1腰椎皮质骨椎弓根螺钉与传统椎弓根钉置钉点骨密度差异之比较显示文摘椎弓根螺钉目前广泛应用于治疗各种腰椎疾患,尽管其在重建腰椎稳定性方面优势非常明显,但螺钉松动、移位、拔出等并发症时有发生,不仅影响手术疗效,甚至还需要二次手术翻修。Santoni等于2009年提出皮质骨钉道(corticalbonetrajector,CBT)椎弓根螺钉(简称CBT螺钉)固定技术,其轴向拔出力较传统椎弓根螺钉平均提升30%,具有显露更少、切口更短、术后康复更快等优点。众所周知,骨密度(bonemineraldensity,BMD)与螺钉拔出力呈正相关。传统椎弓根螺钉末端常位于椎体中段松质骨内,随年龄增长,松质骨BMD下降,螺钉固定的风险增加并可最终导致螺钉松动。而CBT螺钉固定点位于椎弓根及椎体皮质骨中,理论上降低了螺钉松动的风险,即使是老年患者,其置钉位置的BMD也较传统椎弓根螺钉置入的椎体中部更能有效维持;而当获得与传统椎弓根螺钉相同或更好的机械稳定性时,CBT螺钉所需的长度也更短,这一点在骨量减少或骨质疏松患者的尸体研究中得到进一步证实。Mai HT Mitchell SM Hashmi SZ 胡玮 马向阳 2016中国骨科临床与基础研究杂志2016,8,5:21
2Ti-Mo-Sn合金显微组织、力学性能和形状记忆性能(英文)显示文摘研究Mo作为β相稳定元素,对Ti-Mo-Sn合金相组成、显微组织、力学性能和形状记忆性能的影响。通过电弧熔炼法制备不同成分的Ti-xMo-3Sn(x=2,4,6,摩尔分数,%)合金,并制备二元合金Ti-6Mo作为对照组。Ti-xMo-3Sn合金具有硬度低和韧性高(厚度可减少90%)的特点,而Ti-6Mo合金则表现出脆性行为,硬度高、韧性差。场发射扫描电镜(FESEM)下发现圆形的无热ω(ωath)析出相。X射线衍射结果也证实铸态和固溶处理-淬火态的样品中均存在ωath相。光学显微镜和FESEM结果显示,由于发生β→ω相变,淬火过程中形成的马氏体数量随着Mo含量的增加而降低。硬度的变化趋势也证实ωath相的存。Ti-6Mo-3Sn合金的形状记忆效应(SME)最高,为9%。合金SME较低是由于形成ωath相;然而,SME随着Mo含量的增加而增加,这是由于ωath相的逆相变和由压力引起的马氏体相变所致。另外,设计一种新的、非常简单的测量形状记忆效应的方法。Muhammad Luqman HASHMI Abdul WADOOD 2020Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2020,30,3:8
3轴流风扇“尖峰型”失速起始特征及其物理机制的实验及数值研究显示文摘为了探索风扇失速起始特征及诱因,采用动态流场测量试验与三维粘性流场数值模拟技术,对单级轴流风扇NPU-fan的'尖峰型'旋转失速流场和基本特征进行了研究。实验研究结果表明,轴流风扇NPU-fan在设计转速和非设计转速下均出现了典型的'尖峰型'全叶展失速的旋转失速现象,动态探针测量捕捉到了'尖峰型'失速先兆波及其特征,并且测量得到扰动波的初始转速均约为70%转速;三维流场计算表明,静子叶根角区失速会严重影响风扇的效率,但并未触发压气机的失稳。NPUfan风扇的失速情形符合Vo等提出的尖峰波失速先兆出现准则,是典型的叶尖区流动诱发的风扇/压气机失稳。强冠杰 乔渭阳 Hashmi S F 王良锋 时培杰 2017推进技术2017,38,3:7
4A new approach for real time object detection and tracking on high resolution and multi-camera surveillance videos using GPU显示文摘High resolution cameras and multi camera systems are being used in areas of video surveillance like security of public places, traffic monitoring, and military and satellite imaging. This leads to a demand for computational algorithms for real time processing of high resolution videos. Motion detection and background separation play a vital role in capturing the object of interest in surveillance videos, but as we move towards high resolution cameras, the time-complexity of the algorithm increases and thus fails to be a part of real time systems. Parallel architecture provides a surpass platform to work efficiently with complex algorithmic solutions. In this work, a method was proposed for identifying the moving objects perfectly in the videos using adaptive background making, motion detection and object estimation. The pre-processing part includes an adaptive block background making model and a dynamically adaptive thresholding technique to estimate the moving objects. The post processing includes a competent parallel connected component labelling algorithm to estimate perfectly the objects of interest. New parallel processing strategies are developed on each stage of the algorithm to reduce the time-complexity of the system. This algorithm has achieved a average speedup of 12.26 times for lower resolution video frames(320×240, 720×480, 1024×768) and 7.30 times for higher resolution video frames(1360×768, 1920×1080, 2560×1440) on GPU, which is superior to CPU processing. Also, this algorithm was tested by changing the number of threads in a thread block and the minimum execution time has been achieved for 16×16 thread block. 5Prediction of Hub Corner Stall Characteristics of a Highly Loaded Low Speed Single Stage Fan显示文摘In this paper a numerical investigation has been presented on the stall mechanism of a highly loaded Single Stage Low Speed Fan designed for the research test facility to be installed at North Western Polytechnic University (NWPU) Xi’an, China. The results presented are for the design point, near stall and just stall operating conditions at design speed. Design point studies have been found to be an indicative of stall area. Unsteady method of domain scaling has been used to compute the results at near stall and just stall conditions. It has been found that unlike the conventional tip leakage flow of the rotor, stator hub section is mainly responsible for the stall of the fan. The flow mechanism has been discussed with correlation to the design variables and previous investigations. Commercial CFD code NUMECA FINE/Turbo has been used for computations; results have been compared with results obtained from commercial CFD code ANSYS-CFX. 6Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis of different organic crude extracts from the local medicinal plant of Thymus vulgaris L显示文摘Objective:To isolate and analyze the chemical composition in different crude extracts of from the leaves of locally grown of Thymus vulgaris L(T.vulgaris)by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS).Methods:The shade dried leaves powder was extracted with methanol by using Soxhlet extractor.Methanol crude extracts of T.vulgaris and the derived fractions of hexane,chloroform,ethyl acetate and butanol were obtained.Results:Qualitative analyses of various organic crude extracts of T.vulgaris by using GC-MS showed that there were different types of high and low molecular weight compounds.Most of the isolated and identified compounds by GC-MS in the crude extracts are basically biologically important.Further,the T.vulgaris leaf possessed certain characteristics that can be ascribed to cultivation on a domestic plantation.The crude extracts were prepared from the powder leaves of T.vulgaris for respective compounds can be chosen on the basis of above GC-MS analysis.Conclusions:All the major compounds were identified and characterized by spectroscopic method in different organic crude extracts of T.vulgaris are biologically active molecules.Thus the identification of a good number of compounds in various crude extracts of T.vulgaris might have some ecological role.Laila Salim Al Hashmi Mohammad Amzad Hossain Afaf Mohammed Weli Qasim Al-Riyami Jamal Nasser Al-Sabahi 2013Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2013,3,1:4
7High-dose-rate intraluminal brachytherapy during preoperative chemoradiation for locally advanced rectal cancers显示文摘AIM:To determine the feasibility and safety of high dose rate intraluminal brachytherapy(HDR-ILBT) boost during preoperative chemoradiation for rectal cancer.METHODS:Between 2008 and 2009,thirty-six patients with locally advanced rectal cancer(≥ T3 or N+),were treated initially with concurrent capecitabine(825 mg/m2 oral twice daily) and pelvic external beam radiotherapy(EBRT)(45 Gy in 25 fractions),then were randomized to group A;HDR-ILBT group(n = 17) to receive 5.5-7 Gy×2 to gross tumor volume(GTV) and group B;EBRT group(n = 19) to receive 5.4 Gy×3 fractions to GTV with EBRT.All patients underwent total mesorectal excision.RESULTS:Grade 3 acute toxicities were registered in 12 patients(70.6%) in group A and in 8(42.1%) in group B.Complete pathologic response of T stage(ypT0) in group A was registered in 10 patients(58.8%) and in group B,3 patients(15.8%) had ypT0(P < 0.0001).Sphincter preservation was reported in 6/9 patients(66.7%) in group A and in 5/10 patients(50%) in group B(P < 0.01).Overall radiological response was 68.15% and 66.04% in Group A and B,respectively.During a median follow up of 18 mo,late grade 1 and 2 sequelae were registered in 3 patients(17.6%) and 4 patients(21.1%) in the groups A and B,respectively.CONCLUSION:HDR-ILBT was found to be effective dose escalation technique in preoperative chemoradiation for rectal cancers,with higher response rates,downstaging and with manageable acute toxicities.Mutahir Ali Tunio Mansoor Rafi Altaf Hashmi Rehan Mohsin Abdul Qayyum Mujahid Hasan Amjad Sattar Muhammad Mubarak 2010World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,35:3
8Malnutrition and liver disease in a developing country显示文摘Malnutrition is a highly prevalent and under recognized condition in developing countries of South Asia.The presence of malnutrition causes a severe impact on patients with liver cirrhosis.The etiology of cirrhosis differs in the South Asian region compared to the West,with hepatitis B and C still being the leading causes and the prevalence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease increasing over time.Comorbid malnutrition worsens outcomes for cirrhosis patients.Urgent attention to address malnutrition is needed to improve patient outcomes.The etiology and pathophysiology of malnutrition in liver diseases is multifactorial,as reduction in liver function affects both macronutrients and micronutrients.A need for nutritional status assessment for liver disease patients exists in all parts of the world.There are many widely studied tools in use to perform a thorough nutritional assessment,of which some tools are low cost and do not require extensive training.These tools can be studied and evaluated for use in the resource limited setting of a country like Pakistan.Treatment guidelines for proper nutrition maintenance in chronic liver disease exist for all parts of the world,but the knowledge and practice of nutritional counseling in Pakistan is poor,both amongst patients and physicians.Emphasis on assessment for nutritional status at the initial visit with recording of vital signs is needed.Simultaneously,treating physicians need to be made aware of the misconceptions surrounding nutritional restrictions in cirrhosis so that patient education is done correctly based on proper scientific evidence.Asra tus Saleha Siddiqui Om Parkash Syeda Amrah Hashmi 2021World Journal of Gastroenterology2021,27,30:3

10Degradation of malathion by Pseudomonas during activated sludge treatment system using principal component analysis (PCA)显示文摘Popular descriptive multivariate statistical method currently employed is the principal component analyses (PCA) method. PCA is used to develop linear combinations that successively maximize the total variance of a sample where th ere is no known group structure. This study aimed at demonstrating the performan ce evaluation of pilot activated sludge treatment system by inoculating a strain of Pseudomonas capable of degrading malathion which was isolated by enrichment technique. An intensive analytical program was followed for evaluating the effic iency of biosimulator by maintaining the dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration at 4.0 mg/L. Analyses by high performance liquid chromatographic technique revealed that 90% of malathion removal was achieved within 29 h of treatment whereas COD got reduced considerably during the treatment process and mean removal efficien cy was found to be 78%. The mean pH values increased gradually during the treatm ent process ranging from 7.36—8.54. Similarly the mean ammonia-nitrogen (NH3-N) values were found to be fluctuating between 19.425—28.488 mg/L, mean nitrite-n itrogen (NO3-N) ranging between 1.301—2.940 mg/L and mean nitrate-nitrogen (NO3 -N) ranging between 0.0071—0.0711 mg/L. The study revealed that inoculation of bacterial culture under laboratory conditions could be used in bioremediation of environmental pollution caused by xenobiotics. The PCA analyses showed that pH, COD, organic load and total malathion concentration were highly correlated and emerged as the variables controlling the first component, whereas dissolved oxyg en, NO3-N and NH3-N governed the second component.
