Clinicopathological analysis of metaplastic meningioma: report of 15 cases in Huashan Hospital显示文摘Objective: Metaplastic meningioma is a rare subtype of benign meningiomas, classified as WHO grade I with well prognosis. Here we presented our experiences on 15 cases of metaplastic meningioma, to investigate the clinicopathological features, therapies and prognosis of these cases. Methods: 15 patients underwent surgical treatment for intracranial metaplastic meningioma between 2001 and 2010 at Neurosurgery Department of Huashan Hospital, Shanghai, China. The clinical data, radiological manifestation, treatment strategy, pathological findings and prognosis of all patients were analyzed retrospectively. Results: Among the 15 cases (10 males and 5 females), the age ranged from 22 to 74 years old (the mean age was 50.67-year old). The clinical manifestations include headache, dizziness, seizure attack, vision decrease, and weakness of bilateral lower limbs. All the patients received surgical treatment, combined with radiotherapy in some cases. In the follow-up period, recurrence occurred in 2 cases, of which 1 patient died of other system complications. Conclusions: Metaplastic meningiomas are characterized by focal or widespread mesenchymal differentiation with formation of bone, cartilage, fat, and xanthomatous tissue elements. Surgical removal is the optimal therapy, and the overall prognosis is well. But recurrence may occur in some cases, thus radiotherapy is necessary for such kind of patients. | Hailiang Tang Huaping Sun Hong Chen Ye Gong Ying Mao Qing Xie Liqian Xie Mingzhe Zheng Daijun Wang Hongda Zhu Xiaoming Che Ping Zhong Kang Zheng Shiqi Li Weimin Bao Jianhong Zhu Xuanchun Wang Xiaoyuan Feng Xiancheng Chen Liangfu Zhou | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,1: | 6
Carbonaceous Nanofibers-titanium Dioxide Nanocomposites: Synthesis and Use as a Platform for Removal of Dye Pollutants显示文摘A mild chemistry route was developed to prepare carbonaceous nanofibers-titanium dioxide(CNF-TiO_2) nanocomposites for removal of dye pollutants. In the process of the template-directed hydrothermal carbonization(HTC), ultrathin Te nanowires were adopted as templates and glucose as the carbon source, and TiO_2 was decorated on CNF via the hydrolysis of tetrabutyltitanate in the presence of CNF in ethanol. The as-prepared materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), energy-dispersive X-ray(EDX) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). SEM and TEM observations displayed that TiO_2 nanoparticles were anchored on the CNF. EDX and XRD data confirmed that the assynthesized samples were CNF-TiO_2, and TiO_2 belonged to anatase titania. Taking advantage of combined benefits of carbonaceous nanofibers and titanium dioxide, these CNF-TiO_2 nanocomposites exhibited higher removal efficiency in a short time and showed good reusability. It was showed that over 97% of Rhodamine B could be removed in 15 min without generating the solid and liquid wastes. The removal efficiency of dyes was still over 80% after reuse in five cycles. All the results demonstrate that the as-prepared CNF-TiO_2 composites are effective materials for fast and effective removal of dye pollutants and thus can provide a new platform for dye decontamination. | 郭洪影 JIANG Shan WANG Chaoyuan LI Shenwan FENG Jianjian 孙红梅 ZHU Hongda GUO Huiling LIU Mingxing SUN Honghao | 2019 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2019,34,2: | 3
Intraoperative ultrasound assistance in resection of intracranial meningiomas显示文摘Objective: Intracranial meningiomas, especially those located at anterior and middle skull base, are difficult to be completely resected due to their complicated anatomy structures and adjacent vessels. It's essential to locate the tumor and its vessels precisely during operation to reduce the risk of neurological deficits. The purpose of this study was to evaluate intraoperative ultrasonography in displaying intracranial meningioma and its surrounding arteries, and evaluate its potential to improve surgical precision and minimize surgical trauma. Methods: Between December 2011 and January 2013, 20 patients with anterior and middle skull base meningioma underwent surgery with the assistance of intraoperative ultrasonography in the Neurosurgery Department of Shanghai Huashan Hospital. There were 7 male and 13 female patients, aged from 31 to 66 years old. Their sonographic features were analyzed and the advantages of intraoperative ultrasonography were discussed. Results: The border of the meningioma and its adjacent vessels could be exhibited on intraoperative ultrasonography. The sonographic visualization allowed the neurosurgeon to choose an appropriate approach before the operation. In addition, intraoperative ultrasonography could inform neurosurgeons about the location of the tumor, its relation to the surrounding arteries during the operation, thus these essential arteries could be protected carefully. Conclusions: Intraoperative ultrasonography is a useful intraoperative technique. When appropriately applied to assist surgical procedures for intracranial meningioma, it could offer very important intraoperative information (such as the tumor supplying vessels) that helps to improve surgical resection and therefore might reduce the postoperative morbidity. | Hailiang Tang Huaping Sun Liqian Xie Qisheng Tang Ye Gong Ying Mao Qing Xie Mingzhe Zheng Daijun Wang Hongda Zhu Jianhong Zhu Xiaoyuan Feng Zhenwei Yao Xiancheng Chen Liangfu Zhou | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,3: | 3
Risk prediction models for lung cancer:Perspectives and dissemination显示文摘Objective: The objective was to systematically assess lung cancer risk prediction models by critical evaluation of methodology, transparency and validation in order to provide a direction for future model development. Methods: Electronic searches(including PubMed, EMbase, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science, the China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang, the Chinese BioMedical Literature Database, and other official cancer websites) were completed with English and Chinese databases until April 30 th, 2018. Main reported sources were input data, assumptions and sensitivity analysis. Model validation was based on statements in the publications regarding internal validation, external validation and/or cross-validation.Results: Twenty-two studies(containing 11 multiple-use and 11 single-use models) were included. Original models were developed between 2003 and 2016. Most of these were from the United States. Multivariate logistic regression was widely used to identify a model. The minimum area under the curve for each model was 0.57 and the largest was 0.87. The smallest C statistic was 0.59 and the largest 0.85. Six studies were validated by external validation and three were cross-validated. In total, 2 models had a high risk of bias, 6 models reported the most used variables were age and smoking duration, and 5 models included family history of lung cancer. Conclusions: The prediction accuracy of the models was high overall, indicating that it is feasible to use models for high-risk population prediction. However, the process of model development and reporting is not optimal with a high risk of bias. This risk affects prediction accuracy, influencing the promotion and further development of the model. In view of this, model developers need to be more attentive to bias risk control and validity verification in the development of models. | Wei Tang Qin Peng Yanzhang Lyu Xiaoshuang Feng Xin Li Luopei Wei Ni Li Hongda Chen Wanqing Chen Min Dai Ning Wu Jiang Li Yao Huang | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2019,31,2: | 2
Effects of inherent potassium on the catalytic performance of Ni/biochar for steam reforming of toluene as a tar model compound显示文摘Biochar supported nickel(Ni/BC)has been widely studied as a cheap and easy-to-prepare catalyst with potential applications in tar reforming during the gasification of low-rank fuels, such as brown coal and biomass. However, the role and behaviors of inherent K species, especially their interactions with Ni particles and the biochar support, are not well understood yet.In this work, three Ni/BC catalysts with varying K amount were prepared from raw,water-washed,and acid-washed biomass. They were used in steam reforming of toluene as a tar model compound to elucidate the effects of inherent K on the catalytic activity and stability.Detailed characterization indicated that K enhanced water adsorption due to its hydroscopicity and lowered the condensation and graphitization degrees of biochar, but the alteration to the electronic state of Ni was not observed. These effects together led to a temperature-dependent role of K.That is,at relatively low temperatures of 450 and 500℃,toluene conversion was increased in the presence of K,due to the increased concentration of adsorbed water around Ni particles.By contrast,at relatively higher temperatures of 550 and 600℃,although initial high activity was achieved,Ni/BC with K deactivated rapidly because of the accelerated consumption of the biochar support. | Chen Xu Zhenyi Du Shiqi Yang Hongda Ma Jie Feng | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,7: | 2
Specific biotests to assess eco-toxicity of biodegradable polymer materials in soil显示文摘Eco-toxicity investigation of polymer materials was considered extremely necessary for their potential menace, which was widely use as mulching materials in agricultural. In this study, polyethylene(PE),polystyrene(PS)and synthetic biomaterials-Ecoflex and cellulose were applying into soil cultivated with two potential indicator plants species:oat(A v ena sati v a)and red radish(Raphanus sativum).Variety of chemical, biochemical parameters and enzyme activity in soil were proved as effective approach to evaluate polymers phytotoxicity in plant-soil mesocosm. The F-value of biomass,pH,heavy metal and electoral conductivity of Raphanus behaved significant different from T0.Significant analysis results indicated biodegradation was fast in PE than PS,besides, heavy metals were dramatically decrease in the end implied the plant absorption may help decrease heavy metal toxicity. The increase value at T2 of Dehydrogenase activity(0.84 higher than average value for Avena&0.91 higher for Raphanus),Metabolic Index(3.12 higher than average value for Avena&3.81 higher for Raphanus)means during soil enzyme activity was promoted by biodegradation for its heterotrophic organisms’energy transportation was stimulated.Statistics analysis was carried on Biplot PC1(24.2%of the total variance),PC2(23.2%of the total variance),versus PC3(22.8%of the total variance),which indicated phosphatase activity and metabolic index was significant correlated, and high correlation of ammonium and protease activity.Furthermore, the effects were more evident in Raphanus treatments than in Avena, suggesting the higher sensitivity of Raphanus to polymers treatment, which indicate biodegradation of polymers in Raphanus treatment has produced intermediate phytotoxic compounds. | Haiyan Chen Fei Wang Huilun Chen HongDa Fang Weiying Feng Yuan Wei FanFan Wang HaiLei Su YiDong Mi Min Zhou XinRu Li Serena Doni Andrea Corti | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,7: | 2
On constant-round zero-knowledge proofs of knowledge for NP-relations显示文摘This paper considers the existence of constant-round zero-knowledge proofs of knowledge for NP under standard assumptions. By introducing a new interactive proof model, we construct a 3-round zero-knowledge proof of knowledge system for the NP-relation under the assumption that factoring is intractable. Our construction not only shows the existence of constant-round zero-knowledge proofs of knowledge, but also gives a positive answer to the open problem of the existence of 3-round zero-knowledge proofs for NP. | LI HongDa XU HaiXia LI Bao FENG DengGuo | 2010 | Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,4: | 1
Round-optimal zero-knowledge proofs of knowledge for NP显示文摘It is well known that all the known black-box zero-knowledge proofs of knowledge for NP are nonconstant-round.Whether there exit constant-round black-box zero-knowledge proofs of knowledge for all NP languages under certain standard assumptions is an open problem. This paper focuses on the problem and gives a positive answer by presenting two constructions of constant-round(black-box) zero-knowledge proofs of knowledge for the HC(hamiltonian cycle) problem.By the recent result of Katz, our second construction which relies on the existence of claw-free functions has optimal round complexity(5-round) assuming the polynomial hierarchy does not collapse. | LI HongDa FENG DengGuo LI Bao XUE HaiXia | 2012 | Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,11: | 1
Experimental Study on the Hydrodynamic Performance of a Heaving Buoy Assembled on a Net Cage Platform显示文摘To take advantage of the abundance of both fishery and wave energy resources in offshore sea areas,a novel floating platform with a heaving buoy-based wave energy converter(WEC)assembled with a set of net cages is presented in this work. The floating WEC system provides a power supply, while the net cages are used for aquaculture. It is designed to have an independent and self-operation breeding function. An experimental study is carried out to investigate the hydrodynamic performance of the device in a wave tank considering the factors of net cages, draft depth, and power take-off,and results show that these variables have significant effects on wave energy capture.Incident waves with short periods cause intense interactions that allow the device to undergo large relative motion. The draft depth could be determined according to wave period rather than wave height. This study also explores the response amplitude operator of the device and determines its resonance scope. The experimental results could provide reliable information for future studies on phase differences and the design of two-body WECs. | SHI Hongda DONG Xiaochen FENG Liang HAN Zhi | 2019 | Journal of Ocean University of China2019,18,5: | 1
Optimization of Sound Absorption and Insulation Performances of a Dual-Cavity Resonant Micro-Perforated Plate显示文摘This study investigates a dual-cavity resonant composite sound-absorbing structure based on a micro-perforated plate.Using the COMSOL impedance tube model, the effects of various structural parameters on sound absorption and sound insulation performances are analyzed. Results show that the aperture of the micro-perforated plate has the greatest influence on the sound absorption coefficient;the smaller the aperture, the greater is this coefficient. The thickness of the resonance plate has the most significant influence on the sound insulation and resonance frequency;the greater the thickness, the wider the frequency domain in which sound insulation is obtained. In addition, the effect of filling the structural cavity with porous foam ceramics has been studied, and it has been found that the porosity and thickness of the porous material have a significant effect on the sound absorption coefficient and sound insulation, while the pore size exhibits a limited influence. | Wei Chen Zhaofeng Guo Hongda Feng Sheng Hu Ling Lu Chuanmin Chen Xiaowen Wu Hao Cao | 2022 | Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2022,18,2: | 1
Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes loaded into a composite conduit promote functional recovery after peripheral nerve injury in rats显示文摘Complete transverse injury of peripheral nerves is challenging to treat.Exosomes secreted by human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells are considered to play an important role in intercellular communication and regulate tissue regeneration. In previous studies,a collagen/hyaluronic acid sponge was shown to provide a suitable regeneration environment for Schwann cell proliferation and to promote axonal regeneration. This three-dimensional(3D)composite conduit contains a collagen/hyaluronic acid inner sponge enclosed in an electrospun hollow poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)tube. However, whether there is a synergy between the 3D composite conduit and exosomes in the repair of peripheral nerve injury remains unknown. In this study,we tested a comprehensive strategy for repairing long-gap(10 mm)peripheral nerve injury that combined the 3D composite conduit with human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes.Repair effectiveness was evaluated by sciatic functional index, sciatic nerve compound muscle action potential recording, recovery of muscle mass, measuring the cross-sectional area of the muscle fiber,Masson trichrome staining, and transmission electron microscopy of the regenerated nerve in rats. The results showed that transplantation of the 3D composite conduit loaded with human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes promoted peripheral nerve regeneration and restoration of motor function, similar to autograft transplantation.More CD31-positive endothelial cells were observed in the regenerated nerve after transplantation of the loaded conduit than after transplantation of the conduit without exosomes, which may have contributed to the observed increase in axon regeneration and distal nerve reconnection. Therefore, the use of a 3D composite conduit loaded with human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes represents a promising cell-free therapeutic option for the treatment of peripheral nerve injury. | Haoshuai Tang Junjin Li Hongda Wang Jie Ren Han Ding Jun Shang Min Wang Zhijian Wei Shiqing Feng | 2024 | Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,4: | 0

Genetic Differentiation and Conservation of 14 Surviving Individuals of Euryodendron excelsum Endemic to China显示文摘Random amplification polymorphicDNA(RAPD)markers were used to assess the genetic variations and the evolutionary relationships among all 14 individuals of a critically endangered Euryodendron excelsum(Theaceae)population distributed in Ba Jia Zhen,Yangchun,Guangdong,China.Twenty-three random primers detected 156 sites, out of which 95(60.26%)were polymorphic loci. The number of the observed alleles was 1.6090,and the number of the effective alleles was 1.3471.Nei’s gene diversity was 0.1993,and Shannon index was 0.1534.A relatively high level of genetic variation was identified in E.excelsum.An unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean(UPGMA)tree established from Jaccard similarity coefficients suggested that 14 individuals were clustered into two subgroups and that the No.2 plant was genetically distant from the rest of the individuals. The UPGMA clustering was also supported by a principle components analysis of RAPD phenotypic data. The management and conservation strategy of E.excelsum was proposed based on our results. | Wang Ting Su Yingjuan Ye Huagu Ouyang Puyue Jiang Yu Sun Yufei Chen Guopei Deng Feng Zhang Hongda | 2006 | Frontiers in Biology2006,1,1: | 0
