| 3 | The Ozone Component of Global Change:Potential Effects on Agricultural and Horticultural Plant Yield,Product Quality and Interactions with Invasive Species显示文摘The productivity,product quality and competitive ability of important agricultural and horticultural plants in many regions of the world may be adversely affected by current and anticipated concentrations of ground-level ozone(O3).Exposure to elevated O3 typically results in suppressed photosynthesis,accelerated senescence,decreased growth and lower yields.Various approaches used to evaluate O3 effects generally concur that current yield losses range from 5% to 15% among sensitive plants.There is,how-ever,considerable genetic variability in plant responses to O3.To illustrate this,we show that ambient O3 concentrations in the eastern United States cause substantially different levels of damage to otherwise similar snap bean cultivars.Largely undesirable effects of O3 can also occur in seed and fruit chemistry as well as in forage nutritive value,with consequences for animal production.Ozone may alter herbicide efficacy and foster estab-lishment of some invasive species.We conclude that current and projected levels of O3 in many regions worldwide are toxic to sensitive plants of agricultural and horticultural significance.Plant breeding that incorporates O3 sensitivity into selection strategies will be increasingly necessary to achieve sustainable production with changing atmospheric composition,while reductions in O3 precursor emissions will likely benefit world food pro-duction and reduce atmospheric concentrations of an important greenhouse gas. | Fitzgerald Booker Russell Muntifering Margaret McGrath Kent Burkey Dennis Decoteau Edwin Fiscus William Manning Sagar Krupa Arthur Chappelka David Grantz | 2009 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2009，51，4： | 18 |

| 6 | 贫血对高龄女性认知功能的影响显示文摘目的分析我国长寿地区90岁以上老年女性贫血对其认知功能的影响。方法利用2008—2009年中国老年人口健康影响因素跟踪调查(CLHLS)项目研究数据,包括5个长寿地区的90岁以上老年女性383名。使用简易精神状况检查法(MMSE)量表收集研究对象认知功能信息,进行医学体格检查,测定血红蛋白等血生化指标。分析贫血组和非贫血组老人认知功能的差异,采用非条件logistic回归分析贫血对老年女性认知功能的影响。结果在383名研究对象中,贫血组141例,非贫血组242名;贫血组认知功能评分为(9.65±9.32)分,非贫血组为(13.06±10.25)分(X^2=5.59,P〈0.05);贫血组认知功能较差的比率为84.4%(119/141),非贫血组为72.3%(175/242)(X^2=8.08,P〈0.05)。多因素分析显示,在调整年龄、文化程度、婚姻状况、吸烟和饮酒后,贫血组发生认知功能受损的风险约是非贫血组的2倍(OR=2.016,95%口:1.185-3.431,P=0.010)。结论贫血会增加我国长寿地区高龄女性认知功能受损的发生风险。 | 翟屹 施小明 钱汉竹 Simon Michael Fitzgerald 曾毅 殷召雪 徐建伟 柳玉芝 | 2011 | 中华预防医学杂志2011，45，9： | 6 |
| 7 | Biomarkers in Barrett's esophagus and esophageal adenocarcinoma:Predictors of progression and prognosis显示文摘Barrett’s esophagus is a well-known premalignant lesion of the lower esophagus that is characterized by intestinal metaplasia of the squamous epithelium. It is clinically important due to the increased risk (0.5% per annum) of progression to esophageal adenocarcinoma (EA), which has a poor outcome unless diagnosed early. The current clinical management of Barrett’s esophagus is hampered by the lack of accurate predictors of progression. In addition, when patients develop EA, the current staging modalities are limited in stratifying patients into different prognostic groups in order to guide the optimal therapy for an individual patient. Biomarkers have the potential to improve radically the clinical management of patients with Barrett’s esophagus and EA but have not yet entered mainstream clinical practice. This is in contrast to other cancers like breast and prostate for which biomarkers are utilized routinely to inform clinical decisions. | 14 | Transversus abdominis plane infiltration for laparoscopic gastric banding: A pilot study显示文摘AIM: To estimate an effect size for the transversus abdominis plane(TAP) infiltration on quality of recovery in patients undergoing laparoscopic gastric band surgery. METHODS: The pilot study was a randomized, double blinded, placebo controlled trial. Patients undergoing laparoscopic gastric band surgery were randomized to receive a bilateral TAP infiltration with 20 mL of 0.5% ropivacaine or saline. The evaluated outcomes included quality of recovery-40(QoR-40) at 24 h, postoperative opioid consumption and pain. Data was examined using the Mann-Whitney U test. RESULTS: Nineteen subjects were recruited. There was a positive trend favoring the TAP infiltration group in global QoR-40 scores at 24 h after surgery, median [interquartile range(IQR)] of 175.5(170-189) com-pared to 170(160-175) in the control group(P = 0.06). There also a positive trend toward a lower cumulative opioid consumption in the TAP infiltration group, median(IQR) of 7.5(2.5-11.5) mg iv morphine equivalents compared to 13(7-21.5) in the control group(P = 0.07). Correlation analysis(Spearman's Rho) demonstrated an inverse relationship between 24 h cumulative opioid consumption and global QoR-40 scores,-0.49(P = 0.03). CONCLUSION: The use of multimodal analgesic techniques to reduce opioid related side effects is particularly desirable in morbidly obese patients undergoing gastric reduction surgery. The TAP infiltration seems to have a clinically important effect in reducing postoperative opioid consumption and improve quality of recovery after laparoscopic gastric band surgery in morbid obese patients.
