1Evaluation of mercury speciation and removal through air pollution control devices of a 190 MW boiler显示文摘Air pollution control devices(APCDs) are installed at coal-fired power plants for air pollutant regulation.Selective catalytic reduction(SCR) and wet flue gas desulfurization(FGD) systems have the co-benefits of air pollutant and mercury removal.Configuration and operational conditions of APCDs and mercury speciation affect mercury removal efficiently at coal-fired utilities.The Ontario Hydro Method(OHM) recommended by the U.S.Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) was used to determine mercury speciation simultaneously at five sampling locations through SCR-ESP-FGD at a 190 MW unit.Chlorine in coal had been suggested as a factor affecting the mercury speciation in flue gas;and low-chlorine coal was purported to produce less oxidized mercury(Hg2+) and more elemental mercury(Hg0 ) at the SCR inlet compared to higher chlorine coal.SCR could oxidize elemental mercury into oxidized mercury when SCR was in service,and oxidation efficiency reached 71.0%.Therefore,oxidized mercury removal efficiency was enhanced through a wet FGD system.In the non-ozone season,about 89.5%-96.8% of oxidized mercury was controlled,but only 54.9%-68.8% of the total mercury was captured through wet FGD.Oxidized mercury removal efficiency was 95.9%-98.0%,and there was a big difference in the total mercury removal efficiencies from 78.0% to 90.2% in the ozone season.Mercury mass balance was evaluated to validate reliability of OHM testing data,and the ratio of mercury input in the coal to mercury output at the stack was from 0.84 to 1.08.Chengli Wu Yan Cao Zhongbing Dong Chinmin Cheng Hanxu Li Weiping Pan 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,2:13
2WEAR FAILURE MECHANISM AND MULTI-IMPACT PROPERTY OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINE CHAIN显示文摘The multi-impact characteristics and failure mechanism of two kinds of automotive enginechain made in China are studied through engine assembly and road-drive tests. The worn surfacemorphologies of rubbing area between pin, bush and roller are also analyzed based on scanning elec-tron microscope. The results show that the main wear mechanism of automotive engine chain is fa-tigue wear, and its failure mechanism is the forming, extending and flaking of cracks on top layer ofpin and bush. In addition, the material, hot-treatment method and shaping technique for roller have agreat influence upon the resistance to multi-impact. 3Pre-impact trajectory planning for minimizing base attitude disturbance in space manipulator systems for a capture task显示文摘Aimed at capture task for a free-floating space manipulator, a scheme of pre-impact trajectory planning for minimizing base attitude disturbance caused by impact is proposed in this paper.Firstly, base attitude disturbance is established as a function of joint angles, collision direction and relative velocity between robotic hand and the target.Secondly, on the premise of keeping correct capture pose, a novel optimization factor in null space is designed to minimize base attitude disturbance and ensure that the joint angles do not exceed their limits simultaneously.After reaching the balance state, a desired configuration is achieved at the contact point.Thereafter, particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm is employed to solve the pre-impact trajectory planning from its initial configuration to the desired configuration to achieve the minimized base attitude disturbance caused by impact and the correct capture pose simultaneously.Finally, the proposed method is applied to a 7-dof free-floating space manipulator and the simulation results verify the effectiveness.Zhang Long Jia Qingxuan Chen Gang Sun Hanxu 2015Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,4:9
4A fast SVM training algorithm based on the set segmentation and k-means clustering显示文摘At present, studies on training algorithms for support vector machines (SVM) are important issues in the field of machine learning. It is a challenging task to improve the efficiency of the algorithm without reducing the generalization performance of SVM. To face this challenge, a new SVM training algorithm based on the set segmentation and k means clustering is presented in this paper. The new idea is to divide all the original training data into many subsets, followed by clustering each subset using k means clustering and finally train SVM using the new data set obtained from clustering centroids. Considering that the decomposition algorithm such as SVM light is one of the major methods for solving support vector machines, the SVM light is used in our experiments. 5Multi-slice CT angiography by triple-phase enhancement in preoperative evaluation of hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Background Triple-phase enhancement of multi-slice computed tomography (MSCT) has markedly improved the diagnostic accuracy of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and MSCT angiography (MSCTA) has been proved useful in detecting vascular anatomy noninvasively. This study aimed to explore the value of MSCTA by triple-phase enhancement in preoperative evaluation of HCC.Methods Fifty-six consecutive cases of primary HCC scheduled for resection were studied with MSCTA by triple-phase enhancement. The raw data images were processed on a workstation for multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction. The findings after processing of the data were compared with those after surgery or intraoperative sonography. Results The false positive rate of MSCTA by triple-phase enhancement was 10.1% and its false negative rate was 4.3% in detecting HCC. No significant difference was observed in MSCTA and surgery or intraoperative sonography in detecting vascular anatomy anomalies and pathologic variations, whereas significant difference was found in detecting bile duct invasion with MSCT compared to intraoperative sonography.Conclusions MSCTA by triple-phase enhancement not only improves the detection of HCC, but also provides valuable preoperative information about hepatic vascular architecture and parenchyma. 6EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON HIGH-SPEED CHARACTERISTICS OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINE OIL-PUMP CHAIN显示文摘The high-speed multi-cycle impact and speed, load fluctuant characteristics of a kind of narrow-width automotive engine oil-pump chain 06BN-1 are studied through engine assembly and road-drive tests to satisfy the light-weight demand of engine. The worn surface morphologies of rubbing area between pin, bush and roller are also analyzed based on scanning electron microscope. The results show that the main wear mechanism of automotive engine oil-pump chain is fatigue wear, and it's failure mechanism is the forming, extending and flaking of cracks on top layer of pin and bush. Pin and bush both occurred cycle-soften phenomenon, and roller occurred cycle-harden. Fretting wear is one of the most important 'fall to pieces' failure causes of automotive chain. 7POC fluxes from euphotic zone estimated from ^(234)Th deficiency in winter in the northwestern North Pacific Ocean显示文摘Dissolved and particulate 234 Th, particulate organic carbon(PON), nitrogen, and chlorophyll-a concentrations in the upper 200 m of water columns from seven stations in the northwestern North Pacific Ocean were determined in the winter of 1997.The dissolved, particulate, and total 234 Th activities (dissolved plus particulate)show a pronounced deficiency with respect to its parent 238 U in the euphotic zone whereas the total 234 Th shows a near-equilibrium at the depth greater than 100 m.The 234 Th data are used to derive the mean residence time, export fluxes of 234 Th, and fluxes of particulate organic carbon and nitrogen out of the euphotic zone. In the Subarctic Current area, the residence time of dissolved 234 Th with respect to its removal onto particles is 40 ~50 d while the residence time of dissolved 234Th in the subtropical area is about 20 d due to the Kuroshio’s influence.The particulate organic carbon(POC)and particulate organic nitroge(PON)fluxes in winter range over 3.8~8.2 and 0.50~0.98 mmol/(m2 ·d), respectively, and are higher in the west region than in the east, and higher in the south than in the north. The co-influence of Kuroshio-Oyashio Currents with supply of nutrient substances from the coastal area and the light condition are two factors determining the horizontal distribution of POC fluxes in winter.The depth distribution of the chlorophyll-a as well as the consistence of the ratio of POC to PON with the Redfield ratio suggest that phytoplankton is the main contributor to the export of POC in this area in winter.The POC fluxes in the northwestern North Pacific Ocean in winter are comparable to some areas in the world oceans in spring and summer seasons.YANGYongliang HANXu KUSAKABEMasashi 2004Acta Oceanologica Sinica2004,23,1:6
8Effects of Joint Controller on Analytical Modal Analysis of Rotational Flexible Manipulator显示文摘Modal analysis is a fundamental and important task for modeling and control of the flexible manipulator. However, almost all of the traditional modal analysis methods view the flexible manipulator as a pure mechanical structure and neglect feedback action of joint controller. In order to study the effects of joint controller on the modal analysis of rotational flexible manipulator, a closed-loop analytical modal analysis method is proposed. Firstly, two exact boundary constraints, namely servo feedback constraint and bending moment constraint, are derived to solve the vibration partial differential equation. It is found that the stiffness and damping gains of joint controller are both included in the boundary conditions, which lead to an unconventional secular term. Secondly, analytical algorithm based on Ritz approach is developed by using Laplace transform and complex modal approach to obtain the natural frequencies and mode shapes. And then, the numerical simulations are performed and the computational results show that joint controller has pronounced influence on the modal parameters: joint controller stiffness reduces the natural frequency, while joint controller damping makes the shape phase non-zero. Furthermore, the validity of the presented conclusion is confirmed through experimental studies. 9Real-time dynamic system to path tracking and collision avoidance for redundant robotic arms显示文摘An dynamic system for real-time obstacle avoidance path planning of redundant robots is constructed in this paper. Firstly, the inter-frame difference method is used to identify the moving target and to calculate the target area, then on the basis of color features and gradient features extracted from the target area, the feature fusion Cam-Shift mean shift algorithm is used to track target, improving the robustness of the tracking algorithm. Secondly, a parallel two-channel target identification and location method based on binocular vision is proposed, updating the target's three-dimensional information in real time. Then, a dynamic collision-free path planning method is implemented: the safety rods are removed through the intersection test, and the minimum distance is derived directly by using the coordinate values of the target in the local coordinate system of the rod. On this basis, the obstacle avoidance gain and escape velocity related to the minimum distance is established, and obstacle avoidance path planning is implemented by using the zero space mapping matrix of redundant robot. 10BMSCs-assisted injectable Col I hydrogel-regenerated cartilage defect by reconstructing superficial and calcified cartilage显示文摘The self-healing capacity of cartilage was limited due to absence of vascular,nervous and lymphatic systems.Although many clinical treatments have been used in cartilage defect repair and shown a promising repair result in short term,however,regeneration of complete zonal structure with physiological function,reconstruction cartilage homeostasis and maintaining long-term repair was still an unbridgeable chasm.Cartilage has complex zonal structure and multiple physiological functions,especially,superficial and calcified cartilage played an important role in keeping homeostasis.To address this hurdle of regenerating superficial and calcified cartilage,injectable tissue-induced type I collagen(Col I)hydrogel-encapsulated BMSCs was chosen to repair cartilage damage.After 1 month implantation,the results demonstrated that Col I gel was able to induce BMSCs differentiation into chondrocytes,and formed hyaline-like cartilage and the superficial layer with lubrication function.After 3 months post-surgery,chondrocytes at the bottom of the cartilage layer would undergo hypertrophy and promote the regeneration of calcified cartilage.Six months later,a continuous anatomical tidemark and complete calcified interface were restored.The regeneration of neo-hyaline cartilage was similar with adjacent normal tissue on the thickness of the cartilage,matrix secretion,collagen type and arrangement.Complete multilayer zonal structure with physiological function remodeling indicated that BMSCs-assisted injectable Col I hydrogel could reconstruct cartilage homeostasis and maintain long-term therapeutic effect.Hanxu Cai PeileiWang Yang Xu Ya Yao Jia Liu Tao Li Yong Sun Jie Liang Yujiang Fan Xingdong Zhang 2020Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,1:4

12A versatile photodetector assisted by photovoltaic and bolometric effects显示文摘The advent of low-dimensional materials with peculiar structure and superb band properties provides a new canonical form for the development of photodetectors.However,the limited exploitation of basic properties makes it difficult for devices to stand out.Here,we demonstrate a hybrid heterostructure with ultrathin vanadium dioxide film and molybdenum ditelluride nanoflake.Vanadium dioxide is a classical semiconductor with a narrow bandgap,a high temperature coefficient of resistance,and phase transformation.Molybdenum ditelluride,a typical two-dimensional material,is often used to construct optoelectronic devices.The heterostructure can realize three different functional modes:(i)the p-n junction exhibits ultrasensitive detection(450 nm-2μm)with a dark current down to 0.2 pA and a response time of 17μs,(ii)the Schottky junction works stably under extreme conditions such as a high temperature of 400 K,and(iii)the bolometer shows ultrabroad spectrum detection exceeding 10μm.The flexible switching between the three modes makes the heterostructure a potential candidate for next-generation photodetectors from visible to longwave infrared radiation(LWIR).This type of photodetector combines versatile detection modes,shedding light on the hybrid application of novel and traditional materials,and is a prototype of advanced optoelectronic devices.Wei Jiang Tan Zheng Binmin Wu Hanxue Jiao Xudong Wang Yan Chen Xiaoyu Zhang Meng Peng Hailu Wang Tie Lin Hong Shen Jun Ge Weida Hu Xiaofeng Xu Xiangjian Meng Junhao Chu Jianlu Wang 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:3
13Targeting integrin pathways:mechanisms and advances in therapy显示文摘Integrins are considered the main cell-adhesion transmembrane receptors that play multifaceted roles as extracellular matrix(ECM)-cytoskeletal linkers and transducers in biochemical and mechanical signals between cells and their environment in a wide range of states in health and diseases.Integrin functions are dependable on a delicate balance between active and inactive status via multiple mechanisms,including protein-protein interactions,conformational changes,and trafficking.Due to their exposure on the cell surface and sensitivity to the molecular blockade,integrins have been investigated as pharmacological targets for nearly 40 years,but given the complexity of integrins and sometimes opposite characteristics,targeting integrin therapeutics has been a challenge.To date,only seven drugs targeting integrins have been successfully marketed,including abciximab,eptifibatide,tirofiban,natalizumab,vedolizumab,lifitegrast,and carotegrast.Currently,there are approximately 90 kinds of integrin-based therapeutic drugs or imaging agents in clinical studies,including small molecules,antibodies,synthetic mimic peptides,antibody-drug conjugates(ADCs),chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)T-cell therapy,imaging agents,etc.A serious lesson from past integrin drug discovery and research efforts is that successes rely on both a deep understanding of integrin-regulatory mechanisms and unmet clinical needs.Herein,we provide a systematic and complete review of all integrin family members and integrin-mediated downstream signal transduction to highlight ongoing efforts to develop new therapies/diagnoses from bench to clinic.In addition,we further discuss the trend of drug development,how to improve the success rate of clinical trials targeting integrin therapies,and the key points for clinical research,basic research,and translational research.Xiaocong Pang Xu He Zhiwei Qiu Hanxu Zhang Ran Xie Zhiyan Liu Yanlun Gu Nan Zhao Qian Xiang Yimin Cui 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,2:3
14An extended Lagrangian support vector machine for classifications显示文摘Lagrangian support vector machine (LSVM) cannot solve large problems for nonlinear kernel classifiers. In order to extend the LSVM to solve very large problems, an extended Lagrangian support vector machine (ELSVM) for classifications based on LSVM and SVM light is presented in this paper. Our idea for the ELSVM is to divide a large quadratic programming problem into a series of subproblems with small size and to solve them via LSVM. Since the LSVM can solve small and medium problems for nonlinear kernel classifiers,the proposed ELSVM can be used to handle large problems very efficiently. 15N-doped residual carbon from coal gasification fine slag decorated with Fe_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles for electromagnetic wave absorption显示文摘The electromagnetic wave absorption(EMWA)performance of materials is affected by their dielectric and magnetic properties.Here,ferroferric oxide@N-doped residual carbon(Fe_(3)O_(4)@NRC)composites were successfully fabricated by decorating NRC with Fe_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles via a facile chemical co-precipitation method.The RC was obtained through acid treatment to remove the inorganic minerals in coal gasification fine slag.The structure,composition,thermal stability,morphology,and related EM parameters of the as-fabricated Fe_(3)O_(4)@NRC composites were thoroughly tested via analytical techniques.Notably,both the Fe_(3)O_(4)@NRC-2 and Fe_(3)O_(4)@NRC-3 composites exhibited superior EMWA capacity.When 40%mass was added,the value of minimal reflection loss(RL_(min))for Fe_(3)O_(4)@NRC-2 was-37.4 dB,and the effective absorption bandwidth(EAB,RL≤-10 dB)reached 4.16 GHz(13.84-18.00 GHz)at a thickness of 1.5 mm.Besides,the value of impedance matching was 1.00 as the RL_(min)was achieved.The results demonstrated that the EMWA performance of the composites could be adjusted by controlling the content of Fe_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles.The magnetic/carbon composites exhibited superior EMWA performance,thus promoting the resource utilization of residual carbon in coal gasification fine slag from coal gasification.Jun He Shengtao Gao Yuanchun Zhang Xingzhao Zhang Hanxu Li 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,9:3
16Flux mechanism of compound flux on ash and slag of coal with high ash melting temperature显示文摘The melting temperature of Z coal ash was reduced by adding calcium–magnesium compound flux(WCaO/WMgO=1). In the process of simulated coal gasification, the coal ash and slag were prepared. The transformation of minerals in coal ash and slag upon the change of temperature was studied by using X-ray diffraction(XRD). With the increase of temperatures, forsterite in the ash disappears, while the diffraction peak strength of magnesium spinel increases,and the content of the calcium feldspar increases, then the content of the amorphous phase in the ash increases obviously. The species and evolution process of oxygen, silicon, aluminum, calcium, magnesium at different temperatures were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). The decrease of the ash melting point mainly affects the structural changes of silicon, aluminum and oxygen. The coordination of aluminum and oxygen in the aluminum element structure, e.g., tetracoordinated aluminum oxide, was changed. Tetrahedral [AlO4] and hexacoordinated aluminoxy octahedral [AlO6] change with the temperature changing. The addition of Ca2+ and Mg2+ destroys silica chain, making bridge oxide silicon change into non-bridge oxysilicon;and bridge oxygen bond was broken and non-bridge oxygen bond was produced in the oxygen element structure. The addition of calcium and magnesium compound flux reacts with aluminum oxide tetrahedron, aluminum oxide octahedron and silicon tetrahedron to promote the breakage of the bridge oxygen bond. Ca2+ and Mg2+ are easily combined with silicon oxide and aluminum oxide tetrahedron and aluminum. Oxygen octahedrons combine with non-oxygen bonds to generate low-melting temperature feldspars and magnesite minerals, thereby reducing the coal ash melting temperatures. 17Dynamic mechanical loading facilitated chondrogenic differentiation of rabbit BMSCs in collagen scaffolds显示文摘Mechanical signals have been played close attention to regulate chondrogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs).In this study,dynamic mechanical loading simulation with natural frequencies and intensities were applied to the 3D cultured BMSCs–collagen scaffold constructs.We investigated the effects of dynamic mechanical loading on cell adhesion,uniform distribution,proliferation,secretion of extracellular matrix(ECM)and chondrogenic differentiation of BMSCs–collagen scaffold constructs.The results indicated that dynamic mechanical loading facilitated the BMSCs adhesion,uniform distribution,proliferation and secretion of ECM with a slight contraction,which significantly improved the mechanical strength of the BMSCs–collagen scaffold constructs for better mimicking the structure and function of a native cartilage.Gene expression results indicated that dynamic mechanical loading contributed to the chondrogenic differentiation of BMSCs with higher levels of AGG,COL2A1 and SOX9 genes,and prevented of hypertrophic process with lower levels of COL10A1,and reduced the possibility of fibrocartilage formation due to down-regulated COL1A2.In conclusion,this study emphasized the important role of dynamic mechanical loading on promoting BMSCs chondrogenic differentiation and maintaining the cartilage phenotype for in vitro reconstruction of tissue-engineered cartilage,which provided an attractive prospect and a feasibility strategy for cartilage repair.Wanxu Cao Weimin Lin Hanxu Cai Yafang Chen Yi Man Jie Liang Qiguang Wang Yong Sun Yujiang Fan Xingdong Zhang 2019Regenerative Biomaterials2019,6,2:3
18Powder Quartz/Nano-TiO2 Composite: Mechanochemical Preparation and Photocatalytic Degradation of Formaldehyde显示文摘Powder quartz(PQ)/nano-TiO_2 composite was prepared by a mechanochemical method. Based on as-prepared PQ/nano-TiO_2 composite, we prepared interior paints and investigated the degradation efficiency of formaldehyde(DEF). Scanning electron microscopy showed that nano-TiO_2 got well dispersed by the adding of PQ. Thermogravimetric analysis indicated that the mass ratio of 4:1 was a relatively good proportion for the most production of PQ/nano-TiO_2 composite. Fourier transform-infrared spectrometry showed that the peak position of Ti-O-Si bond varied with the milling time. At the early stage, no characteristic peak of Ti-O-Si bond was observed, while at the later stage, new peaks at 902 cm^(-1) and 937 cm^(-1) appeared. Meanwhile, PQ/nano-TiO_2 composite-based interior paint exhibited significant DEF of 96.3% compared to that consisting of sole nanoTiO_2 of 92.0% under visible light illumination. 19A class of binary MDS array codes with asymptotically weak-optimal repair显示文摘Binary maximum distance separable(MDS) array codes contain k information columns and r parity columns in which each entry is a bit that can tolerate r arbitrary erasures. When a column in an MDS code fails, it has been proven that we must download at least half of the content from each helper column if k + 1 columns are selected as the helper columns. If the lower bound is achieved such that the k + 1 helper columns can be selected from any k + r-1 surviving columns, then the repair is an optimal repair.Otherwise, if the lower bound is achieved with k + 1 specific helper columns, the repair is a weak-optimal repair. This paper proposes a class of binary MDS array codes with k 3 and r 2 that asymptotically achieve weak-optimal repair of an information column with k + 1 helper columns.
