1Genesis of the Wulong gold deposit,Liaoning Province,NE China:Constrains from noble gases,radiogenic and stable isotope studies显示文摘TheWulong lode deposit contains over 80 tonnes of gold with an average grade of 5.35 g/t.It is one of the largest deposits in Dandong City,Liaoning Province in northeast China.Previous studies on the deposit focused on its geological characteristics,geochemistry,fluid inclusions,and the timing of gold mineralization.However,controversy remains regarding the origin of the ore-forming fluids and metals,and the genesis of the gold deposit.This paper presents zircon UePb and pyrite RbeSr ages and S,Pb,He,and Ar isotopic results along with quartz H and O isotopic data for all litho-units associated with the deposit.Laser ablation inductively coupled mass spectrometry measurements yielded zircon UePb dates for samples of pre-mineralization rocks like granite porphyry dike,the Sanguliu granodiorite,fine-grained diorite,and syn-mineralization diorite,as well as post-mineralization dolerite,and lamprophyre;their emplacement ages are 1261 Ma,1241 Ma,1231 Ma,1201 Ma,1192 Ma,and 1152 Ma,respectively.The pyrite RbeSr isochron age is 1191 Ma,indicating that both magmatism and mineralization occurred during the Early Cretaceous.The d18OH2O values of ore-forming hydrothermal fluids from the quartzepolymetallic sulfide vein stage vary from 4.8&to 6.5&,and the dDV-SMOW values are between67.7&and75.9&,indicating that the ore-forming fluids were primarily magmatic.The noble gas isotope compositions of fluid inclusions hosted in pyrite suggest that the ore-forming fluids were dominantly derived from crustal sources with minor mantle input.Sulfur isotopic values of pyrite vary between 0.2&and 3.5&,suggesting that S was derived from a homogeneous magmatic source or possibly from fluids derived from the crust.The Pb isotopic compositions of sulfides(207Pb/204Pb?15.51 e15.71,206Pb/204Pb?17.35e18.75,208Pb/204Pb?38.27e40.03)indicate that the Pb of the Wulong gold deposit is a mixture of crust and mantle components.Geochronological and geochemical data,together with the regional geological history,indicate that Early Cretaceous magmatism and mineralization of the Wulong gold deposit occurred during the rollback of the subducting Paleo-Pacific Plate,which resulted in lithospheric thinning and the destruction of the North China Craton(NCC),which indicates that the deposit is of magmaticehydrothermal origin.Peng Zhang Linlin Kou Yan Zhao Zhongwei Bi Deming Sha Renping Han Zhumin Li 2020Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,2:13
2ENSO Frequency Asymmetry and the Pacific Decadal Oscillation in Observations and 19 CMIP5 Models显示文摘Using observational data and the pre-industrial simulations of 19 models from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5(CMIP5), the El Ni o(EN) and La Ni a(LN) events in positive and negative Pacific Decadal Oscillation(PDO) phases are examined. In the observational data, with EN(LN) events the positive(negative) SST anomaly in the equatorial eastern Pacific is much stronger in positive(negative) PDO phases than in negative(positive) phases. Meanwhile,the models cannot reasonably reproduce this difference. Besides, the modulation of ENSO frequency asymmetry by the PDO is explored. Results show that, in the observational data, EN is 300% more(58% less) frequent than LN in positive(negative)PDO phases, which is significant at the 99% confidence level using the Monte Carlo test. 4Aquaporin-4 is a potential drug target for traumatic brain injury via aggravating the severity of brain edema显示文摘Background:Traumatic brain edema(TBE)is caused by a specific water channel mediated by membrane aquaporins.Aquaporin-4(AQP4)plays an especially important role in this process,but the relationship between AQP4 and TBE remains unclear.The purpose of this study was to explore expression of AQP4 in the hippocampus after traumatic brain injury(TBI),as well as the effect of brain edema on skeletal protein and its function in hippocampal neurons.Methods:The adult male Wistar rats we divided into a sham group and a TBI group,the latter of which was further divided into 1,3,6,12,24 and 72 hours(h)and 15 days(d)post injury subgroups.A proper TBI model was established,and brain edema was assessed in each group by water content.We measured the abundance of various proteins,including hypoxia inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α),AQP4,microtubule-associated protein 2(MAP2),tau-5 protein,phosphorylated level of TAU,synaptophysin,cyclic adenosine monophosphate response element binding protein(CREB),phosphorylated CREB and general control nonrepressed 2,in each group.Hippocampal neurons and spatial memory test were analyzed in different time points.Results:Compared with that in the sham group,the level of AQP4 in hippocampal neurons began to significantly increase at 1 h post TBI and then decreased at 15 d post TBI.During this time frame,AQP4 level peaked at 12 and 72 h,and these peaks were closely correlated with high brain water content.HIF-1αdisplayed a similar trend.Conversely,levels of MAP2 began to decrease at 1 h post TBI and then increase at 15 d post TBI.In addition,the most severe brain edema in rats was found at 24 h post TBI,with neuronal loss and hippocampal dendritic spine injury.Compared to those in the sham group,rats in the TBI groups had significantly prolonged latency and significantly shortened exploration time.Conclusions:AQP4 level was closely correlated with severity of brain edema,and abnormal levels thereof aggravated such severity after TBI.Ao Xiong Renping Xiong Jing Yu Yijia Liu Ke Liu Ge Jin Jianzhong Xu Jun Yan 2021Burns & Trauma2021,9,1:5
5Evaluation of Ocean Data Assimilation in CAS-ESM-C:Constraining the SST Field显示文摘A weakly coupled assimilation system, in which SST observations are assimilated into a coupled climate model(CASESM-C) through an ensemble optimal interpolation scheme, was established. This system is a useful tool for historical climate simulation, showing substantial advantages, including maintaining the atmospheric feedback, and keeping the oceanic fields from drifting far away from the observation, among others. During the coupled model integration, the bias of both surface and subsurface oceanic fields in the analysis can be reduced compared to unassimilated fields. Based on 30 model years of output from the system, the climatology and interannual variability of the climate system were evaluated. The results showed that the system can reasonably reproduce the climatological global precipitation and SLP, but it still suffers from the double ITCZ problem. Besides, the ENSO footprint, which is revealed by ENSO-related surface air temperature, geopotential height and precipitation during El Ni ?no evolution, is basically reproduced by the system. 8Influence of the Eastern Pacific and Central Pacific Types of ENSO on the South Asian Summer Monsoon显示文摘Based on observational and reanalysis data,the relationships between the eastern Pacific(EP)and central Pacific(CP)types of El Niño−Southern Oscillation(ENSO)during the developing summer and the South Asian summer monsoon(SASM)are examined.The roles of these two types of ENSO on the SASM experienced notable multidecadal modulation in the late 1970s.While the inverse relationship between the EP type of ENSO and the SASM has weakened dramatically,the CP type of ENSO plays a far more prominent role in producing anomalous Indian monsoon rainfall after the late 1970s.The drought-producing El Niño warming of both the EP and CP types can excite anomalous rising motion of the Walker circulation concentrated in the equatorial central Pacific around 160°W to the date line.Accordingly,compensatory subsidence anomalies are evident from the Maritime Continent to the Indian subcontinent,leading to suppressed convection and decreased precipitation over these regions.Moreover,anomalously less moisture flux into South Asia associated with developing EP El Niño and significant northwesterly anomalies dominating over southern India accompanied by developing CP El Niño,may also have been responsible for the Indian monsoon droughts during the pre-1979 and post-1979 sub-periods,respectively.El Niño events with the same“flavor”may not necessarily produce consistent Indian monsoon rainfall anomalies,while similar Indian monsoon droughts may be induced by different types of El Niño,implying high sensitivity of monsoonal precipitation to the detailed configuration of ENSO forcing imposed on the tropical Pacific.Fangxing FAN Renping LIN Xianghui FANG Feng XUE Fei ZHENG Jiang ZHU 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,1:1

10Nest-site Use by the Chinese Alligator (Alligator sinensis) in the Gaojingmiao Breeding Farm,Anhui,China显示文摘Nest-site and nesting material used by the Chinese alligator(Alligator sinensis) was studied at the Gaojingmiao Breeding Farm, Langxi County,Anhui, China from May to September 2009. In this study, artificial nesting materials were placed in 43 potential nesting sites before the nesting season, 11 of which were used. Additionally, eight nests were built at natural sites without artificial nesting materials provided. Seven environmental variables were measured at each nest site: distance from water, height from water surface, sunlight duration, nearest bank slope, nest site slope, vegetation coverage and concealment. Statistical analyses indicated that concealment was significantly different between used and unused nest sites, with concealment being significantly correlated to the use of materialsplaced sites. In comparing the nests at artificial vs. natural sites, only the nearest bank slope differed significantly. 20High-performance supercapacitor based on MOF derived porous NiCo2O4 nanoparticle显示文摘Transition metal oxide is a promising candidate for future supercapacitors due to its pronounced electrical properties and low cost.Unfortunately,the poor cycle stability and low capacitance due to the small lattice spacing and strong volume expansion in dense transition metal oxide impede its practical applications seriously.Herein,a nanoporous electrode of metal oxide has been prepared via the solvothermal and subsequent calcination process of MOF-74(MOF=metal-organic framework),which shows outstanding cycle reversibility,excellent capacitance.Because of large surface areas with a nanoporous structure which is beneficial to the ion transport and relief to volume expansion.Three samples with different divalent metals(MOF-74-Ni,MOF-74-NiCo2 and MOF-74-Co)were prepared by hydrothermal method.After a facile annealing process,the NiO,NiCo2O4 and Co3O4 with the large surface area and porous structure were easily obtained and further the electrochemical properties were investigated.As a result,the NiCo2O4 electrode exhibits obviously high specific capacity(684 F/g)and excellent cycling stability(86%retention after 3000 cycles)compared with the monometallic oxides.GONG LiuTing XU Miao MA RenPing HAN YingPing XU HongBo SHI Gang 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,8:1
