1Progresses on microwave remote sensing of land surface parameters显示文摘Highly accurate observations at various scales on the land surface are urgently needed for the studies of many areas,such as hydrology,meteorology,and agriculture.With the rapid development of remote sensing techniques,remote sensing has had the capacity of monitoring many factors of the Earth's land surface.Especially,the space-borne microwave remote sensing systems have been widely used in the quantitative monitoring of global snow,soil moisture,and vegetation parameters with their all-weather,all-time observation capabilities and their sensitivities to the characteristics of land surface factors.Based on the electromagnetic theories and microwave radiative transfer equations,researchers have achieved great successes in the microwave remote sensing studies for different sensors in recent years.This article has systematically reviewed the progresses on five research areas including microwave theoretical modeling,microwave inversion on soil moisture,snow,vegetation and land surface temperatures.Through the further enrichment of remote sensing datasets and the development of remote sensing theories and inversion techniques,remote sensing including microwave remote sensing will play a more important role in the studies and applications of the Earth systems.SHI JianCheng DU Yang DU JinYang JIANG LingMei CHAI LinNa MAO KeBiao XU Peng NI WenJian XIONG Chuan LIU Qiang LIU ChenZhou GUO Peng CUI Qian LI YunQing CHEN Jing WANG AnQi LUO HeJia WANG YinHui 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,7:24
2Environmental conditions and genetic differentiation:what drives the divergence of coexisting Leymus chinensis ecotypes in a large-scale longitudinal gradient?显示文摘Aims The two coexisting Leymus chinensis ecotypes exhibit remarkable divergences in adaptive strategies under drought and salinity in semi-humid meadows and semi-arid steppes.In order to detect the major genetic and environmental factors dominating the intraspecific phenotype variations and ecotype formation,the questions regarding the two distinct phenotypic forms(ecotypes)in L.chin-ensis were addressed:(i)did environments drive the L.chinensis ecotype formation?(ii)was there a molecular basis for the morphological divergence between the two ecotypes?(iii)which driving force dominated the intraspecies divergence,divergent natural selection,genetic drift or stabilizing selection?Methods We applied a series experiments on demographical,morphological and physiological traits of two Leymus chinensis ecotypes with gray green(GG)and yellow green(YG)leaf color in nine wild sites along a longitudinal gradient from 114°to 124°E in northeast China.The environmental data including mean annual precipitation,mean annual temperature,elevation and soil properties were collected.We compared the differences of morphological,physiological and genetic differentiations between the two ecotypes.Important FindingsThe GG type exhibited stronger fitness than YG type from the population densities,morphological traits(e.g.shoot height,leaf area,leaf and seed weights et al.),leaf mass per area(LMA)and physiological traits[relative water content(RWC),proline,soluble sugar contents].Most of above phenotypes(e.g.total shoot densities,spike length et al.)were significantly correlated with mean annual precipitation,mean annual temperature and soil water content(SWC),rarely a correlated with soil pH and soil nutrient.Transplanted populations showed convergence trend by their leaf chlorophyll contents and osmotic adjustments(proline and soluble sugar contents)in the greenhouse,but still exhibited their divergences between two ecotypes in the outdoor transplantation,suggesting that whether L.chinensis ecotype differentiated could be largely affected by the environmental conditions.Furthermore,by the comparison result of quantitative genetic variation(Q_(ST))values from phenotypes with theoretical neutral genetic differentiation(F_(ST)),differentiation in phenotypic traits greatly surpassed neutral predictions,implying that directional natural selection played a crucial role in L.chinen-sis ecotype differentiation.In addition,microsatellite analysis from Neighbor-joining tree and Bayesian assignment generated into two groups according to ecotypes,indicating molecular genetic differentiation also propelled the two ecotypes divergence.We conclude that L.chinensis population variations were driven by combing divergent natural selection(precipitation,temperature and SWCs)along the large-scale gradient and significantly intrinsic genetic differentiation.Shan Yuan Chengyuan Guo Linna Ma Renzhong Wang 2016Journal of Plant Ecology2016,9,5:4
3Viscoelasticity of Asphalt Modified With Packaging Waste Expended Polystyrene显示文摘In view of environmental and economic aspect,asphalt was modified with recycled packaging waste expended polystyrene(WEPS)instead of common polymer.The differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),rotational viscometer and dynamic shear rheology(DSR)were used to analyze and evaluate the viscoelasticity of modified asphalt.Results indicate that the sensitivity of modified asphalt to temperature is decreased while the rut resistance of asphalt is increased.In addition,the viscoelasticity of asphalt is improved after the modification with WEPS.Besides,the modified asphalt has high viscosity at low temperature and low viscosity at high temperature,which is favorable for construction.Changqing Fang Linna Jiao Jingbo Hu Qian Yu Dagang Guo Xing Zhou Ruien Yu 2014Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,9:3
4Ag doped urchin-like α-MnO2 toward efficient and bifunctional electrocatalysts for Li-02 batteries显示文摘Rechargeable Li-O2 batteries (LOBs) have been receiving intensive attention because of their ultra-high theoretical energy densityclose to the gasoline. Herein, Ag modified urchin-like α-MnO2 (Ag-MnO2) material with hierarchical porous structure is obtained bya facile one-step hydrothermal method. Ag-MnO2 possesses thick nanowires and presents hierarchical porous structure of mesoporesand macropores. The unique structure can expose more active sites, and provide continuous pathways for O2 and discharge productsas well. The doping of Ag leads to the change of electronic distribution in α-MnO2 (i.e., more oxygen vacancies), which playimportant roles in improving their intrinsic catalytic activity and conductivity. As a result, LOBs with Ag-MnO2 catalysts exhibit loweroverpotential, higher discharge specific capacity and much better cycle stability compared to pure a-MnO2. LOBs with Ag-MnO2catalysts exhibit a superior discharge specific capacity of 13,131 mA·h·g^-1 at a current density of 200 mA·h·g^-1, a good cycle stabilityof 500 cycles at the capacity of 500 mA·h·g^-1. 9Light-triggered NO-releasing nanoparticles for treating mice with liver fibrosis显示文摘Liver fibrosis, resulting from chronic liver damage and characterized by the accumulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins, is a characteristic of most types of chronic liver diseases. The activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSC) is considered an essential pathological hallmark in liver fibrosis. Although nitric oxide (NO) can effectively induce HSC apoptosis, the systemic administration of NO is ineffective and may cause severe complications such as hypotension. To overcome this limitation, nanoparticles were designed to target HSCs and release NO locally under the exposure of near infrared light (NIR). To achieve this, upconversion nanoparticle (UCNP) cores were enveloped in mesoporous silica shells (UCNP@mSiO2), which were modified with hyaluronic acid (HA-UCNP@mSiO2) and Roussin’s black salt (RBS). HA molecules recognize and bind to CD44 proteins, which are overexpressed on activated HSCs. Under exposure to a 980-nm NIR laser, the UCNP cores convert the 980-nm wavelength into ultraviolet (UV) light, which then energizes the RBS (NO donors), resulting in an efficient release of NO inside of the HSCs. Once released, NO triggers HSC apoptosis and reverses the liver fibrosis. 10DCLK1 autoinhibition and activation in tumorigenesis显示文摘Doublecortin-like kinase 1(DCLK1)is upregulated in many tumors and is a marker for tumor stem cells.Accumulating evidence suggests DCLK1 constitutes a promising drug target for cancer therapy.However,the regulation of DCLK1 kinase activity is poorly understood,particularly the function of its autoinhibitory domain(AID),and,moreover,no physiological activators of DCLK1 have presently been reported.Here we determined the first DCLK1 kinase structure in the autoinhibited state and identified the neuronal calcium sensor HPCAL1 as an activator of DCLK1.The C-terminal AID functions to block the ATP-binding site and is competitive with ATP.HPCAL1 binds directly to the AID in a Ca^(2+)-dependent manner,which releases the autoinhibition.We also analyzed cancer-associated mutations occurring in the AID and elucidate how these mutations disrupt DCLK1 autoinhibition to elicit kinase activity upregulation.Our results present a molecular mechanism for autoinhibition and activation of DCLK1 kinase activity and provide insights into DCLK1-associated tumorigenesis.Linna Cheng Zejing Yang Wenhao Guo Chengyong Wu Shufang Liang Aiping Tong Zhongwei Cao Rick F.Thorne Sheng-Yong Yang Yamei Yu Qiang Chen 2022The Innovation2022,3,1:1

14Modulating surface cation vacancies of nickel-cobalt oxides as efficient catalysts for lithium-oxygen batteries显示文摘Rechargeable lithium-oxygen batteries(LOBs)have received incremental attention owing to their high energy density and applicability to mobile devices and electric vehicles.However,the lack of robust,low-cost,and environmentally benign bifunctional catalysts is a major impediment to the commercial application.The introduction of vacancies is one of the effective strategies to enhance the performance of cathode catalysts for lithium-oxygen batteries,but the preparation is complicated.In this work,needle-like microsphere cathode catalysts of nickel-cobalt oxide containing cationic vacancies are constructed by controlling the annealing temperature.It is demonstrated that the presence of cationic vacancies can modulate the electronic structure of the catalyst,reduce the energy barrier for the oxygen electrode re-action,meanwhile enhance the bifunctional catalytic activity.Impressively,the nickel-cobalt oxide-based LOB with cationic vacancies exhibits large specific capacity(12,205 mAh g^(-1)at 200 mA g^(-1))and good durability.This work provides worthwhile insight into the formation and catalytic enhancement mech-anism of transition metal oxide catalysts with cationic vacancies,and to some extent,the creation of efficient and low-cost oxygen electrocatalysts for LOBs.Yuan Yang Linna Dai Jianwei Qiu Zhibiao Hu Peng Wang Yongtao Zhao Huanhuan Guo Pengchao Si Rui Song 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,8:0
