1Soil-water characteristics of Gaomiaozi bentonite by vapour equilibrium technique显示文摘Soil-water characteristics of Gaomiaozi(GMZ)Ca-bentonite at high suctions(3–287MPa)are measured by vapour equilibrium technique.The soil-water retention curve(SWRC)of samples with the same initial compaction states is obtained in drying and wetting process.At high suctions,the hysteresis behaviour is not obvious in relationship between water content and suction,while the opposite holds between degree of saturation and suction.The suction variation can change its water retention behaviour and void ratio.Moreover,changes of void ratio can bring about changes in degree of saturation.Therefore,the total change in degree of saturation includes changes caused by suction and that by void ratio.In the space of degree of saturation and suction,the SWRC at constant void ratio shifts to the direction of higher suctions with decreasing void ratio.However,the relationship between water content and suction is less affected by changes of void ratio.The degree of saturation decreases approximately linearly with increasing void ratio at a constant suction.Moreover,the slope of the line decreases with increasing suction and they show an approximately linear relationship in semi-logarithmical scale.From this linear relationship,the variation of degree of saturation caused by the change in void ratio can be obtained.Correspondingly,SWRC at a constant void ratio can be determined from SWRC at different void ratios.Wenjing Sun De'an Sun Lei Fang Shiqing Liu 2014Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2014,6,1:2
2UPF1 increases amino acid levels and promotes cell proliferation in lung adenocarcinoma via the eIF2α-ATF4 axis显示文摘Up-frameshift 1(UPF1),as the most critical factor in nonsense-mediated messenger RNA(mRNA)decay(NMD),regulates tumor-associated molecular pathways in many cancers.However,the role of UPF1 in lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD)amino acid metabolism remains largely unknown.In this study,we found that UPF1 was significantly correlated with a portion of amino acid metabolic pathways in LUAD by integrating bioinformatics and metabolomics.We further confirmed that UPF1 knockdown inhibited activating transcription factor 4(ATF4)and Ser51 phosphorylation of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2α(eIF2α),the core proteins in amino acid metabolism reprogramming.In addition,UPF1 promotes cell proliferation by increasing the amino-acid levels of LUAD cells,which depends on the function of ATF4.Clinically,UPF1 mRNA expression is abnormal in LUAD tissues,and higher expression of UPF1 and ATF4 was significantly correlated with poor overall survival(OS)in LUAD patients.Our findings reveal that UPF1 is a potential regulator of tumor-associated amino acid metabolism and may be a therapeutic target for LUAD.Lei FANG Huan QI Peng WANG Shiqing WANG Tianjiao LI Tian XIA Hailong PIAO Chundong GU 2022Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,10:2

9Renewal of embryonic and neonatal-derived cardiac-resident macrophages in response to environmental cues abrogated their potential to promote cardiomyocyte proliferation via Jagged-1-Notch1显示文摘Cardiac-resident macrophages(CRMs)play important roles in homeostasis,cardiac function,and remodeling.Although CRMs play critical roles in cardiac regeneration of neonatal mice,their roles are yet to be fully elucidated.Therefore,this study aimed to investigate the dynamic changes of CRMs during cardiac ontogeny and analyze the phenotypic and functional properties of CRMs in the promotion of cardiac regeneration.During mouse cardiac ontogeny,four CRM subsets exist successively:CX3CR1+CCR2-Ly6C-MHCII-(MP1),CX3CR1lowCCR2lowLy6C-MHCII-(MP2),CX3CR1-CCR2+Ly6C+MHCII-(MP3),and CX3CR1+CCR2-Ly6C-MHCII+(MP4).MP1 cluster has different derivations(yolk sac,fetal liver,and bone marrow)and multiple functions population.Embryonic and neonatal-derived-MP1 directly promoted cardiomyocyte proliferation through Jagged-1-Notch1 axis and significantly ameliorated cardiac injury following myocardial infarction.MP2/3 subsets could survive throughout adulthood.MP4,the main population in adult mouse hearts,contributed to inflammation.During ontogeny,MP1 can convert into MP4 triggered by changes in the cellular redox state.These findings delineate the evolutionary dynamics of CRMs under physiological conditions and found direct evidence that embryonic and neonatal-derived CRMs regulate cardiomyocyte proliferation.Our findings also shed light on cardiac repair following injury.Rong Chen Shiqing Zhang Fang Liu Lin Xia Chong Wang Siamak Sandoghchian Shotorbani Huaxi Xu Subrata Chakrabarti Tianqing Peng Zhaoliang Su 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,1:1

17Facile construction of honeycomb-shaped porous carbon electrode materials using recyclable sodium chloride template for efficient lithium storage显示文摘Carbon materials are the preferred anode materials for Li-ion batteries.Here,we propose an easy and sustainable strategy to prepare honeycomb-shaped porous carbon(HPC)electrode materials through a process involving simple calcination and subsequent water washing by using polyvinyl-pyrrolidone(PVP)as carbon source and NaCl as pore-forming agent.A controllable cavity size and distribution of the carbon materials can be readily obtained solely by adjusting the NaCl amount.Results showed that the optimized HPC sample had a relatively uniform cavity distribution and a highly porous structure.Moreover,the special honeycomb-shaped structure was conducive to the electronic conductivity of the electrode materials,provided a short path for Li-ion transport and a wide interface with the electrolyte,and buffered the volume change of active materials.The special honeycomb-shaped structure was also maintained well after long cycles,which improved electrode stability.When used as anode materials for Li-ion batteries(LIBs),the sample demonstrated excellent cycling stability and rate performance,with a high specific capacity of 230 mA hg^-1 and a reversible capacity of 197 mA hg^-1,after 1200 cycles at 2 C.Overall,we introduced a simple strategy for the potential mass production of porous carbon materials for LIBs.FANG ShiQing HE HaoXuan YU YingHui LI Xiao XIE WeiCheng LI Wei JIN LuQiao YANG ZhenYu CAI JianXin 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,10:0

19Revealing the role of CCoAOMT1: fine-tuning bHLH transcription factors for optimal anther development显示文摘The tapetum,a crucial innermost layer encompassing male reproductive cells within the anther wall,plays a pivotal role in normal pollen development.The transcription factors (TFs) bHLH010/089/091 redundantly facilitate the rapid nuclear accumulation of DYSFUNCTIONAL TAPETUM 1,a gatekeeper TF in the tapetum.Nevertheless,the regulatory mechanisms governing the activity of bHLH010/089/091 remain unknown.In this study,we reveal that caffeoyl coenzyme A O-methyltransferase 1 (CCoAOMT1) is a negative regulator affecting the nuclear localization and function of bHLH010 and bHLH089,probably through their K259 site.Our findings underscore that CCoAOMT1 promotes the nuclear export and degradation of bHLH010 and bHLH089.Intriguingly,elevated CCoAOMT1 expression resulted in defective pollen development,mirroring the phenotype observed in bhlh010 bhlh089 mutants.Moreover,our investigation revealed that the K259A mutation in the bHLH089 protein disrupted its translocation from the nucleus to the cytosol and impeded its degradation induced by CCoAOMT1.Importantly,transgenic plants with the probHLH089::bHLH089^(K259A)construct failed to rescue proper pollen development or gene expression in bhlh010 bhlh089 mutants.Collectively,these findings emphasize the need to maintain balanced TF homeostasis for male fertility.They firmly establish CCoAOMT1 as a pivotal regulator that is instrumental in achieving equilibrium between the induction of the tapetum transcriptional network and ensuring appropriate anther development.Zesen Lai Jianzheng Wang Ying Fu Menghan Wang Hong Ma Shiqing Peng Fang Chang 2024Science China(Life Sciences)2024,67,3:0
20A multimode-fused sensory memory system based on a robust self-assembly nanoscaffolded BaTiO3:Eu2O3 memristor显示文摘Biologically inspired neuromorphic sensory memory systems based on memristor have received a lot of attention in the booming artificial intelligence industry due to significant potential to effectively process multi-sensory signals from complex external environments.However,many memristors have significant switching parameters disperse,which is a great challenge for using memristors in bionic neuromorphic sensory memory systems.Herein,a stable ferroelectric memristor based on the Pd/BaTiO_(3):Eu2O_(3)/La0.67Sr0.33MnO_(3)grown on Silicon structure with SrTiO_(3)as buffer layer is presented.The device possesses low coercive field voltage(-1.3-2.1 V)and robust endurance characteristic(~10^(10)cycles)through optimizing the growth temperature.More importantly,an ultra-stable artificial multimodal sensory memory system with visual and tactile functions was reported for the first time by combining a pressure sensor,a photosensitive sensor,and a robotic arm.Utilizing the above system,the sensitivity value of the system is expressed by the conductance of the memristor to realize the gradual change of external stimulus,and multi signals inputs at the same time to this system have faithfully achieved sensory adaptation to multimodal sensors.This work paves the way for future development of memristor-based perception systems in efficient multisensory neural robots.Xiaobing Yan Yinxing Zhang Ziliang Fang Yong Sun Pan Liu Jiameng Sun Xiaotong Jia Shiqing Sun Zhenqiang Guo Zhen Zhao 2023InfoMat2023,5,9:0
