1Advances in fabrication of ceramic corundum abrasives based on sol–gel process显示文摘Corundum abrasives with good chemical stability can be fabricated into various free abrasives and bonded abrasive tools that are widely used in the precision machining of various parts.However,these abrasives cannot satisfy the machining requirements of difficult-to-machine materials with high hardness,high strength,and strong wearing resistance.Although superhard abrasives can machine the above-mentioned materials,their dressing and manufacturing costs are high.By contrast,ceramic corundum abrasives fabricated by sol–gel method is a costeffective product between conventional and superhard abrasives.Ceramic corundum abrasives exhibit self-sharpening and high toughness.In this review,the optimization methods of ceramic corundum abrasive properties are introduced from three aspects:precursor synthesis,particle shaping,and sintering.Firstly,the functional mechanism of seeds and additives on the microstructural and mechanical properties of abrasives is analyzed.Specifically,seeds can reduce the phase transition temperature and improve fracture toughness.The grain size and uniformly dense structure can be controlled by applying an appropriate amount of multicomponent additives.Then,the urgent need of engineering application and machinability of special shape ceramic corundum abrasives is reviewed,and three methods of abrasive shaping are summarized.The micromold replication technique is highly advanced and can be used to prepare functional abrasives.Additionally,the influence of a new sintering method,namely,two-step sintering technique,on the microstructural and mechanical performance of ceramic corundum abrasives is summarized.Finally,the challenge and developmental trend of the optimization of ceramic corundum abrasives are prospected.Baoteng HUANG Changhe LI Yanbin ZHANG Wenfeng DING Min YANG Yuying YANG Han ZHAI Xuefeng XU Dazhong WANG Sujan DEBNATH Muhammad JAMIL Hao Nan Li Hafiz Muhammad ALI Munish Kumar GUPTA Zafar SAID 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,6:11
2赤霉素及噻苯隆处理对‘夏黑’葡萄果实品质的影响显示文摘松散的果穗有利于鲜食葡萄果粒的膨大和品质形成,还可减少果粒相互挤压破裂。但人工疏花和疏粒费时费力,成本高。为此,以4年生‘夏黑’葡萄为试验材料,调查赤霉酸(GA3)拉长穗轴效果,并探讨GA3和噻苯隆(TDZ)的保果和膨大处理对果实品质的影响。结果表明,在盛花前14 d用10~15 mg/L GA3溶液浸泡花穗可有效拉长花穗,满花时及花后10 d分别用25 mg/L GA3及25 mg/L GA3+3~5 mg/L TDZ溶液浸蘸拉长后的果穗,可提高坐果率和促进果粒膨大,增加粒质量、纵横径效果显著,但对果汁可溶性固形物积累有不良影响。赵茂香 郑伟尉 HAFIZ Umer Javed 2021中外葡萄与葡萄酒2021,,1:10
3N-acetylcysteine attenuates alcohol-induced oxidative stess in rats显示文摘AIM: To investigate free-radical scavenger effect of nacetylcysteine in rats intragastrically fed with ethanol.METHODS: Twenty-four rats divided into three groups were fed with ethanol (6 g/kg/day, Group 1), ethanol and nacetylcysteine (1 g/kg, Group 2), or isocaloric dextrose (control group, Group 3) for 4 weeks. Then animals were sacrificed under ether anesthesia, and intracardiac blood and liver tissues were obtained. Measurements were made in both serum and homogenized liver tissues.Malondialdehyde (MDA) level was measured by TBARS method. Glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels were studied by commercial kits.Kruskal-Wallis test was used for statistical analysis.RESULTS: ALT and AST in Group 1 (154 U/L and 302 U/L,respectively) were higher than those in Group 2 (94 U/L and 155 U/L) and Group 3 (99 U/L and 168 U/L) (P=0.001for both). Serum and tissue levels of MDA in Group 1 (1.84nmol/mL and 96 nmol/100 mg-protein) were higher than that in Group 2 (0.91 nmol/mL and 64 nmol/100 mg protein)and Group 3 (0.94 nmol/mL and 49 nmol/100 mg-protein)(P<0.001 for both). On the other hand, serum GSH-Px level in Group 1 (8.21 U/g Hb) was lower than that in Group 2(16 U/g Hb) and Group 3 (16 U/g-Hb) (P<0.001). 4Four-axis trochoidal toolpath planning for rough milling of aero-engine blisks显示文摘The Blade Integrated Disk(Blisk) is one of the key components in the aero-engine, it is generally manufactured by the multi-axis milling and almost 90% raw materials are removed. To avoid the full immersion of a cutter in the rough machining of a blisk channel, the trochoidal milling is a promising strategy since it can keep a small immersion angle in the rough milling process while maintaining the high machining efficiency. However, while toolpaths are being planned for the trochoidal milling process, the conventional methods are mainly for the planar machining area with fixed tool orientations, which cannot be used for complex channels where the multi-axis machining should be employed. To this end, this paper presents a four-axis trochoidal toolpath planning method with a ball-end cutter, and thus the blisk channel can be machined efficiently.For this to happen, the trochoidal paths are planned in the parametric domain and then mapped into the physical domain, with tool orientations controlled by the quaternion interpolation method to have smooth tool movement along the toolpaths. 5植物乳杆菌D1501发酵黄浆水的抑菌活性及其中细菌素的分离与鉴定显示文摘将植物乳杆菌D1501(Lactobacillus plantarum D1501)接种于黄浆水中,37℃静置培养24 h后制成酸浆。抑菌活性测定表明,该方法制备的酸浆对供试的革兰氏阳性菌、革兰氏阴性菌具有明显的抗菌活性,对假丝酵母有弱的抑菌活性,但对酿酒酵母和2株霉菌没有抑制作用。经中和及酶解实验推测酸浆中的抑菌物质为细菌素。将经过30、10、3 kDa超滤分离得到的无细胞超滤液旋蒸浓缩定容后,采用RESOURCE-Q阴离子交换柱和300SB-C18反相层析柱依次纯化,得到色谱纯度细菌素物质,命名为Lp100。该细菌素经液相色谱-串联质谱法分析,确定分子质量约为1434.90 Da,氨基酸序列为MCCKVLLLLSRR。最终细菌素比活力为7247.00 IU/mg,纯化倍数为79.94倍,回收率为1%。陆洲 戴意强 Hafiz Abdul RASHEED 吴寒 夏秀东 董明盛 2020食品科学2020,41,24:8
6A review on promising phytochemical, nutritional and glycemic control studies on Moringa oleifera Lam. in tropical and sub-tropical regions显示文摘Plants have provided sources to find novel compounds. These plants are being used as therapeutic purposes since the birth of mankind. The traditional healers normally utilize medicinal plants as crude drugs while scientists using the folk claim as guides to explore medicinal plants. Moringa oleifera is a famous edible plant having therapeutic and nutritive values. The present study was designed to cumulate the research data regarding to what extent, phytochemical, nutritional and glycemic control studies has been explored using its different extracts. The articles indicated that the powder, aqueous, methanol and ethanol extracts of Moringa oleifera(leaves, pods, seeds, stem and root bark) have significant therapeutic herbal potential to treat diabetes mellitus. Collectively, the mechanism behind is intestinal glucose inhibition, insulin release as well as decrease in insulin resistance probably regeneration of b-cells of pancreas, increase in glutathione and reduction in malondialdehyde. Conclusively, this article give descriptive information about antidiabetic effect, claimed marker compounds and proposed antihyperglycemic mechanism of a single plant. 8Effects of deep vertical rotary tillage on the grain yield and resource use efficiency of winter wheat in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain of China显示文摘Tillage represents an important practice that is used to dynamically regulate soil properties,and affects the grain production process and resource use efficiency of crops.The objectives of this 3-year field study carried out in the Huang-Huai-Hai(HHH) Plain of China were to compare the effects of a new deep vertical rotary tillage (DVRT) with the conventional shallow rotary tillage (CT) on soil properties,winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) grain yield and water and nitrogen use efficiency at different productivity levels,and to identify a comprehensive management that optimizes both grain yield and resource use efficiency in the HHH Plain.A split-plot design was adopted in field experiments in the winter wheat growing seasons of 2016–2017 (S1),2017–2018 (S2) and 2018–2019 (S3),with DVRT (conducted once in June 2016) and CT performed in the main plots.Subplots were treated with one of four targeted productivity level treatments (SH,the super high productivity level;HH,the high productivity and high efficiency productivity level;FP,the farmer productivity level;ISP,the inherent soil productivity level).The results showed that the soil bulk density was reduced and the soil water content at the anthesis stage was increased in all three years,which were due to the significant effects of DVRT.Compared with CT,grain yields,partial factor productivity of nitrogen (PFP_(N)),and water use efficiency (WUE) under DVRT were increased by 22.0,14.5 and 19.0%.Path analysis and direct correlation decomposition uncovered that grain yield variation of winter wheat was mostly contributed by the spike numbers per area under different tillage modes.General line model analysis revealed that tillage mode played a significant role on grain yield,PFP_(N) and WUE not only as a single factor,but also along with other factors(year and productivity level) in interaction manners.In addition,PFP_(N) and WUE were the highest in HH under DVRT in all three growth seasons.These results provided a theoretical basis and technical support for coordinating the high yield with high resource use efficiency of winter wheat in the resource-restricted region in the HHH Plain of China.WU Fen ZHAI Li-chao XU Ping ZHANG Zheng-bin Elamin Hafiz BAILLO Lemessa Negasa TOLOSA Roy Njoroge KIMOTHO JIA Xiu-ling GUO Hai-qian 2021Journal of Integrative Agriculture2021,20,2:7
9Milling Force Model for Aviation Aluminum Alloy: Academic Insight and Perspective Analysis显示文摘Aluminum alloy is the main structural material of aircraft,launch vehicle,spaceship,and space station and is processed by milling.However,tool wear and vibration are the bottlenecks in the milling process of aviation aluminum alloy.The machining accuracy and surface quality of aluminum alloy milling depend on the cutting parameters,material mechanical properties,machine tools,and other parameters.In particular,milling force is the crucial factor to determine material removal and workpiece surface integrity.However,establishing the prediction model of milling force is important and difficult because milling force is the result of multiparameter coupling of process system.The research progress of cutting force model is reviewed from three modeling methods:empirical model,finite element simulation,and instantaneous milling force model.The problems of cutting force modeling are also determined.In view of these problems,the future work direction is proposed in the following four aspects:(1)high-speed milling is adopted for the thin-walled structure of large aviation with large cutting depth,which easily produces high residual stress.The residual stress should be analyzed under this particular condition.(2)Multiple factors(e.g.,eccentric swing milling parameters,lubrication conditions,tools,tool and workpiece deformation,and size effect)should be considered comprehensively when modeling instantaneous milling forces,especially for micro milling and complex surface machining.(3)The database of milling force model,including the corresponding workpiece materials,working condition,cutting tools(geometric figures and coatings),and other parameters,should be established.(4)The effect of chatter on the prediction accuracy of milling force cannot be ignored in thin-walled workpiece milling.(5)The cutting force of aviation aluminum alloy milling under the condition of minimum quantity lubrication(mql)and nanofluid mql should be predicted.Zhenjing Duan Changhe Li Wenfeng Ding Yanbin Zhang Min Yang Teng Gao Huajun Cao Xuefeng Xu Dazhong Wang Cong Mao Hao Nan Li Gupta Munish Kumar Zafar Said Sujan Debnath Muhammad Jamil Hafiz Muhammad Ali 2021Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,1:7

12Nano-enhanced biolubricant in sustainable manufacturing:From processability to mechanisms显示文摘To eliminate the negative effect of traditional metal-working fluids and achieve sustainable manufacturing,the usage of nano-enhanced biolubricant(NEBL)is widely researched in minimum quantify lubrication(MQL)machining.It's improved tool wear and surface integrity have been preliminarily verified by experimental studies.The previous review papers also concluded the major influencing factors of processability including nano-enhancer and lubricant types,NEBL concentration,micro droplet size,and so on.Nevertheless,the complex action of NEBL,from preparation,atomization,infiltration to heat transfer and anti-friction,is indistinct which limits preparation of process specifications and popularity in factories.Especially in the complex machining process,in-depth understanding is difficult and meaningful.To fll this gap,this paper concentrates on the comprehensive quantitative assessment of processability based on tribological,thermal,and machined surface quality aspects for NEBL application in turning,milling,and grinding.Then it attempts to answer mechanisms systematically considering multi-factor influence of molecular structure,physicochemical properties,concentration,and dispersion.Firstly,this paper reveals advanced lubrication and heat transfer mechanisms of NEBL by quantitative comparison with biolubricant-based MQL machining.Secondly,the distinctive filmformation,atomization,and infiltration mechanisms of NEBL,as distinguished from metal-working fluid,are clarified combining with its unique molecular structure and physical properties.Furtherly,the process optimization strategy is concluded based on the synergistic relationship analysis among process variables,physicochemical properties,machining mechanisms,and performance of NEBL.Finally,the future development directions are put forward aiming at current performance limitations of NEBL,which requires improvement on preparation and jet methods respects.This paper will help scientists deeply understand effective mechanism,formulate process specifications,and find future development trend of this technology.Yanbin ZHANG Hao Nan LI Changhe LI Chuanzhen HUANG Hafiz Muhammad ALI Xuefeng XU Cong MAO Wenfeng DING Xin CUI Min YANG Tianbiao YU Muhammad JAMIL Munish Kumar GUPTA Dongzhou JIA Zafar SAID 2022Friction2022,10,6:5
13不同降水下覆盖与缓释肥减量对油菜土壤微生物群落结构的影响显示文摘为探讨沟垄集雨、秸秆覆盖和减量缓释肥集成技术对油菜土壤微生物群落结构的影响,在大田定位试验条件下,设置3种栽培方式(秸秆覆盖、沟垄集雨、传统平作)和4种施肥水平(习惯施肥、缓释肥减量20%、缓释肥减量40%、不施肥),比较分析2016~2017年(多雨年份)和2017~2018年(季节性干旱年份)这2种不同降水年型下油菜土壤微生物群落结构对集成技术的响应.结果表明,不同降雨条件下,秸秆覆盖+缓释肥减量20%(J80)与沟垄覆盖+缓释肥减量20%(M80)较习惯栽培(PC)更利于土壤微生物生长.在多雨年型和季节性干旱年型下,J80与M80能平均分别提高微生物量碳9.94%和10.32%;提高土壤微生物量氮2.38%和1.19%.多雨年型下,土壤微生物磷酸脂肪酸(PLFA)总量较干旱年型降低30.75%,覆盖能有效提高土壤PLFA质量摩尔浓度.多雨年型下土壤细菌、真菌PLFA质量摩尔浓度较干旱年型平均减少33.67%和53.21%;而放线菌PLFA增加13.04%.微生物群落对异常降水具有敏感响应.多雨气候会造成细菌/真菌升高;干旱气候则会增加直链饱和脂肪酸/直链单不饱和脂肪酸及直链单不饱和脂肪酸/环丙烷脂肪酸.通过秸秆覆盖与缓释肥的集成技术,能稳定异常降水下的土壤微环境,缓解水分和养分胁迫,为油菜稳产和可持续发展提供有效途径.冯军 石超 Hafiz Athar Hussain 刘永波 刘天朋 李永洪 刘俊峰 王龙昌 2022环境科学2022,43,8:4
14Electrostatic atomization minimum quantity lubrication machining:from mechanism to application显示文摘Metal cutting fluids(MCFs)under flood conditions do not meet the urgent needs of reducing carbon emission.Biolubricant-based minimum quantity lubrication(MQL)is an effective alternative to flood lubrication.However,pneumatic atomization MQL has poor atomization properties,which is detrimental to occupational health.Therefore,electrostatic atomization MQL requires preliminary exploratory studies.However,systematic reviews are lacking in terms of capturing the current research status and development direction of this technology.This study aims to provide a comprehensive review and critical assessment of the existing understanding of electrostatic atomization MQL.This research can be used by scientists to gain insights into the action mechanism,theoretical basis,machining performance,and development direction of this technology.First,the critical equipment,eco-friendly atomization media(biolubricants),and empowering mechanisms of electrostatic atomization MQL are presented.Second,the advanced lubrication and heat transfer mechanisms of biolubricants are revealed by quantitatively comparing MQL with MCF-based wet machining.Third,the distinctive wetting and infiltration mechanisms of electrostatic atomization MQL,combined with its unique empowering mechanism and atomization method,are compared with those of pneumatic atomization MQL.Previous experiments have shown that electrostatic atomization MQL can reduce tool wear by 42.4%in metal cutting and improve the machined surface Ra by 47%compared with pneumatic atomization MQL.Finally,future development directions,including the improvement of the coordination parameters and equipment integration aspects,are proposed.Wenhao Xu Changhe Li Yanbin Zhang Hafiz Muhammad Ali Shubham Sharma Runze Li Min Yang Teng Gao Mingzheng Liu Xiaoming Wang Zafar Said Xin Liu Zongming Zhou 2022International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2022,4,4:4
15Wind-induced hydrodynamic changes impact on sediment resuspension for large, shallow Lake Taihu, China显示文摘The internal sediment release is a key factor controlling eutrophication processes in large,shallow lakes.Sediment resuspension is associated with the wave and current induced shear stress in large,shallow lakes.The current study investigated the wind field impacts on sediment resuspension from the bottom at Meiliang Bay of large,shallow Lake Taihu.The impacts of the wind field on the wave,current,and wave-current combined shear stresses were calculated.The critical wind speed range was 4–6 m/s after which wave and current shear stress started to increase abruptly,and onshore wind directions were found to be mainly responsible for greater shear stress at the bottom of Lake Taihu.A second order polynomial fitting correlation was found between wave(R^2 0.4756)and current(R^2 0.4466)shear stresses with wind speed.Wave shear stress accounted for 92.5% of the total shear stress at Meiliang Bay.The critical wave shear stress and critical total shear stress were 0.13 N/m^2 for sediment resuspension whereas the current shear stress was 0.019 N/m^2 after which suspended sediment concentrations(SSC)increased abruptly.A second order polynomial fitting correlation was found between wave(R^2 0.739),current(R^2 0.6264),and total shear stress(R^2 0.7394)with SSC concentrations at Meiliang Bay of Lake Taihu.The sediment resuspension rate was 120 to 738 g/m^2/d during 4–6 m/s onshore winds while offshore winds contributed ≥ 200 g/m^2/d.The study results reveal the driving mechanism for understanding the role of the wind field in sediment resuspension while considering wind speed and direction as control parameters to define wave and current shear stresses.Abdul Jalil Yiping Li Ke Zhang Xiaomeng Gao Wencai Wang Hafiz Osama Sarwar Khan Baozhu Pan Salar Ali Kumud Acharya 2019International Journal of Sediment Research2019,34,3:4
16小麦秸秆发酵产生的真菌Pleurotus ostreatus IBL-02锰过氧化物酶的溶胶-凝胶固定化及其催化污水脱色(英文)显示文摘Solid state bio-processing of wheat straw was carried out through an indigenous fungal strain Pleurotus ostreatus IBL-02 under pre-optimized fermentation conditions. The maximum activity, 692±12 U/mL, of the industrially important manganese peroxidase (MnP) enzyme was recorded after five days of still culture incubation. The crude MnP was 2.1-fold purified with a specific activity of 860 U/mg after purification on a Sephadex-G-100 gel column. On native and SDS-PAGE electrophoresis gels, the purified MnP fraction was a single homogenous band of 45 kDa. An active fraction of MnP was immobilized using hydrophobic sol-gel entrapment comprising tetramethoxysilane (T) and propyltrimethoxysilane (P) at different T:P molar ratios. Characterization revealed that after 24 h incubation at varying pH and temperatures, the MnP fraction immobilized at a T:P ratio of 1:2 in the sol-gel retained 82% and 75% of its original activity at pH4 and 70 ℃, respectively. The optimally active fraction at a 1:2 T:P ratio was tested against MnSO4 as a substrate to determine the kinetic catalytic constants KM and Vmax . To explore the industrial applicability of P. ostreatus IBL-02 MnP, both the free and immobilized MnP were used for the decolorization of four different textile industrial effluents. A maximum of 100% decolorization was achieved for the different textile effluents within the shortest time period. A lower KM , higher Vmax , hyper-activation, and enhanced acidic and thermal resistance up to 70 ℃ were the novel catalytic features of the sol-gel immobilized MnP, suggesting that it may be a potential candidate for biotechnological applications particularly for textile bioremediation purposes.Muhammad Asgher Bazgha Aslam Hafiz Muhammad Nasir Iqbal 2013催化学报2013,34,9:4
17Shellfish allergy and relation to iodinated contrast media: United Kingdom survey显示文摘AIM: To assess current practice of United Kingdom cardiologists with respect to patients with reported shellfish/iodine allergy, and in particular the use of iodinated contrast for elective coronary angiography.Moreover we have reviewed the current evidence-base and guidelines available in this area.METHODS: A questionnaire survey was send to 500senior United Kingdom cardiologists(almost 50% cardiologists registered with British Cardiovascular Society)using email and first 100 responses used to analyze practise. We involved cardiologists performing coronary angiograms routinely both at secondary and tertiary centres. Three specific questions relating to allergy were asked:(1) History of shellfish/iodine allergy in pre-angiography assessment;(2) Treatments offeredfor shellfish/iodine allergy individuals; and(3) Any specific treatment protocol for shellfish/iodine allergy cases. We aimed to establish routine practice in United Kingdom for patients undergoing elective coronary angiography. We also performed comprehensive PubMed search for the available evidence of relationship between shellfish/iodine allergy and contrast media.RESULTS: A total of 100 responses were received, representing 20% of all United Kingdom cardiologists. Ninety-three replies were received from consultant cardiologists, 4 from non-consultant grades and 3 from cardiology specialist nurses. Amongst the respondents, 66% routinely asked about a previous history of shellfish/iodine allergy. Fifty-six percent would pre-treat these patients with steroids and anti-histamines. The other 44% do nothing, or do nonspecific testing based on their personal experience as following:(1) Skin test with 1 mL of subcutaneous contrast before intravenous contrast;(2) Test dose 2 mL contrast before coronary injection;(3) Close observation for shellfish allergy patients; and(4) Minimal evidence that the steroid and anti-histamine regime is effective but it makes us feel better.CONCLUSION: There is no evidence that allergy to shellfish alters the risk of reaction to intravenous contrast more than any other allergy and asking about such allergies in pre-angiogram assessment will not provide any additional information except propagating the myth.Mudassar Baig Ahmad Farag Jamal Sajid Rahul Potluri R Bruce Irwin Hafiz Mohammed Idrees Khalid 2014World Journal of Cardiology2014,6,3:3

19链霉素和赤霉素诱导欧亚种葡萄‘玫瑰香’无核结实的效果及机制研究显示文摘【目的】探讨链霉素(SM)及赤霉素(GAs)诱导欧亚种葡萄有核品种无核结实的可行性及其诱导无核结实的机制。【方法】以8 a(年)生欧亚种葡萄有核品种‘玫瑰香’为实验材料,在满花前11 d至满花后4 d的2周期间用SM 200mg·L^-1、GAs40 mg·L^-1水溶液分别浸蘸花穗,探讨适宜使用时期。在满花当日用不同浓度SM、GAs及SM和GAs的混合液浸蘸花穗,探讨适宜使用浓度,并和GA3处理作了比较。所有处理花后2周再次用25 mg·L^-1的GAs溶液浸蘸果穗促进果粒膨大。【结果】从满花前7 d到满花后4 d期间用SM 200 mg·L^-1浸蘸花穗,各处理无核率都达100%。满花当日使用SM 50 mg·L^-1和100 mg·L^-1处理的无核率接近100%,SM 200 mg·L^-1+GAs25 mg·L^-1和SM 200 mg·L^-1+GAs40mg·L^-1无核率也达100%。但同期的GAs和GA3处理无核率较低。切片观察发现,SM各处理虽然使柱头花粉粒萌发及花粉管在雌蕊各部位的伸长都受到抑制,但到达珠孔的花粉管数目仍有0.8~1.4个(对照3.8个)。而满花当日的正常胚珠率、胚囊率却低于16.6%(对照为94.17%)。【结论】满花前1周至满花后4 d期间,SM 200 mg·L^-1单用或添加GAs25 mg·L^-1的水溶液浸蘸葡萄的花穗可以有效诱导欧亚种葡萄的无核结实。SM处理后雌蕊的胚珠和胚囊发育异常,是其诱导无核结实的主要原因。赤霉素对欧亚种葡萄的无核效果较差,有待进一步研究。赵茂香 郑伟尉 Hafiz Umer Javed 王世平 2020果树学报2020,37,6:3
20Fabrication and characterization of affordable hydrophobic ceramic hollow fibre membrane for contacting processes显示文摘Affordable hydrophobic hollow fibre membranes were prepared using kaolin and alumina based ceramic powders via a combined phase inversion and sintering technique,followed by a grafting with fluoroalkylsilane(FAS).The crux of the matter in this paper is to study the changes in the properties of the hollow fibre membranes(gas permeation,mechanical strength,pore size,porosity,tortuosity,morphology,and contact angle)by the addition of alumina(Al2O3)to the pure kaolin with mono or multiparticle sizes.By varying the overall loading and particle size of alumina addition,different morphologies of the membranes were obtained due to the differences in the path lengths during phase inversion process for each solvent and nonsolvent exchange.The successful grafting with FAS was evidenced by the increase in contact angle from nearly equal to zero degree before grafting to 140°after grafting.Kaolin-alumina-4,one of the hollow fibres fabricated in this work,achieved a mean pore size of 0.25μm with the bending strength of 96.4 MPa and high nitrogen permeance of 2.3×10^(-5) mol·m^(-2)·Pa^(-1)·s^(-1),which makes the hollow fibre most suitable for the membrane contactor application.Mohammed Abdulmunem ABDULHAMEED Mohd Hafiz Dzarfan OTHMAN Haider Nadhom Azziz Al JODA Ahmad Fauzi ISMAIL Takeshi MATSUURA Zawati HARUN Mukhlis A.RAHMAN Mohd Hafiz PUTEH Juhana JAAFAR 2017Journal of Advanced Ceramics2017,6,4:3
