1Multilayer black phosphorus as saturable absorber for an Er:Lu_(2)O_(3) laser at~3 μm显示文摘Multilayer black phosphorus(BP) nanoplatelets of different thicknesses were prepared by the liquid phase exfoliation method and deposited onto yttrium aluminum garnet substrates to form saturable absorbers(SAs). These were characterized with respect to their thickness-dependent saturable absorption properties at 3 μm. The BP-SAs were employed in a passively Q-switched Er:Lu_2O_3 laser at 2.84 μm. By using BP exfoliated in different solvents,stable pulses as short as 359 ns were generated at an average output power of up to 755 m W. The repetition rate in the experiment was 107 k Hz, corresponding to a pulse energy of 7.1 μJ. 6High-quality 2-μm Q-switched pulsed solid-state lasers using spin-coating-coreduction approach synthesized Bi_2Te_3 topological insulators显示文摘In this paper, the fabrication process and characterization of Bi_2Te_3 topological insulators(TIs) synthesized by the spin-coating-coreduction approach(SCCA) is reported. With this approach, high-uniformity nano-crystalline TI saturable absorbers(TISAs) with large-area uniformity and controllable thickness are prepared. By employing these prepared TIs with different thicknesses as SAs in 2-μm solid-state Q-switched lasers, thickness-dependent output powers and pulse durations of the laser pulses are obtained, and the result also exhibits stability and reliability. The shortest pulse duration is as short as 233 ns, and the corresponding clock amplitude jitter is around 2.1%, which is the shortest pulse duration in Tl SA-based Q-switched 2-μm lasers to the best of our knowledge.Moreover, in comparison with the TISA synthesized by the ultrasound-assisted liquid phase exfoliation(UALPE)method, the experimental results show that lasers with SCCA synthesized TISAs have higher output powers, shorter pulse durations, and higher pulse peak powers. 7Femtosecond laser fabrication of nanograting-based distributed fiber sensors for extreme environmental applications显示文摘The femtosecond laser has emerged as a powerful tool for micro-and nanoscale device fabrication. Through nonlinear ionization processes, nanometer-sized material modifications can be inscribed in transparent materials for device fabrication. This paper describes femtosecond precision inscription of nanograting in silica fiber cores to form both distributed and point fiber sensors for sensing applications in extreme environmental conditions. Through the use of scanning electron microscope imaging and laser processing optimization,high-temperature stable, Type II femtosecond laser modifications were continuously inscribed,point by point, with only an insertion loss at 1 d B m~(-1) or 0.001 d B per point sensor device.High-temperature performance of fiber sensors was tested at 1000℃, which showed a temperature fluctuation of ±5.5℃ over 5 days. The low laser-induced insertion loss in optical fibers enabled the fabrication of a 1.4 m, radiation-resilient distributed fiber sensor. The in-pile testing of the distributed fiber sensor further showed that fiber sensors can execute stable and distributed temperature measurements in extreme radiation environments. 8Review of stopping power and Coulomb explosion for molecular ion in plasmas显示文摘We summarize our theoretical studies for stopping power of energetic heavy ion,diatomic molecular ions and small clusters penetrating through plasmas.As a relevant research field for the heavy ion inertial confinement fusion(HICF),we lay the emphasis on the dynamic po-larization and correlation effects of the constituent ion within the molecular ion and cluster for stopping power in order to disclose the role of the vicinage effect on the Coulomb explosion and energy deposition of molecules and clusters in plasma.On the other hand,as a promising scheme for ICF,both a strong laser field and an intense ion beam are used to irradiate a plasma target.So the influence of a strong laser field on stopping power is significant.We discussed a large range of laser and plasma parameters on the coulomb explosion and stopping power for correlated-ion cluster and C 60 cluster.Furthermore,in order to indicate the effects of different cluster types and sizes on the stopping power,a comparison is made for hydrogen and carbon clusters.In addition,the deflection of molecular axis for diatomic molecules during the Coulomb explosion is also given for the cases both in the presence of a laser field and laser free.Finally,a future experimental scheme is put forward to measure molecular ion stopping power in plasmas in Xi’an Jiaotong University of China.Guiqiu Wang He Yi Yujiao Li Yaochuan Wang Dajun Liu Fei Gao Wei Liu Jieru Ren Xing Wang Yongtao Zhao Younian Wang 2018Matter and Radiation at Extremes2018,3,2:1

20g-C_3N_4 as a saturable absorber for the passively Q-switched Nd:LLF laser at 1.3 μm显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D) graphite carbon nitride(g-C_3N_4) nanosheets have been successfully used as a saturable absorber(SA) in a passively Q-switched Nd:LLF laser at 1.3 μm for the first time, to the best of our knowledge.Under an incident pump power of 9.97 W, the shortest pulse duration of 275 ns was acquired with output power of0.96 W and pulse repetition rate of 154 k Hz, resulting in a pulse energy of 6.2 μJ. In addition, the saturable absorption behaviors of zero-dimensional 12 nm g-C_3N_4 nanoparticles(g-C_3N_4-NPs) and three-dimensional ordered mesoporous g-C_3N_4(mpg-C_3N_4) were also observed, although their morphology and structure were quite different from 2D g-C_3N_4.
