1不同沉积环境及成熟度干酪根的碳氢同位素地球化学特征显示文摘干酪根的碳同位素组成与源岩类型有无相关性存在不同认识,此次研究表明,在陆相沉积条件下,腐泥型干酪根相对富集轻碳同位素^(12)C(δ^(13)C一般小于-28‰),腐殖型干酪根相对富集重碳同位素^(13)C(δ^(13)C一般大于-26‰)。热模拟实验表明,热演化过程对干酪根碳同位素不产生明显影响,但其H/C原子比随热演化程度增高而减小。已有资料对干酪根氢同位素研究较少,本文研究表明,干酪根的氢同位素组成主要与沉积介质的盐度有关。笔作者将干酪根氢同位素组成δD=-130‰作为源岩沉积介质为淡水和咸水一半咸水的界限,前者小于-130‰,后者大小-130‰。王万春 徐永昌 Manfred Schidlowski Eckhard Faber Wolfgang Stahl 1997沉积学报1997,15,A12:37
2超临界流体染色技术的过去、现在和将来(一)显示文摘介绍了超临界CO2 染色技术在世界范围的发展过程及其优于水染色的特点。阐述了超临界CO2 对纤维性能的影响 ,诸如润滑效果、CO2 吸附、结晶、收缩和热机械性能 ,超临界CO2 对纤维的玻璃化温度和有效温度以及对纤维损伤的影响。另一重要问题是在超临界CO2 中纤维与染料之间的平衡分布和影响染料溶解性的参数。文中给出了涤纶纤维的染色步骤、设备和最佳工艺参数 ,然而天然纤维的染色仍是一个问题。通过浸渍溶胀剂和交联剂 ,或在染色前对纤维改性、添加极性共溶剂 ,可以提高分散染料的染色性 ,所有这些方法增加了工艺步骤和设备清洗 ,若使用有机溶剂则将大大提高机器成本 ,采用活性分散染料可以避免这种情况。含乙烯砜基团的染料主要适宜于羊毛和聚酰胺纤维的超临界CO2染色 ,而对于纤维素纤维迄今尚未开发可行的解决方法。预计在不久的将来建造工业化规模的染色设备 ,努力实现超临界CO2 染色技术的经济效益。Elke Bach Ernst Cleve Eckhard Schollmeyer 2003印染2003,29,3:32
3Antibacterial approaches in tissue engineering using metal ions and nanoparticles:From mechanisms to applications显示文摘Bacterial infection of implanted scaffolds may have fatal consequences and,in combination with the emergence of multidrug bacterial resistance,the development of advanced antibacterial biomaterials and constructs is of great interest.Since decades ago,metals and their ions had been used to minimize bacterial infection risk and,more recently,metal-based nanomaterials,with improved antimicrobial properties,have been advocated as a novel and tunable alternative.A comprehensive review is provided on how metal ions and ion nanoparticles have the potential to decrease or eliminate unwanted bacteria.Antibacterial mechanisms such as oxidative stress induction,ion release and disruption of biomolecules are currently well accepted.However,the exact antimicrobial mechanisms of the discussed metal compounds remain poorly understood.The combination of different metal ions and surface decorations of nanoparticles will lead to synergistic effects and improved microbial killing,and allow to mitigate potential side effects to the host.Starting with a general overview of antibacterial mechanisms,we subsequently focus on specific metal ions such as silver,zinc,copper,iron and gold,and outline their distinct modes of action.Finally,we discuss the use of these metal ions and nanoparticles in tissue engineering to prevent implant failure.Maria Godoy-Gallardo Ulrich Eckhard Luis M.Delgado Yolanda J.D.de Roo Puente Mireia Hoyos-Nogués F.Javier Gil Roman A.Perez 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,12:14

5Single-cell transcriptomes and runx2b^(-/-)mutants reveal the genetic signatures of intermuscular bone formation in zebrafish显示文摘Intermuscular bones(IBs)are mineralized spicules,present in the myosepta of many,but not all,teleost species.IBs are often small and sharp,and they consequently limit how the fish can be processed;the IBs may cause injury or trauma if lodged in consumers’throats or mouths,and therefore affect the appeal of the fish to many consumers.The development of IBs in teleosts is still not fully understood and the molecular basis of IB development remains to be established.Here,the characteristics of IB tissue are evaluated based on single-cell transcriptomics in wild-type zebrafish.The analysis defined 18 distinct cell types.Differentiation trajectories showed that IBs are derived from tendons and that a core tendon-osteoblast cell lineage is related to IB formation.In particular,the functions of 10 candidate genes were evaluated via CRISPR-Cas9 mutants.Among those,runx2b^(-/-)mutants completely lost IBs,while swimming performance,growth and bone mineral density were not significantly different from runx2b^(+/+)zebrafish.Comparative single-cell RNA sequencing(sc RNA-seq)analysis in runx2b^(-/-)and runx2b^(+/+)zebrafish revealed the role of osteoblasts in IB formation.In addition,differentially expressed genes were enriched in the transforming growth factorβ/bone morphogenetic protein(TGF-β/BMP)pathway after runx2b deletion.This study provides evidence for the crucial role of runx2b regulation in IB formation.Genetic breeding can target runx2b regulation and generate strains of commercial fish species without IBs,which can improve the safe consumption and economic value of many farmed fish species.Chun-Hong Nie Shi-Ming Wan Yu-Long Chen Ann Huysseune Ya-Ming Wu Jia-Jia Zhou Alexandre Wagner Silva Hilsdorf Wei-Min Wang Paul Eckhard Witten Qiang Lin Ze-Xia Gao 2022National Science Review2022,9,11:6
6Utility of different glycemic control metrics for optimizing management of diabetes显示文摘The benchmark for assessing quality of long-term glycemic control and adjustment of therapy is currently glycated hemoglobin(Hb A1c). Despite its importance as an indicator for the development of diabeticcomplications, recent studies have revealed that this metric has some limitations; it conveys a rather complex message, which has to be taken into consideration for diabetes screening and treatment. On the basis of recent clinical trials, the relationship between Hb A1 c and cardiovascular outcomes in long-standing diabetes has been called into question. It becomes obvious that other surrogate and biomarkers are needed to better predict cardiovascular diabetes complications and assess efficiency of therapy. Glycated albumin, fructosamin, and 1,5-anhydroglucitol have received growing interest as alternative markers of glycemic control. In addition to measures of hyperglycemia, advanced glucose monitoring methods became available. An indispensible adjunct to Hb A1 c in routine diabetes care is selfmonitoring of blood glucose. This monitoring method is now widely used, as it provides immediate feedback to patients on short-term changes, involving fasting, preprandial, and postprandial glucose levels. Beyond the traditional metrics, glycemic variability has been identified as a predictor of hypoglycemia, and it might also be implicated in the pathogenesis of vascular diabetes complications. Assessment of glycemic variability is thus important, but exact quantification requires frequently sampled glucose measurements. In order to optimize diabetes treatment, there is a need for both key metrics of glycemic control on a day-to-day basis and for more advanced, user-friendly monitoring methods. In addition to traditional discontinuous glucose testing, continuous glucose sensing has become a useful tool to reveal insufficient glycemic management. This new technology is particularly effective in patients with complicated diabetes and provides the opportunity to characterize glucose dynamics. Several continuous glucose monitoring(CGM) systems, which have shown usefulness in clinical practice, are presently on the market. They can broadly be divided into systems providing retrospective or real-time information on glucose patterns. The widespread clinical application of CGM is still hampered by the lack of generallyaccepted measures for assessment of glucose profiles and standardized reporting of glucose data. 7Localized bursting of mesocarp cells triggers catastrophic fruit cracking显示文摘The so-called rain-cracking of sweet cherry fruit severely threatens commercial production.Simple observation tells us that cuticular microcracking(invisible)always precedes skin macrocracking(visible).The objective here was to investigate how a macrocrack develops.Incubating detached sweet cherry fruit in deionized water induces microcracking.Incubating fruit in D2O and concurrent magnetic resonance imaging demonstrates that water penetration occurs only(principally)through the microcracks,with nondetectable amounts penetrating the intact cuticle.Optical coherence tomography of detached,whole fruit incubated in deionized water,allowed generation of virtual cross-sections through the zone of a developing macrocrack.Outer mesocarp cell volume increased before macrocracks developed but increased at a markedly higher rate thereafter.Little change in mesocarp cell volume occurred in a control zone distant from the crack.As water incubation continued,the cell volume in the crack zone decreased,indicating leaking/bursting of individual mesocarp cells.As incubation continued still longer,the crack propagated between cells both to form a long,deep macrocrack.Outer mesocarp cell turgor did not differ significantly before and after incubation between fruit with or without macrocracks;nor between cells within the crack zone and those in a control zone distant from the macrocrack.The cumulative frequency distribution of the logtransformed turgor pressure of a population of outer mesocarp cells reveals all cell turgor data followed a normal distribution.The results demonstrate that microcracks develop into macrocracks following the volume increase of a few outer mesocarp cells and is soon accompanied by cell bursting.Eckhard Grimm Jan Hahn Daniel Pflugfelder Moritz Jonathan Schmidt Dagmar van Dusschoten Moritz Knoche 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:5
8Differential role of Hedgehog signaling in human pancreatic(patho-)physiology:An up to date review显示文摘Since the discovery of the Hedgehog(Hh)pathway in drosophila melanogaster,our knowledge of the role of Hh in embryonic development,inflammation,and cancerogenesis in humans has dramatically increased over the last decades.This is the case especially concerning the pancreas,however,real therapeutic breakthroughs are missing until now.In general,Hh signaling is essential for pancreatic organogenesis,development,and tissue maturation.In the case of acute pancreatitis,Hh has a protective role,whereas in chronic pancreatitis,Hh interacts with pancreatic stellate cells,leading to destructive parenchym fibrosis and atrophy,as well as to irregular tissue remodeling with potency of initiating cancerogenesis.In vitro and in situ analysis of Hh in pancreatic cancer revealed that the Hh pathway participates in the development of pancreatic precursor lesions and ductal adenocarcinoma including critical interactions with the tumor microenvironment.The application of specific inhibitors of components of the Hh pathway is currently subject of ongoing clinical trials(phases 1 and 2).Furthermore,a combination of Hh pathway inhibitors and established chemotherapeutic drugs could also represent a promising therapeutic approach.In this review,we give a structured survey of the role of the Hh pathway in pancreatic development,pancreatitis,pancreatic carcinogenesis and pancreatic cancer as well as an overview of current clinical trials concerning Hh pathway inhibitors and pancreas cancer.Eckhard Klieser Stefan Swierczynski Christian Mayr Tarkan Jager Johanna Schmidt Daniel Neureiter Tobias Kiesslich Romana Illig 2016World Journal of Gastrointestinal Pathophysiology2016,7,2:5
9Improved guided bone regeneration by combined application of unmodified, fresh autologous adipose derived regenerative cells and plasma rich in growth factors:A first-in-human case report and literature review显示文摘BACKGROUND Novel strategies are needed for improving guided bone regeneration(GBR) in oral surgery prior to implant placement, particularly in maxillary sinus augmentation(GBR-MSA) and in lateral alveolar ridge augmentation(LRA). This study tested the hypothesis that the combination of freshly isolated, unmodified autologous adipose-derived regenerative cells(UA-ADRCs), fraction 2 of plasma rich in growth factors(PRGF-2) and an osteoinductive scaffold(OIS)(UAADRC/PRGF-2/OIS) is superior to the combination of PRGF-2 and the same OIS alone(PRGF-2/OIS) in GBR-MSA/LRA.CASE SUMMARY A 79-year-old patient was treated with a bilateral external sinus lift procedure as well as a bilateral lateral alveolar ridge augmentation. GBR-MSA/LRA was performed with UA-ADRC/PRGF-2/OIS on the right side, and with PRGF-2/OIS on the left side. Biopsies were collected at 6 wk and 34 wk after GBRMSA/LRA. At the latter time point implants were placed. Radiographs(32 mo follow-up time) demonstrated excellent bone healing. No radiological or histological signs of inflammation were observed.
