| 1 | Study on the quantitative structureactivity relation-ship of C-10 substituted artemisinin(QHS)’s derivatives using rough set theory显示文摘The structure-activity relationship study of C-10 substituted artemisinin (QHS) derivatives that are used as antimalarial was performed with the RS (rough sets) method. An RS process is a concise nonlinear process, and it has broad application foreground in the data mining of nonlinear life courses. In this work, initially the parameters of C-10 substituted QHS’s derivatives were computed with the quantum chemistry method, and the information table was constructed from the parameters (condition attributes) and biological activity (decision attributes). Based on the analysis of rough set theory, the core and reduction of attributes sets were obtained. Then the decision rules were extracted and the struc-ture-activity relationship was analyzed. As a nonlinear system, RS theory can extract the special rela-tion in the database. It has the advantage of being nonlinear over multiple linear regression (MLR), principal component analysis (PCA), partial least square (PLS), etc., and the advantage of obtaining results with unambiguous physical meanings over artificial neuron networks (ANNs), etc. The result obtained in this study is instructive to the study of pharmacodynamics, resistance mechanism of QHS and development of QHS’s derivatives. | LIU Hao QU LingBo GAO HongBin WANG JinXiang HAN LiPing XIANG BingRen | 2008 | Science China Chemistry2008,51,10: | 5 |
| 2 | Enhanced photoelectrocatalytic degradation of ammonia by in situ photoelectrogenerated active chlorine on TiO_2 nanotube electrodes显示文摘TiO_2 nanotube(Ti NT) electrodes anodized in fluorinated organic solutions were successfully prepared on Ti sheets. Field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) were performed to characterize the TiNT electrodes. The linear voltammetry results under irradiation showed that the TiNT electrode annealed at 450°C presented the highest photoelectrochemical activity. By combining photocatalytic with electrochemical process, a significantly synergetic effect on ammonia degradation was observed with Na_2SO_4 as supporting electrolyte at pH 10.7. Furthermore, the photoelectrocatalytic efficiency on the ammonia degradation was greatly enhanced in presence of chloride ions without the limitation of pH. The degradation rate was improved by 14.8 times reaching 4.98 × 10^(-2) min^(-1) at pH 10.7 and a faster degradation rate of 6.34 × 10^(-2) min^(-1)was obtained at pH 3.01. The in situ photoelectrocatalytic generated active chlorine was proposed to be responsible for the improved efficiency. On the other hand, an enhanced degradation of ammonia using TiNT electrode fabricated in fluorinated organic solution was also confirmed compared to TiNT electrode anodized in fluorinated water solution and TiO_2 film electrode fabricated by sol–gel method. Finally, the effect of chloride concentration was also discussed. | Shuhu Xiao Dongjin Wan Kun Zhang Hongbin Qu Jianfeng Peng | 2016 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,12: | 2 |

| 5 | Conditional Deletion of Foxg1 Alleviates Demyelination and Facilitates Remyelination via the Wnt Signaling Pathway in Cuprizone-Induced Demyelinated Mice显示文摘The massive loss of oligodendrocytes caused by various pathological factors is a basic feature of many demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system(CNS). Based on a variety of studies, it is now well established that impairment of oligodendrocyte precursor cells(OPCs) to differentiate and remyelinate axons is a vital event in the failed treatment of demyelinating diseases. Recent evidence suggests that Foxg1 is essential for the proliferation of certain precursors and inhibits premature neurogenesis during brain development. To date, very little attention has been paid to the role of Foxg1 in the proliferation and differentiation of OPCs in demyelinating diseases of the CNS. Here, for the first time, we examined the effects of Foxg1 on demyelination and remyelination in the brain using a cuprizone(CPZ)-induced mouse model. In this work, 7-week-old Foxg1 conditional knockout and wild-type(WT) mice were fed a diet containing 0.2% CPZ w/w for 5 weeks, after which CPZ was withdrawn to enable remyelination. Our results demonstrated that, compared with WT mice, Foxg1-knockout mice exhibited not only alleviated demyelination but also accelerated remyelination of the demyelinated corpus callosum. Furthermore, we found that Foxg1 knockout decreased the proliferation of OPCs and accelerated their differentiation into mature oligodendrocytes both in vivo and in vitro. Wnt signaling plays a critical role in development and in a variety of diseases. GSK-3 b, a key regulatory kinase in the Wnt pathway, regulates the ability of b-catenin to enter nuclei, where it activates the expression of Wnt target genes. We then used SB216763,a selective inhibitor of GSK-3 b activity, to further demonstrate the regulatory mechanism by which Foxg1 affects OPCs in vitro. The results showed that SB216763 clearly inhibited the expression of GSK-3 b, which abolished the effect of the proliferation and differentiation of OPCs caused by the knockdown of Foxg1. These results suggest that Foxg1 is involved in the proliferation and differentiation of OPCs through the Wnt signaling pathway. The present experimental results are some of the first to suggest that Foxg1 is a new therapeutic target for the treatment of demyelinating diseases of the CNS. | Fuxing Dong Dajin Liu Feiyu Jiang Yaping Liu Xiuxiang Wu Xuebin Qu Jing Liu Yan Chen Hongbin Fan Ruiqin Yao | 2021 | Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,1: | 0 |
| 6 | Recycling of Mud Derived from Backwash Wastewater Coagulation as Magnetic Sodalite Sphere for Zn^(2+) Adsorption显示文摘Herein,we reported a method to prepare magnetic sodalite sphere by using the mud from backwash wastewater after polyaluminum chloride(PAC)coagulation. The results showed that approximately 100%of Fe in the wastewater was precipitated as flocculent iron mud(FM)by adding PAC.FM was converted to spherical magnetic sodalite(FMP)with a diameter of 3μm via a facile alkali hydrothermal method without adding Al/Si resources or reductant. The product FMP had the saturated magnetization of 10.9 emu g^(-1) and high Zn^(2+)adsorption capacity of 50.6 mg g^(-1).Without coagulation with PAC,the removal rate of Fe from the wastewater was only 92.7%,and the precipitated mud(RM)was converted to irregular particles(RMP),which had weak magnetic response and low capacity of Zn^(2+)adsorption comparing with FMP.With the method, the Fe in backwash wastewater was effectively recycled, and the generated sludge was converted to well-formed sodalite sphere without generating any secondary waste. | Suiyi Zhu Manhong Ji Hongbin Yu Zhan Qu Jiakuan Yang Mingxin Huo Yi Wang | 2021 | Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,9: | 0 |
