1Aspirin protected against endothelial damage induced by LDL: role of endogenous NO synthase inhibitors in rats显示文摘AIM: To study the protective effect of aspirin on damages of the endothelium induced by low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and whether the protective effect of aspirin is related to reduction of nitric oxide synthase inhibitor level. METHODS: Vascular endothelial injury was induced by a single injection of native LDL (4 mg/kg) in rats. Vasodi- lator responses to acetylcholine (ACh) in the isolated aortic rings were determined, and serum concentrations of asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA), malondialdehyde (MDA), tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and the ac- tivity of dimethylaminohydrolase (DDAH) were measured. RESULTS: A single injection of LDL (4 mg/kg) significantly decreased vasodilator responses to ACh, increased the serum level of ADMA, MDA, and TNF-α, and decreased DDAH activity. Aspirin (30 or 100 mg/kg) markedly reduced the inhibition of vasodilator responses to ACh by LDL, and the protective effect of aspirin at the lower dose was greater compared with high-dose aspirin group. Aspirin inhibited the increased level of MDA and TNF-α induced by LDL. Aspirin at the dose of 30 mg/kg, but not at higher dose (100 mg/kg), significantly reduced the concentration of ADMA and increased the activity of DDAH. 2Expression of ST13 in colorectal cancer and adjacent normal tissues显示文摘AIM: To investigate the in situ expression of suppressionof tumorigenecity 13 (ST13) mRNA in both colorectal cancer and adjacent normal tissues.METHODS: Colorectal cancer cell lines SW1116, SW620and CoLo205 were enrolled to confirm the feasibility of the in situ hybridization procedure. Seven colorectal cancer and adjacent normal tissues were included for RNA-RNA in situ hybridization.RESULTS: The expression of ST13 in the seven normal colon tissues was positive and the positive signals appeared in mucosal cells. Only three of the seven colorectal cancer tissues had positive hybridization signals that appeared in adenocarcinoma cells.CONCLUSION: The expression of ST13 decreases in colorectal cancer tissue compared with that in adjacent normal tissue. 3A Human Body Posture Recognition Algorithm Based on BP Neural Network for Wireless Body Area Networks显示文摘Human body posture recognition has attracted considerable attention in recent years in wireless body area networks(WBAN). In order to precisely recognize human body posture,many recognition algorithms have been proposed.However, the recognition rate is relatively low. In this paper, we apply back propagation(BP) neural network as a classifier to recognizing human body posture, where signals are collected from VG350 acceleration sensor and a posture signal collection system based on WBAN is designed. Human body signal vector magnitude(SVM) and tri-axial acceleration sensor data are used to describe the human body postures. We are able to recognize 4postures: Walk, Run, Squat and Sit. Our posture recognition rate is up to 91.67%. Furthermore, we find an implied relationship between hidden layer neurons and the posture recognition rate. 6A Game Theoretic Approach for Inter-Network Interference Mitigation in Wireless Body Area Networks显示文摘Wireless Body Area Network(WBAN) is an emerging technology to provide real-time health monitoring and ubiquitous healthcare services. In many applications, multiple wireless body area networks have to coexist in a small area, resulting in serious inter-network interference. This not only reduces network reliability that is especially important in emergency medical applications, but also consumes more power of WBANs. In this paper, an inter-network interference mitigation approach based on a power control algorithm is proposed. Power control is modeled as a non-cooperative game, in which both inter-network interference and energy efficiency of WBANs are considered. The existence and uniqueness of Nash Equilibrium in the game are proved, and an optimal scheme based on best response is proposed to find its Nash Equilibrium. By coordinating the transmission power levels among networks under interference environment, the total system throughput can be increased with minimum power consumed. 10Energy-efficient Medium Access Approach for Wireless Body Area Network Based on Body Posture显示文摘Energy efficiency has become one of the most important issues in wireless body area network(WBAN).In this paper,an energy-efficient medium access control(MAC)protocol for WBAN is proposed based on human body posture under walking scenery.Due to person's movements,WBAN is a dynamic network,which means that traditional static protocols are no more suitable for it.For solving this problem,firstly,the feature of human walking at a constant speed is analyzed and we divide a spell of movements into a sequence of key frames just like a video constituted by numbers of continuous frames.As a result,the dynamic walking process is translated into several static postures,which the static MAC protocol could be used for.Secondly,concerning the performance of network lifetime,we design a posture-aware approach for lifetime maximization(PA-DPLM).With analytical and simulation results provided,we demonstrate that PA-DPLM protocol is energy-efficient and can be used under constant speed walking scenery.WANG Feng HU Fengye WANG Lu DU Yu LIU Xiaolan GUO Gang 2015China Communications2015,12,12:1

12Power Allocation for Energy Harvesting in Wireless Body Area Networks显示文摘Wireless Body Area Networks(WBANs) are expected to achieve high reliable communications among a large number of sensors.The outage probability can be used to measure the reliability of the WBAN.In this paper,we optimize the outage probability with the harvested energy as constraints.Firstly,the optimal transmit power of the sensor is obtained while considering a single link between an access point(AP) located on the waist and a sensor attached on the wrist over the Rayleigh fading channel.Secondly,an optimization problem is formed to minimize the outage probability.Finally,we convert the non-convex optimization problem into convex solved by the Lagrange multiplier method.Simulations show that the optimization problem is solvable.The outage probability is optimized by performing power allocation at the sensor.And our proposed algorithm achieves minimizing the outage probability when the sensor uses energy harvesting.We also demonstrate that the average outage probability is reduced with the increase of the harvested energy.Xiaolan Liu Fengye Hu Meiqi Shao Dan Sui Gengxin He 2017China Communications2017,14,6:1
