| 1 | Growth Characteristics and Reinforcing Behavior of In-situ NbCp in Laser Cladded Fe-based Composite Coating显示文摘Over the past decade,researchers demonstrated much interest in laser cladded metal matrix composite coatings for its good wear resistance.In this paper,in-situ NbCp reinforced Fe-based wear-resistance coatings with different designed NbC contents were produced by laser cladding.The formation mechanism of NbC particle was analyzed.The effects of NbC content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of coatings were investigated.It was revealed that α-(Fe,Cr),(Fe,Cr)_7C_3,NbC existed in all coatings.NbC particles formed by the chemical reaction of Nb and C dissolved in the molten pool.The increase of designed NbC content led to the growth of the porosity amount,and the increase of the size and the area ratio of the particle,as well as the transformation of the NbCp morphology from quadrangle to petaloid shape.Moreover,the micro-hardness and the wear resistance of the coating were improved with the increase of NbC.When NbCp content was 30 wt%,the mechanical properties decreased slightly. | Qingtang Li Yongping Lei Hanguang Fu | 2015 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,7: | 4 |
| 2 | Effect of quenching temperature on structure and properties of centrifugal casting high speed steel roll显示文摘The critical points and time-temperature-transformation(TTT)curves of the isothermal transformation diagrams for a high-speed steel casting on a horizontal centrifugal casting machine had been determined experimentally in the study.The effects of quenching temperature on the microstructures and properties of centrifugal casting high speed steel(HSS)roll has been investigated using scanning electron microscopy(SEM), light optical microscopy(LOM)and X-ray diffraction(XRD)as well as using tensile,impact,and hardness tests. The results show that the HSS roll has excellent hardenability and its matrix structure can be transformed into the martensite after being quenched in the sodium silicate solution.The retained austenite in the quenching structure increases and the hardness decreases when the quenching temperature exceeds 1,040℃.The tensile strength and impact toughness of HSS roll increase once the quenching temperature is raised from 980℃to 1,040℃.
