1Chinese Stroke Center Alliance:a national effort to improve healthcare quality for acute stroke and transient ischaemic attack:rationale,design and preliminary findings显示文摘Background In June 2015,the Chinese Stroke Association(CSA)initiated the Chinese Stroke Center Alliance(CSCA)to establish the national hospital-based stroke care quality assessment and improvement platform.This article outlines its objectives,operational structure,patient population,quality improvement(QI)intervention tools,data elements,data collection methodology and current patient and hospital data.Methods The CSCA is a national,hospital-based,multicentre,voluntary,multifaceted intervention and continuous QI initiative.This multifaceted intervention includes stroke centre development,written care protocols,workshops and a monitoring/feedback system of evidencebased performance measures.The data coordinating centre of the CSCA resides at the China National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases,Beijing Tiantan Hospital.results As of July 2017,1576 hospitals in China have contributed detailed clinical information to serve as a benchmark for the stroke care quality of 433264 patients with acute stroke/transient ischaemic attacks(TIA),including 352572(81.38%)acute ischaemic stroke,30362(7.01%)TIA,42080(9.71%)spontaneous intracranial haemorrhage,5505(1.27%)subarachnoid haemorrhage and 2745(0.63%)not specified stroke.Conclusion The CSCA programme is designed to establish a continuous national stroke registry and help healthcare providers develop stroke centres and treat patients in a consistent manner in accordance with accepted national guidelines and,ultimately,improve patient outcomes.It supports the CSA mission to reduce stroke burden in China.Yongjun Wang Zixiao Li Yilong Wang Xingquan Zhao Liping Liu Xin Yang Caiyun Wang Hongqiu Gu Fuying Zhang Chunjuan Wang Ying Xian David Z Wang Qiang Dong Anding Xu Jizong Zhao Chinese Stroke Center Alliance investigators 2018Stroke & Vascular Neurology2018,3,4:38

3Genetic analysis of 'all-fish' growth hormone gene transferred carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) and its F_1 generation显示文摘Recornbinant 'all-fish' growth hormone gene (GH) was microinjected into the fertilized eggs of carp. A comparison between the growth traits of transgenics and non-transgenics was carried out, and the transgenic individuals with significant 'fast-growing' effect were successfully gained. A comparison on the reproductivities was also given out between the transgenics and their non-transgenic siblings, and showed that the reproductive capacity of transgenics was substantially equivalent to those of the non-transgenics. On the other hand, the genetic separation and the characteristic distribution of the FI generation were genetically analyzed, which gave solid evidence for the hypothesis that 2-3 chromosomes are integrated with trans-gene. In addition, the distinct biological effects for multi-site-integrated transgenes were further discussed. 4Ampullary carcinoma:Effect of preoperative biliary drainage on surgical outcome显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the influence of preoperative biliary drainage on morbidity and mortality after surgical resection for ampullary carcinoma. METHODS: We analyzed retrospectively data for 82 patients who underwent potentially curative surgery for ampullary carcinoma between September 1993 and July 2007 at the Singapore General Hospital, a tertiary referral hospital. Diagnosis of ampullary carcinoma was confirmed histologically. Thirty-five patients underwent preoperative biliary drainage (PBD group), and 47 were not drained (non-PBD group). The mode of biliary drainage was endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (n = 33) or percutaneous biliary drainage (n = 2). The following parameters were analyzed: wound infection, intra-abdominal abscess, intra-abdominal or gastrointestinal bleeding, septicemia, biliary or pancreatic leakage, pancreatitis, gastroparesis, and re-operation rate. Mortality was assessed at 30 d (hospital mortality) and also longterm. The statistical endpoint of this study was patient survival after surgery. RESULTS: The groups were well matched for demographic criteria, clinical presentation and operative characteristics, except for lower hemoglobin in the non-PBD group (10.9 ± 1.6 vs 11.8 ± 1.6 in the PBD group).Of the parameters assessing postoperative morbidity, incidence of wound infection was signif icantly less in the PBD than the non-PBD group [1 (2.9%) vs 12 (25.5%)]. However, the rest of the parameters did not differ signif icantly between the groups, i.e. sepsis [10 (28.6%) vs 14 (29.8%)], intra-abdominal bleeding [1 (2.9%) vs 5 (10.6%)], intra-abdominal abscess [1 (2.9%) vs 8 (17%)], gastrointestinal bleeding [3 (8.6%) vs 5 (10.6%)], pancreatic leakage [2 (5.7%) vs 3 (6.4%)], biliary leakage [2 (5.7%) vs 3 (6.4%)], pancreatitis [2 (5.7%) vs 2 (4.3%)], gastroparesis [6 (17.1%) vs 10 (21.3%)], need for blood transfusion [10 (28.6%) vs 17 (36.2%)] and re-operation rate [1 (2.9%) vs 5 (10.6%)]. There was no early mortality in either group. Median survival was 44 mo (95% CI: 34.2-53.8) in the PBD group and 41 mo (95% CI: 27.7-54.3; P = 0.86) in the non-PBD group. CONCLUSION: Biliary drainage before surgery for ampullary cancer significantly reduced postoperative wound infection. 5Systematic review of the outcomes of surgical resection for intermediate and advanced Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage hepatocellular carcinoma:A critical appraisal of the evidence显示文摘AIM To perform a systematic review to determine the survival outcomes after curative resection of intermediate and advanced hepatocellular carcinomas(HCC).METHODS A systematic review of the published literature was performed using the PubM ed database from 1 st January 1999 to 31 st Dec 2014 to identify studies that reported outcomes of liver resection as the primary curative treatment for Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer(BCLC) stage B or C HCC. The primary end point was to determine the overall survival(OS) and disease free survival(DFS) of liver resection of HCC in BCLC stage B or C in patients with adequate liver reserve(i.e., Child's A or B status). The secondary end points were to assess the morbidity and mortality of liver resection in large HCC(defined as lesions larger than 10 cm in diameter) and to compare the OS and DFS after surgical resection of solitary vs multifocal HCC.RESULTS We identified 74 articles which met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed in this systematic review. Analysis of the resection outcomes of the included studies were grouped according to(1) BCLC stage B or C HCC,(2) Size of HCC and(3) multifocal tumors. The median 5-year OS of BCLC stage B was 38.7%(range 10.0-57.0); while the median 5-year OS of BCLC stage C was 20.0%(range 0.0-42.0). The collective median 5-year OS of both stages was 27.9%(0.0-57.0). In examining the morbidity and mortality following liver resection in large HCC, the pooled RR for morbidity [RR(95%CI) = 1.00(0.76-1.31)] and mortality [RR(95%CI) = 1.15(0.73-1.80)] were not significant. Within the spectrum of BCLC B and C lesions, tumors greater than 10 cm were reported to have median 5-year OS of 33.0% and multifocal lesions 54.0%.CONCLUSION Indication for surgical resection should be extended to BCLC stage B lesions in selected patients. 7Anomalous variations in ionospheric TEC prior to the 2011 Japan Ms9.0 earthquake显示文摘The ionospheric total-electron-content (TEC) data provided by the International GNSS Service (IGS) network and the VTEC data from the GPS reference stations of Crustal Movement Observational Network of China(CMONC) were processed and statistically analyzed to search for earthquake-related TEC anomalies prior to the 2011 magnitude 9.0 earthquake in Japan. Preliminary results showed that anomalous variations occurred 6-11 days and 0-4 days prior to the earthquake. 8Chemical fingerprint analysis of Gentianae Radix et Rhizoma by high-performance liquid chromatography显示文摘Gentianae Radix et Rhizoma(also called 'Longdan' in Chinese)is commonly used for eliminating damp-heat and quenching the fire of liver and gall bladder in traditional Chinese medicine.In this study,a novel and reliable method using high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)was developed both for quantitative analysis of four bioactive compounds(loganic acid,swertiamarin,gentiopicroside and sweroside)and chemical fingerprint analysis of 'Longdan'.In quantitative analysis,four compounds showed good regressions(R^(2)>40.9987)within the test ranges and the recovery of the method was in the range 97.61-102.49%.In fingerprint analysis,ten characteristic peaks were selected to evaluate the similarities of the crude drugs,and the HPLC chromatograms of twenty samples from different regions of China showed similar patterns.The results demonstrated that the combination of the quantitative and chromatographic fingerprint analyses offered an efficient way to evaluate the quality consistency of Gentianae Radix et Rhizoma.Baozhong Duan Jianyong Hu Linfang Huang Xianying Yang Fuying Chen 2012Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2012,2,1:8

10Excessive gestational weight gain in early pregnancy and insufficient gestational weight gain in middle pregnancy increased risk of gestational diabetes mellitus显示文摘Background:Gestational weight gain(GWG)is associated with the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).However,the effect of weight gain in different trimesters on the risk of GDM is unclear.This study aimed to evaluate the effect of GWG on GDM during different trimesters.Methods:A birth cohort study was conducted from 2017 to 2020 in Shenzhen,China.In total,51,205 participants were included comprising two models(early pregnancy model and middle pregnancy model).Gestational weight(kg)was measured at each prenatal clinical visit using a standardized weight scale.Logistic regression analysis was used to assess the risk of GDM.Interaction analysis and mediation effect analysis were performed in the middle pregnancy model.Results:In the early pregnancy model,the risk of GDM was 0.858 times lower(95%confidence interval[CI]:0.786,0.937)with insufficient GWG(iGWG)and 1.201 times higher(95%CI:1.097,1.316)with excessive GWG after adjustment.In the middle pregnancy model,the risk of GDM associated with iGWG increased 1.595 times(95%CI:1.418,1.794)after adjustment;for excessive GWG,no significant difference was found(P=0.223).Interaction analysis showed no interaction between GWG in early pregnancy(GWG-E)and GWG in middle pregnancy(GWG-M)(F=1.268;P=0.280).The mediation effect analysis indicated that GWG-M plays a partial mediating role,with an effect proportion of 14.9%.Conclusions:eGWG-E and iGWG-M are associated with an increased risk of GDM.Strict control of weight gain in early pregnancy is needed,and sufficient nutrition should be provided in middle pregnancy.Aiqi Yin Fuying Tian Xiaoxia Wu Yixuan Chen Kan Liu Jianing Tong Xiaonian Guan Huafan Zhang Linlin Wu Jianmin Niu 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,9:5
11A statistical investigation of pre-earthquake ionospheric TEC anomalies显示文摘Previous researches show that the total electron content (TEC) in the ionospheric exhibits anomalous disturbances a few days or hours prior to earthquakes. The paper used TEC data from Internet GPS Service (IGS), and examined 50 earthquakes of magnitude Ms≥7.0 during 2007-2009 worldwide. 12CSES GNSS ionospheric inversion technique, validation and error analysis显示文摘With the increased number of low Earth orbit(LEO) satellites equipped with global navigation satellite system(GNSS) receiver,the LEO based GNSS slant total electron content(TEC) and electron density profile(EDP) data play an increasingly important role in space weather and ionospheric research due to improved global coverage. China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite(CSES), which was launched in February 2018, is equipped with GNSS receiver for either precise orbit determination(POD) and ionospheric inversion. The purpose of the present paper is to validate CSES GNSS ionospheric inversion technique based on the real observations and verify the accuracy of TEC and EDP retrieval based on the simulated data. The following conclusions can be drawn: the epoch difference inversion(EDI) derived from CSES can successfully retrieve the EDPs without non-occultation side measurements; the technique of EDI and the calibrated TEC inversion(CTI) have similar behaviors in inversion errors,however, the retrieved Nm F2 and hm F2 have a larger systematic error surrounding the equatorial ionization anomaly(EIA)where the assumption of spherical symmetry is often invalid; the precision and accuracy of retrieved TEC have been investigated in the paper based on the simulated data, and it is found that the accuracy of the retrieved TEC is relative to solar activity: the lower the F10.7 index, the higher the accuracy of retrieved TEC.LIN Jian SHEN XuHui HU LiangChen WANG LanWei ZHU FuYing 2018Science China(Technological Sciences)2018,61,5:5
13Identification of the starting reaction position in the hydrogenation of (N-ethyl)carbazole over Raney-Ni显示文摘Hydrogenation of carbazole and N-ethylcarbazole over Raney-Ni catalyst were realized in the temperature range of 393-503 K. 4[H] adduct dominated the hydrogenation products and the formation of 2[H] adduct was the rate-limiting step during the period, in which the conversion of carbazole was less than 40%. The hydrogenation process followed pseudo-first-order kinetics and the hydrogenation activation energies of carbazole and N-ethylcarbazole were 90 k J/mol and 115 k J/mol, respectively. The reaction starting position as well as the pathway of the hydrogenation of(N-ethyl)carbazole were investigated by comparing the kinetic characteristics of hydrogen uptake of carbazole and Nethylcarbazole. 14Ionospheric disturbances associated with the 2015 M7.8 Nepal earthquake显示文摘Based on the total electron content(TEC) derived from Global Positioning System(GPS) observations of the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China(CMONOC) and the Global Ionosphere Map(GIM)from the Center for Orbit Determination in Europe(CODE),we detected and analyzed the ionospheric variations during the 2015 M7.8 Nepal earthquake(including the pre-earthquake ionospheric anomalies and coseismic ionospheric disturbances(CIDs) following the main shock).The analysis of vertical total electron content(VTEC) time series shows that the large-scale ionospheric anomalies appeared near the epicenter two days prior to the earthquake.Moreover,the pre-earthquake ionospheric anomalies were also observed in the geomagnetically conjugated region.In view of solar-terrestrial environment,the pre-earthquake ionospheric anomalies could be associated with the Nepal earthquake.In addition,we also detected the CIDs through the high-frequency GPS observation stations.The CIDs had obvious oscillated waveforms with the peak-to-peak disturbance amplitudes of about 1 TECu and 0.4 TECu,which propagated approximately with the horizontal velocities of 877 ± 75 m/s and 319 ± 30 m/s,respectively.The former is triggered directly by the acoustic waves which originated from the energy release of the earthquake near the epicenter,while the latter could be stimulated by the acoustic-gravity waves from the partial transformation of the acoustic waves.Yiyan Zhou Jian Yang Fuying Zhu Fanfan Su Liangchen Hu Wenbo Zhai 2017Geodesy and Geodynamics2017,8,4:4
15Significantly improved hydrogen storage behaviors in MgH_(2) with Nb nanocatalyst显示文摘The study explores the excellent modification effect of Nb nanocatalyst prepared via surfactant assisted ball milling technique(SABM)on the hydrogen storage properties of MgH_(2).Optimal catalyst doping concentration was determined by comparing onset decomposition temperature,released hydrogen capacity,and reaction rate for different MgH_(2)-ywt%Nb(y=0,3,5,7,9)composites.The MgH_(2)-5wt%Nb composite started releasing hydrogen at 186.7℃ and a total of 7.0wt%hydrogen was released in the dehydrogenation process.In addition,5wt%Nb doped MgH_(2) also managed to release 4.2wt%H_(2) within 14 min at 250℃ and had the ability to absorb 4.0wt%hydrogen in 30 min at 100℃.Cycling tests revealed that MgH_(2)-5wt%Nb could retain 6.3wt%H_(2) storage capacity(89.2%)after 20 cycles.Dehydrogenation and hydrogenation activation energy values were decreased from 140.51±4.74 and 70.67±2.07 kJ·mol^(−1) to 90.04±2.83 and 53.46±3.33 kJ·mol^(−1) after doping MgH_(2) with Nb,respectively.Microstructure analysis proved that homogeneously distributed NbH acted as active catalytic unit for improving the hydrogen storage performance of MgH_(2).These results indicate SABM can be considered as an option to develop other nanocatalysts for energy related areas.Farai Michael Nyahuma Liuting Zhang Mengchen Song Xiong Lu Beibei Xiao Jiaguang Zheng Fuying Wu 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,9:3
16Preparation and characterization of sulfated TiO_2 with rhodium modification used in esterification reaction and decomposition of methyl orange显示文摘A unique Rh/TiO_2 solid acid catalyst modified with H_2SO_4 was synthesized and evaluated in the esterification reaction of propylene glycol methyl ether and decomposition of methyl orange(MO) in aqueous phase under halogen lamp irradiation. For this purpose, rhodium(Rh) nanoparticles were loaded on SO_4^(2-)/TiO_2 via the photo-deposition method. It was found that SO_4^(2-)/Rh–TiO_2 exhibited stronger catalytic activity than SO_4^(2-)/TiO_2. The new catalysts were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET), Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and high-resolution(HRTEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR). Results from XRD and BET show that SO_4^(2-)/Rh–TiO_2 has higher specific surface area and smaller pore size than SO42-/TiO_2. The distribution of loaded Rh was found to be uniform with a particle size of 2–4 nm. Data from XPS reveal that Rh primarily exists as Rh^0 and Rh^(3+)in Rh–TiO_2 and SO_4^(2)-/Rh–TiO_2. These valence forms of Rh likely contribute to the enhanced catalytic activity. Furthermore, FT-IR spectra of the catalysts show an abundance of surface hydroxyl groups, which help the formation of hydroxyl radicals and the enhancement of surface acid density. The results show that more acid sites are formed on the sulfated Rh–TiO_2, and these acidic sites are largely responsible for improving the catalytic performance. 18Identification of QTL for kernel number-related traits in a rice chromosome segment substitution line and fine mapping of qSP1显示文摘A chromosome segment substitution line (CSSL) is a powerful tool for combining quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping with the pyramiding of desirable alleles. The rice CSSL Z1364 with increased kernel number was identified in a BC3F8 population derived from a cross of Nipponbare as the recipient with Xihui 18 as the donor parent. Z1364 carried three substitution segments distributed on chromosomes 1, 6, and 8. The mean substitution length was 1.19 Mb. Of 17 QTL identified on the substitution segments, qSP1 for spikelets per panicle, qSSD1 for seed-set density, and qNSB1 for number of secondary branches explained respectively 57.34%, 87.7%, and 49.44% of the corresponding phenotypic variance and were all linked to RM6777. Chi-square analysis showed that the increased kernel number in Z1364 was inherited recessively by a single gene. By fine mapping, qSP1 was delimited to a 50-kb region on the short arm of chromosome 1. Based on DNA sequence, a previously uncharacterized rice homolog of Arabidopsis thaliana AT4G32551 was identified as a candidate gene for qSP1 in which mutation increases the number of spikelets and kernels in Z1364. qSP1 was expressed in all tissues, but particularly in 1-cm panicles. The expression levels of OsMADS22, GN1A, and DST were upregulated and those of LAX2, GNP1, and GHD7 were downregulated in Nipponbare. 19Proteorhodopsin——A new path for biological utilization of light energy in the sea显示文摘The breakthrough of environmental ge-nomics of marine microbes has revealed the exis-tence of eubacterial rhodopsin in the sea, named proteorhodopsin (PR), which can take light to pro-duce bio-energy for cell metabolism. Gene and protein sequence analysis and laser flash-induced photolysis experiments have validated the function of PR as light-driven proton-pump. During the pumping process, light energy is transformed into chemical gradient potential across plasma inner-membrane, the potential energy is then used to synthesize ATP. The finding of PR actually brings to light a novel pathway of sunlight utilization existing in heterotro-phic eubacteria in contrast to the well-known chloro-phyll-dependent photosynthesis in the sea. Since the group of PR-bearing bacteria is one of the numeri-cally richest microorganisms on the Earth, accounting for 13% of the total in sea surface water, and with averaged cellular PR molecules of 2.5×104, PR- bearing bacteria are a key component not to be ig-nored in energy metabolism and carbon cycling in the sea. 20InGaP/InGaAs/GaAs DHBT structural materials grown by GSMBE显示文摘Heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) is of great interest for the application to microwave power and analog circuits. As known, decreasing bandgap energy of the base layer in HBT can result in a smaller turn-on voltage. Using InGaAs as a base material in GaAs HBT is a possible approach to achieve the aim. In this work, a novel InGaP/InGaAs/GaAs double heterojunction bipolar transistor (DHBT) structure with an InGaAs base was designed and grown by gas source molecular beam epitaxy (GSMBE). High-quality InGaAs/GaAs hetero epi-layers and a good doping figure were obtained through optimizing the layer structure and the growth condition. The DHBT devices of a 120 μm×120 μm emitter area were fabricated by normal process and the good DC performance was obtained. A breakdown voltage of 10 V and an offset voltage of just 0.4 V were achieved.
