| 1 | Identifying Pb-free perovskites for solar cells by machine learning显示文摘Recent advances in computing power have enabled the generation of large datasets for materials,enabling data-driven approaches to problem-solving in materials science,including materials discovery.Machine learning is a primary tool for manipulating such large datasets,predicting unknown material properties and uncovering relationships between structure and property.Among state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms,gradient-boosted regression trees(GBRT)are known to provide highly accurate predictions,as well as interpretable analysis based on the importance of features.Here,in a search for lead-free perovskites for use in solar cells,we applied the GBRT algorithm to a dataset of electronic structures for candidate halide double perovskites to predict heat of formation and bandgap.Statistical analysis of the selected features identifies design guidelines for the discovery of new lead-free perovskites. | Jino Im Seongwon Lee Tae-Wook Ko Hyun Woo Kim YunKyong Hyon Hyunju Chang | 2019 | npj Computational Materials2019,,1: | 6 |

参与者 46393例无痛风病史的男性,通过填写经验证有效的食物频度调查表,提供他们摄入软饮料和果糖的信息。
结局评估指标 符合美国风湿病学院痛风调查标准的痛风新发病例。
结果 在12年的随访中,共报告新发痛风确诊病例755例。含糖软饮料摄入增多和痛风危险性升高相关。与每月饮用不足一份含糖软饮料相比,每周饮用5~6份的人发生痛风的多变量相对危险度是1.29(95%可信区间1.00~1.68),每天一份的是1.45(1.02~2.08),每天两份或两份以上的是1.85(1.08~3.16;趋势P值=0.002)。无糖软饮料和痛风发生的危险性无关(趋势P值=0.99)。摄入果糖每增加五分之一,相应的痛风发生的多变量相对危险度为1.00、1.29、1.41、1.84和2.02(1.49~2.75;趋势P值〈0.001)。摄入果糖的其他主要来源,比如所有种类的果汁或富含果糖的水果(苹果和橘子),也和痛风发生的风险升高相关(趋势P值〈0.05)。

| 4 | Controlling hypoxia-inducible factor-2α is critical for maintaining bone homeostasis in mice显示文摘Pathological bone loss is caused by an imbalance between bone formation and resorption.The bone microenvironments are hypoxic,and hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) is known to play notable roles in bone remodeling.However,the relevant functions of HIF-2α are not well understood.Here,we have shown that HIF-2α deficiency in mice enhances bone mass through its effects on the differentiation of osteoblasts and osteoclasts.In vitro analyses revealed that HIF-2α inhibits osteoblast differentiation by targeting Twist2 and stimulates RANKL-induced osteoclastogenesis via regulation of Traf6.In addition,HIF-2α appears to contribute to the crosstalk between osteoblasts and osteoclasts by directly targeting RANKL in osteoprogenitor cells.Experiments performed with osteoblast- and osteoclast-specific conditional knockout mice supported a role of HIF-2α in this crosstalk.HIF-2α deficiency alleviated ovariectomy-induced bone loss in mice,and specific inhibition of HIF-2α with ZINC04179524 significantly blocked RANKLmediated osteoclastogenesis.Collectively,our results suggest that HIF-2α functions as a catabolic regulator in bone remodeling,which is critical for the maintenance of bone homeostasis. | Sun Young Lee Ka Hyon Park Hyung-Gu Yu Eunbyul Kook Won-Hyun Song Gyuseok Lee Jeong-Tae Koh Hong-In Shin Je-Yong Choi Yun Hyun Huh Je-Hwang Ryu | 2019 | Bone Research2019,7,2: | 5 |

| 9 | Early pancreatic cancer in Ig G4-related pancreatic mass:A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND IgG4-related disease can manifest diversely,including autoimmune pancreatitis and IgG4-related cholangiopathy.We are reporting a very unusual cause of pancreatic cancer triggered in a previously unknown IgG4-related disease.CASE SUMMARY A 75-year-old man was diagnosed with a 43 mm×33 mm pancreatic head tumor after consulting for abdominal pain and jaundice.A pancreaticoduodenectomy was carried out uneventfully,and the histopathology report showed an early stage of acinar-cell pancreatic cancer.The patient reconsulted on the 30th postoperative day with fever,jaundice and asthenia.Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography evidenced an extense bile duct stricture.A percutaneous biliary drainage proved to be ineffective,even after exchanging it with larger bore drainage.Reviewing the surgical specimen,features compatible with IgG4-related disease were observed.Consequently,empiric treatment with steroids was initiated achieving excellent results.CONCLUSION IgG4-related disease may cause chronic inflammation of the pancreas and can condition pancreatic malignancies. | Juan Glinka Francisco Calderón Martín de Santibanes Sung Ho Hyon Adrián Gadano Eduardo Mullen Melina Pol Juan Spina Eduardo de Santibanes | 2019 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery2019,11,12: | 3 |
| 10 | RGD peptide and graphene oxide co-functionalized PLGA nanofiber scaffolds for vascular tissue engineering显示文摘In recent years,much research has been suggested and examined for the development of tissue engineering scaffolds to promote cellular behaviors.In our study,RGD peptide and graphene oxide(GO)co-functionalized poly(lactide-co-glycolide,PLGA)(RGD-GO-PLGA)nanofiber mats were fabricated via electrospinning,and their physicochemical and thermal properties were characterized to explore their potential as biofunctional scaffolds for vascular tissue engineering.Scanning electron microscopy images revealed that the RGD-GO-PLGA nanofiber mats were readily fabricated and composed of randomoriented electrospun nanofibers with average diameter of 558nm.The successful co-functionalization of RGD peptide and GO into the PLGA nanofibers was confirmed by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopic analysis.Moreover,the surface hydrophilicity of the nanofiber mats was markedly increased by co-functionalizing with RGD peptide and GO.It was found that the mats were thermally stable under the cell culture condition.Furthermore,the initial attachment and proliferation of primarily cultured vascular smoothmuscle cells(VSMCs)on the RGD-GO-PLGA nanofibermats were evaluated.It was revealed that the RGD-GO-PLGA nanofibermats can effectively promote the growth of VSMCs.In conclusion,our findings suggest that the RGD-GO-PLGA nanofiber mats can be promising candidates for tissue engineering scaffolds effective for the regeneration of vascular smooth muscle. | Yong Cheol Shin Jeonghyo Kim Sung Eun Kim Su-Jin Song SuckWon Hong Jin-Woo Oh Jaebeom Lee Jong-Chul Park Suong-Hyu Hyon Dong-Wook Han | 2017 | Regenerative Biomaterials2017,4,3: | 3 |
| 11 | Adrenal lymphangioma masquerading as a pancreatic tail cyst显示文摘Cystic lymphangiomas of the adrenal gland are rare. A 79-year-old female presented in the emergency room with epigastric discomfort, and an immovable mass was palpated in her abdomen upon physical examination. Imaging studies revealed a large cystic lesion in the pancreatic tail. The radiologic impression ruled out the possibility of a mucinous cystic neoplasm, or a pseudocyst in the pancreas. The operative findings demonstrated that the cystic mass originated in the left adrenal gland. A laparoscopic excision of the cystic mass was performed, and immunohistochemistry confirmed that this mass was a lymphangioma of the adrenal gland. Several prior reports have suggested that lymphangioma can mimic renal or splenic cysts.
