1Experimental studies on the pore structure and mechanical properties of anhydrite rock under freeze-thaw cycles显示文摘To study the deterioration mechanisms of anhydrite rock under the freeze-thaw weathering process,the physico-mechanical characteristics and microstructure evolutions of anhydrite samples were determined by a series of laboratory tests.Then,a descriptive-behavioral model was used to measure the integrity loss in anhydrite samples caused by cyclic freeze-thaw.Finally,the freeze-thaw damage mechanisms of anhydrite rock were revealed from the macro and micro aspects.The results show that the pore size of the anhydrite rock is mainly concentrated in the range of 0.001-10μm.As the number of freeze-thaw cycles increases,there is a growth in the proportion of macropores and mesopores.However,the proportion of micropores shows a declining trend.The relations of the uniaxial compressive strength,triaxial compressive strength,cohesion,and elastic modulus versus freeze-thaw cycles can be fitted by a decreasing exponential function,while the internal friction angle is basically unchanged with freezethaw cycles.With the increase of confining pressure,the disintegration rates of the compressive strength and the elastic modulus decrease,and the corresponding half-life values increase,which reveals that the increase of confining pressures could inhibit freeze-thaw damage to rocks.Moreover,it has been proven that the water chemical softening mechanism plays an essential role in the freeze-thaw damage to anhydrite rock.Furtherly,it is concluded that the freeze-thaw weathering process significantly influences the macroscopic and microscopic damages of anhydrite rock.Chao Hou Xiaoguang Jin Jie He Hanlin Li 2022Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,3:3
2Comparison of the differentiation of dental pulp stem cells and periodontal ligament stem cells into neuron-like cells and their effects on focal cerebral ischemia显示文摘Recent studies have reported an in creasing in cidence of ischemic stroke,particularly in younger age groups.Dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs)and periodontal ligament stem cells(PDLSCs)are the most comm on stem cells acquired from the teeth of adults,even elderly people.However,there are no detailed reports on whether DPSCs or PDLSCs are suitable for the treatment of ischemic stroke.In this study,the in vitro differentiation of DPSCs and PDLSCs into neuron-like cells was evaluated.Then,we established a rat model of cerebral ischemia.DPSCs or PDLSCs were administered to animals,and the therapeutic effects of these two types of cells were investigated.The results showed that PDLSCs had a higher differentiation rate than DPSCs.Immunofluorescence studies showed that the expression of the neuronal differentiation markerThy-1 was higher in PDLSCs than in DPSCs,and other gene markers of neuronal differentiation showed corresponding trends,which were confirmed by western blot analysis.In this process,the Notch and Wnt signaling pathways were inhibited and activated,respectively.Fin ally,rats with transient occlusion of the right middle cerebral artery were used as a model to assess the therapeutic effect of PDLSCs and DPSCs on ischemia.The results showed that rats in the PDLSC-treated group emitted significantly greater red fluorescence signal than the DPSC-treated group.PDLSC transplantation promoted the recovery of neurological function more effectively than DPSC transplantation.Hence,PDLSCs represent an autogenous source of adult mesenchymal stem cells with desirable biological properties and may be an ideal candidate for clinical applications.Tingting Wu Wanting Xu Hanlin Chen Shasha Li Rengang Dou Hongtao Shen Xue Liu Xiaoyu Liu Yongfeng Hong Jiacai He 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,9:2

6Anti-windup compensation design for a class of distributed time-delayed cellular neural networks显示文摘Both time-delays and anti-windup(AW)problems are conventional problems in system design,which are scarcely discussed in cellular neural networks(CNNs).This paper discusses stabilization for a class of distributed time-delayed CNNs with input saturation.Based on the Lyapunov theory and the Schur complement principle,a bilinear matrix inequality(BMI)criterion is designed to stabilize the system with input saturation.By matrix congruent transformation,the BMI control criterion can be changed into linear matrix inequality(LMI)criterion,then it can be easily solved by the computer.It is a one-step AW strategy that the feedback compensator and the AW compensator can be determined simultaneously.The attraction domain and its optimization are also discussed.The structure of CNNs with both constant timedelays and distribute time-delays is more general.This method is simple and systematic,allowing dealing with a large class of such systems whose excitation satisfies the Lipschitz condition.The simulation results verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.HE Hanlin ZHAMiao BIAN Shaofeng 2019Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2019,30,6:1
7Identification of sweet spots in shale-type and siltstone-type“shale oil systems”:A case study of the Chang 7 Member in Ordos Basin显示文摘Mid-high maturity shale oil is the most realistic field for the scale breakthrough of terrestrial shale oil production in China.Generally,three deficiencies hinder shale oil development in China:heavy oil density,small sweet spot areas,and poor distribution continuity.Thus,identifying the“sweet spots”in shale oil reservoirs is critical for the efficient exploration and development of terrestrial shale oil.This study targets the siltstone type(Class-Ⅱshale oil)and pure shale type(Class-Ⅲshale oil)of the Chang 7 Member in the Ordos Basin,and identifies three stratigraphic units,namely the hydrocarbon accumulation unit,hydrocarbon generation unit,and hydrocarbon retention unit,which together constitute the in-source“shale oil system”.The hydrocarbon accumulation unit is mainly siltstone,where the hydrocarbons are migrated from shales.It has favorable porethroat network connectivity with a pore connectivity ratio of 32–57%,being the siltstone-type sweet spots.The hydrocarbon generation unit is mainly composed of high-TOC mudstone/shale and is the main contributor to in-source hydrocarbon generation and expulsion.This unit has high three-dimensional connectivity(28–30%),as shown by the pore-throat network model,associated with vertical paths for hydrocarbon expulsion.The hydrocarbon retention unit is mainly composed of low-TOC mudstone/shale retaining self-generated and migrated hydrocarbons.The pore connectivity rate is 17–42%,and the pore-throat network connectivity direction is uneven.Light and low-carbon-number hydrocarbons are preferentially trapped or even sealed in small pores of the retention unit,forming the typical mudstone/shale-type sweet spots.In the process called shale oil intrasource migration,the oil migrates in source rocks causing component fractionation,which allows more shale oil to enrich in the hydrocarbon accumulation and retention units to form sweet spots,compared with the hydrocarbon generation unit.The migration paths include the one from mudstone/shale to siltstone interlayers and that from the high-TOC mudstone/shale intervals to the low-TOC intervals.The in-source accumulation of shale oil shows the differentiated enrichment model featuring“high-TOC mudstone/shale generating hydrocarbons,low-TOC mudstone/shale retaining hydrocarbons,siltstone accumulating hydrocarbons and multiple intra-source migration paths”.In the Ordos Basin,the organic-lean(TOC 1–3%)mudstone/shale intervals appear to be the sweet spots of shale oil,where there are abundant medium-short-chain hydrocarbons retained with high flowability.After fracturing stimulation,their production conditions may be even superior to those of siltstones.This proposed idea changes the previous strategy to look for sweet spots in high-TOC intervals derived from the shale gas industry.Songqi PAN Qiulei GUO Caineng ZOU Zhenhua JING Ming YUAN Ying HE He ZHENG Ying MU Zhi YANG Shixiang LI Xinping ZHOU Songtao WU Hanlin LIU Feng YANG Yuanjia HAN 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,7:1

9Sonosensitized Aggregation-Induced Emission Dots with Capacities of Immunogenic Cell Death Induction and Multivalent Blocking of Programmed Cell Death-Ligand 1 for Amplified Antitumor Immunotherapy显示文摘The combination of immunogenic cell death(ICD)induction and immune checkpoint blockade has emerged as a major direction of cancer immunotherapy.Among currently available ICD inducers,sonosensitizers that produce reactive oxygen species(ROS)under an external trigger to evoke ICD of tumor cells have shown great promise.However,a highly efficient sonosensitizer-based ICD inducer with an aggregationinduced emission(AIE)characteristic has yet to be developed.Herein,a novel AIE sonosensitizer with a twisted molecular structure,very small energy gap between the singlet and triplet excited states(ΔE_(ST)),and efficient ROS generation ability,which can serve as an effective ICD inducer,is reported for sonodynamic processes in cancer immunotherapy.Furthermore,an AIE sonosensitizer-based nanosystem with surface modification of anti-PD-L1 peptide is constructed for boosting antitumor immunotherapy.In this system,AIE sonosensitizer-mediated sonodynamic therapy can successfully convert a hypoimmunogenic cold tumor to a hot one and further facilitate the multivalent blocking of programed death ligand(PD-L1)by anti-PD-L1 peptides.Such an advanced nanosystem could effectively initiate the activation of antitumoral immune reactions and modulation of an immunosuppressive microenvironment,contributing to systemic antitumor effects to further inhibit the growth of distant tumors.Shaorui Jia Zhiyuan Gao Zelin Wu Heqi Gao He Wang Hanlin Ou Dan Ding 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,2:0

11Effects of Zr substitution on soot combustion over cubic fluorite-structured nanoceria:Soot-ceria contact and interfacial oxygen evolution显示文摘Ceria is widely used as a catalyst for soot combustion,but effects of Zr substitution on the reaction mechanism is ambiguous.The present work elucidates effects of Zr substitution on soot combustion over cubic fluorite-structured nanoceria.The nanostructured CeO_(2),Ce_(0.92)Zr_(0.08)O_(2),and Ce_(0.84)Zr_(0.16)O_(2)composed of 5-6 nm crystallites display T_(m-CO2)(the temperature at maximum CO_2 yield)at 383,355,and 375℃under 10 vol.%O_(2)/N_(2),respectively.The size of agglomerate decreases from 165.5 to 51.9-57.3 nm,which is beneficial for the sootceria contact.Moreover,Zr increases the amount of surface oxygen vacancies,generating more active oxygen(O_(2)^-and O^(-))for soot oxidation.Thus,the activities of Ce_(0.92)Zr_(0.08)O_(2)and Ce_(0.84)Zr_(0.16)O_(2)in soot combustion are better than that of CeO_(2).Although oxygen vacancies promote the migration of lattice O~(2-),the enriched surface Zr also inhibits the mobility of lattice O^(2-).Therefore,the T_(m-CO2)of Ce_(0.84)Zr_(0.1)6 O_(2)is higher than that of Ce_(0.92)Zr_(0.08)O_(2).Based on reaction kinetic study,soot in direct contact with ceria preferentially decomposes with low activation energy,while the oxidation of isolated soot occurs through diffusion with high activation energy.The obtained findings provide new understanding on the soot combustion over nanoceria.Peng Liu Xiaoliang Liang Yanliu Dang Junkai He Alireza Shirazi-Amin Laura A.Achola Shanka Dissanayake Hanlin Chen Mingli Fu Daiqi Ye Steven L.Suib 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,3:0
12Effects of dietary supplementation of Bacillus subtilis DSM 32315 on growth,immune response and acute ammonia stress tolerance of Nile tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus)fed with high or low protein diets显示文摘Aquatic animals have benefited from Bacillus subtilis-based probiotics over the past few decades.This study evaluated the effects of B.subtilis DSM 32315 probiotics as a feed additive on growth,immune response and resistance to acute ammonia challenge in Nile tilapia.Specifically,four supplemental levels(0%,0.1%,0.2%,and 0.3%)of B.subtilis probiotics were tested under two dietary protein levels(32%and28%).Five replicate tanks were randomly allotted to each dietary treatment,with each tank containing 30Nile tilapia.After 8 weeks of feeding,Nile tilapia in each tank were exposed to 43.61 mg/L of total ammonia nitrogen for 48 h.The results revealed that reducing protein levels from 32%to 28%did not affect growth performance or antioxidant capacity.However,the low protein diet tended to induce an inflammatory effect shown by increased expressions of TGF-βand IFN-γgenes(P<0.05)in the liver.The impact was alleviated by the probiotic supplementation.Compared with the non-supplemented group,0.1%probiotic supplementation remarkably increased plasma lysozyme activity,total antioxidant capacity and complement C3 and interleukin-10 mRNA levels(P<0.05)in the 28%protein diet,while higher supplementation of probiotics(0.3%)was shown to be beneficial for the high protein diet(32%).In both the dietary protein levels,0.1%supplementation of probiotics promoted the antioxidant capacity of Nile tilapia before exposure to ammonia stress but higher probiotic supplementation(0.3%)proved to be necessary under ammonia stress as evidenced by higher fish survival rate.Results exhibited that supplementation with B.subtilis probiotics had a better effect on the intestinal morphology(villi height and width)regardless of protein levels.In conclusion,dietary supplementation of B.subtilis DSM 32315probiotics at 0.1%in the low protein diet and up to 0.3%in the high protein diet showed beneficial effects on the growth,immunity,and antioxidant capacity of Nile tilapia.Under ammonia stress conditions,the higher supplementation of B.subtilis DSM 32315 probiotics at 0.3%improves stress tolerance of Nile tilapia despite the two dietary protein levels(32%;28%).Zhihong Liao Yantao Liu Hanlin Wei Xuanshu He Ziqiao Wang Zhenxiao Zhuang Wei Zhao Karthik Masagounder Juyun He Jin Niu 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,4:0
