| 4 | Determination of the predictive factors for diagnostic positivity of nucleic acid amplification tests for diagnosing pulmonary tuberculosis显示文摘Background:Tuberculosis(TB)remains a major threat to human health,and TB diagnostic methods remain unsatisfactory.Nucleic acid amplification tests(NAATs)show higher sensitivity compared with culture for the diagnosis of pulmonary TB(PTB).However,NAATs are expensive and cannot be easily implemented outside major medical centers.To improve the sensitivity of NAATs for PTB diagnosis,we investigated the predictive factors that might optimize NAAT utilization.Methods:A total of 1263 patients with suspected PTB were enrolled for evaluation.The sensitivity,specificity,and accuracy of methods including smear-microbiology,culture of Mtb and NAAT for Mycobacterium tuberculosis(Mtb)detection in sputum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid samples were compared.Odds ratios and 95%confidence intervals were used to assess variables that might be associated with positive NAAT results for sputum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid from patients with suspected PTB.Results:NAAT showed higher sensitivity for Mtb detection(61.1%)when compared with smear(9.0%)and Mtb culture(47.8%).We found that an elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate,the presence of cavities,and positive interferon-��release assay(IGRA)results were indicative of positive Mtb detection by NAAT.Moreover,individuals who had all three of these characteristics showed an 86%diagnostic positivity for PTB from Mtb detection by NAAT.Conclusions:Our study suggests that an elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate,a positive IGRA result,and the presence of pulmonary cavities are helpful factors for predicting positive Mtb detection by NAAT.Patients with the three positive clinical markers should undergo NAAT for Mtb detection because they are the most likely individuals to be bacteriologically confirmed as having TB. | Xingfang Hou Qinglong Guo Qiao Lin Taosheng Ye Jing Bi Juan Liang Ke Yang Yuan Zhou Juanjuan Zhang Zhihang Liang Xuefeng Zhou Gengwei Zhang Xiangdong Fu Hongjian Zhong Guoliang Zhang | 2022 | Infectious Medicine2022,1,1: | 0 |
| 5 | Processes of the displacement field change of the 2009 April 6 M_W6.3 L'Aquila earthquake using persistent scatterer and small baseline methods显示文摘Using a time series method that combines both the persistent scatterer and small baseline approaches,we analyzed 9 scenes Envisat ASAR data over the L’Aquila earthquake,and obtained a Shocke’s displacement field and its evolution processes.The results show that:(1)Envisat ASAR clearly detected the whole processes of displacement field of the L’Aquila earthquake,and distinct variations at different stages of the displacement field.(2)Preseismic creep displacement?displacement mutation when faulting?constantly slowed down after the earthquake.(3)The area of the strongest deformation and ground rupture was a low-lying oval depression region to the southeast.Surface faulting within a zone of about22 km 9 14 km,with an orientation of 135°,occurred along the NW-striking and SW-dipping Paganica-S.Demetrio normal fault.(4)In analyzing an area of about54 km 9 59 km,bounded by north–south axis to the epicenter,the displacement field has significant characteristics of a watershed:westward of the epicenter shows uplift with maximum of 130 mm in line-of-sight(LOS),and east of the epicenter was a region with 220 mm of maximum subsidence in the LOS,concentrating on the rupture zone,the majority of which formed in the course of faulting and subsequence. | Sanming Luo Liming Fu Shuang Zhu Qinglong He Wenni Wan Bo Yang | 2013 | Earthquake Science2013,26,5: | 0 |
| 6 | Design,synthesis and bioassay of the emerging photo-responsive fungicides显示文摘Precise and spatiotemporal control over the pesticide remains to be a challenge.More efficient controlled release systems(CRSs)have been developed to support the precise delivery of active ingredients.Herein,we incorporated the photoremovable protecting groups(PRPGs)into phenamacril(PHE)and obtained two photo-responsive fungicides of NV-PHE and DEACM-PHE.The 4,5-dimethoxy-o-nitrobenzyl(NV)or 7-diethylaminocoumarin(DEACM)-caged PHE could release the active molecule PHE after irradiation of UV light and blue light,respectively.Optical properties and in-vitro/vivo fungicidal activities of NV-PHE and DEACM-PHE demonstrated the feasibility for light controlled release of PHE.DEACM-PHE could release 98%PHE by illumination of blue light.The irradiated DEACM-PHE could preserve the similar bioactivity of PHE,and significantly improve the in-vitro/vivo fungicidal activities compared to the non-irradiated DEACM-PHE.The optical controlled release of PHE from DEACM-PHE enabled the precise and spatiotemporal delivery of PHE,diversifying the development of CRSs for pesticide,and providing environmentfriendly agricultural applications with high pesticide efficiency. | Wen Fu Xinyue Hu Qinglong Yuan Zhiping Xu Jiagao Cheng Zhong Li Xusheng Shao | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,8: | 0 |
| 7 | Spatiotemporal characteristics of sea ice transport in the Baffin Bay and its association with atmospheric variability显示文摘Sea ice export through the Baffin Bay plays a vital role in modulating the sea ice cover variability in the Labrador Sea.In this study,satellite-derived sea ice products are used to obtain the sea ice area flux(SIAF)through the three passages in the Baffin Bay(referred to as A,B,and C for the north,middle,and south passages,respectively).The spatial variability of the monthly sea ice drift in the Baffin Bay is presented.The interannual variability and trends in SIAF via the three passages are outlined.The connection to several large-scale atmospheric circulation modes is assessed.Over the period of 1988-2015,the average annual(October to the following September)SIAF amounts to 555×10^(3) km^(2),642×10^(3) km^(2),and 551×10^(3) km^(2) through Passages A,B,and C,respectively.These quantities are less than that observed through the Fram Strait(FS,707×10^(3) km^(2))of the corresponding period.The positive trends in annual SIAF,on the order of 53.1×10^(3) km^(2)/(10 a)and 43.2×10^(3) km^(2)/(10 a)(significant at the 95%confidence level),are identified at Passages A and B,respectively.The trend of the south passage(C),however,is slightly negative(-13.3×10^(3) km^(2)/(10 a),not statistically significant).The positive trends in annual SIAF through the Passages A and B are primarily attributable to the significant increases after 2000.The connection between the Baffin Bay sea ice export and the North Atlantic Oscillation is not significant over the studied period.By contrast,the association with the cross-gate sea level pressure difference is robust in the Baffin Bay(R equals 0.69 to 0.71,depending on the passages considered),but relatively weaker than that over FS(R=0.74). | Weifu Sun Haibo Bi Min Fu Xi Liang Yunhe Wang Yu Liang Jue Huang Haijun Huang Liwen Yan Qinglong Yu Shuang Liang | 2021 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,3: | 0 |
| 8 | Insights into biobased epoxidized fatty acid isobutyl esters from biodiesel:Preparation and application as plasticizer显示文摘Biodiesel was used to prepare epoxidized fatty acid isobutyl esters(Ep-FABEs)as a biobased plasticizer in this work.Transesterification of biodiesel with isobutanol catalyzed by tetrabutyl titanate was carried out in a gas-liquid tower reactor.The conversion achieved nearly 100%within 5 h under the reaction temperature,the mass ratio of catalyst to fatty acid methyl esters(FAMEs),and isobutanol to FAMEs total molar ratio of 180℃,0.4%(mass),and 5.4:1,respectively.In addition,kinetic model of the transesterification reaction was developed at 150–190℃.The calculated activation energy was 48.93 kJ·mol^(-1).Then,the epoxidation of obtained fatty acid isobutyl esters(FABEs)was conducted in the presence of formic acid and hydrogen peroxide.The Ep-FABEs was further analyzed for its plasticizing effectiveness to replace dioctyl phthalate(DOP)and compared with conventional epoxy plasticizer epoxidized fatty acid methyl esters(Ep-FAMEs).The results indicated that the thermal stability and mechanical properties of PVC films with Ep-FABEs plasticizer were significantly improved compared with those plasticized with DOP.In addition,the extraction resistance and migration stability of Ep-FABEs were better than those of EpFAMEs.Overall,the prepared Ep-FABEs via structural modification of biodiesel proved to be a promising biobased plasticizer. | Xiaojiang Liang Fengjiao Wu Qinglong Xie Zhenyu Wu Jinjin Cai Congwen Zheng Junhong Fu Yong Nie | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,4: | 0 |
