song Xueli Zhang 2015Journal of Forestry Research2015,26,3:8
2Spatio-temporal Differentiation of Residential Land for Coastal Town: A Case Study of Dalian Jinshitan显示文摘Based on SPOT5 satellite remote sensing images and land use data in five time phases covering the period 1988–2012, the distribution characteristics, spatial differentiation processes, and driving mechanisms affecting the residential land of the Jinshitan Tourist Resort were studied. The work included a combination of GIS technology, adoption of the differentiation index D, and the multi-group differentiation-measure model D(m). The results provided a basis for the following conclusions: 1) From 1988 to 2012, the degree of differentiation of the rural residential land first decreased, and then increased. The general residential, commercial residential and garden-house land-types all showed declining trends, of which the garden-house type presented the most intense volatility. 2) The overall background of the traditional residential land type was gradually replaced by a new residential land type, and the total area of residential land increased year by year, significantly improving the overall residential conditions. The areas of the new residential land type showed growth, and were increasingly widely distributed in the coastal tourist resorts, transportation corridors, and scenic areas. 3) Government policy, social differentiation, market mechanisms, and individual choices(along with other factors) were mutually promoted, although still restrained. 3Enhanced treatment for cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury of puerarin loading liposomes through neutrophils-mediated targeted delivery显示文摘The recovery of blood circulation following cerebral infarction-associated thrombolysis brings new damage to the brain,which is cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury(CIRI).Inflammation is the main pathological mechanism of CIRI.The inflammatory response triggered by cerebral ischemia-reperfusion provides neutrophils with a special opportunity to facilitate drug delivery to the site of ischemic penumbra through the chemotaxis of inflammatory factors by neutrophils.Puerarin is an isoflavone derivative with a significant neuroprotective effect in vitro.But the blood-brain barrier(BBB)impedes its therapeutic efficacy on CIRI within the brain.Inspired by the pathological process,we have used neutrophils as carriers to enhance the BBB penetration of liposomes loaded with puerarin and improve the concentration of puerarin in the brain parenchyma in this study.These results showed that puerarin-containing liposomes were released in response to inflammatory conditions associated with brain injury to enhance the neuroprotection effect at the ischemic penumbra.Wei Liu Haowei Lu Xiaoyong Rao Xiang Li Hongdan Lu Feifei Li Yan He Riyue Yu Rongsheng Zhong Yao Zhang Xiaojian Luo Hongliang Xin 2021Nano Research2021,14,12:2

5Experimental study on the physico-mechanical properties of Tamusu mudstone — A potential host rock for high-level radioactive waste in Inner Mongolia of China显示文摘Tamusu mudstone, located in Bayin Gobi Basin in Inner Mongolia of China, has been selected as a potential host rock for high-level radioactive waste(HLW) disposal in China. A series of tests has been carried out, including X-ray diffraction(XRD) tests, scanning electron microscopy(SEM) tests, disintegration tests, permeability tests and triaxial compression tests, to estimate the physico-mechanical properties of Tamusu mudstone in this work. The mineral composition of Tamusu mudstone was analyzed and it was considered as a stable rock due to its low disintegration rate, i.e. approximately 0.11%after several wet/dry cycles. Based on the results of permeability test, it was found that Tamusu mudstone has a low permeability, with the magnitude of about 10—20m^(2). The low permeability makes the mudstone well prevent nuclide migration and diffusion, and might be influenced by temperature.The triaxial tests show that Tamusu mudstone is a stiff mudstone with high compressive strength, which means that the excavation disturbed zone would be smaller compared to other types of mudstone due to construction and operation of HLW repositories. 6Functional characterization of a biosurfactant-producing thermo-tolerant bacteria isolated from an oil reservoir显示文摘A Bacillus subtilis strain JA-1 isolated from an oil reservoir was studied.This strain is capable of growth and producing biosurfactant at a temperature of 60 oC.In nutrient medium it produced biosurfactant which reduced the surface tension from 68.2 mN/m to 28.3 mN/m,with the critical micelle concentration (CMC) of 48 mg/L.The measured surface tension indicated that the biosurfactant possessed stable surface activity at high temperature and a specific range of pH and salt concentrations.The results of thin layer chromatography (TLC) together with FT-IR showed that the metabolic product of strain JA-1 is a lipopeptide biosurfactant.The ability to growth at high temperature and to produce biosurfactant makes strain JA-1 promising for enhanced oil recovery.Wang Jing Ji Guang Tian Jing Zhang Hongdan Dong Hanping Yu Li 2011Petroleum Science2011,8,3:1

8Decentralized Optimal Control and Stabilization of Interconnected Systems With Asymmetric Information显示文摘The paper addresses the decentralized optimal control and stabilization problems for interconnected systems subject to asymmetric information.Compared with previous work,a closed-loop optimal solution to the control problem and sufficient and necessary conditions for the stabilization problem of the interconnected systems are given for the first time.The main challenge lies in three aspects:Firstly,the asymmetric information results in coupling between control and estimation and failure of the separation principle.Secondly,two extra unknown variables are generated by asymmetric information(different information filtration)when solving forward-backward stochastic difference equations.Thirdly,the existence of additive noise makes the study of mean-square boundedness an obstacle.The adopted technique is proving and assuming the linear form of controllers and establishing the equivalence between the two systems with and without additive noise.A dual-motor parallel drive system is presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm.Na Wang Xiao Liang Hongdan Li Xiao Lu 2024IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2024,11,3:0
9Maize cryptochromes 1a1 and 1a2 promote seedling photomorphogenesis and shade resistance in Zea mays and Arabidopsis显示文摘Maize growth and development are regulated by light quality,intensity and photoperiod.Cryptochromes are blue/ultraviolet-A light receptors involved in stem elongation,shade avoidance,and photoperiodic flowering.To investigate the function of cryptochrome 1(CRY1) in maize,where it is encoded by Zm CRY1,we obtained two Zm CRY1a genes(Zm CRY1a1 and Zm CRY1a2),both of which share the highest similarity with other gramineous plants,in particular rice CRY1a by phylogenetic analysis.In Arabidopsis,overexpression of Zm CRY1a genes promoted seedling de-etiolation under blue and white light,resulting in dwarfing of mature plants.In seedlings of the maize inbred line Zong 31(Zm CRY1aOE),overexpression of Zm CRY1a genes caused a reduction in the mesocotyl and first leaf sheath lengths due to down-regulation of genes influencing cell elongation.In mature transgenic maize plants,plant height,ear height,and internode length decreased in response to overexpression of Zm CRY1a genes.Expression of Zm CRY1a were insensitive to low blue light(LBL)-induced shade avoidance syndrome(SAS) in Arabidopsis and maize.This prompted us to investigate the regulatory role of the gibberellin and auxin metabolic pathways in the response of Zm CRY1a genes to LBL treatment.We confirmed a link between Zm CRY1a expression and hormonal influence on the growth and development of maize under LBL-induced SAS.These results reveal that Zm CRY1a has a relatively conservative function in regulating maize photomorphogenesis and may guide new strategies for breeding high density-tolerant maize cultivars.Xiaocong Fan Shizhan Chen Wenjing Wu Meifang Song Guanghua Sun Shuaitao Yao Weimin Zhan Lei Yan Hongdan Li Yanpei Zhang Lijian Wang Kang Zhang Liangliang Jiang Jianping Yang Qinghua Yang 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,4:0
10Characterization of microstructural features of Tamusu mudstone显示文摘Tamusu mudstone formation, located in the Alxa area in western Inner Mongolia, is considered a potential host formation for high-level radioactive waste(HLW) underground disposal in China. In this study, complementary analyses with X-ray diffraction(XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM), mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP), and N_(2) physisorption isotherm were conducted on the Tamusu mudstone to characterize its physical characteristics and microstructural features, such as mineral compositions and pore structure. Several minerals, including carbonates, feldspar, clays and analcime, were identified in Tamusu mudstone by XRD. Images from FE-SEM show that pores in the Tamusu mudstone were dominantly on nanometer scale and generally located within their mineral matrix or at the interface with non-porous minerals. The combination of the MIP and N_2 physisorption curves indicated that the Tamusu mudstone has diverse pore sizes, a porosity varying from 2.34% to 2.84%, and a total pore volume in the range of 0.0065—0.0222 cm^(3)/g with the average pore diameter ranging from 9.6 nm to 19.23 nm. The specific surface area measured by MIP(2.572—5.861 m^(2)/g) was generally higher than that by N_(2) physisorption(1.29—3.04 m^(2)/g), due to the pore network effect, pore shape(e.g. ink-bottle shape), or technique limits.
