1Altered trends in carbon uptake in China’s terrestrial ecosystems under the enhanced summer monsoon and warming hiatus显示文摘The carbon budgets in terrestrial ecosystems in China are strongly coupled with climate changes.Over the past decade,China has experienced dramatic climate changes characterized by enhanced summer monsoon and decelerated warming.However,the changes in the trends of terrestrial net ecosystem production(NEP)in China under climate changes are not well documented.Here,we used three ecosystem models to simulate the spatiotemporal variations in China's NEP during 1982–2010 and quantify the contribution of the strengthened summer monsoon and warming hiatus to the NEP variations in four distinct climatic regions of the country.Our results revealed a decadal-scale shift in NEP from a downtrend of–5.95 Tg C/yr^2(reduced sink)during 1982–2000 to an uptrend of 14.22 Tg C/yr^2(enhanced sink)during 2000–10.This shift was essentially induced by the strengthened summer monsoon,which stimulated carbon uptake,and the warming hiatus,which lessened the decrease in the NEP trend.Compared to the contribution of 56.3%by the climate effect,atmospheric CO2 concentration and nitrogen deposition had relatively small contributions(8.6 and 11.3%,respectively)to the shift.In conclusion,within the context of the global-warming hiatus,the strengthening of the summer monsoon is a critical climate factor that enhances carbon uptake in China due to the asymmetric response of photosynthesis and respiration.Our study not only revealed the shift in ecosystem carbon sequestration in China in recent decades,but also provides some insight for understanding ecosystem carbon dynamics in other monsoonal areas.Honglin He Shaoqiang Wang Li Zhang Junbang Wang Xiaoli Ren Lei Zhou Shilong Piao Hao Yan Weimin Ju Fengxue Gu Shiyong Yu Yuanhe Yang Miaomiao Wang Zhongen Niu Rcmg Ge Huimin Yan Mei Huang Guoyi Zhou Yongfei Bai Zongqiang Xie Zhiyao Tang Bingfang Wu Leiming Zhang Nianpeng He Qiufeng Wang Guirui Yu 2019National Science Review2019,6,3:24
2Measurement of interstation phase velocity by wavelet transformation显示文摘In this paper,we present wavelet transformation method to measure interstation phase velocity. We use Morlet wavelet function as mother wavelet to filter two seismograms at various period of interest,and correlate the wavelet filtered seismograms to form cross-correlogram. If both wavelet filtered signals are in phase at that period,the phase of the cross-correlogram is a minimum. 3APPLICATION OF GENETIC ALGORITHM IN PARTICLE SIZE ANALYSIS BY MULTISPECTRAL EXTINCTION MEASUREMENTS显示文摘Both dependent and independent model algorithms are designed with genetic algorithm (GA) to retrieve aerosol size data from multispectral extinction measurements. Compared with the traditional dependent model algorithm, e.g., simplex, GA can locate the global optimized solution instead of local ones. As an independent model algorithm, when combined with B-splines, GA gives consistent results with Chahine and Phillip-Twomey-NNLS algorithms. Numerical simulations also show that GA has high stability and good resistance to relatively higher error levels. 4Selective hydrogenation of acetylene on SiO_2-supported Ni-Ga alloy and intermetallic compound显示文摘Ni/Si O_2 and bimetallic Ni_xGa/SiO_2 catalysts with different Ni/Ga atomic ratios(x = 10~2) were investigated for the selective hydrogenation of acetylene.It was found that Ni_xGa/SiO_2 showed higher selectivity to ethylene than Ni/Si O_2.This is attributed to the formation Ni-Ga alloy and Ni3 Ga intermetallic compound(IMC) where there was a charge transfer from Ga to Ni,which is favorable for reducing the adsorption strength and amount of ethylene on Ni atoms.As a result,the over-hydrogenation,the C–C bond hydrogenolysis and the polymerization were suppressed,and subsequently the selectivity to ethylene was enhanced.With the decrease of Ni/Ga atomic ratio,the activity and stability of the Ni_xGa/SiO_2 catalysts increased first and then decreased,while the ethylene selectivity tended to increase.Ni_5 Ga/SiO_2 exhibited the best performance.Under the conditions of 180 °C,0.1 MPa,and a reactant(1.0 vol% acetylene,5.0 vol% H_2 and 94 vol% N_2) with the space velocity of 36,000 m L h^(-1) g^(-1),the acetylene conversion maintained at 100% on Ni_5 Ga/SiO_2 during 120 h time on stream and the selectivity to ethylene was 75%~81%after reaction for 68 h.It was also found that the formation of Ni-Ga alloy and Ni_3 Ga IMC suppressed the incorporation of carbon to form NiCx,subsequently enhancing the catalyst stability.Additionally,with increasing the Ga content,the catalyst acid amount and strength tended to increase,which promoted the polymerization and carbon deposition and so the catalyst deactivation.Lei Wang Fengxu Li Yanjun Chen Jixiang Chen 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,2:6
5Undifferentiated (embryonal) sarcoma of liver in adult: A case report显示文摘We report a case of undifferentiated (embryonal)sarcoma of the liver (UESL), which showed cystic formation in a 20-year-old man with no prior history of any hepatitis or liver cirrhosis. He was admitted with abdominal pain and a palpable epigastric mass. The physical examination findings were unremarkable except for a tenderness mass and the results of routine laboratory studies were all within normal limits. Abdominal ultrasound and computed tomography (CT) both showed a cystic mass in the left hepatic lobe. Subsequently, the patient underwent a tumor excision and another two times of hepatectomy because of tumor recurrence.Immunohistochemical study results showed that the tumor cells were positive for vimentin, alpha-1-antichymotrypsin (AACT) and desmin staining, and negative for alphafetoprotein (AFP), and eosinophilic hyaline globules in the cytoplasm of some giant cells were strongly positive for periodic acid-Schiff (PAS) staining. The pathological diagnosis was UESL. 7The Expression of MMP-3 and TIMP-1 During Orthodontic Periodontium Remodeling in Rats显示文摘目的 :观察大鼠正畸牙周组织改建过程中基质金属蛋白酶 - 3(MMP - 3)和金属蛋白酶组织抑制因子 - 1(TIMP - 1)表达的变化 ,探讨MMP - 3及TIMP - 1与正畸牙齿移动的关系。方法 :在SD成年大鼠上颌右侧第一磨牙与上颌切牙之间安置正畸装置 ,建立大鼠磨牙移动实验模型。于牙齿移动 1、3、5、7、14d后取材分别进行免疫组化染色、图像分析。结果 :牙齿移动 1d后 ,牙周组织细胞MMP - 3表达增强 ,5d后MMP - 3表达达到高峰 ,此时破骨细胞胞浆亦呈强阳性表达。以后MMP - 3表达有所下降 ,但仍高于对照组。而TIMP - 1于牙齿移动 3d后表达开始增强 ,7d后显著表达。结论 :MMP - 3及TIMP - 1参与了正畸牙周组织改建过程 ,MMP - 3在破骨细胞性骨吸收中起着重要作用。FENGXue Duanying-zhong LIYong-ming LINZhu 2003口腔医学研究2003,19,2:3
8Composition of sandstone and heavy minerals implies the provenance of Kuqa Depression in Jurassic, Tarim basin, China显示文摘The petrological characteristics and heavy mineral assembly of the Jurassic System in Kuqa Basin are consistent with the tectonic evolution, which is the major factor controlling the filling process of Kuqa Basin. Controlled by the source areas at the both sides of the Basin, the matrixes are dominated by sedimentary rock, high-grade metamorphic rock, acid magmatic rock, and the highest heavy mineral assemblage of zircon-garnet-magnetite in the content. According to heavy mineral indexes, the Jurassic strata can be classified into three rhythmic units of heavy mineral. The lower sequence contains abundant heavy minerals and relatively high content of detritus and its matrixes primarily came form the recycling orogen. The assemblage of 'zircon-garnet-magnetite' indicates that the sedimentary area in the early evolution period of the basin is relatively near the provenance. The middle sequence is different from the lower sequence in the heavy mineral assemblage and has the different characteristics from that of source rock. The heavy mineral assemblage is 'garnet-zircon' with the highest content of garnet and its main matrices are the high-grade metamorphic rock, acid magmatic rock and hydrothermal vein at the northeastern edge of the basin. The middle and upper sequences are characterized by the clast provenance, which is primarily from the recycling orogen at the northern edge of the basin and secondarily from the southern uplift. As a result of the two provenances, the strata with apparent changes of heavy mineral assemblage and index better coincides with the interfaces of the secondary strata sequences, which reflects the denudation history and the filling process of the orogen at the northern edge of the basin.WUChaodong LINChangsong SHENYanping FENGXue 2005Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2005,15,7:2

11High-resolution Simulation of an Extreme Heavy Rainfall Event in Shanghai Using the Weather Research and Forecasting Model: Sensitivity to Planetary Boundary Layer Parameterization显示文摘In this study,an extreme rainfall event that occurred on 25 May 2018 over Shanghai and its nearby area was simulated using the Weather Research and Forecasting model,with a focus on the effects of planetary boundary layer(PBL)physics using double nesting with large grid ratios(15:1 and 9:1).The sensitivity of the precipitation forecast was examined through three PBL schemes:the Yonsei University Scheme,the Mellor−Yamada−Nakanishi Niino Level 2.5(MYNN)scheme,and the Mellor−Yamada−Janjic scheme.The PBL effects on boundary layer structures,convective thermodynamic and large-scale forcings were investigated to explain the model differences in extreme rainfall distributions and hourly variations.The results indicated that in single coarser grids(15 km and 9 km),the extreme rainfall amount was largely underestimated with all three PBL schemes.In the inner 1-km grid,the underestimated intensity was improved;however,using the MYNN scheme for the 1-km grid domain with explicitly resolved convection and nested within the 9-km grid using the Kain−Fritsch cumulus scheme,significant advantages over the other PBL schemes are revealed in predicting the extreme rainfall distribution and the time of primary peak rainfall.MYNN,with the weakest vertical mixing,produced the shallowest and most humid inversion layer with the lowest lifting condensation level,but stronger wind fields and upward motions from the top of the boundary layer to upper levels.These factors all facilitate the development of deep convection and moisture transport for intense precipitation,and result in its most realistic prediction of the primary rainfall peak.Rui WANG Yiting ZHU Fengxue QIAO Xin-Zhong LIANG Han ZHANG Yang DING 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,1:1

18Microbial production of L-malate from renewable non-food feedstocks显示文摘L-malate is an intermediate of the tricarboxylic acid cycle which is naturally occurred in various microorganisms,and it has been widely applied in polymer,beverage and food,textile,agricultural and pharmaceutical industries.Driven by the pursuit of a sustainable economy,microbial production of L-malate has received much attention in last decades.In this review,we focus on the utilization of wastes and/or byproducts as feedstocks for the microbial production of L-malate.Firstly,we present the recent developments on the natural or engineered metabolic pathways that dedicate to the biosynthesis of L-malate,and also provide a comprehensive discussions on developing high-efficient producers.Then,the recent achievements in microbial production of L-malate from various carbon sources were concluded and discussed.Furthermore,some abundant non-food feedstocks which have been used for microbial production of other chemicals were reviewed,as they may be potential candidate feedstock for L-malate production in future.Finally,we outlined the major challenges and proposed further improvements for the production of L-malate.Youming Jiang Xiaohan Ye Tianwen Zheng Weiliang Dong Fengxue Xin Jiangfeng Ma Min Jiang 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,2:1
