1Epidermal growth factor improves intestinal morphology by stimulating proliferation and differentiation of enterocytes and mTOR signaling pathway in weaning piglets显示文摘Epidermal growth factor(EGF) has been shown to improve piglet intestinal morphology and epithelial recovery. In an attempt to further understand the mechanisms behind these improvements, this study tested the hypothesis that dietary EGF may affect intestinal morphology by stimulating the proliferation and differentiation of enterocytes in weaning piglets. In piglets receiving200 μg kg^-1 EGF, crypt depth and villus height increased(P<0.05). Adding 400 μg kg^-1 EGF increased villus height-to-crypt depth ratio(P<0.05), but reduced crypt depth(P<0.05). Dietary supplementation with 200 μg kg^-1 EGF significantly increased the number of Ki67-positive cells(P<0.01) and tended to increase the mRNA level of proliferating cell nuclear antigen(P<0.10).However, this supplementation decreased the expression level of intestinal fatty acid-binding protein(P<0.05). Piglets fed with400 μg kg^-1 EGF had an increased mRNA level of intestinal alkaline phosphatase(P<0.05). The phosphorylation of m TOR(mammalian target of rapamycin) was observed in the 200 μg kg^-1 EGF group. 10Largeπ-extended donor-acceptor polymers for highly efficient in vivo near-infrared photoacoustic imaging and photothermal tumor therapy显示文摘Semiconducting polymers(SPs)with intensive near-infrared(NIR)absorption and high photothermal conversion efficiencies have been employed as a new generation of photothermal agents(PTAs)for“all-in-one”theranostic nanoplatforms with integrated photoacoustic imaging(PAI)and photothermal therapy(PTT)functions.However,the lack of facile molecular design principles impedes the development of highly efficient NIR PTAs.Herein,a facile molecular design strategy based on largeπ-extended donor-acceptor(L-π-D-A)structure is reported for achieving SPs(SP1-SP3)with highly efficient in vitro and in vivo PAI and PTT capabilities.Through adjusting the conjugation length and planarity of the donor units,both SP3 and corresponding nanoparticle(SPN)SPN3 exhibit stronger D-A strength,intensive NIR absorption,enhanced absorption coefficient,and higher photothermal conversion efficiency(up to 61.8%).The excellent photothermal conversion efficiencies make SPN1-SPN3 produce efficient inhibition of tumor growth with excellent biocompatibility and prominent PAI performance with a high contrast manner in living mice at a low systemic injection mass.Our research highlights that the new L-π-D-A molecular design is an effective strategy to obtain highly efficient polymeric NIR PTAs for high desirable cancer phototheranostic nanoplatforms.Jiangao Li Hanlin Ou Jing Li Xiaodi Yang Congwu Ge Dan Ding Xike Gao 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,12:0
11Sonosensitized Aggregation-Induced Emission Dots with Capacities of Immunogenic Cell Death Induction and Multivalent Blocking of Programmed Cell Death-Ligand 1 for Amplified Antitumor Immunotherapy显示文摘The combination of immunogenic cell death(ICD)induction and immune checkpoint blockade has emerged as a major direction of cancer immunotherapy.Among currently available ICD inducers,sonosensitizers that produce reactive oxygen species(ROS)under an external trigger to evoke ICD of tumor cells have shown great promise.However,a highly efficient sonosensitizer-based ICD inducer with an aggregationinduced emission(AIE)characteristic has yet to be developed.Herein,a novel AIE sonosensitizer with a twisted molecular structure,very small energy gap between the singlet and triplet excited states(ΔE_(ST)),and efficient ROS generation ability,which can serve as an effective ICD inducer,is reported for sonodynamic processes in cancer immunotherapy.Furthermore,an AIE sonosensitizer-based nanosystem with surface modification of anti-PD-L1 peptide is constructed for boosting antitumor immunotherapy.In this system,AIE sonosensitizer-mediated sonodynamic therapy can successfully convert a hypoimmunogenic cold tumor to a hot one and further facilitate the multivalent blocking of programed death ligand(PD-L1)by anti-PD-L1 peptides.Such an advanced nanosystem could effectively initiate the activation of antitumoral immune reactions and modulation of an immunosuppressive microenvironment,contributing to systemic antitumor effects to further inhibit the growth of distant tumors.Shaorui Jia Zhiyuan Gao Zelin Wu Heqi Gao He Wang Hanlin Ou Dan Ding 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,2:0
12Surface-adaptive nanoparticles with near-infrared aggregation-induced emission for image-guided tumor resection显示文摘Aggregation-induced emission(AIE)nanoparticles(NPs)are widely used for image-guided tumor resection because of their high signal-to-noise ratios and long systemic circulation time.These NPs are derived by encapsulating small-molecule fluorescent dyes with AIE property inside the cores of NPs assembled by amphiphilic polymers.Although the systemic circulation of AIE NPs is prolonged,hydrophilic polymer coatings simultaneously decrease the binding and uptake of AIE NPs by tumor cells.To overcome this problem,surface-adaptive AIE dye-encapsulated mixed-shell micelles(MSMs)with polyethylene glycol/poly(β-amino ester)(PEG/PAE)surfaces were prepared.Due to the charge conversion ability of PAE,MSMs demonstrated enhanced cellular uptake by tumor cells in acidic conditions.In addition,compared with single-PEG-shelled micelles(PEGSMs),MSMs exhibited prolonged systemic circulation due to the presence of micro-phase separated surfaces.Moreover,due to the coordination effect of enhanced cancer cell uptake and prolonged systemic circulation time,MSMs were more enriched than PEGSMs in the tumor cells and exhibited excellent performance during image-guided tumor resection.Xiaoyan Zhang Cong Li Wenyi Liu Hanlin Ou Dan Ding 2019Science China(Life Sciences)2019,62,11:0
13Achieving Tunable Cold/Warm White‑Light Emission in a Single Perovskite Material with Near‑Unity Photoluminescence Quantum Yield显示文摘Single materials that exhibit efficient and stable white-light emission are highly desirable for lighting applications.This paper reports a novel zero-dimensional perovskite,Rb_(4)CdCl_(6):Sn^(2+),Mn^(2+),which demonstrates exceptional white-light properties including adjustable correlated color temperature,high color rendering index of up to 85,and near-unity photoluminescence quantum yield of 99%.Using a co-doping strategy involving Sn^(2+)and Mn^(2+),cyan-orange dual-band emission with complementary spectral ranges is activated by the self-trapped excitons and d-d transitions of the Sn^(2+)and Mn^(2+)centers in the Rb_(4)CdCl_(6)host,respectively.Intriguingly,although Mn^(2+)ions doped in Rb_(4)CdCl_(6)are difficult to excite,efficient Mn^(2+)emission can be realized through an ultra-high-efficient energy transfer between Sn^(2+)and Mn^(2+)via the formation of adjacent exchange-coupled Sn–Mn pairs.Benefiting from this efficient Dexter energy transfer process,the dual emission shares the same optimal excitation wavelengths of the Sn^(2+)centers and suppresses the non-radiative vibration relaxation significantly.Moreover,the relative intensities of the dual-emission components can be modulated flexibly by adjusting the fraction of the Sn^(2+)ions to the Sn–Mn pairs.This co-doping approach involving short-range energy transfer represents a promising avenue for achieving high-quality white light within a single material.Bo Zhou Aixuan Du Dong Ding Zexiang Liu Ye Wang Haizhe Zhong Henan Li Hanlin Hu Yumeng Shi 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,11:0
14Segmented evolution of Deyang-Anyue erosion rift trough in Sichuan Basin and its significance for oil and gas exploration, SW China显示文摘Based on analysis of field survey, drilling and seismic data, the formation and evolution process of Deyang-Anyue erosion rift trough in Sichuan Basin was reconstructed, and exploration areas were divided and evaluated. The results show that:(1) Dengying Formation in and around Deyang-Anyue erosion rift trough varies widely in sedimentary characteristics. The Dengying Formation in the northern part of the erosion rift trough developed deep-water sediments, the Dengying Formation in the northern part of the basin varied gradually from basin to slope, platform margin, and restricted platform, and the Dengying Formation in the middle and southern parts of the trough developed carbonate platform facies.(2) Deyang-Anyue erosion rift trough is formed by extensional rift and karst erosion jointly, the north section of the erosion rift trough is mainly the product of tensile rift, while the middle and south sections are formed by erosion in multi-episodes of Tongwan period.(3) Based on the segmented origins of the erosion rift trough, Dengying Formation in and around it is divided into three exploration fields: lithologic mound and beach bodies at the northern platform margin of the basin, karst mound and beach bodies in the central platform, and karst residual mounds in the central southern trough of the basin, among them, the karst residual mounds in the central southern trough of the basin are a new frontier for natural gas exploration in the basin, and the lithologic mound and beach bodies at the northern platform margin are a new position for increasing the reserves of trillions of cubic meters of natural gas resources in the basin.MA Kui WEN Long ZHANG Benjian LI Yong ZHONG Jiayi WANG Yunlong PENG Hanlin ZHANG Xihua YAN Wei DING Yi CHEN Xiao 2022Petroleum Exploration and Development2022,49,2:0
15Gathering brings strength:How organic aggregates boost disease phototheranostics显示文摘Phototheranostics that concurrently and complementarily integrate real-time diagnosis and in situ therapeutic capabilities in one platform has become the advancing edge of precision medicine.Organic agents possess the merits of facile preparation,high purity,tunable photophysical property,good biocompatibility,and potential biodegradability,which have shown great promise for disease theranostics.This review summarizes the recent achievements of organic phototheranostic agents and applications,especially which rationally utilize energy dissipation pathways of Jablonski diagram to modulate the fluorescence emission,photoacoustic/photothermal production,and photodynamic processes.Of particular interest are the systems exhibiting huge differences in aggregate state as compared with the solution or single molecule form,during which the intramolecular motions play an important role in regulating the photophysical properties.The recent advances from such an aspect for biomedical applications including high-resolution imaging,activatable imaging and therapy,adaptive theranostics,image-guided surgery,immunotherapy,and afterglow imaging are discussed.A brief summary and perspective in this field are also presented.We hope this review will be helpful to the researchers interested in bioprobe design and theranostic applications,and inspire new insights into the linkage between aggregate science and biomedical field.Ji Qi Hanlin Ou Qian Liu Dan Ding 2021Aggregate2021,2,1:0
