4Effect of BN52021 on NFκ-Bp65 expression in pancreatic tissues of rats with severe acute pancreatitis显示文摘AIM: To investigate dynamic changes and significance of expression of NF-κBp65 in pancreatic tissues of rats with severe acute pancreatitis (SAP), as well as BN52021 effects. METHODS: Wistar male rats were randomly divided into negative control group (NC group, n = 60), SAP-model group (SAP group, n = 60), and BN52021-treated group (BN group, n = 60), and each of the above groups was respectively divided into 6 subgroups at different time points after operation (1 h, 2 h, 3 h, 6 h, 12 h, and 24 h) (n = 10). By RT-PCR and Western blot, NF-κBp65 mRNA and its protein expression in pancreatic tissues of rats were detected respectively. RESULTS: The expression of NF-κBp65 mRNA dynamically changed in both SAP groups and BN groups. The mRNA level was higher in SAP groups than NC groups at 2 h, 3 h, 12 h, and 24 h after operation (P < 0.05), higher in BN groups than NC groups at all time points (P < 0.05), and higher in BN groups than SAP group at 1 h (P < 0.05). The NF-κBp65 protein level was higher in SAP groups than NC groups at 1 h, 3 h, and 6 h (P < 0.01), and 2 h, 12 h, and 24 h (P < 0.05), higher in BN groups than NC groups at all time points (P < 0.05), and lower in BN groups than SAP groups at 1 h, 3 h, and 6 h (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: The expression of NF-κBp65 in pancreatic tissues is dynamically changed and the changes play an important role in pathogenesis of SAP. 5A harmonious unifying hybrid preferential model and its universal properties for complex dynamical networks显示文摘To describe the real world which is a harmonious unification world with both de- terminism and randomness, we propose a harmonious unifying hybrid preferential model (HUHPM) of a certain class of complex dynamical networks. HUHPM is gov- erned only by the total hybrid ratio d/r according to the practical need. As some typical examples, the concepts and methods of the HUHPM are applied to the un-weighted BA model proposed by Barabási et al., the weighted BBV model pro- posed by Barat et al. and the weighted TDE model proposed by Wang et al. to get the so-called HUHPM-BA network, HUHPM-BBV network and HUHPM-TDE network. These HUHPM networks are investigated both analytically and numerically. 6Serum Uric Acid is Associated with the Predicted Risk of Prevalent Cardiovascular Disease in a Community-dwelling Population without Diabetes显示文摘Objective To examine the association between serum uric acid levels and cardiovascular disease risk among individuals without diabetes. Methods We investigated the association between serum uric acid levels and the risk of prevalent cardiometabolic diseases, 10-year Framingham risk for coronary heart disease, and 10-year risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases(ASCVD) among 8,252 participants aged ≥ 40 years without diabetes from Jiading district, Shanghai, China. Results Body mass index, waist circumference, blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin, blood pressure, and serum lipids increased progressively across the sex-specific quartiles of uric acid(all P trend < 0.05). Compared with individuals in the lowest quartile, those in the higher quartiles had a significantly higher prevalence of obesity, hypertension, and dyslipidemia(all P trend < 0.05). A fully adjusted logistic regression analysis revealed that individuals in the highest quartile had an increased risk of predicted cardiovascular disease compared with those in the lowest quartile of uric acid. The multivariate adjusted odds ratios(ORs) [95% confidence intervals(CIs)] for the highest quartiles for high Framingham risk were 3.00(2.00-4.50) in men and 2.95(1.08-8.43) in women. The multivariate adjusted ORs(95% CIs) for the highest quartile for high ASCVD risk were 1.93(1.17-3.17) in men and 4.53(2.57-7.98) in women. 7Clinical characteristics and effectiveness of antiviral agents in hospitalized children with infectious mononucleosis in China:A multicenter retrospective study显示文摘Importance:The clinical characteristics of infectious mononucleosis(IM)in Chinese children have not been evaluated in multicenter studies,and the effectiveness of antiviral treatment are controversial.Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics of Chinese children with IM and current status of antiviral therapy for affected patients.Methods:Hospitalized patients with IM were enrolled between 2018 and 2020 in five children’s hospitals in China.The clinical characteristics were compared among four age groups:<3 years,3-<6 years,6-<10 years,and≥10 years.The clinical characteristics of IM and effectiveness of antiviral therapy were compared among patients receiving acyclovir(ACV),ganciclovir(GCV),and no antiviral therapy(i.e.,non-antiviral group).Results:In total,499 patients were analyzed;most patients were 3-<6 years of age.The most common symptoms and signs included fever(100%),lymphadenopathy(98.6%),pharyngitis(86.4%),eyelid edema(76.8%),and snoring(72.9%).There were significant differences in rash,hepatomegaly,and liver dysfunction among the four age groups.Patients aged<3 years had a lower incidence of liver dysfunction and a higher incidence of rash.Among the 499 patients,50.1%were treated with GCV,26.3%were treated with ACV,and 23.6%received no antiviral therapy.Compared with the non-antiviral group,patients in the ACV and GCV groups had longer durations of fever(P<0.001).There were no significant differences in the incidences of complications among the three treatment groups.Interpretation:The incidence of IM in Chinese children peaked at 3-<6 years of age.Clinical features of IM varied according to age.Patients receiving antiviral therapy exhibited more serious clinical manifestations than did patients without antiviral therapy.The effectiveness of antiviral therapy for IM requires further analysis.Huili Hu Huiling Deng Jing Bi Yi Xu Shuangjie Li Yue Xie Xinrong Sun Dongmeng Wang Xufang Li Wenxian Ouyang Bing Hu Yufeng Zhang He Tang Chunxiao Fang Hui Zhang Lingyun Guo Chen Wang Tianyi Wang Fengxia Yang Tao Jiang Zhengde Xie Gang Liu 2021Pediatric Investigation2021,5,3:12
8Mitochondrial Modulation of Apoptosis Induced by Low-dose Radiation in Mouse Testicular Cells显示文摘Objective To investigate whether apoptosis induced by low-dose radiation(LDR) is regulated by mitochondrial pathways in testicular cells.Methods Male mice were exposed to whole-body LDR,and changes in mitochondrial function and in expression of apoptotic factors were analyzed in the testicular cells as follows.Total nitric-oxide synthase(T-NOS) and Na+/K+ATPase activities were biochemically assayed.Reactive oxygen species(ROS) and mitochondrial membrane potential(Δψm) were determined by flow cytometry using fluorescent probes.Levels of mRNAs encoding cytochrome c(Cyt c) and apoptosis-inducing factor(AIF) were quantified by real-time reverse-transcription PCR(RT-PCR).Expression of Cyt c,AIF,caspase-9,and caspase-3 at the proteinlevel was assessed by western blotting and immunohistochemistry.Results LDR induced an increase in T-NOS activity and ROS levels,and a decrease in Na+/K+ATPase activity and mitochondrial Δψm,in the testicular cells.The intensity of these effects increased with time after irradiation and with dose.The cells showed remarkable swelling and vacuolization of mitochondria,and displayed a time- and dose-dependent increase in the expression of Cyt c,AIF,procaspase-9,and procaspase-3.Activation of the two procaspases was confirmed by detection of the cleaved caspases.The changes in expression of the four apoptotic factors were mostly limited to spermatogonia and spermatocytes.Conclusion LDR can induce testicular cell apoptosis through mitochondrial signaling pathways.FANG Fang GONG Ping Sheng ZHAO Hong Guang BI Yu Jing ZHAO Gang GONG Shou Liang WANG Zhi Cheng 2013Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2013,26,10:9
9Extrinsic calibration of a laser displacement sensor in a non-contact coordinate measuring machine显示文摘In order to implement 3D scanning of those complicated parts such as blades in the aviation field,a non-contact optical measuring system is established in the paper,which integrates a laser displacement sensor,a probe head,the frame of a coordinate measuring machine(CMM),etc.As the output of the laser sensor directly obtained possesses the 1D length of the laser beam,it needs to determine the unit direction vector of the laser beam denoted as(l,m,n)by calibration so as to convert the 1D values into 3D coordinates of target points.Therefore,an extrinsic calibration method based on a standard sphere is proposed to accomplish this task in the paper.During the calibration procedure,the laser sensor moves along with the motion of the CMM and gathers the required data on the spherical surface.Then,both the output of the laser sensor and the grating readings of the CMM are substituted into the constraint equation of the spherical surface,in which an over-determined nonlinear equation group containing unknown parameters is established.For the purpose of solving the equation group,a method based on non-linear least squares optimization is put forward.Finally,the system after calibration is utilized to measure the diameter of a metallic sphere 10 times from different orientations to verify the calibration accuracy.In the experiment,the errors between the measured results and the true values are all smaller than 0.03 mm,which manifests the validity and practicality of the extrinsic calibration method presented in the paper.Chao BI Jianguo FANG Kun LI Zhijun GUO 2017Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,4:8
10Scalable volumetric imaging for ultrahigh-speed brain mapping at synaptic resolution显示文摘The speed of high-resolution optical imaging has been a rate-limiting factor for meso-scale mapping of brain structures and functional circuits,which is of fundamental importance for neuroscience research.Here,we describe a new microscopy method of Volumetric Imaging with Synchronized on-the-fly-scan and Readout(VISo R)for high-throughput,high-quality brain mapping.Combining synchronized scanning beam illumination and oblique imaging over cleared tissue sections in smooth motion,the VISo R system effectively eliminates motion blur to obtain undistorted images.By continuously imaging moving samples without stopping,the system achieves high-speed 3D image acquisition of an entire mouse brain within1.5 hours,at a resolution capable of visualizing synaptic spines.A pipeline is developed for sample preparation,imaging,3D image reconstruction and quantification.Our approach is compatible with immunofluorescence methods,enabling flexible cell-type specific brain mapping and is readily scalable for large biological samples such as primate brains.Using this system,we examined behaviorally relevant whole-brain neuronal activation in 16 c-Fos-sh EGFP mice under resting or forced swimming conditions.Our results indicate the involvement of multiple subcortical areas in stress response.Intriguingly,neuronal activation in these areas exhibits striking individual variability among different animals,suggesting the necessity of sufficient cohort size for such studies.Hao Wang Qingyuan Zhu Lufeng Ding Yan Shen Chao-Yu Yang Fang Xu Chang Shu Yujie Guo Zhiwei Xiong Qinghong Shan Fan Jia Peng Su Qian-Ru Yang Bing Li Yuxiao Cheng Xiaobin He Xi Chen Feng Wu Jiang-Ning Zhou Fuqiang Xu Hua Han Pak-Ming Lau Guo-Qiang Bi 2019National Science Review2019,6,5:7
11Tonifying Qi and activating blood circulation in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine: their effects in patients with myocardial infarction显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of tonifying Qi and activating blood circulation(SQABC), a method in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), on end-point events in patients with myocardial infarction(MI) in this retrospective cohort study.METHODS: Clinical data were obtained from the medical records of patients with acute MI(AMI),both during hospitalization and follow-up, and included general demographic information(age, gender, and contact information), TCM regimens used,and end-point events.RESULTS: A total of 1596 patients with AMI were enrolled to this study, but data of only 1210 casesare accessible till follow-up. We classified the patients based on the exposure levels of SQABC.When comparing the results between all exposure and non-exposure groups, significant differences were identified, both during hospitalization and follow-ups. During hospitalization, cardiac death(4.40% vs 21.55%, P < 0.05) and cardiac shock(3.04% vs 11.62%, P < 0.05) were significantly lower in the exposure group than the non-exposure group. Similarly, during the follow-up, cardiac death(12.04% vs 20.49%, P < 0.05), acute heart failure(7.27% vs 11.81%, P < 0.05), composite endpoint of reinfarction and stroke(9.11% vs 15.28%,P < 0.05), and rehospitalization due to angina(25.49% vs 34.38%, P < 0.05) were significantly lower in the exposure group than the non-exposure group.CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that SQABC can significantly benefits the subjects in the management of high-risk AMI in them.Gao Wulin Dai Guohua Zhang Tong Bi Dongxue Liu Chunhua Shi Xiaojing Zhao Fang Zhao Chen 2018Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,5:7
12Nonlinear joint PP-PS AVO inversion based on improved Bayesian inference and LSSVM显示文摘Multiwave seismic technology promotes the application of joint PP–PS amplitude versus offset (AVO) inversion;however conventional joint PP–PS AVO inversioan is linear based on approximations of the Zoeppritz equations for multiple iterations. Therefore the inversion results of P-wave, S-wave velocity and density exhibit low precision in the faroffset;thus, the joint PP–PS AVO inversion is nonlinear. Herein, we propose a nonlinear joint inversion method based on exact Zoeppritz equations that combines improved Bayesian inference and a least squares support vector machine (LSSVM) to solve the nonlinear inversion problem. The initial parameters of Bayesian inference are optimized via particle swarm optimization (PSO). In improved Bayesian inference, the optimal parameter of the LSSVM is obtained by maximizing the posterior probability of the hyperparameters, thus improving the learning and generalization abilities of LSSVM. Then, an optimal nonlinear LSSVM model that defi nes the relationship between seismic refl ection amplitude and elastic parameters is established to improve the precision of the joint PP–PS AVO inversion. Further, the nonlinear problem of joint inversion can be solved through a single training of the nonlinear inversion model. The results of the synthetic data suggest that the precision of the estimated parameters is higher than that obtained via Bayesian linear inversion with PP-wave data and via approximations of the Zoeppritz equations. In addition, results using synthetic data with added noise show that the proposed method has superior anti-noising properties. 13Cycle stability of lithium/garnet/lithium cells with different intermediate layers显示文摘The garnet-type electrolytes such as Ta-doped Li_7La_3Zr_2O_(12)(LLZTO) have been viewed as the promising electrolytes for solid-state lithium batteries, but it exhibits problem of high interfacial resistance(1960 Ω·cm^2) and short circuit when being cycled in Li/LLZTO/Li cells at the current density above 0.5 mA·cm^(-2). Introduction of intermediate layers in between lithium and LLZTO is helpful for decreasing the interfacial resistance and suppressing the growth of lithium dendrites. In this work, three kinds of intermediate layers of Au, Nb and Si with the thickness of 100 nm were prepared. Although the interfacial resistance with the Au layer decreases from 1960 to 32 Ω·cm^2, the cells can only cycle for 0.67 h at 0.5 mA·cm^(-2), related to the Au peeled off from the LLZTO. The Nb layers lead to the initial interfacial resistance of 14 Ω·cm^2, while showing extension of cycle time to 50 h with the increase in interfacial resistance due to the formation of the resistive Li–Nb–O phase. 14Complement C7 is a novel risk gene for Alzheimer's disease in Han Chinese显示文摘Alzheimer's disease is the most common neurodegenerative disease,and has a high level of genetic heritability and population heterogeneity.In this study,we performed the whole-exome sequencing of Han Chinese patients with familial and/or early-onset Alzheimer's disease,followed by independent validation,imaging analysis and function characterization.We identified an exome-wide significant rare missense variant rs3792646(p.K420Q)in the C7 gene in the discovery stage(P=1.09×10^(-6),odds ratio=7.853)and confirmed the association in different cohorts and a combined sample(1615 cases and 2832 controls,P_(combined)=2.99×10^(-7),odds ratio=1.930).The risk allele was associated with decreased hippocampal volume and poorer working memory performance in early adulthood,thus resulting in an earlier age of disease onset.Overexpression of the mutant p.K420Q disturbed cell viability,immune activation and β-amyloid processing.Electrophysiological analyses showed that the mutant p.K420Q impairs the inhibitory effect of wild type C7 on the excitatory synaptic transmission in pyramidal neurons.These findings suggested that C7 is a novel risk gene for Alzheimer’s disease in Han Chinese.Deng-Feng Zhang Yu Fan Min Xu Guihong Wang Dong Wang Jin Li Li-Li Kong Hejiang Zhou Rongcan Luo Rui Bi Yong Wu Guo-Dong Li Ming Li Xiong-Jian Luo Hong-Yan Jiang Liwen Tan Chunjiu Zhong Yiru Fang Chen Zhang Nengyin Sheng Tianzi Jiang Yong-Gang Yao 2019National Science Review2019,6,2:6

16Elevated Resting Heart Rate is Associated with Dyslipidemia in Middle-aged and Elderly Chinese显示文摘Objective To study the relationship between resting heart rate and blood lipid level.Methods A total of 9 415 subjects aged≥40 years were included in the present study.Their resting heart rate was monitored and their serum levels of triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)were measured to define dyslipidemia according to the 2007 Chinese Guidelines on Prevention and Treatment of Dyslipidemia in Adults.Results The subjects were divided into group A with their resting heart rate<70 beats/min,group B with their resting heart rate=70-79 beats/min,group C with their resting heart rate=80-89 beats/min,and group D with their resting heart rate≥90 beats/min.High TG,TC,and LDL-C were presented across the resting heart rate(Ptrend<0.01).Multiple logistic regression analysis revealed that the risk of high TG and TC was higher in subjects with their resting heart rate≥90 beats/min than in those with their resting heart rate<70 beats/min(OR=1.42;95%CI:1.16-1.74 and OR=1.33;95%CI:1.09-1.64,respectively).Conclusion Elevated resting heart rate is associated with high TG and TC in middle-aged and elderly Chinese subjects.SUN Ji Chao HUANG Xiao Lin DENG Xin Ru LV Xiao Fei LU Jie Li CHEN Yu Hong BI Yu Fang WANG Wei Qing XU Min NING Guang 2014Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2014,27,8:5
17Current developments in drug delivery with thermosensitive liposomes显示文摘Thermosensitive liposomes(TSLs) have been an important research area in the field of tumor targeted chemotherapy. Since the first TSLs appeared that using 1,2-dipalmitoyl-snglyce-ro-3-phosphocholine(DPPC) as the primary liposomal lipid, many studies have been done using this type of liposome from basic and practical aspects. While TSLs composed of DPPC enhance the cargo release near the phase transition temperature, it has been shown that many factors affect their temperature sensitivity. Thus numerous attempts have been undertaken to develop new TSLs for improving their thermal response performance. The main objective of this review is to introduce the development and recent update of innovative TSLs formulations, including combination of radiofrequency ablation(RFA), highintensity focused ultrasound(HIFU), magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) and alternating magnetic field(AMF). 18Design and Technical Development of Wall-Climbing Robots:A Review显示文摘Once working at heights is dangerous,it is a significant accident.These accidents brought substantial economic losses and caused a large number of casualties.Therefore,it is essential to use wall-climbing robots to replace manual work at heights.The design of the wall-climbing robot is inspired by the climbing action of insects or animals.An intelligent bionic robot device can carry special equipment to operate on the wall and perform some dangerous operations instead of firefighters or inspection personnel more efficiently.The scope of application is vast.This paper firstly summarizes the research progress of wall-climbing robots with three different moving methods:wheel-climbing,crawler-based,and leg-footed robots;summarizes the applications and breakthroughs of four adsorption technologies:negative pressure,magnetic force,bionic and electrostatic;discusses the application of motion control algorithms in wall-climbing robots.Secondly,the advantages and disadvantages of different migration modes and adsorption methods are pointed out.The distribution and advantages of the combined application of different migration modes and adsorption methods are analyzed.In addition,the future development trend of wall-climbing robots and the promoting effect of bionic technology development on wall-climbing robots are proposed.The content of this paper will provide helpful guidance for the research of wall-climbing robots.Yi Fang Shuai Wang Qiushi Bi Da Cui Chuliang Yan 2022Journal of Bionic Engineering2022,19,4:5

20Characterization of T.aestivum-H.californicum chromosome addition lines DA2H and MA5H显示文摘In order to transfer useful genes of Hordeum californicum into common wheat(Triticum aestivum L.),the T.aestivum c.v.Chinese Spring(CS)-H.californicum amphiploid was crossed to CS,and its backcrossing and self-fertilized progenies were analyzed by morphological observation,cytological,biochemical and molecular marker techniques.Alien addition lines with two H.californicum chromosomes were identified and their genetic constitution was characterized.STS-PCR analysis using chromosome 2B specific markers indicated that chromosome H3 of H.californicum belongs to homoeologous group 2,and was thus designated 2H.SDS-PAGE showed that chromosome H2 of H.californicum belongs to homoeologous group 5,and was designated 5H.The CS-H.californicum amphiploid and the chromosome addition lines(DA2H and MA5H) identified were evaluated for powdery mildew(Erysiphe graminis f.sp.triticii) resistance in field.The preliminary results indicated that the amphiploid showed higher powdery mildew resistance than CS.However,chromosome addition lines DA2H and MA5H were highly susceptible to powdery mildew,indicating that major powdery mildew resistant genes of H.californicum should be located on chromosomes other than 2H and 5H.Fang Kong Haiyan Wang Aizhong Cao Bi Qin Jianhui Ji Suling Wang Xiu-E Wang 2008Journal of Genetics and Genomics2008,35,11:5
