| 2 | Hydrothermal Synthesis of Orthorhombic LiMnO_(2)Nano-Particles and LiMnO_(2)Nanorods and Comparison of their Electrochemical Performances显示文摘Orthorhombic LiMnO_(2)nanoparticles and LiMnO_(2)nanorods have been synthesized by hydrothermal methods.LiMnO_(2)nanoparticles were synthesized by simple one-step hydrothermal method.To obtain rod-like LiMnO_(2),γ-MnOOH nanorods were first synthesized and then the H+ions were completely replaced by Li+resulting in LiMnO_(2)nanorods.Their electrochemical performances were thoroughly investigated by galvanostatic tests.Although the LiMnO_(2)nanoparticles have smaller size than LiMnO_(2)nanorods,the latter exhibited higher discharge capacity and better cyclability.For example,the discharge capacities of LiMnO_(2)nanorods reached 200 mA·h/g over many cycles and remained above 180 mA·h/g after 30 cycles.However,the maximum capacity of LiMnO_(2)nanoparticles was only 170 mA·h/g and quickly decreased to 110 mA·h/g after 30 cycles.Nanorods with one-dimensional electronic pathways favor the transport of electrons along the length direction and accommodate volume changes resulting from charge/discharge processes.Thus the morphology of LiMnO_(2)may play an important role in electrochemical performance. | Xiaoling Xiao Li Wang Dingsheng Wang Xiangming He Qing Peng Yadong Li | 2009 | Nano Research2009,2,12: | 8 |
| 3 | Internal short circuit detection method for battery pack based on circuit topology显示文摘Internal short circuit(ISCr) is one of the major obstacles to the improvement of the battery safety. The ISCr may lead to the battery thermal runaway and is hard to be detected in the early stage. In this work, a new ISCr detection method based on the symmetrical loop circuit topology(SLCT) is introduced. The SLCT ensures that every battery has the same priority in the circuit and every battery will contribute the same amount of short-circuit current to the ISCr once the ISCr happens. The ISCr battery could be identified by the combination of the ratio of the short-circuit currents and the sign of the short-circuit currents. The recursive least square method is adopted for the real-time application and the optimized ammeters allocation is derived from the mathematic deduction. The battery pack based on the individual DP(dual polarization) battery model is established to verify the ISCr detection method. The 1–1000 Ω s ISCr(the early stage ISCr) can be effectively detected within 1–125 s. The SLCT provides the possibility of new battery pack designs and new battery management methods. | 6 | Micromorphological Features of Diagnostic Horizons in Several soils in Southwest China: Implication for Soil Taxonomic Classification显示文摘The comparative studies on micromorphological features in diagnostic horizons of Stagnic Anthrosols, Ustic Ferrosols and Ustic Vertosols in southwestern China were conducted to underpin the rationale for Chinese Soil Taxonomy. | 8 | Effect of direct current pulse stimulating acupoints of JiaJi (T10-L3) and Ciliao (BL 32) with Han's Acupoint Nerve Stimulator on labour pain in women: a randomized controlled clinical study显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To assess the clinical effect and safety of direct current(DC) pulse produced by Han's Acupoint Nerve Stimulator in reduction(HANS) of labor pain.METHODS: Totally 120 participants were enrolled in this clinical trial, and were randomly divided into4 groups including: HANS group, patient controlled intravenous analgesia(PCIA) group, patient-controlled epidural analgesia(PCEA) group and control group. The HANS group was treated by stimulating the acupoints of Jia Ji(T10-L3) and Ciliao(BL 32)with DC pulse of 100 Hz and 15-30 m A produced by a portable battery-powered Han's Acupoint Nerve Stimulator for 30 min. The PCIA group was intravenously infused Ondansetron(8 mg) for 5 min,then tramadol injection(1.5 mg/kg) was slowly dripped by using Baxter APⅡ electronic pump with50 m L tramadol(0.70%) + ondansetron(8 mg),background infusion 2 m L/h, PCA dose of 2 m L,lockout interval of 10 min. In PCEA group, women received intrathecal injection ropivacaine(3 mg) in L2-3, and epidural catheter was connected to Baxter APⅡ electronic pump, with 100 m L Ropivacaine(0.1%) and Sufentanil(50 ug), background infusion5 m L, Patient controlled analgesia(PCA) dose of 5m L, lockout interval of 10 min. The control group was not received analgesia. The visual analogue scale(VAS), stage and manner of labor, Apgar score of newborn, neonatal weights, oxytocin dosage,postpartum hemorrhage and side effects were monitored in all groups.RESULTS: The vital signs were all stable in the four analgesic groups. After analgesia, there was statistical difference in VAS score between HANS group and control group, between PCEA group and the control group, between PCIA group and control group. The analgesic effect in the PCEA group was significantly better than that of other two groups.The second stage of labor in the PCEA group was longer than the other three groups, showing significant difference between them. The Apgar score of newborn 1min after birth in the PCIA group was slightly lower than that of the other two groups,showing significant difference between them. The neonatal weights between four groups were not significantly different. The rate of cesarean sectionin the control group was significantly higher than that of the labor analgesia group, there was statistically difference in four groups. The number of PCIA group that used oxytocin was lower than that of other three groups. There was no significant difference in postpartum hemorrhage between four groups. The side effects of the PCEA group were itching, uroschesis and neonatal asphyxia and PCIA group were nausea and vomiting and neonatal asphyxia. | 11 | Performance of Sn-Cu Alloy Anode at Low Temperature显示文摘Sn-Cu alloy anode was prepared by pulsed electrodeposition for lithium ion batteries, and its electrochemical per-formance was tested at low temperature. When temperature decreased from 25°C to -20°C, the Sn-Cu alloyanode provided the capacity retentions of 76% in the electrolyte of 1 mol/L LiBF4/EC+EMC+7BL and 51% inthe electrolyte of 1 mol/L LiPF6/EC+DMC+DEC. Under the same conditions, the graphite anode presented thecapacity retentions of only 41% and 18%, respectively. The Sn-Cu alloy anode showed better performance in theelectrolyte of 1 mol/L LiBF4/EC+EMC+7BL than in the electrolyte of 1 mol/L LiPF6/EC+DMC+DEC, and keptmuch higher capacity retention than that of graphite at -20°C. | 12 | Effect of silica nanoparticles/poly(vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene) coated layers on the performance of polypropylene separator for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘In an effort to reduce thermal shrinkage and improve electrochemical performance of porous polypropylene(PP) separators for lithium-ion batteries, a new composite separator is developed by introducing ceramic coated layers on both sides of PP separator through a dip-coating process. The coated layers are comprised of heat-resistant and hydrophilic silica nanoparticles and polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene(PVDF-HFP) binders. Highly porous honeycomb structure is formed and the thickness of the layer is only about 700 nm. | 13 | Boron-doped Ketjenblack based high performances cathode for rechargeable Li–O2 batteries显示文摘Boron-doped Ketjenblack is attempted as cathode catalyst for non-aqueous rechargeable Li–O_2 batteries. The boron-doped Ketjenblack delivers an extremely high discharge capacity of 7193 m Ah/g at a current density of 0.1 m A/cm2, and the capacity is about 2.3 times as that of the pristine KB. When the batteries are cycled with different restricted capacity, the boron-doped Ketjenblack based cathodes exhibits higher discharge platform and longer cycle life than Ketjenblack based cathodes. Additionally, the boron-doped Ketjenblack also shows a superior electrocatalytic activity for oxygen reduction in 0.1 mol/L KOH aqueous solution. | 14 | Surface modification of polyolefin separators for lithium ion batteries to reduce thermal shrinkage without thickness increase显示文摘Surface chemical modification of polyolefin separators for lithium ion batteries is attempted to reduce the thermal shrinkage, which is important for the battery energy density. In this study, we grafted organic/inorganic hybrid crosslinked networks on the separators, simply by grafting polymerization and condensation reaction. The considerable silicon-oxygen crosslinked heat-resistance networks are responsible for the reduced thermal shrinkage. The strong chemical bonds between networks and separators promise enough mechanical support even at high temperature. The shrinkage at 150 C for 30 min in the mechanical direction was 38.6% and 4.6% for the pristine and present graft-modified separators, respectively. Meanwhile, the grafting organic-inorganic hybrid crosslink networks mainly occupied part of void in the internal pores of the separators, so the thicknesses of the graft-modified separators were similar with the pristine one.
