1Rice CYP703A3, a cytochrome P450 hydroxylase, is essential for development of anther cuticle and pollen exine显示文摘Anther cuticle and pollen exine act as protective envelopes for the male gametophyte or pollen grain, but the mechanism underlying the synthesis of these lipidic polymers remains unclear. Previously, a tapetum‐expressed CYP703A3, a putative cytochrome P450 fatty acid hydroxylase, was shown to be essential for male fertility in rice(Oryza sativa L.). However,the biochemical and biological roles of CYP703A3 has not been characterized. Here, we observed that cyp703a3‐2 caused by one base insertion in CYP703A3 displays defective pollen exine and anther epicuticular layer, which differs from Arabidopsis cyp703a2 in which only defective pollen exine occurs. Consistently, chemical composition assay showed that levels of cutin monomers and wax components were dramatically reduced in cyp703a3‐2 anthers. Unlike the wide range of substrates of Arabidopsis CYP703A2, CYP703A3 functions as an in‐chain hydroxylase only for a specific substrate, lauric acid, preferably generating 7‐hydroxylated lauric acid. Moreover, chromatin immunoprecipitation and expression analyses revealed that the expression of CYP703A3 is directly regulated by Tapetum Degeneration Retardation, a known regulator of tapetum PCD and pollen exine formation. 2Diffusion Bonding of Ti_3Al Base Alloy显示文摘: The effects of diffusion bonding temperature and holding time on the joint strength of Ti3Al base alloy has been investigated in this paper. The shear strength of Ti-14Al-21Nb-3Mo-V alloy diffusion bonding joint under pressure of 12 MPa at 990℃ for 70 min was obtained to 797.6 MPa which approaches the base material strength. In addition, a short-time diffosion bonding process was studied in order to decrease the bonding cost. 6Key drivers of changes in the sediment loads of Chinese rivers discharging to the oceans显示文摘The magnitude and variation of the sediment loads transported by rivers have important implications for the functioning of river systems and changes in the sediment loads of rivers are driven by numerous factors.In this paper,the key drivers of changes in the sediment loads of the major rivers of China are identified by reviewing recent studies of changes in their sediment loads.Except for the Songhua River,which presents no clear tendency of change in runoff or sediment load,nearly all the major rivers of China are characterized by an apparent decline in annual sediment load.The total annual sediment load of major Chinese rivers transported to the coast decreased from 2.03 billion t/yr during the period 1955 e1968 to 0.50 billion t/yr during the period 1997e2010.The primary drivers of changes in the sediment loads of the rivers are dam construction,implementation of soil and water conservation measures,catchment disturbance,agricultural practices,sand mining and climate change.Examples drawn from Chinese rivers are used to demonstrate the importance of these drivers.Construction of a large number of reservoirs in the Yangtze River basin represents the primary driver for the reduced sediment load of the Yangtze River.The implementation of soil and water conservation programmes is one of the key drivers for the sharp decline in the sediment load of the Yellow River.Catchment disturbance explains why the reduction of the sediment load of the Lancang-Mekong River at the Chiang Saen gauging station was much less than that at the Gajiu gauging station upstream.A reduction in sediment load resulting from the expansion of agricultural production may be the main driver for the reduced sediment load of the Huaihe River.The decrease in the sediment load of the Pearl River has been influenced by sand mining activities.Climate change is one of the key drivers responsible for the greatly reduced sediment load of the rivers in the Haihe River Basin.Cheng Liu Yun He Zhongwu Li Jia Chen Zhijing Li 2021International Journal of Sediment Research2021,36,6:1
7High performance 1 mm AlGaN/GaN HEMT based on SiC substrate显示文摘This is our first report on the high performance 1 mm AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistor(HEMT)which was developed using home-made AlGaN/GaN epitaxy structures based on SiC substrate.Metal-organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD)was used to generate the epitaxy layers.Corresponding experiments show that the device has a gate length of 0.8 mm exhibiting drain current density of 1.16 A/mm,transconductance of 241 ms/mm,a gate-drain break-down voltage larger than 80 V,maximum current gain frequency of 20 GHz and maximum power gain frequency of 28 GHz.In addition,the power gain under the continues wave condition is 14.2 dB with a power density of 4.1 W/mm,while under the pulsed wave condition,power gain reaches 14.4 dB with power density at 5.2 W/mm.Furthermore,the two-port network impedance characteristics display great potential in microwave application.Weijun LUO Xiaojuan CHEN Chengzhan LI Xinyu LIU Zhijing HE Ke WEI Xiaoxin LIANG Xiaoliang WANG 2008Frontiers of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in China2008,3,1:1
