1Distributed modeling of monthly air temperatures over the rugged terrain of the Yellow River Basin显示文摘Our analyses of the monthly mean air temperature of meteorological stations show that altitude,global solar radiation and surface effective radiation have a significant impact on air temperature.We set up a physically-based empirical model for monthly air temperature simulation.Combined the proposed model with the distributed modeling results of global solar radiation and routine meteorological observation data,we also developed a method for the distributed simulation of monthly air temperatures over rugged terrain.Spatial distribution maps are generated at a resolution of 1 km×1 km for the monthly mean,the monthly mean maximum and the monthly mean minimum air temperatures for the Yellow River Basin.Analysis shows that the simulation results reflect to a considerable extent the macro and local distribution characteristics of air temperature.Cross-validation shows that the proposed model displays good stability with mean absolute bias errors of 0.19℃-0.35℃.Tests carried out on local meteorological station data and case year data show that the model has good spatial and temporal simulation capacity.The proposed model solely uses routine meteorological data and can be applied easily to other regions.ZENG Yan QIU XinFa HE YongJian SHI GuoPing LIU ChangMing 2009Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,5:11
2Reversible 3D optical data storage and information encryption in photo-modulated transparent glass medium显示文摘Transparent glass has been identified as a vital medium for three-dimensional(3D)optical information storage and multi-level encryption.However,it has remained a challenge for directly writing 3D patterning inside a transparent glass using semiconductor blue laser instead of high-cost femtosecond laser.Here,we demonstrate that rare earth ions doped transparent glass can be used as 3D optical information storage and data encryption medium based on their reversible transmittance and photoluminescence manipulation.The color of tungsten phosphate glass doped with rare earth ions change reversibly from light yellow to blue upon alternating 473 nm laser illumination and temperature stimulation,resulting in the reversible luminescence modulation.The information data could be repeatedly written and erased in arbitrary 3D space of transparent glass,not only showing the ability of the excellent reproducibility and storage capacity,but also opening opportunities in information security.The present work expands the application fields of luminescent glass,and it is conducive to develop a novel 3D data storage and information encryption media.Zhen Hu Xiongjian Huang Zhengwen Yang Jianbei Qiu Zhiguo Song Junying Zhang Guoping Dong 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,8:6
3Enhanced Dielectric Response in Mg-doped CaCu_3Ti_4O_(12) Ceramics显示文摘CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramics substituted by Mg for Ca were prepared by the solid state reaction method. The crystal structures, microstructures, and dielectric properties of the Ca1-xMgxCu3Ti4O12 ceramics were investigated. At lower doping concentrations, the substitution of Mg for Ca caused a decreased lattice constant, while at higher doping concentrations, some of the Mg dopants started to replace Ti and resulted in an increased lattice constant, and some could also replace Cu due to the similar ion radius between Mg and Cu ions. Mg doping was found to promote the grain growth of Ca1-xMgxCu3Ti4O12 ceramics during sintering. Grain boundary resistance of the Ca1-xMgxCu3Ti4O12 ceramics was found to be increased by Mg doping. Enhanced dielectric properties was observed in the Ca1-xMgxCu3Ti4O12 ceramics with x=0.05 for the frequency range from 1 kHz to 20 kHz. 4A hybrid coercivity mechanism for exchange-coupled nanocomposite permanent magnets显示文摘We propose a hybrid coercivity mechanism for exchange-coupled hard/soft multilayers, which incorporates elements of both the traditional nucleation and pinning mechanisms based on both threedimensional(3 D) and one-dimensional(1 D) micromagnetic calculations. The magnetic reversal starts with the nucleation of the domain wall near the defects or soft phases, which ends by the pinning usually in the same place. Therefore, pinning near the nucleation centers are the dominant coercivity mechanism for both exchange-coupled nanocomposites and so-called single-phased permanent magnets. Our proposed coercivity mechanism and calculated results agree very well with available experimental data,especially the recently reported high energy products achieved in NdFeB and SmCo based hard/soft multilayers. 6Sideswiping Tropical Cyclones and Their Associated Precipitation over China显示文摘Tropical cyclone(TC)precipitation(TCP)has attracted considerable attention in recent decades because of its adverse socioeconomic impacts.In particular,considerable effort has been devoted to quantifying TCP and investigating the precipitation of TCs that make landfall.However,precipitation over land induced by TCs that do not make landfall(i.e.,offshore),the so-called'sideswiping'TCs(STCs),is an important component of TCP but has attracted little attention from the research community to date.Here,best-track and daily precipitation data from the China Meteorological Administration during the 59 years of 1960-2018 are used to study STC precipitation(STP).Results show that:(i)the annual number of STCs fluctuates significantly from 3 to 17,with a mean frequency of 8.8 STCs per year;(ii)there are decreasing trends in STC frequency and STP amount over the past 59 years;(iii)both STC frequency and STP are high from July to October,with maxima in August;(iv)the distribution of STP,covering most of China’s coastal regions,is dominated by intense STCs,and the annual STP decreases from southeast coastal regions to northwest inland areas,with a maximum value over the islands of Taiwan and Hainan;and(v)extreme STP events could appear not only over the island and coastal areas,but also over inland areas such as Zhumadian of Henan Province due to the influences of local orography and favorable largescale forcing.Tian FENG Fumin REN Da-Lin ZHANG Guoping LI Wenyu QIU Hui YANG 2020Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,7:2
7Hearing analysis in heterozygous and homozygous klotho gene deficient mice显示文摘Objective: To understand the crucial role of the klotho gene in hearing development in mouse models.Methods: PCR was used to identify CBA mice with different genotypes, i.e. WT, heterozygous(klotho +/-)or homozygous(klotho-/-). Mice phenotype and weight were recorded postnatal 25 days(P-25) and auditory brainstem responses(ABR) were used to determine auditory function at P-60.Results: klotho-/-mice tended to have smaller size, lighter weight and higher ABR thresholds at P-60,showing early onset age-related hearing loss(ARHL).Conclusion: Heterozygous and homozygous klotho deficient mice exhibit different degrees of hearing loss at young age, with homozygous mice(klotho-/-) showing more severe hearing loss. 8New Method for Estimating Daily Global Solar Radiation over Sloped Topography in China显示文摘A new scheme for the estimation of daily global solar radiation over sloped topography in China is developed based on the Iqbal model C and MODIS cloud fraction. The effects of topography are determined using a digital elevation model. The scheme is tested using observations of solar radiation at 98 stations in China, and the results show that the mean absolute bias error is 1.51 MJ m^(-2) d^(-1) and the mean relative absolute bias error is 10.57%. Based on calculations using this scheme,the distribution of daily global solar radiation over slopes in China on four days in the middle of each season(15 January,15 April, 15 July and 15 October 2003) at a spatial resolution of 1 km × 1 km are analyzed. To investigate the effects of topography on global solar radiation, the results determined in four mountains areas(Tianshan, Kunlun Mountains, Qinling,and Nanling) are discussed, and the typical characteristics of solar radiation over sloped surfaces revealed. 11Exercise sustains the hallmarks of health显示文摘Exercise has long been known for its active role in improving physical fitness and sustaining health.Regular moderate-intensity exercise improves all aspects of human health and is widely accepted as a preventative and therapeutic strategy for various diseases.It is well-documented that exercise maintains and restores homeostasis at the organismal,tissue,cellular,and molecular levels to stimulate positive physiological adaptations that consequently protect against various pathological conditions.Here we mainly summarize how moderate-intensity exercise affects the major hallmarks of health,including the integrity of barriers,containment of local perturbations,recycling and turnover,integration of circuitries,rhythmic oscillations,homeostatic resilience,hormetic regulation,as well as repair and regeneration.Furthermore,we summarize the current understanding of the mechanisms responsible for beneficial adaptations in response to exercise.This review aimed at providing a comprehensive summary of the vital biological mechanisms through which moderate-intensity exercise maintains health and opens a window for its application in other health interventions.We hope that continuing investigation in this field will further increase our understanding of the processes involved in the positive role of moderate-intensity exercise and thus get us closer to the identification of new therapeutics that improve quality of life.Yan Qiu Benjamin Fernández-García H.Immo Lehmann Guoping Li Guido Kroemer Carlos López-Otín Junjie Xiao 2023Journal of Sport and Health Science2023,12,1:1
