1Failure mechanism and coupled static-dynamic loading theory in deep hard rock mining: A review显示文摘Rock failure phenomena,such as rockburst,slabbing(or spalling) and zonal disintegration,related to deep underground excavation of hard rocks are frequently reported and pose a great threat to deep mining.Currently,the explanation for these failure phenomena using existing dynamic or static rock mechanics theory is not straightforward.In this study,new theory and testing method for deep underground rock mass under coupled static-dynamic loading are introduced.Two types of coupled loading modes,i.e.'critical static stress + slight disturbance' and 'elastic static stress + impact disturbance',are proposed,and associated test devices are developed.Rockburst phenomena of hard rocks under coupled static-dynamic loading are successfully reproduced in the laboratory,and the rockburst mechanism and related criteria are demonstrated.The results of true triaxial unloading compression tests on granite and red sandstone indicate that the unloading can induce slabbing when the confining pressure exceeds a certain threshold,and the slabbing failure strength is lower than the shear failure strength according to the conventional Mohr-Column criterion.Numerical results indicate that the rock unloading failure response under different in situ stresses and unloading rates can be characterized by an equivalent strain energy density.In addition,we present a new microseismic source location method without premeasuring the sound wave velocity in rock mass,which can efficiently and accurately locate the rock failure in hard rock mines.Also,a new idea for deep hard rock mining using a non-explosive continuous mining method is briefly introduced.Xibing Li Fengqiang Gong Ming Tao Longjun Dong Kun Du Chunde Ma Zilong Zhou Tubing Yin 2017Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2017,9,4:68
2A new criterion of coal burst proneness based on the residual elastic energy index显示文摘To evaluate the coal burst proneness more precisely,a new energy criterion namely the residual elastic energy index was proposed.This study begins by performing the single-cyclic loading-unloading uniaxial compression tests with five pre-peak unloading stress levels to explore the energy storage characteristics of coal.Five types of coals from different mines were tested,and the instantaneous destruction process of the coal specimens under compression loading was recorded using a high speed camera.The results showed a linear relationship between the elastic strain energy density and input energy density,which confirms the linear energy storage law of coal.Based on this linear energy storage law,the peak elastic strain energy density of each coal specimen was obtained precisely.Subsequently,a new energy criterion of coal burst proneness was established,which was called the residual elastic energy index(defined as the difference between the peak elastic strain energy density and post peak failure energy density).Considering the destruction process and actual failure characteristics of coal specimens,the accuracy of evaluating coal burst proneness based on the residual elastic energy index was examined.The results indicated that the residual elastic energy index enables reliable and precise evaluations of the coal burst proneness.Fengqiang Gong Yunliang Wang Zhiguo Wang Junfeng Pan Song Luo 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,4:16
3Antitumor effects of the molecule-downsized immunocon-jugate composed of lidamycin and Fab' fragment of monoclonal antibody directed against type IV collagenase显示文摘Type IV collagenase plays an important role in tumor invasion and metastasis through cleaving type IV collagen in the basement membrane and extracellular matrix. In this study a molecule-downsized immunoconjugate (Fab′-LDM) was constructed by linking lidamycin (LDM), a highly potent antitumor antibiotic, to the Fab′ fragment of a monoclonal antibody directed against type IV collagenase and its antitumor effect was investigated. As assayed in 10% SDS-PAGE gel, the molecular weight of Fab′-LDM conjugate was 65 kD with a 1:1 molecular ratio of Fab′ and LDM. The Fab′-LDM conjugate maintained most part of the immunoreactivity of Fab′ fragment to both type IV collagense and mouse hepatoma 22 cells by ELISA. By MTT assay, Fab′-LDM conjugate showed more potent cytotoxicity to hepatoma 22 cells than that of LDM. Administered intravenously, Fab′-LDM conjugate proved to be more effective against the growth of subcutaneously transplanted hepatoma 22 in mice than free LDM in two experiment settings. In Experiment I, the drugs were given intravenously on day 1 and day 8. Fab′-LDM at the doses of 0.025 mg/kg, 0.05 mg/kg and 0.1 mg/kg inhibited tumor growth by 76.7%, 93.3% and 94.8%, while free LDM at 0.05 mg/kg inhibited tumor growth by 76.1%, respectively. In experiment II, the drugs were given intravenously on day 4 and day 11, Fab′-LDM at the doses of 0.025 mg/kg and 0.05 mg/kg inhibited tumor growth by 74.2%, 80.9%, while free LDM at 0.05 mg/kg inhibited tumor growth by 60.5%, respectively. In terms of survival time, Fab′-LDM was more effective than free LDM. 6Theoretical verification of the rationality of strain energy storage index as rockburst criterion based on linear energy storage law显示文摘The rationality of using strain energy storage index(Wet)for evaluating rockburst proneness was theoretically verified based on linear energy storage(LES)law in this study.The LES law is defined as the linear relationship between the elastic strain energy stored inside the solid material and the input strain energy during loading.It is used to determine the elastic strain energy and dissipated strain energy of rock specimens at various loading/unloading stress levels.The results showed that the Wetvalue obtained from experiments was close to the corresponding theoretical one from the LES law.Furthermore,with an increase in the loading/unloading stress level,the ratio of elastic strain energy to dissipated strain energy converged to the peak-strength strain energy storage index(Wp et).This index is stable and can better reflect the relative magnitudes of the stored energy and the dissipated energy of rocks at the whole pre-peak stage than the strain energy storage index.The peak-strength strain energy storage index can replace the conventional strain energy storage index as a new index for evaluating rockburst proneness.Fengqiang Gong Song Luo Quan Jiang Lei Xu 2022Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,6:4
7Experiments on rockburst proneness of pre-heated granite at different temperatures: Insights from energy storage, dissipation and surplus显示文摘Many underground engineering projects show that rockburst can occur in rocks at great depth and high temperature, and temperature is a critical factor affecting the intensity of rockburst. In general, temperature can affect the energy storage, dissipation, and surplus in rock. To explore the influence of temperature on the energy storage and dissipation characteristics and rockburst proneness, the present study has carried out a range of the uniaxial compression(UC) and single-cyclic loading-unloading uniaxial compression(SCLUC) tests on pre-heated granite specimens at 20℃-700℃. The results demonstrate that the rockburst proneness of pre-heated granite initially increases and subsequently decreases with the increase of temperature. The temperature of 300℃ has been found to be the threshold for rockburst proneness. Meanwhile, it is found that the elastic strain energy density increases linearly with the total input strain energy density for the pre-heated granites, confirming that the linear energy property of granite has not been altered by temperature. According to this inherent property, the peak elastic strain energy of pre-heated granites can be calculated accurately. On this basis, utilising the residual elastic energy index, the rockburst proneness of pre-heated granite can be determined quantitatively. The obtained results from high to low are: 317.9 k J/m^(3)(300℃), 264.1 k J/m^(3)(100℃), 260.6 k J/m^(3)(20℃), 235.5 k J/m^(3)(500℃), 158.9 k J/m^(3)(700℃), which are consistent with the intensity of actual rockburst for specimens. In addition, the relationship between temperature and energy storage capacity(ESC) of granite was discussed, revealing that high temperature impairs ESC of rocks, which is essential for reducing the rockburst proneness. 8Relationships Between Parenting Style, Self-Perception and Shyness Among Chinese Early Adolescents显示文摘The current study investigated the parenting style, self-perception, and shyness level of 1,338 junior high school students, so as to explore relationships between these variables. 9Area-based non-maximum suppression algorithm for multi-object fault detection显示文摘Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)photography has become the main power system inspection method;however,automated fault detection remains a major challenge.Conventional algorithms encounter difficulty in processing all the detected objects in the power transmission lines simultaneously.The object detection method involving deep learning provides a new method for fault detection.However,the traditional non-maximum suppression(NMS)algorithm fails to delete redundant annotations when dealing with objects having two labels such as insulators and dampers.In this study,we propose an area-based non-maximum suppression(A-NMS)algorithm to solve the problem of one object having multiple labels.The A-NMS algorithm is used in the fusion stage of cropping detection to detect small objects.Experiments prove that A-NMS and cropping detection achieve a mean average precision and recall of 88.58%and 91.23%,respectively,in case of the aerial image datasets and realize multi-object fault detection in aerial images.Jieyin BAI Jie ZHU Rui ZHAO Fengqiang GU Jiao WANG 2020Frontiers of Optoelectronics2020,13,4:3
10HER4 promotes the growth and metastasis of osteosarcoma via the PI3K/AKT pathway显示文摘Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant bone tumor,which occurs in adolescents.As reported by our previous studies,HER4 indicates a poor prognosis of primary osteosarcoma.However,its mechanisms in the pathogenesis of osteosarcoma have not yet been studied.The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of HER4 in osteosarcoma and whether the PI3K/AKT pathway is involved.In this study,western blot analysis was used to investigate the expression of HER4 protein in osteosarcoma tissues and cell lines.CCK8 and transwell assays were used to detect the effects of HER4 on the proliferation,migration,and invasion of osteosarcoma cells in vitro.The effects of HER4 on the growth and metastasis of osteosarcoma in vivo were detected by tumor formation and immunofluorescence in nude mice.The role of the PI3K/AKT pathway in HER4 regulation of the growth and metastasis of osteosarcoma was examined by western blot analysis and immunofluorescence assay.We found that HER4 protein was highly expressed in clinical osteosarcoma specimens and osteosarcoma cells.HER4 markedly promoted the proliferation,migration,and invasion of osteosarcoma cells in vitro as well as the growth and metastasis of osteosarcoma in vivo.HER4 overexpression upregulated the expression of phosphorylated protein kinase B(pAKT),proliferation marker antigen Ki67,and metastasis cell marker matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP9).Notably,PI3K/AKT inhibitor LY294002 significantly inhibited the effects of HER4 via the downregulation of pAKT,Ki67,and MMP9.Moreover,LY294002 markedly blocked the effects of HER4-induced upregulation of tum or malignancy.The present study suggests that HER4 may promote the growth and metastasis of osteosarcoma via the PI3K/AKT pathway.The HER4/PI3K/AKT pathway could serve as a potential target for the treatment of osteosarcoma.Xiaodong Li Qingshan Huang Shenglin Wang Zhen Huang Fengqiang Yu Jianhua Lin 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,4:3
11Effect of Interlayers on Microstructure and Properties of 2205/Q235B Duplex Stainless Steel Clad Plate显示文摘In this research,2205/Q235 B clad plates were prepared by a vacuum hot rolling composite process.The effects of adding Fe,Ni,and Nb interlayers on the bonding interface structures and the shear strengths of the clad steel plates were studied.The results showed that 2205 duplex stainless steel and the three interlayers produced a large amount of plastic deformation and low-angle boundaries,and the main structures were the recrystallized and deformed grains.There were many recrystallized grains in the microstructure of the Q235 B low-carbon steel due to the low deformation in the rolling process.The Fe interlayer had better wettability with the two kinds of steel,but the lower strength led to the reduction of shear strength by about14 MPa compared with the original clad steel plate.The C element in the Q235 B low-carbon steel easily diffused into the Fe interlayer,and the clad steel plate attained a poor corrosion resistance because a large decarburization area was formed.The Nb interlayer reacted with the Mo element in the 2205 duplex stainless steel to form an Nb-Mo binary alloy,which generated long-banded ferrite.The decarburization area was also produced because the Nb reacted with the C element in the Q235 B to form hard and brittle NbCx.As a result,the shear strength was significantly reduced by about 282 MPa,and the corrosion resistance of the bonding surface was deteriorated.The Ni interlayer did not react with the alloy elements in both sides,and therefore effectively prevented element diffusion and improved the corrosion resistance of the bonding surface.Due to the low strength of the Ni interlayer and the increased number of bonding surfaces of the clad steel plates,the shear strength was reduced to some extent(about 40 MPa),but it still met the engineering application standards.Fengqiang Xiao Dongpo Wang Wenbin Hu Lei Cui Zhiming Gao Lanju Zhou 2020Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2020,33,5:2

13Photoelectrochemical regeneration of all vanadium redox species for construction of a solar rechargeable flow cell显示文摘Energy storage is pivotal for the continuous utilization of solar energy suffering from the intermittency issue. Herein, we demonstrate a solar rechargeable flow cell(SRFC) based on photoelectrochemical regeneration of vanadium redox species for in-situ solar energy harvest and storage. In this device, TiO_2 and MWCNT/acetylene black(MWCNT/AB) composite are served as the photoanode and the counter electrode,respectively, with all vanadium redox couples, VO_2^+/VO^(2+)and VO^(2+)/V^(3+), as solar energy storage media.Benefitting from solar energy, the cell can be photocharged under a bias as low as 0.1 V, which is much lower than the discharge voltage of ~0.5 V. Photocharged under the optimized condition, the cell delivers a discharge energy of 23.0 mWh/L with 67.4% input electric energy savings.
